According to a news report Timo Werner has completed a permanent move and return to his former club RB Leipzig after spending two seasons with Chelsea he had 89 appearances and scored 23 goals for the club, Timo Werner is a sharp attacker who runs in between their opponents defenders with pace thus always play very well for the club, though he usually miss a lot of scoring chances, however he helped the club to win UCL as well reaching semifinals last season, he had paid his dues for the club, his return to his former club will guarantee him a regular playing time so as to get a call up to their national team for the upcoming World Cup.

The problem of Werner is the amount of missed chances in front of the goalie that is quite big and one of the worst in EPL if I am not mistaken. It is like 0.3 rate?
Since Chelsea found that unacceptable, then he was pushed out of the club. Obviously that doesn't mean that he doesn't help the club but he needs to move forward, or backward exactly, to his ancient club. Leipzig isn't in its best shape, he might help them this season..

-Gerard Pique has agreed to cancel his current contract with La Liga giants Barcelona and sign a new one with a reduced wage
-Barcelona had asked Pique, as well as De Jong, Ter Stegen and Lenglet to void their current deals and revert to the old ones signed in 2020
-Barcelona lawyers had found signs of criminality in the new contract extensions they signed in 2020 under former president Josep Bartomeu

source

Interesting news. It turns out that if I sign a contract, then in a couple of years I can refuse to fulfill it because I suspect myself of violations? But at the same time, if the counterparty makes concessions to me, then I will pretend that there was no violation and will not go to the police. Barcelona behave very strangely towards their own players.
It is a way to reduce wages and keep players without "breaching" the rules..
I could understand Pique doing this because simply he is losing progressively his spot and with all polemic around his personal life, he isn't in his best days.
De Jong, if I can formulate that correctly, is asked to whether continue playing with Barcelona and to accept removing what Barca owes him, or risk to be neglected, and since he wants to continue there...
For the others, I won't doubt seeing them doing the same. Barcelona has history of doing the same thing with its players.
2843  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: August 09, 2022, 07:34:16 PM
Paris SG is too good a team for this league. So no matter how good Marseille and Lille are, Paris SG is the strongest contender for the title. I'm thinking of Paris SG as they won the league by a wide margin this year. We saw once again how good they were in the match where Paris SG won 5-0 in the first week.
You can look at it from the other side: it's not PSG that's good (I would say it's bad because it's bad to be a cheater), but the control of the FFP by the corrupt UEFA is very bad. If the rules of the FFP were followed then PSG would be at the level of the rest of the French teams (maybe a little better). Now they are just an expensive toy in the hands of sheikhs.
They have literally inf amount of money and they were reported to FFP many times, including twice at least by Barcelona, but AFAIK, the situation in France is different from Spain. The way of counting the spending per season is different or something like that, I forgot exactly, but Ligue 1 is way easier to avoid problems comparing to La Liga where the rules are harder.
2844  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: August 09, 2022, 07:30:09 PM
It seems they already expect a loss in that game, the Manchester United players will be un-inspired playing in their home without no home supporter sitted to cheer them up.
If they will perform poorly as they did vs Brighton then Liverpool risks to humiliate them badly..
I assume Ten Hag will make modifications, mainly in the defence line and will let CR7 play since the beginning. If Martial will return in that game, this will bring more power in the attack line too.

I hope the owner could resolve this once for all and if he is busy IRL to let another trusted member to run it for him Undecided

I didn't see anything about Giroud's injury on Transfermarkt. Zlatan's injury is expected to last until Jan 15 now. They already have Origi and Rebic by the way so there is no need to worry about this. I'm pretty sure that Milan have signed Origi to have him in the starting eleven depending on his performance as well. I hope that Origi starts strongly here after Liverpool. He has a bigger opportunity here to show his skills and capabilities about scoring goals.
Giroud had muscle fatigue that's why he didn't play in the friendly game against Vicenza, as a precautions, but he will be available mostly vs Udinese.
Ibra won't be ready before 2023 and Origi has an injury too and won't be available in the first game tho.

So Haaland started his real season with 2 goals.
How many goals he can score before the end of the League?

Under or Over 30?

TDLR Manchester City already won this Premier's League.
I assume 38 goals, maybe less or little more, without seeing him leaving the field a long time due to an unfortunate injury?
I say Over 30 if he will play +30 matches.
lol @TDLR since the first round Cheesy
Liverpool will recover, they always did, and City have its weakest moments so it is early to say that but we can always vote in this topic for City as usual Grin
2848  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: August 08, 2022, 04:26:18 PM
No matter how many goals Bayern scores, they always play as if it were 0-0. This is what a system should be like in a proper football team. There is no such thing as complacency in men. They always play in proper discipline.
That reminds me of the famous destruction of Brazil national team in the World Cup. I mean half of the world would like to see them stopping at some point from scoring more goals in one of the saddest games but they didn't! It is effectively like they were playing 0-0 the whole time! Same thing for Bayern, they score bunch of goals and keep trying to add more. It is rare to see other clubs doing the same lol!

