2841  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who missed the good old days of Paper wallets on: May 05, 2022, 11:25:30 AM
Yeah, who wouldn't want to use paper wallet before? But it too has some flaws so it is not recommended unless you really know what you are doing because your paper wallet can be compromised by the hackers. So better used other methods to store your coins and maybe this is one reason one paper wallets are not being implemented by the majority of the altcoins that the OP mentioned.
2842  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PH banned online cockfighting - Worst gambling-related cases recorded! on: May 05, 2022, 10:33:02 AM
Online cockfighting which seems new to me and I don't know people will get the same experience of real world online cockfighting. But banning because people are addicted is good move or else they can bring more restrictions so the addiction can be reduced but banning it is okay for me because its totally not fair to treat the animals in that way for our business.
If you are not from the Philippines then you are not familiar with online cockfighting. This has been on the surge lately right after the pandemic and it become one of those revenue making from the government. However, it went out of control, people gets addicted to it, and there are reports of people just disappearing and being taken by no other that the cops itself, so this needs to be stop by the government.
2843  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Celtics vs Bucks 2nd round Series. on: May 04, 2022, 08:24:47 PM
Are we going to see a 2-0 score in the series tomorrow?

Please react guys if you think Celtics has a chance to even the series, and how do you think they'll do it.
They have the same spread in game 1, IMO, still favorite and if they win I think they'll cover, but can they win? that's the question now.
I myself fall for the Celtics hype, Lol, but yeah Boston is still the favorite, but with the way Giannis handle all the defender, it will be a very difficult series now for the Celtics. And I think the goal of the Bucks is to steal at least one game at the at the TD Garden. They just didn't steal one game but completely destroyed the Celtics. So most probably we might see 2-0 tonight.

But they have a big lead against the Bucks now. Although Giannis is finding a way in the 3rd quarter, he was visibly frustrated in the first two quarters because of the superb defense the Celtics is now putting on him.

I doubt that we will see 2-0 tonight, most likely 1-1, but as you have said, they steal one game and be back at Fiserv. So it's time for the Celtics to bounce back at game 3 in the road.
So it's good that the Boston Celtics was able to bounce back to tie the series now. But as you have said, they will have to get back the home court advantage by winning at Fiserv which is not an easy thing to do with Giannis playing very high basketball at Fiserv. It will take a lot from Boston to shoot good and Jayson Tatum to have a series like he did against the Nets. Let's see how will they fair on the road or how the others will have to step up just like they did in game 2.
2844  Economy / Speculation / Re: If Dow Jones falls 80%, bitcoin will fall 99% ? on: May 04, 2022, 07:46:56 PM
From my observation, if the market in general crashes, bitcoin follows and since bitcoin and crypto are much more volatile than the other markets you see much bigger moves. So when you see a big move on the normal markets, then crypto goes crazy, both directions.
Possible, but I think the worst we can go is to hit the previous all time high of $19k and this could be the final capitulation. So it will be really crazy to see the price goes to that level, and we might hear a lot of negative things about crypto. But we've seen it before, crazy dip, then huge recovery in the bull market. Lots of scenario playing right now, but no one can see the future we will just have to prepare for the worse.
2845  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: May 04, 2022, 07:09:30 PM
Anyways, Donaire needs to decide after this fight no matter if he win or lose and if he will still pursue his career even though he is not getting any younger. He is already vulnerable unlike these young boxers who's recover and healing process is somehow shorter.

In fairness to Nonito Donaire, he's not like any boxer that is currently in the retirement period but still showing explosiveness. The fact that Donaire established 2 wins at between 38 and 39 years of age, and take note, it was both 4th round knockout wins, how can we even think that it's time now to hang his gloves.

Actually, from what I see, he just moves forward by having a rematch with Inoue because he won his previous fights and become a champion. For let's say he loses in his last fights, I doubt Donaire will still push on a rematch with Inoue. It means, he knows that he has the power to defeat Inoue regardless of the chance.

The main objective now is how to execute it properly on the day of the fight.
I definitely agree about that, Donaire decides that he will continue to push this rematch because he managed to defeat two boxers with yes a KO in both 4th round in the same year, last year. That feat alone was literally something given his age but his aggressiveness and power definitely doesn't agree with that age because he's still like in his early 30s. But we will see how would this rematch end because if he will win then I guess there's a trilogy but if he loses again then I think there's nothing to look forward to.
It's not just about the power, every boxer has a punchers chance, it's about Donaire keeping up with his timing as he gets old. Even if you have power but you don't know when to throw it because your timing is off, the opponent can beat you. But Donaire seems to preserved his timing, that's why when he clipped Ouballi, it was really over because he counter him with that big left of his with precision timing.
2846  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 04, 2022, 06:47:21 PM
^^ Yeah, Just woke up and surprised to see that the Bucks is down, it seems that the outside shooting of the Celtics is good in this game.

