2841  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is the main purpose in gambling, always to make more money? on: May 09, 2020, 06:46:58 PM
Gambling is not your regular job but a way to entertain yourself untill it becomes addiction.

you said something that few people have the courage to say, I watch a lot of youtube channels related to gambling (they are channels of people who consider themselves to be professional players) and they talk on their channels that earn money constantly with gambling, but never show the results of the bets they make, guess what they all have in common?  I play for fun and I advise people to always moderate so they don't become addicted
Maybe they are selling courses to become another way of getting an income since they are already professionals they have the facts to make it happen especially when they are already an ambassador of one's gambling platform. I also know some professional players like Daniel Negreanu, professional poker player, that has been on youtube and teaching strategies for other people but I'm not sure if he is also selling courses online on how to play.

all these youtube guys who consider themselves gamble professionals sell courses! why do they sell courses if they can earn constantly?
Since these guys are known perhaps there are some place that they are not allow to play when there are no professional players are around. So basically gambling for them is a rank game.
2842  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto casinos pros and cons on: May 09, 2020, 05:37:00 PM
I used to gamble in online casinos than the physical one thus I dont have much experience in land base casino because im not the type of gambler who go there frequently.

Im contented to gamble online wherever I am as long as I have the gadget to play. Its convenient for me and an advantage because its easy to access as well. The best for me is I can remain anonymous since kyc is optional.
I once played on physical casino before, to be honest I feel small when playing, I have played with some bosses of various company, businessman that you will literally feel small in terms of the money that you've got but I never lose a lot, I know when to stop playing with others especially when they are playing too big. Then I continue playing on online gambling casinos because I find it very convenient, easy to deal with and I don't have to take a long walk on the way to the casino. It's comfortable and it feels like home, literally lol.
2843  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think that the price of bitcoin can come down to below? on: May 09, 2020, 04:46:26 PM
If everything is possible to happen but there are certain times that they are expected to happen. Now bitcoin has survived the top of covid-19 and people are beginning to invest again in bitcoin. Also looking at the halving, I'm not expecting that price will go down below #3,500.
I believe it won't go below less than $5K as for what I have seen with it during the harsh times of the pandemic there is a strong resistance of the price coming from all direction to prevent a massive dump happening after a FUD of many people. More people now are speculating with the halving ever than before so I am expecting a good run for the bitcoin to have a huge price pump although we are expecting it to dump after the halving since we are tracing what has happened on the past 2 halving.
2844  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Blockchain a Good Career? on: May 09, 2020, 03:29:41 PM
Personally from what I am seeing with the industry right now, I think having knowledge about blockchain will help you a lot in the future because there is a big chances that it will be adopted by many entities. I don't know that much about the salary rates that you can get with it, but I guess it is relatively high compare to other jobs. Many people is doubting the blockchain because they are stuck on using the conventional way. So if asked, what are you going to get with blockchain? just answer, wait til the future comes and you'll see.
2845  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto casinos pros and cons on: May 08, 2020, 08:47:21 PM
Crypto casino are safe and we know that because we can be anonymous on playing unless they are requiring a people to submitted KYC.
Well it depends, some casinos are requiring you to compleye KYC procedures when you are playing with huge amount, just like how the exchanges are doing so they'll know part of your background.
Also once you win or lose no one will no or there is no one will know that you are playing because of casino once you go there if you have friends and know that maybe they have bad thinking about you people right now their thinking is that. I don't see disadvatanges of the online casino because most of it is advatanges.
I think the main disadvantage of casinos is that it is very addictive especially when you already tasted the sweetness of victory, the next time you'll lose you will be more of seeking vengeance without noticing that you are being greedy, out of track and worst a gambling addict. But these things are manageable when you are pretty much aware of what you are doing with your life, you just have to think of the situation that you are going into.
2846  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency can not replace fiat currency. on: May 08, 2020, 08:29:57 PM
It is right that the time didn't yet come to replace the fiat money but it is not such a matter that it never be possible. Many countries of the world have already given the legality of cryptocurrency. Now, more people are gradually being interested to the crypto world. If we compare the present position of cryptocurrency with five years ago, we see, there has been a great advancement of the crypto world. So, I hope, cryptocurrency will acquire the whole world in near future and countries will permit to use it as like as fiat money.