Xavi has spoken about De Jong.. and the player could leave Barcellona before the end of the summer.

Source: https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1556377321883533316

I wonder if this is just common courtesy or Xavi somehow expresses his thoughts incomprehensibly (or I just don’t understand anything)? It's obvious that Barcelona want to get rid of De Jong for financial reasons, but Xavi says he's a good player and that he's counting on him. Maybe they were unable to get De Jong to leave or cut wages by force and now they are trying to make it flattery?
I believe Barcelona collected enough money to sign new players and to pay their wages so they aren't in rush to let him go if Xavi ask Barcelona administration to keep him this season. There is another window the next winter in case he seems to be useless for the club.

Will this be the season of Real Madrid again? Because I heard doubts about them because they barely moved in the transfer market. They still rely on the majority of players who have been on the team for a long time. And most of those players are players who probably won't be in football for long. Ancelotti is very confident with what he has at the moment.
Ancelotti will start the season with a bunch of experimented players with new players that will strengthen the defence line. So Real Madrid will basically start from a high level. At the opposite, Barcelona for example will start from a lower level that's why they went crazy in this transfer window, building the team all over! so they can reach the level of the other big clubs in Europe.
Yet, I won't deny that Real Madrid might struggle in front of Barcelona, they are way better right now on paper..
BTW, I just noticed that ATM won with 4 goals to 0 vs Juve! Morata scored 3 Roll Eyes
2851  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: August 07, 2022, 09:02:49 PM
I dont know why Manchester United start this season on a bad note, and nothing have changed in the performance i feel for Ronaldo as the club have really affected his performance and being a world class player, being in a club that always lose will kill his motivation.
CR7 literally ruined his career the moment he left Real Madrid. Jumping from a team to another, let the previous team been stronger and his new team look weaker unfortunately for him. His big salary participated on that BTW and let almost all clubs refusing to sign him which is very embarrassing for a big player like him.
For ManU, that was an epic fail and they for sure need to recruit a midfielder. Rashford wasn't in his day, Fernandes missed a very good opportunity also and dunno why Maguire is still in the starting eleven! Even the goal scored was a misunderstanding between the goalkeeper and his teammate..
2852  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: August 07, 2022, 08:44:24 PM
The first half is over now, and Marseille are 2 up now.
It's getting harder to see them lose if the score is like this especially their game in terms of ball possession and far superior opportunities.
Currently Reims can only continue to survive so that no more goals are lodged in them.
Marseille won with 4 goals to 1 for Reims. Pretty good result! Luis Suarez scored 2 goals (not the Uruguayan player we all know for those who don't know the Colombian guy).
By the end of the first round, PSG showed how strong it is, Monaco secured a victory from a tough game, while Nice and Rennes unexpectedly lost points..
2853  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: August 07, 2022, 08:34:55 PM
if schalke did not receive the red card, they could have played much better, but that red card put them at a serious disadvantage, their only positive accomplishment in this match was scoring that one goal, at least they did not let their opponent keep a clean sheet
I believe Schalke was able to get a draw if they played with 11 players. Their next game won't be that easy too vs M'Gladbach, they might get a chance vs Wolfsburg but playing later vs Union will be tough. I suppose getting 5 points by the end of August will be a good result for them.
Talking about the red cards, dunno what's wrong with goalkeepers getting it in the first rounds, I remember Lyon's GK in addition to Leverkusen's one getting it. I forgot if there is another one in another league!
2854  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: August 07, 2022, 02:48:08 PM
Nice secured a draw vs Toulouse but this isn't a good start after all for them..
Lille scored 4 goals vs Auxerre, quite good result although Auxerre is a new coming team so not that strong one.
Lens and Montpellier are leading with 3 goals to 2 each with only few minutes left. If the results end like that, I would say that there isn't unexpected results except Nice obviously..
2855  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: August 07, 2022, 02:41:47 PM
I read your comments but I don't see any Manchester United among the rivals you mentioned. I predict Manchester United will also be the top challengers in the Premier League this season with their new manager Erik ten Hag as well as their new players. United have played 6 pre-season matches with 3 wins, 2 draws, 1 loss, scoring 14 goals.

