2841  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a gambling addict? on: November 20, 2022, 07:46:06 AM
Online gambling brought casinos closer than ever before, and the problem of addiction in the world of gambling is a serious social illness. There are a few signs to look for when starting to gamble online to avoid problems of addiction. So, do you know if you have a problem with gambling? Here's an interesting article about this subject.
The people that are addicted are most likely chasing money, forgetting what gambling should be, or not know what gambling is, that it is a game of luck. Also not knowing that gambling sites are in control, in a way that the games will pay the casinos more than gamblers with the types of odds the gambling sites set.

Once someone is not chasing money while gambling, like monthly income or weekly income, but using just little amount to play, he will notice he is not frequently gambling and no addiction.

One of the signs of addiction was that he was already using money meant for other things, such as bills, and he would bet it, hoping to win and double the money, but he lost it all. Mostly, the mind of someone addicted to gambling is not thinking about losing their money; it is always thinking of a way to have money to bet on, whether they borrow money or sell the appliances in their homes. I agree that they often chase money and want to win big in a single bet.
2842  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My thoughts and now my experience. on: November 20, 2022, 05:34:43 AM
One guiding principle, particularly when investing in new ventures.
Don't allow your successes fool you into thinking you are an expert at it. Always pretend to be a novice so that you may challenge whatever they say.
When we are in the dark about something, we love to ask questions back. It is better to be in that position once more to avoid wasting money.
Skeptical.
You were just made stronger by the experience; nonetheless, this does not imply that you have mastered cryptocurrencies.
That's a good lesson and a right thinking there. It's true that when someone got some success investment, they think that they're the best on it and considers themselves as experts.
Don't get fooled by that because you'll never know what mistake you may do and it's better to have that side of always eager to learn more new things in terms of investments, especially in the crypto market.

This is still a newbie move; like their first trade, they win and think that what they do is always working in their next trade. They will then start boasting about it but usually when they try it again, they will realize that it is not always working and start losing money. That is also a sign of a lack of knowledge when trading or investing, which still needs to learn more. Those we call experts do not call themselves experts mostly because they are still learning, even though they already know a lot.
2843  Economy / Economics / Re: Is long-term employee retention a losing battle? on: November 20, 2022, 03:33:28 AM
Data do not lie. If these companies do not want to keep losing this battle they have to start caring about their employees. They have to treat their employees great. In this day and age companies need to start to try to be human and actually care about what their employees care about or at least putting it on the same pedestal with the degree at which the company cares about making profit. We need new generational leaders who are high on emotional intelligence.

Employees leave their jobs because the company does not care about them; they have few benefits and a low salary and treat employees like robots. I am also planning to quit my job in the next 6 months due to a low salary and many tasks you need to do but no salary increase. This can make the employee burn out, and I am sure it could affect the company's transaction if they quit immediately without proper handover. I'm not sure when they will recognize their employees' efforts, but they should begin focusing on employee development now so they can later focus on expanding their business.
2844  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Losing $350,000 because of a friend, what would you do? on: November 20, 2022, 02:37:03 AM
I had a similar incident, although not exactly in this way. It was 4 years ago. A close friend and I had a joint gambling account. When we were gambling, we made joint decisions and acted that way. But one day it didn't happen that way. When I was going to bet equally on two different games, my friend changed his mind according to his own opinion and played with all the money in one game. He did something like this without my knowledge. At the end of this incident, when we were going to have a lot of money, we didn't have any money. As a result, he is still my friend Smiley After this incident, he returned my main money and we ended our partnership. Since then, I have not involved anyone in gambling.
That is why it is better for us not to share our gambling accounts with other people, even our friends, because we do not know when they will use that gambling account. Moreover, if they don't have good self-control, they can use all the money in the gambling account and not ask or tell us about it. This can lead to fights between us and friendships can be damaged because of this little thing. But you are still lucky not to lose that friend of yours and are still my friend.
Actually, it's not always bad to have a joint gambling account as I have one myself with one of my friends which is just mainly for sportsbetting as we want to maximize our profit by having a larger bankroll. One thing that we established before making the decision of sharing an account is that we will make a decision where we can both agree on but if in any case one of us is not available to make a decision then we have a certain amount limit to bet on to avoid losing a huge chunk of our bankroll. Also, we never blame each other if one of us bet and lost as we both share our winnings as well as when we lose.