And then Giannis is being check in this game, no easy shots for him and the usual double or triple team when he has the ball. We might see 1-1 tonight.

It happened, Celtics adjust so well in guarding Giannis while their shooting also adjust and contributions from Jaylen Brown

help them up in dominating and winning this game, Giannis and the rest of the Bucks tried to rally back in the
third, but Tatum and the whole cast of Boston are aware and not willing to allow that run, they push more in the
last quarter to secure that big lead and win the game.
Almost everyone have thought that the Bucks will close the game with a 2-0 lead in their series but the Celtics adjusted well and played impressively to catch up with their loss on the 1st game. They now know how to stop the Bucks especially Giannis inside the paint, if we looked into it closely, they are taking advantage of the status of the Bucks especially that they are now undermanned. But there's still room left to improve in the Bucks side, we will see on the 3rd game.
I disagree though, the Celtics has been the favorite in the first 2 games so if there will be some scenario in the beginning, it will be Boston 2-0. Fortunately for the Bucks they won the first game and then Boston torching them up in game 2.

I have Miami -7.5, I without Joel it will be the same outcome with another double digit win by the Heat.

2848  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Bitcoin teaching approach on: May 03, 2022, 08:39:41 PM
I don't know what to expect from the students, any suggestions will be appreciated.
Then don't expect something in return, as least you have done your part and let those students understand what bitcoin is and let their imaginations run wild. You might hear questions that you might find interesting, and take note of the name of the students asking. Maybe in the future, those are the ones going to be crypto enthusiast and who knows, become CEO of crypto projects. Anyhow, good luck to you and hopefully it will really excite majority of them on the subject of bitcoin and crypto in general.
2849  Economy / Economics / Re: Fed rate hikes too small to have real long term impact for the markets on: May 03, 2022, 07:49:05 PM
Not sure about the stock, but it seems the market has been shaken and weed out of weak hands again as the price goes to $37k and there could be more selling off with regards to this news.

We all know that the market is really sensitive with this kind of news, although as you have said, it is small, but I guess it will still have impact on the market short term as we might see another all time lows in the coming weeks.
2850  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin may likely pull back to 35k on: May 03, 2022, 07:15:02 PM
In theory, a lower-than-expected drop could happen at $35k but the best resistance to retracement action doesn't extend as we close the April candle at $37k.  This is still a good price for round trip over $47k in May.  Market behavior is diversified by unhealthy sentiment.  We hardly see the start of a trend consolidation but rather a battle against the market reaction before the next bull run.
It will take more months or year to see another bull run, for now, bitcoin needs not break another level of dip to see upto how much it can bounce back and how fast ot can. The fact that BTC is able to recover anytime will only be possible of there are good news that will kick it’s price up, but with market current status and news around the world, with war and new implementation of making the fees higher in some countries makes crypto more into bear season. Once the market recover or if there os atleast a positive news that can uplift the price to not break a new level of dip.
Years, I doubt that this year we might see a good price. And it could be worst in 2023, maybe but that time, we might see the price is capitulation.

And that could be the signal that we might be seeing the end of the bearish market. But so far in 2022, like others said, we might see the price really going down hard, currently at $37k, but I'm not surprised if the price will have like $35k or less at the end of the month.
2851  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk, Mark Cuban Discuss Using Dogecoin to Solve Twitter Spam Problem ! on: May 03, 2022, 12:44:24 PM
To solve the spam, maybe he will require and mandate KYC. But I'm not sure how Dogecoin will involved on this one.

Most probably, both just wanted to hype Dogecoin again obviously. Elon Musk obviously bought Twitter recently, we all know that. But I'm not sure what Mark Cuban is up to, he used to be hard nose on crypto and If I'm not mistaken, is against it like years ago.
2852  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Miami Heat vs Philadelphia 76ers - 2nd round (Let's discuss) on: May 03, 2022, 12:21:04 PM
Even though the 76ers lost, you have to give it to them. At one point they took a good lead from the Heat and started to get hot. However, the defense has tighten up and Harden can't carry the load of the team. So still the Heat will be the favorite to win in this series and could probably go up 2-0 in the next game as they have the momentum with no Joel Embiid for the 76ers.
2853  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: May 03, 2022, 11:58:46 AM
^^ I don't know, not sure if we can compare though, the impact of the war though. Anyhow, I might agree that it's too hash to ban those players. I even read that Russians and Ukrainian women's players who used to be "friends" started to ignore each other in the Madrid Open. I guess everyone is really taking it hard, this war doesn't really bring out anything even in sports.
2854  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto moving into world. Algo sponsor FIFA on: May 03, 2022, 11:19:58 AM
It's a win-win, if they can developed a blockchain, a customized one for FIFA using Algo then this could set a trend.