Indeed, pre-season results can not be a benchmark. However, if you look at the way he plays, Ten Hag United's concoction is quite promising. United played impressive football with Ten Hag's brilliant ideas.
Dunno if you are witnessing the Manchester United 1 - 2 Brighton match or not... 10 minutes left and I am afraid that ManU will start that season with a defeat. CR7 joined the game in the second half although Martial didn't participate from the beginning due to the injury. If this can show something is how preseason matches could be misleading.
In the other game, Leicester is leading with the same score vs Brentford.
Edit: Leicester 2-2 Brentford!
2856  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: August 06, 2022, 11:14:57 PM
It was an amazing start to the league by especially Tottenham. After I saw that Southampton scored first I started to think that the game would be quite difficult for them. But they showed easily how they could make a huge comeback after. They are the team that have made the best start so far. However this can change tomorrow as Manchester City are playing against West Ham. It is normally not an easy game for them though but we don't know yet if West Ham will be able to perform like in the previous season at least.
Spurs 4 goals let them have an awesome start and unfortunately for gunners' fans their team is no longer number 1 Tongue
Chelsea got 3 points too, letting Liverpool the only one to lose points so far within big clubs.
WHU - City will not be that easy imo if West Ham will play as they used to do. Brighton wasn't bad last season and will play vs ManU. Both Manchester teams and Leicester are favourites in tomorrow's game.
2857  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: August 06, 2022, 10:59:00 PM
Literally perfect start by PSG to the season. It was just a wonderful performance from them that it helped them finish Clermont by 5-0 at the end. Messi and Neymar were just incredibly awesome. Neymar got one goal and three assists while Messi was scoring two goals and making an assist as well. I know of course that the opponent was much weaker than them but this kind of games and performances help the players motivate themselves more to play better and better as time goes on. This is crucial for the Champions League in the end.
Bayern won with 5 goals difference in Bundesliga and PSG responded with another 5 goals difference victory in Ligue 1! As you said, that was a perfect start and will make fans wonder how far PSG will go in CL mainly.
For Monaco, they ended their game with 2 goals to 1 vs Strasbourg. A tough match with a good reward for Monaco but also for the ones placing a bet on it.
2858  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: August 06, 2022, 04:48:16 PM
will bayern münchen be in first place from matchday 1 to matchday 34 ? will it be another boring season ?
will bayern be 10 points or more ahead at the end of the season ?
and will freiburg surprise all the fans again ? will they reach the champions league this year ?
and which coach will be the first to be sacked ?
can dortmund upset bayern ?
many questions that we will only be able to answer in many many weeks.

now dortmund : leverkusen > < my tip : 3:1
First question: I won't be surprised if that happens but in the first rounds, surprises might occur.
Second question: 10 points? Why not if its opponents let them fly away.
Freiburg? It is early to predict that imo
First coach to be sacked? Hertha one maybe?
Last question: we will see but so far Dortmund first game started and they are leading since the 10th minute by 1 goal vs Leverkusen Wink
2859  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: August 06, 2022, 04:43:15 PM

Honestly, I didn't expect to see Ajaccio scoring today especially in the first half after receiving 2 goals.. I still wonder how Lyon goalkeeper was thinking when he did that weird jump apart from being the first carded player in Ligue 1!
At the end Lyon were able to get 3 points and indeed a random goal would be a catastrophic start for them.
It's hard to call a draw in the first round a disaster, it's just the beginning. Well, if you look at Lyon’s prospects in Ligue 1, then let’s be honest, they won’t be able to fight PSG for the title, there will be no competitor for PSG in the League, unless Galtier makes the team’s game so terrible (I’m joking). Wink The real fight in Ligue 1 is possible only for the second and third place, this is something Lyon should really worry about.
It could be a disaster for their chances to pick an European spot and "for sure" not to pick PSG spot, hmm I mean the first spot sorry Tongue
I agree that PSG is having a very solid team right now and under good management they could go very far in CL this time.
For the moment, there is a game being played between Strasbourg 1 - 2 Monaco with only few minutes left in the game.
2860  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 06, 2022, 04:36:41 PM
Wesley Fofana is a capable defender but he is obviously not worth 80 million, yes, this amount was decided by Leicester City because they really do not want to let him go

moreover, Chelsea should not get this player at all for this price, they will be able to find other options that are more affordable options around this price tag

at the moment, his performances are decent, but when i spend 80 million on a player, i am not willing to expect only a decent performance, i am going to look for one of the best in the world, the rest is up to Chelsea whatever they think
Mind you, Leicester is asking for 80m in £ which is equal to €95m. A very abused price, higher than Maguire which turned out to be the worst deal but that's another story. I still can't believe they rejected €75m offer from Chelsea!
Now I heard that Navas could join Napoli. I mean Donnarumma is a good goalkeeper but Navas is still one of the best, that guy is very underrated unfortunately..