Oh, it's a nice idea to have a joint gambling account with a friend, as long as your friend is trustworthy. I have yet to try to have a joint account with my friend, that is a good idea to win bigger, but I am just scared since it involves money, though I do really know them well. Still, it involves money, so I am curious how they react. Also, when betting, you and your friend should decide which team to bet on, but the problem is that if you are betting on a different team, how do you decide?
2845  Other / Archival / Re: Entrepreneurship or Office job? on: November 19, 2022, 04:01:26 PM
I think the easiest thing for me who has just graduated from school is an office job, and I have been working in the office for about 8 months even with a small salary, of course I plan to become Entrepreneurship if I already have good capital and skills so I can be successful and not tied anymore with routine and working hours.
I did office job for around 16 years and during COVID - I was jobless.
It was very tough time - and I started my small ventures - they are not big profits but they are not loss either. So I prefer small personal ventures with office jobs.

Wow, that was a lot of experience but still ended up losing it. I also work at an office job for 3 years only, but this really hurt me a lot since my family depends on me at that time, and it is a pandemic. I am glad I could still find another work at that time. I am amazed that you take the risk to have a small business though it is a pandemic; whether your profit is small, it is still a good start, and I am sure that in a few months or years, you will be big time. For now, I will stick to a job since we need money every month, and taking a risk, like putting up a business, is risky since if it fails, we don't have anything to eat.
2846  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Biggest reason why you dont make profit first on: November 19, 2022, 02:56:35 PM
~snip~

So instead of small profits wait and attack Big you make enough and you dont have to Shamed about your life you can say to friends you make money in trading.

What I learn from this is that the long term is better rather than the short term without any patience, since greed can lead us to no profit at all. There are a lot of people that can't wait until the big fish come so they aim for small fish instead. We should learn from our first experience to increase our profit from there and how the market move.

It is your strategy to do long-term, which is also proven and tested by traders, but there are still traders doing day trading to earn a profit on daily bases; they just set a target profit on that day, and then they are good. This kind of strategy is not working for all since it requires knowledge, technical analysis, and deep knowledge of bitcoin's price action. Most newcomers do not profit at first because they believe trading is simple and that they can easily hit their target profit, but the truth is that they still need to read a lot of books and watch video tutorials to learn what trading is.
2847  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you consider appearance in business and employment? on: November 19, 2022, 02:08:39 PM
It is all about being presentable.  In job seeking you need to be presentable and neat.  The first impression does have an effect on employment.  Besides, employees have to interact with other people so they need to be really presentable and look neat.  Between two skilled applicants, the one with a pleasing personality and presentable will always be the choice.  I think only naive people will think that it is ok to have skill only and lack personal presentation.

Well, appearance is really a plus in job seeking, first impressions could lead you to be hired, but this only works on those jobs like sales, office jobs, bank jobs, and any other job where you are usually interacting with customers; however, that is not the case for programmers. You said that people are naive to think it is ok to have only skills, but as a programmer, usually the CEO or the senior programmer will be interviewing you, so your fancy suits are useless when you don't have skills. They don't look at appearance because the nerdy guy is more likely to be hired because they have more skills.
2848  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you have anyone you trust? on: November 19, 2022, 12:57:32 PM
Money was the root cause of all these crimes. For me, nobody knows about my financial status except my wife. I think she is trustworthy. Do you have anyone you trust?