On the other hand, this is the biggest sporting event, so people around the world who might not heard about Algo or crypto in general might be curious and who knows, maybe just a small percentage of fans will be enough to bring crypto to the public, hence mass adoption.
2855  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA _ Phoenix Suns vs Dallas Mavericks - 2nd round on: May 02, 2022, 10:08:51 PM
Might be better if we have a poll?

We always wanted to see a good underdog beating the top seed in this series. And Mavs is capable of that because of Luka. And now that they have improved this season and doesn't have players that under perform like KP, I think their chances are high and maybe they will force the Suns to adjust to their game. And so I'm hoping for the underdog to win - Dallas.
2856  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most trustable currency on: April 30, 2022, 11:24:35 AM
Guys, Can you really name the coins/tokens that you trust the most?
Just look at the top ten altcoins and you can deduce that they have the reputation, so I would say that you can trust them. Specially like ETH who have been the top altcoins and then some others like BNB, SOL, ADA and DOT. There could be others though not in the top 10, but investors would rather invest on projects that are really solid like the one that I mentioned above.

Let's hope that this is the beginning of Raducanu's return to the top of women's tennis   Grin
I was a little surprised by the news that she changed coaches again, only after a few months:
Source:   https://www.bbc.com/sport/tennis/61226768
I thought that it was discussed before, that's why I didn't post about Raducanu changing coach again for the N time.

It tells me in a way about her insecurity in a way.
Does anyone follow this sad story about a once great tennis champion who went bankrupt, broke the law and goes to jail?
A sad ending for the great tennis champion and role model for many young tennis players.

Source: https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-61276378
I'm familiar with Boris Becker as has a great career as well. If I'm not mistaken, he was even hired as coach of Djokovic (correct me if I'm wrong). He has great battles with Ivan Lendl and other great tennis player in that era. So it's sad to see this kind of story about how he turn out to be after his tennis.
2858  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: April 30, 2022, 10:08:56 AM
Grizzlies will be having the game of there life with GSW aggressiveness. I'm curious on far they can go against GSW.

We are going to find out soon, Grizzlies defeated the Warriors in the play-in, I think the Warriors here will be making their revenge. With a healthy Curry, Green, and Thompson, that's all that is needed to win the game. The good thing here is both teams could play small ball as they don't have long center.
Yeah, the numbers in the regular season is nothing in the playoffs as they are back to 0-0 and this is going to be a series. It's a healthy Warriors now, with a few upgrades from their last championship run, but the team remain the same with Curry, Green and Thompson and Iggy and Looney. And now they built a solid team with Wiggins, Poole, Payton, Lee, and Kuminga.
2859  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where does your country stand ? on: April 29, 2022, 09:53:30 PM
Should i assume the accuracy of the data research that mentioned Australia as the best gambling country because I can't be sure of the prelocedures or means they arrived at this, possibly the rate amd numbers of gambling casinos and the involvement of the gamblers but the statistics couldn't be as accurate as expected all thesame, but i think this might still be a good directive by taking into consideration country's population, numbers of registered casinos, and as well as the rate of active gamblers on each casinos, why i said this is because i also as well sees my country to be one of the most active gambling country of which its not onnthe aboove mentioned list by OP
Isn't it obvious that will be the case then? There is also one thread about the number of slot machines they have, but I'm not sure about the statistics are far as online gambling though (fiat and crypto), but I will assume the numbers are also higher. A lot of surprises in the list, nevertheless, with the advent of pandemic, maybe the reason is that gamblers went online and there could be a set of gamblers who, because they are bored, just started to play online.
2860  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is using 2fa safe in every way on: April 29, 2022, 09:23:00 PM
Using 2FA is a good layer of security and protection, but the thing is that the criminals can bypass this one as well. It seems that they are always one step of the game because they were able to get access to you account and unfortunately take all your hard earn coins. So I would say though, it's better than nothing, and you should protect your account with 2FA such as Yubikey.