There are chances that cryptocurrency might replace fiat but it is very low simply because fiat is regulated by the government. The question is what if the government turn fiat money into digital currency, imagine if the world does not have fiats anymore and are just using digital ones. This is the thing that is being arranged for now, some countries are experimenting on it, they are even turning bitcoin into new economic class and asset. We can't tell future but we can decide what could be the future.
2847  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price could reach $ 100,000 by 2025 on: May 08, 2020, 07:52:30 PM
So far there is 5 years yet to reach on 2025 and it's quite impossible to predict about bitcoin before 5 years. But to be honest prediction about $100K seems to me unrealistic in my opinion although everything is possible in crypto. If we go back 3 years then we might noticed all time high of bitcoin price. But seems after 3 years till now btc become fail to touch again it's all time high. So expectation about $100K look like dream to me. I don't know from where you have got this prediction but from the last couple of years such as prediction become false. So be careful from such as predictors and do your own technical analysis.
Nothing is impossible with bitcoin when it comes to the price, it is the people that decides the price coz the decentralization is making it happen. But to be honest $100K is unrealistic, as we all know most of us are using bitcoin as an investment, if it reaches at least $30K we will going to see it going back down. We are not even sure if this year's halving will give us a good result like what we have seen in the past 2 halving.
Speculation is the core of the bitcoin price, we did not expect the ATH so we must think of its price near to that range.
2848  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: EVOLUTION OF SIGNATURE AD CAMPAIGNS (BEGINNING DAYS TO THE PRESENT) on: May 08, 2020, 06:43:56 PM
what a work gathering all these signature campaigns man, look so cool to me.

It made me remember the campaigns that I joined when I was just a member, to full member up to senior back in 2015 to 2016, though I barely remember all of those but it's good seeing your past along with the improvement of the forum. And I know most of you guys know how huge our earnings on those campaign, those were the gold times that I am missing, we kinda lay low with the campaigns now especially with bounty.
2849  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will You Play? on: May 07, 2020, 06:23:20 PM
Some big online casinos and sports betting may have their specific charity programs to help out. And most of them are probably trusted. It is not only about the trust, but also about how the gambling industry also wants to help out for charity.
personally, it will be no matter for me how percent the amount for charity. As long as it will be really helpful, it will be pleased. And of course, we can believe in the online casino for the charity as long as they are trusted ones. However, most of them, once more, are trusted.
So, it doesn't mean how much amount of donations. High impact derives from small things.
Let's keep playing as long as it can help and also can make you earn more and more money.
Well mate, you cannot just rely on what they are saying what you should asking them is transparency of the donation so it will be trusted not by you. I don't have any thing against the charitable programs that we have right there, I am just very skeptical on how they are managing it after accumulating the amount because words of affirmation is not enough to validate the actions. So it will be more attracted for people if they are providing proof of actions made. And fyi charity is voluntarily, no one is forced to donate in any amount.
2850  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why there are no Stable coin gambling sites? on: May 07, 2020, 04:46:58 PM
I am not an expert on this field, but probably because most of casinos can't operate with fiat due legislation and they are "forced" to use crypto currency. Legally speaking Stable coins have a TOS (Terms of Service) and probably gambling isn't an usage that they don't allow.
That is maybe the very reason why they are not operating with fiat currency since we do have laws on acquiring that legislation. There is also one thing in my mind that might be the reason why, there are gambling sites that has a fiat deposit feature however upon gambling you should convert it first with bitcoin, that I think in most cases, platforms are looking into more futuristic way of gambling, coz using crypto is the main difference in gambling to physical casinos right?
2851  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You own a decent amount of Bitcoin, How would you increase it on: May 07, 2020, 03:57:21 PM
Why is bitcoin necessary? The question is how to increase money in principle. Perhaps I would allocate part of the money for trading. But basically I would think how to save and only then how to increase.
Why bitcoin necessary? well we are in bitcoin forum though , that's why the Op asked to our insight on how do we increase our bitcoin value.
For example, you can buy real estate. You can also put money at a percentage. I know that at StormGain they give 10% per year.
There is always a risk just like any other thing, from estate there are some cons that I know about it that makes me too cautious on that stuff. Let's say bitcoin and real estate in comparison, in terms of emergency you cannot just liquidate the property which means you need an exact amount of time before converting it into cash unlike bitcoin. Aside from that real estate is increasing in liability when something bad happens on the property. Have double thoughts about it.
2852  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can BTC really be a safe haven? on: May 07, 2020, 03:22:08 PM
Can't call gold volatile? Gold has high volatility, it is not stable against USD.