My family is trustworthy, though I heard a lot of news regarding siblings killing each other because of money; their story is different from ours. They know my status since I started bitcoin and what my finances are since I trust them. I also have the closest friends I am sure are also trustworthy, and I am hoping that there are no black sheep among my closest friends that will betray me. Regarding my other relatives, I mostly don't open up about any topics about our financial status or involving money, as I really don't trust them about it.
2849  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I hardly have up to $100 again in all my fait bank accounts since I joined BTT on: November 19, 2022, 10:38:53 AM
over 99.99% of my money is now in Bitcoin.

I smirk on this; I don't know why, but is he living using only bitcoin? like if he rented a car, the payment would be in bitcoin? If he buys at a store, does he use bitcoin? How about the other 0.01% of his money and where it goes? I don't believe the OP if this is really his routine unless he will say his investment is 100% in bitcoin, not all his money.
2850  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to prevent cheating in a game on: November 19, 2022, 07:25:16 AM
I could remember back then as kids we get carried away in any game that we play due to the excitement we derive from the game, therefore we look for a way to cheat in other to win the game.

What you said there is typical playing games with friends and maybe with family members. I did it also as a teenager and it was purely for fun, especially with WHOT, dice, Ludo and other flip games. It is fun doing that but most times it did not involve money. With modern type of gambling and casinos, it will not be easy to cheat fellow players. Instead it is the casinos that can cheat players.

If both of your friends are having fun in friendly games, cheating is fine as long as no one gets mad at you. Though you should still practice fair play since cheating is always cheating and a bad habit. In a friendly game, it will really get to the point that it gets boring, so cheating would spice up the game, but in the end, both you and your friends will play fewer rounds. Casinos that cheat on players typically have low ratings, unlike those well-established ones, which is probably fair.
2851  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Teachers deserve more on: November 19, 2022, 05:31:35 AM
Many people has been spamming with this particular trend so I believe that this dream is supposed to be locked because of they have already discuss everything they are supposed to discuss about this particular trend so when you take found in the bed you know that imagery people have been emphasizing on teachers so the advantages goes to the teachers I don't think that we need for the deliberation anymore
In my country teachers are the very low paid profession
they are always struggling to make their both ends meet

In our country too. Imagine that a preschool teacher only received $90 per month. And still, they are using their salary to make wonderful and colorful decorations for the room so the children will enjoy seeing them? Also, the base salary or starting salary for a teacher in a public school is $340, which is still too low, and again, they will work overtime to finish their lesson plans and get the things they need for classes. Though $340 is already enough salary in our country, the effort and expenses that they incur are not worth it with that salary.
2852  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is lying now part of human nature? on: November 19, 2022, 04:33:52 AM
Can we as humans ever stop telling lies?

The answer is no, as long as the human can still speak. Lies have been a part of our daily lives, which is not good; we usually lie when we are scared, hurt, or have a selfish desire to bring down others. The only problem with telling lies is that the people who tell them don't get intimidated or have second thoughts about saying them afterward. As for myself, I tell lies, but later on, I will tell the truth since I can take it. The current generation is much worse; they lie for their own good and will even lie to their parents.
2853  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does everyone want bitcoin to be stable in price? on: November 19, 2022, 03:21:38 AM
I was reading some of the replies in of @mr_jk's thread when he asked what will happen if bitcoin's price became stable?

The replies were unexpected hehehe. Much of them argued why or how can bitcoin be stable? This makes me ask the question do much of the holders of bitcoin want the price to be stable or do they really want it be volatile? I ask this because stability makes bitcoin become a good store of value and medium of exchange. Volatility makes it good for trading and speculation.
We just need to understand the big investment opportunity in Bitcoin so I do not think any of us want Bitcoin to be stable like stablecoins like usdt, BUSD etc. This will make Bitcoin to look like a normal currency which will not make it has a better value  just like when you buy low and sell at higher price as the market keep going bull. This is one of the reasons why we keep investing in Bitcoin to make better profits. If this reason is affected then many of us will not bother investing in Bitcoin or the crypto market.

