2841  Economy / Economics / Re: Is trading just educated guessing? on: February 27, 2017, 06:33:45 AM
Trading is a very risky venture and many amateurs  traders has got their entire risk capital wipe out because of lacks of knowledge on how assets price works. If you have developed your skills and knowledge on how a particular asset work? You can predict that asset to a significant extend. More so you should know and have your money management principle in place in other not to have Your entire capital wiped out.
2842  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: MACD trendlines on: February 26, 2017, 07:36:56 PM
thanks for your help, appreicated
Moving average convergence divergence(macd) serve in market analysis as a trend- follow momentum indicators. Note it do not determine the trend but followed trend to determine it momentum or volume. If you are using macd you must combined it with others technical analysis indicators to make an inform decisions.
2843  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump Is Damaging Press Freedom in the U.S. and Abroad on: February 26, 2017, 07:23:00 PM
Trump did not attack the media as is spreading around on media. I watched the program live on cnn. He said " I am not against the media  but against the fake news media house". I was telling my friend that CNN is fake news because immediately trump said am against the fake news, CNN post on their breaking news that "Trump attack the media again".
2844  Economy / Economics / Re: What It Means For Banks When Bitcoin Is Worth More Than Gold? on: February 26, 2017, 05:14:29 AM
The is a conspiracies from bank especially people bank of china to keep bitcoin below $1200 infact the first idea is to keep it below $1000. Like Rothschild said "give me the control and printing of  the country money and I would not care who rule it" that is what you see happening. Bitcoin is bigger than any man or group of greedy elites who keep their investment in gold and don't what bitcoin to grew.
2845  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just got my first bitcoin, What is the next step? (noob question) on: February 25, 2017, 07:45:56 PM
So a guy gave me some bitcoin thru a website called paxful.com i have the bitcoin money on there know i have no idea what to do. i have read stuff about bitcoin wallets, should i get a wallet or is the website paxful.com a wallet?
you should open a free wallet with blockchain.info and transfer you earnings there as to me is much safer. If you are interested in trading you can transfer you bitcoin to your exchanger and begin from there. You can also increase your earning by investing in could mining site or lending it at bitcointalk from service section. Goodluck.
2846  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not dead yet but should be. on: February 25, 2017, 04:12:10 PM
Many people are earning they living through bitcoin, millions all over the world are investing in bitcoin. So don't think  bitcoin can be killed for now. I read the article, the writer only succeed in making one point and that is bitcoin is highly volatile and that is why it should be killed. What many bitcoin haters fail to understand is that: Bitcoin can not be killed by a country, group of companies or individual because it is decentralized.
2847  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Invest 10k - 20k on: February 25, 2017, 02:16:33 PM
Currently, bitcoin is over prices I.e at the over bought zone. What you need to do now is be patient when the price pull back to $1000 or below then you can buy. You can also wait for what will happen after 11-3-2017 if the ETF get approved then if it not approved the price will pull back. Goodluck.
2848  Economy / Economics / Re: If bitcoin price is $10.000, will fiat be worthless? on: February 25, 2017, 01:57:11 PM
In one of the topics I read "If bitcoin will reach $10.000, fiat currency has become worthless"
Do you agree with this statement?
In the world of assets nothing is worthless though an assets can be devalued. It will take along time for bitcoin to get to $10,000 something extraordinary has to happen. I don't think bitcoin and crypto currencies in general will succeed in warping out fiat completely. In my opinion fiat may be reduced to locality as most villages has no internet connectivity.
2849  Economy / Economics / Re: What will happen 9th march ? on: February 25, 2017, 01:01:19 PM
On 9th march, there might be no certain happening that will happen to bitcoin and it might be back to normal again but two days after that, In my opinion we will see a dump again if many Chinese traders panic sell because of something that will happen after 9th march or we will see bitcoin's price manipulated again. It really depends on the  BTC ETF's application approval or disapproval if it is approved we might see yet another upward movement in price but not that big but if it is denied we might see another dump.
BTC ETF's approvals is going have a greater impact on bitcoin and crypto currencies market general either is approved or not approved. Speculators has created great anticipation on the ETF since end of last year. To me if ETF is positive bitcoin price will start to pump up from the 9th when Chinese big exchangers activate they withdrawal and vice vasal.
2850  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2017-02-23 CNBC extreamly positive on bitcoin (alltime high) on: February 25, 2017, 12:49:13 PM
Great segment there.  This is nice to see that mainstream analysts are "getting it".
The reason why the mainstream analysts are getting it" is because they have studied the fundamental nature of bitcoin and one thing that I thought their have discovered is that bitcoin cannot be shut down by a country, company and individual. To me bitcoin is more value than gold because of that sigler nature.
2851  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'm leaving Bitcoin on: February 25, 2017, 12:39:42 PM
No, this isn't related to the Bitcoinica hack. The hack just makes the choices obvious and straightforward.

