2841  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.10.0 on: December 18, 2017, 10:36:29 PM
I used to mine doge with my five 7950's back in 2013/2014.

Last week I realized I had a backup wallet on an old drive. After 3 days of block downloading I finnaly had time to import me backup wallet.

Well fuck me senseless. No idea what I need to do right now.
Now you need to pray that you remember your wallet password.

Not sure this is true about capital gains and income taxes....Puerto Rico

but it damn sure got my attention!

wow! (if true, damn unlikely...but wow!)

Oh boy. Another potential target for retirement. Third country with no or negligible taxes for crypto investors.

I'm kinda curious what effect the activation of WavesNG will have on the value of WavesGo. With a total supply of just below 10 million and a current price of around $0,26, you'd say this could be a profitable investment, especially as WavesNG is supposed to be the backbone of fast transactions on the blockchain in 2018.
I loaded up on both WCT and WGO before the climb in anticipation of the NG protocol. Got in at a price that makes it pretty difficult to lose any money, and if either of these moon for any reason it could end up paying off quite well. 10m supply on both is low enough to throw some coins at them and both will generate tokens over time too.

Gotta say my activities on the Waves DEX have been quite profitable in the last few weeks as well. Already had a bunch of WGO and decided to allocate some more funds from Waves to WGO. Only crucial thing I'm kinda missing is WCT; interesting for airdrops 'n stuff.

I also really enjoy trading on the DEX Smiley I'm a fan of nice decentralized exchanges.
Everybody will be a fan of decentralized exchanges once regulation kicks in next year. Wink
2844  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] SONM: Supercomputer Organized by Network Mining on: December 18, 2017, 09:51:53 PM
Hi guys, I bought SNM when it was 0.08, you think now is still good time to buy ?

I did the same: bought on 0.08 and bought later on on 23cents.  Now is still a good time to buy.

i don't understand why the people think in Eur and not in satoshi or decimal. You sure gain in € if the coin grow but you must think in ETH or BTC decimals, in this mode you can improve significally your investment, otherwise you gain yes, but less.
That only works if BTC keeps climbing, which isn't guaranteed. I'm very bullish on BTC and crypto in general though, so I try to maximize my return in BTC not in USD as well.
2845  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [MCO] MONACO #1 Cryptocurrency Payments Card on: December 18, 2017, 09:49:48 PM
on you did not spread the rule that you can not make any public statements about the issuance of the card before your project is approved by the payment system visa?

Have you heard of this?
if you take this into account and if this is true, Monaco will never be able to issue his cards
MonaCo already is a confirmed Visa program manager. If you want to FUD the only reasonable angle is the AC, which as far as I'm aware still hasn't been replaced.

Been gone for a few days and noticed the last question regarding the LNC token utility aspect.

Are 100% of the fees going to be distributed among tribunal voters? Or is a part going to token holders in a way that a dividend would be distributed?

Also, since Ethereum had some major issues with that crypto kitty game (which only added 7~8 tx/sec to the blockchain), do you intend to implement further currencies for paying in the future if the slow transcations become an issue? The new Waves platform already supports over 100 tx/sec and can go up to ~1000 tx/sec, which is quite a leap from what Ethereum offers right now. Without a doubt the ERC20 blockchain will get upgraded down the line and you've already mentioned potential fiat gateways, but this in general still is something that is unclear to me.

Have the new technical papers been released yet by the way?
Hi,
I don't believe that it is currently a huge problem because if I make a quick calculation.
If we add 1 transaction per second to the Ethereum Blockchain we generate 86400 transactions (60*60*24) per day. On current freelancing platforms every job has at max ~3 bids which results in 6 transactions per job (1x creation, 3x bid, 1x accepting, 1x payout). If we divide the transactions per day (86400) by the amount of transactions per job we get the result of 14400 jobs per day. As comparison Freelancer.com currently handles ~8600 jobs per day. This proves very well that we don't need that many transactions as for example a decentralized exchange  Smiley.

All fees are distributed to the voter in the Tokenholder Tribunal to encourage voting on the platform.

Regarding Waves, it is currently no solution because they don't support smart contracts as of now but I will keep an eye on them. Other currencies are no problem to implement especially Ethereum Tokens.

The new whitepaper is already released you can find it here.

Thanks for your great question and best regards,
The Blocklancer Team
I'm mostly concerned about Ethereum breaking down again and causing delays for freelancers and clients. Or at least I was until I saw your calculations. If Ethereum doesn't upgrade its transaction throughput significantly, Blocklancer could actually end up congesting it on its own. With the Freelancer market growing at a rapid pace filling up 14400 jobs a day doesn't seem like a too outlandish target, especially if campaign managers ended up throwing their bounties onto Blocklancer to ensure that the people that join their bounty campaigns are of a high calibre.
Fortunately that's still a few years into the future though, so by then ERC20 should be much more efficient than it is right now.

With fees being distributed to the voters, would that (in analogy) make the voters similar to miners on traditional PoW blockchains? E.g. with difficulty being the amount of votes, rewards being the amount of fees and hashrate being the amount of tokens held by a given voter?

Thanks for the Whitepaper, will be reading through it over the holidays.

The patience finally pays off. I hope this isn't just a pre-news pump. What do you guys think?
Even if it is, that would just mean that the market doesn't understand what Waves is about.

Waves is just an inch away from becoming vastly superior to Ethereum and NEO in every way. So in a rational market the Waves price would be $20 to $40 this December and $100 to $400 next summer. If the market decides to "buy the rumor/sell the news" P&D, it'll just mean an additional chance to load up on discounted Waves before going for a ~50x increase.

Another freshly made account for shilling.

At least try to post something in other threads before coming straight to this one you clown. You couldn't possibly make your alts any more obvious even if you tried at this point.