That is why bitcoin is unique; it can make you a millionaire in a day or two, and it is riskier than other stablecoins, which is why many investors are attracted to it, even if you can also lose all your money in one night. Let's say that bitcoin would be stable, with no if's and but's, people who are investing in it now would be cut in half because they are not getting huge profits from it. You are correct that it would be the same with other stablecoins, so I don't want bitcoin to have a stable price.
2854  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you still win with free spins? on: November 19, 2022, 02:12:54 AM
OP, winning from the free spins you get from the casino I think is quite difficult. it's not impossible, it might happen. but it all depends on how many free spins you get. as well as how lucky you are that day to get a good multiplier.
some casinos provide free spins for new users, and some are given weekly or monthly. but I'm sure the number of free spins given will not be enough to make you win. what happens is we still want to play and will deposit money to continue the game.

i can say, don't expect that you will get lucky from these free spins. it is like winning in the lottery game. just like the wheel of fortune in freebitco, they may be giving 1 daily free spin to some registered users, but don't expect that you will get lucky and get the jackpot or big prizes. just take it as additional bonus that you are enjoying while playing on their site. don't make it a big deal as if your next meal depends on it.  Tongue

The chances of winning are very low. They are giving free spins daily because it can attract new gamblers to try their website and also because existing users would visit the website every day, increasing the chance that they would deposit to play more. Well, this is really what casinos are doing right now, but the percentage of winning it from the spins that were given is too low, but still, it has a chance. Still, try their daily spin since you will not lose money.
2855  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have Lucky Casino? on: November 18, 2022, 05:37:11 PM
I知 playing same set of games on different casino not just to get the bonuses of each casino but also to have a different mood of my mind set. It really helps me to calm down and focus whenever I知 losing big time on one casino. It also helps me to not chase my previous losses because I think about it as fresh start.

With this regular routine, I notice that I have a specific casino that I知 always winning despite I知 playing same game that I lose huge amount on the other casino. I do randomly change the sequence of my game on casino and keeps giving me same good result on my personal lucky casino. I highly believe that this luck of mine related on how I feel when playing on that casino. I知 expecting that I will be lucky so my mind is always optimistic whenever I知 playing on it.

Do you have this kind of casino?

It is some sort of lucky charm, making casinos a lucky charm. I played casinos that are famous to gamblers, but all of them are the same: I don't feel that I got lucky at the specific casino; I kept losing, though I enjoy playing. Now I am playing at a casino that has good features and fun games. I am hoping that soon I will find a casino that is lucky to me, like I would say that I keep winning whenever I bet, but for now there is none. Sometimes I get lucky enough to win most of my bets, but mostly I keep losing my money.
2856  Economy / Economics / Re: 5 things you should not do with your money to get rich on: November 18, 2022, 04:13:43 PM
Nowadays, most newbies only do their research after being scammed; they have learned from their hard mistakes.
We've all gone through those stages ourselves and it's not too bad, right? Sometimes free tips won't get much attention but once we have to spend money to get those lessons back, it becomes more valuable. For me, I also don't want to give too much advice to newbies, the best way is to let them experience it for themselves and they will quickly learn their lessons after losing money. It's not that we are heartless, but to succeed, they need to know how to taste failure and then stand up for themselves.

It is very hard, but it's true. I've been scammed in a Ponzi scheme investment before, which woke me up and taught me a lesson. I just remembered that the only way to earn bitcoin before was to buy and profit from it through investments, much like in a Ponzi scheme, but it turns out I was duped! I really felt bad that day. I wanted to punch the people behind it, but it turns out that it is such a good lesson not to do it again, and I was also able to find other ways to earn bitcoin, which is still my way to earn right now.
2857  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is suicide the best option? on: November 18, 2022, 03:01:00 PM
Putting love once, friends, kids and parents at risks isn't it?  One can do better than that talk to someone you really love than to kill yourself in such sweet and beautiful world with so much opportunities to experience. Sucidal moves has never been a good decisions although I have never encountered one like from a family friend or sibling.
You are correct. Suicide caused pain for one family. People must exercise patience no matter the situation because if you have a sound plan to reach your goals, even if you don't obtain them today, you will have them tomorrow. Second, in order to prevent depression, we should be able to express our pain to a reliable friend. Is depression a factor in suicide attempts? Yes, we must be happy