in the last 1 year gold was up 57%, while bitcoin is  46%.

57% man! In a single year. That's pretty high volatility. Since 2014 it is 260%!!!

260%.

Gold stable for year? Tell me one stable please...
People call bitcoin is highly volatile asset because they hate it. They want to own bitcoin but they fear when they look at newspapers, websites, fake news, and price movements. Years ago, the term "virtual currency" is very common. That term, once upon a time, prevent people to learn what Bitcoin is and invest in bitcoin. Nowadays, we don't see that term too common but there are still many people who hate bitcoin and keep spreading fake news, wrong technical terms on bitcoin.
What is wrong with people these days is they are scared of what they know, it's pretty natural to human but the fact that bitcoin is still standing still conquering heights that we have already set is the thing that what it makes so strong digital currency right now. But there are really some instances that a bad news is going out and making some destructive impact on bitcoin's image as digital currency and asset those are scams and frauds that used the name of bitcoin in illegal way.
Instead of looking at Gold price and its volatility, people simply says Gold is a stable asset. LOL.
Because gold has been here for ages, gold has a physical value as it is a precious metal unlike bitcoin but there is nothing to worry about gold and bitcoin.
2853  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I would like the confirmation of more expert people on what Bitcoin is on: May 07, 2020, 02:43:34 PM
Bitcoin is a peer-to-peer electronic cash system.

According to who? That’s actually a pretty controversial statement these days.
As far as I know the creator of bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto, proposed the bitcoin in 2008 as an electronic payment system based on mathematical proof. Peer-to-peer  transaction without intermediaries, decentralized. Answering the question who, it is Satoshi Nakamoto that brought the idea of bitcoin being a peer-to-peer electronic cash system.
I would describe Bitcoin as the currency unit in a immutable decentralized ledger.
Yes it is, bitcoin being transferred electronically makes it secured and unchangeable.
2854  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: does anyone familiar with this crypto poker platform? on: May 06, 2020, 08:42:02 PM
This is my first time to see that website. Upon visiting the platform it looks so catchy, I like the theme color makes me remind of the platform that I'm playing. They are fronting their cross platform application, I don't think it is new  because we have hundred of the same gambling platfrom, I just haven't played in crossed platform yet but it looks interesting. You might want to give it a try in a small amount so you can provide us info about it, can you ?
2855  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Michael Jordan’s gambling history revisited. on: May 06, 2020, 07:55:55 PM

Pretty sure Jordan also had some bets on NBA or other sports, he just isn't "allowed" to talk about it.

I'm sure he has done that or continue doing that but he has a reputation to protect he can only talk about gambling where he can be on a safe side he cannot talk how big money he has lost from gambling, Jordan being the greatest of all time is being looked at by a lot of young people who wants to follow his footsteps, this is the reason why he is very discreet.