BTCMILLIONAIRE, I like your style. Noticed you commented on the CoinLancer project too...VERY scammy looking, huh? Seems they could be laundering money considering their ICO contract address has very few transactions and WEIRD amounts going out for the small amounts coming in.

Protectors of the community, I support you and try to warn the community about this type of stuff too.

Funny how we take time out of our day to type, in proper English, in order to properly communicate with others while these scammy looking people always have terrible English or seem not to spend the time to actually convey their message properly.

Keep up the great work - too many scams out there. If only we could create a way to exposure scams while affording bills to do this 24/7! Haha.

PS. Funny they have a British dude talking about the coin, but it's got an Asian name and admin can't speak English. Weird.
The "dev" said he's from the "UK" (even though his English sucks). He doesn't speak any Japanese either, which is quite hilarious. Thanks for warning people by the way. Lots of newcomers lately and it would be really sad if these shitty scammers would scare them out of crypto just so they can make some pocket money.

Another question.

Will it be possible to keep the LNC tokens on a Trezor (or any off-platform wallet) and still receive the shared platform fees?
Hi,
Yes that is no problem. At least with the ledger (I only have a ledger  Smiley) but it is most likely the same with the trezor.

Best regards,
The Blocklancer Team
Perfect! I'd be too worried about hacks if I had to keep any tokens on any website, but I wouldn't want to miss out on the fees either.

To the person/people asking about stakes: Just be patient, your shares will be updated and you will get your tokens at the end of the ICO. The devs have been very busy with a lot of things, so stakes sometimes take a while to update.
2853  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs Bitcoin Cash on: December 11, 2017, 10:36:48 PM
Bitcoin Cash without any doubt is technologically better than Bitcoin. But so does many altcoins. But none has been able to beat bitcoin in adoption rate. Bitcoin still has huge demand even after this massive bullish rally. Bitcoin cash was indeed a better coin that bitcoin. But most of the traders or investors here are concerned with ROI and less risk. Bitcoin offers both. Nobody really cares about tech involved. So, for investment sake my vote goes to bitcoin.

Exactly, many altcoins like ETH/ETC/XMR are better than bitcoin, and bitcoin cash as well. But I'd like to ask you, why doesn't anybody care about the tech involved and only cares about investment? This can't last long. Eventually, people will realize that there is better technology than bitcoin, with many improvements, and will eventually "shift" their investment from bitcoin to other coins like ETC. About Bitcoin Cash, it still got strong support of miners, and can actually battle bitcoin too in future. We never know, what can happen next.
Bitcoin won't be dethroned for at least as long as it's the common denominator for all cryptos. And before any other coin gets into a position to become a serious contendor BTC should probably have scaled and upgraded.

So who is selling ?

Leasing is a great mode to shore up prices. Since mine is locked away it removes any temptation to sell.

Hodling all the way to the bank

Long time hodler here, I don't think leasing is the biggest thing that keep people in Waves. Leasing rates are pretty low if you compare it to other POS coins. The thing Waves offer is way bigger than that, that's why people buy and hodl this coin.
I bought from ICO and sold it for loss, then I realized I made a mistake and buy it again and wait. Now that decision pay me off well and I have higher expectations from Waves.

Leasing rates have increased to 5% per year, and that's not accounting for any increase in platform usage. The more people use the DEX, platform, and token creation tool (and future smart contracts), the larger the leasing ROI will become.
2855  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [MCO] MONACO #1 Cryptocurrency Payments Card on: December 11, 2017, 07:52:12 PM
As I understand it, the card will only be for the European Union. For users from Russia to receive cards and there will be no possibility? Or is it temporary?
They are at least aiming to roll out cards globally. I'm not sure if there are any specific reasons why they shouldn't be able to provide cards in Russia though.

In Russia it works like that:
If it was not approved by government - that means it is restricted.

And couple days ago I saw some news of police arresting people who were cashing bitcoins to other people (becasue there are no online services).
Sounds like it's time to leave Russia if that's true.

I dоn't knоw much аbоut this VISA industry but cаn thеy stаrt mаss prоducing cаrds withоut thе аpprоvаl оf VISA?
They (MCO) don't just have VISA approval, they are a VISA program manager.

fee waves 0.001 this is high fee,
In what world is 1 cent a high fee?

In a world where Waves is worth $22,000

When the price goes that high then the fee will be considered high. Same thing with bitcoin, when its price moon up to its current price 0.00008 withdrawal fee is too much. As for now a cent is cheapest of all. But wil lthe team consider to adjust/change it if for instance waves price goes up?

I'm sure the nodes will vote in favor of lowering the fees when Waves moves up over $100.

And it's not like Bitcoin or Ethereum... Waves can handle over 100tx/s and you don't have to "bid" to get your transaction through.
Doesn't that create an incentive to use lower fees for your own transactions? Or is that not an issue?

2859  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BitConnect - Is there any chance for BitConnect to fail? on: December 11, 2017, 01:51:22 PM
Bitconnect is 100% Scam. These lowlife, filthy maggots need to be hung. ALL their claims are lies. I bet you that soon they will close down and take off with all the people's BTC.
Then they'd be liable in court. They'll just "get hacked" at some point.
2860  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES | Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform | unofficial supporters topic on: December 11, 2017, 01:48:12 PM
It seems like 10$ is a strong resistance...

I think the real resistance is around 65/68k satoshi, a bit above the $10 wall.
Overcoming the resistance, I expect a growth of up to $12 and by the end of 2017 we might see 15/16$.
That seems way too low considering the utility of the new DEX. Binance went up 25-fold when it went live, and up until now the Waves DEX wasn't really used. So we might as well consider this gorgeous new trading tool a fresh release. Not to mention the fact that Waves wouldn't even bat an eyelash at something like cryptokitties.