I have a friend who is very happy, or I'm not sure if he is just showing it, but whenever we hang out, we haven't noticed any suicidal thoughts in him, but we just heard that he attempted suicide because he couldn't bear the pain he was in. We helped him seek a doctor and see if what was really the problem. He is now taking medication so that it can lessen his worries. Seeking professional help can solve suicidal problems, and you are right. Having someone to talk to so that you can express your feelings is very helpful.
2858  Other / Off-topic / Re: Elon Musk want to buy bitcointalk on: November 18, 2022, 01:54:59 PM
So we not surprise when elon reach into his deep pocket to buy twitter in billion dollar. Because he have unlimited money.

I was imagine when he find this forum that look unique because Satoshi was create this forum like he create bitcoin,
and after he look unique and look philanthropy then he want to buy this forum,

are you guy agree if Elon buy bitcointalk forum?,
that look superior if bitcointalk owned by a richest person like elon.

Elon would not purchase items if he could not profit from it or if he have a brilliant idea for it. The probability of Elon buying this forum is too low; instead of buying this forum, he will just spend it to buy more bitcoins. I don't really see any reason that can trigger Elon to buy this, unless this is some kind of social media, like recently when he bought Twitter, which he spends ton of cash. We still don't know how he can profit from it, but I am sure that he is using Twitter to earn money or use it in his future projects.
2859  Economy / Economics / Re: MONEY IS THE MOTIVATING FACTOR, what do you think? on: November 18, 2022, 12:48:25 PM
Money is certainly motivation to make us want to do anything, it is impossible for people to work or work if there is no motivation for money, and in my opinion it is natural because the presence of money makes the world better and there is a relationship that needs each other.

We are motivated to go to work because we know that at the end of the day, we can earn money that we can use for our daily needs unless we are in love and just want to work so we can see our dream girl. You are right; it is now natural because we are not robots that don't eat or have no need to buy basic needs. Everyone is doing this because of money; they work or do business because of money. But when we are already rich and old, that is the time to stop chasing money; we spend it until the last breath.
2860  Economy / Economics / Re: 5 things you should not do with your money to get rich on: November 18, 2022, 11:51:57 AM
5. Don't invest suddenly

     - In my experience, I have also participated in this type of investment without thinking immediately or doing research because I was just
carried away by the hype. It's just like the "Get rich quick" where your 1k$ will turn into 10k$ after 3 days, things like that. Just like before
the rise of cryptocurrency projects, there were a lot of them but in the end, they turned out to be scams, but I don't blame them all
because there are legit crypto projects and there are others that are just scams or shitcoins, this is just an example.

But I'm not saying that you shouldn't invest in crypto, I think we shouldn't make a hasty decision so that our capital doesn't go to waste.

I recommend learning before investing. In cryptocurrency, most new investors invest without proper knowledge; they base their decisions on the hype and the vloggers who introduce it. Agree with this, jumping to the conclusion that you can earn once you invest, even without knowledge. Also, be wary of scams; always conduct a background check and search for everything about the projects you want to invest in. Perform your research before getting your funds.
Sometimes beginners always skip this important step (analysis). they sometimes always believe more in influencers who suggest investing in a project, and get carried away by the hype. maybe if it is a short term investment it can be tolerated and can even be profitable as long as we know when to enter and when to leave. like entering investing at the beginning of the hype and after seeing the hype at its peak then rushing out of the investment because after the hype is at its peak then that is a sign that the hype will end. but following the hype for long-term investing is a fatal mistake that beginners usually make.

That is why those new coins going out in the market are hiring influencers to do a video and promote it on their channel or page. Most newbies will follow the influencers' financial advice. This really happens a lot; there are a lot of influencers who do this but end up losing all their money. Only influencers can benefit from it, and after the coin hype is gone, the influencer will not give any statement. Nowadays, most newbies only do their research after being scammed; they have learned from their hard mistakes.