For sure, he can't divulge the truth about his gambling habits.
He is still endorsing Nike, and other brands, so he needs to protect his image and not break his contract by giving "bad" example to his supporters.
Being an endorser, usually you have to take care of your reputation, because once ruined even if you are the top athlete, they will think twice of renewing the contract.
Everyone has vices or worse an addiction but if you are a public figure then you should really take care of what the others sees you especially Michael Jordan is the face of NBA until now so he should be the model for all people regardless of age that's why his gambling habits is not disclose to the public. Not just his gambling stuff but also his health concern, as an endorser and athlete everything should be fine about you, until obviously when you are retired.
2856  Economy / Economics / Re: Which currency will dominate the crypto market? Please vote! on: May 06, 2020, 07:17:21 PM
0) USDT (or any other stable but I don’t think that others will become #1)
1) - BTC
You need some stability in crypto market. That’s why stable coins so popular.
With BTC you buy any other altcoin, so the conclusion is obvious - the stables and bitcoin rule the CMC
We are not going to have a stability in the market if we have bitcoin on top of the line which is running under decentralized network. Stabilization is just for the government who wants to centralize the whole scheme of crypto in which case Tether might be the top on their list. Tether is pegged for dollar so there is no doubt that this coin will be the most adopted ones the future if not bitcoin. On the second list is the ethereum which is purposely for dapps centered in making digital payments.
2857  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Experts On Bitcoin on: May 06, 2020, 06:13:16 PM
Well, my idea about cryptocurrencies lies more on how we USE it.
The use of such virtual currencies will definitely give its highlight and importance. Every perception will depend on one's point of view. They may see things as bad or good.
There are few who will truly understand.
Although it is called currency, most of us don't use it as currency like what we have in physical world which is fiat, what we tend to use it is as an investment since it is very volatile compared to conventional investment like gold that is being contrasted always with bitcoin because of the precious value in the digital world. Good to see you making this point, cryptocurrency might look scary for some who does not know about it but in reality it is something that they should be wary of because it is the future of currency.
2858  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you keep track of your gambling? how? on: May 05, 2020, 08:23:43 PM
I don't see the point of doing it at all why would we keep track of our gambling expenses?
Would it be beneficial to us and how would it help us at all?
The only thing that we would get from doing it is head ache and mostly regrets because of the sum of all the money that we lost so I would never do it.

On the one hand, you are right. The amount of loss that a person sees before him undoubtedly worsen his mood and poison the pleasure of the game. But on the other hand, this information helps to objectively evaluate the costs of gambling and it is possible to draw some conclusions (refuse games or reduce the amount of money allocated for this entertainment).
So in most light way possible, what is best for everyone is just to daily track your gambling session if you win or you lose, it will make you feel less bad if you lose in my opinion. However, what you have said might be useful if you are that technical sided kind of person then you should probably track everything you spend so you'll have an idea if you're doing just fine or not. Being organize in gambling is good until something huge rips you off.
2859  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If we are to start from beginning. on: May 05, 2020, 07:54:15 PM
I'd personally like to see less greed and an impact noticeability for people's actions, a lot of people not at the top aren't at the top because they can't handle their own funds an da lot of people near the top may have far too much influence over certain things people need...
Greed is a basic attribute of mankind. It will never go away, not even the destruction of the world will take it away. That is what man has become. On my part I will like to see a situation where I had the advance knowledge of what is happening now in 2010 when bitcoin was a shitcoin. I would buy a truckload and hold the way am holding some shitcoins now.
For some reason you can actually feel that the mankind is like a car racing, greed to win life is what drives them off and a car race would be meaningless if they are at the same speed at the same spot. Everything was peaceful until they changed our money into fiat which is not backed by any physical commodity so they could just print it out of thin air. So now rich people is getting richer and poor people gets poorer, this is what I don't like with the world now, most people are less privileged because of money.
2860  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin was mentioned in the TV Show Billions on: May 05, 2020, 07:21:47 PM
That's definitely some change right there on mainstream television. Usually they depict bitcoin as something sinister and dark that using it will taint your soul. It's a good refresher that a TV show talking about basically money has somewhat praised bitcoin--or given it a new light--in front of potentially millions of audiences. That scene would surely ignite some curious minds to search the web for answers on what backs USD after the gold standard was released by Nixon for good.
I am fond of movies especially when it is really a good one, but here is one thing that I noticed in a movie when they are including bitcoin or some kind of cryptography. It always depict the bad, every time I see bitcoin in a movie it is always used in some kind of criminal actions like buying illegal stuffs on deep web, form of terrorist ransom and the worst I've seen is that it is even used to scam people which will probably impact to people's mind that bitcoin is made for it.  Embarrassed