I, Zhou Tong (Zhou is my surname), will discontinue all involvement in Bitcoin-related projects after the Bitcoinica incident has been fully resolved until further notice.

I always believe in Bitcoin, or simply anything that brings people financial liberty. I have heavily invested in Bitcoin (I purchased one 1,000 BTC gold coin from Casascius and will keep it for as long as I can). And I have enjoyed what I have done for the Bitcoin community.

Really, thank you for all the wonderful support. It feels great to have an experimental project become the "best thing since sliced bread", and run one of the most profitable businesses in a new economy. Bitcoinica has a total historical revenue equivalent to about 0.67% of the whole Bitcoin economy. Not even Apple can match this record in the real world economies.

The first time I read about Bitcoin was in late 2010. My first reaction was "these coins are cheap, maybe it just doesn't work". I learned about Bitcoin again in mid 2011, when the first bubble started. I bought my first Bitcoin when it fell to $8. I told all my close friends and classmates about Bitcoin, simply because I think it's a cool idea. The idea of a margin trading platform quickly went into my mind, and I started working on Bitcoinica.

I lied about the time it took to build Bitcoinica. (I said I spent one week on it.) I started on September 4, 2011 and launched on September 9, 2011. Just four and half days. In a week, trading volume passed one million dollars. I started making profits like crazy.

In November, an investor approached me to acquire Bitcoinica. Due to regulatory concerns, I agreed to the deal and signed the agreement. Bitcoinica was sold for a good price. However, since the investor is unable to arrange for a replacement team, I continued to become the sole operator until Team Intersango took over two weeks ago. The investor let me keep all profits until late January, the official handover time. After handover, he continued to offer generous salary and performance bonus every month. The investor demands his identity to be protected so I won't share more information on this.

I left school in Singapore and decided to continue my education in Australia. I made the decision because of the Internet industry, and the hacker culture. I'm a web developer and I want to become a really good one. I want to work with smart hackers and wonderful designers to change the world. Singapore isn't particularly good at this. (Obviously, US West Coast should be a better choice, but for some other reasons I didn't consider US.)

I have started working on another project (not Bitcoin-related) that is going to make a little difference on the Internet. So far I have achieved great progress and I'm pretty confident about this new venture.

My life hasn't changed much except that I became more confident after Bitcoinica's success. I realized that I have the power to make something profitable. Such kind of confidence is extremely hard to get, until you really experience a significant success. I worked on several projects before, and all of them failed eventually. I thought I was confident because I kept building new stuff and improving myself. But the real confidence comes from the success itself.

I failed at one thing though, that is generating value for the society. Bitcoinica did create a place for people to trade more efficiently and provide liquidity to the market. However, speculation is a zero-sum game (or negative-sum, strictly saying). I know there can be many justifications for Bitcoinica's value, but all of them are against my intuition and values.

With the confidence and the innate intuition to build wonderful things for a better world, I decided to move on. I didn't quit Bitcoinica because it's the only source of income that I currently have.

I know that my time is valuable and industry establishment is really important. I don't want my name to be remembered by only Bitcoiners. It's true that I believe in Bitcoin's potential, but not everyone believes. If I'm a influential person I wouldn't have to do this, but the best way to be known in the Internet industry is to build products that save people time, money and headaches.

I'm going to be a young entrepreneur that solves problems for everyone. I leave Bitcoin only because it doesn't help address my real needs. Making money isn't that important after all.

I'll be a Bitcoin lover forever, and I will come back to this forum regularly to discuss about the future that's in our own hands! I will keep the 1,000 BTC  gold coin as a lifetime investment and I'm pretty confident that it'll be the best investment ever in my life.

Bitcoin FTW!
I did not know you but from this your post am impress. Living your 1000bt as investment is a good gesture. We the Newbies that has less than 1btc how do we start to increase our earning with low risk and returned? You have work hard to get bitconica to were it is today we hope to contribute our efforts so.
2852  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should I buy my Btc now or wait it dumps a bit ? on: February 25, 2017, 11:52:02 AM
It totally depends on how much time you can wait. As people told you short term isn't good even I agree to that. If you can wait for 2 years then I can assure you that you will get X2 for your bitcoins.
And also don't worry that you are late the price is just the start of a new era.
The best way to trade is following the trend. To some extend the op has answer himself. If you want to buy and hold for a short time? Now is not the best time as bitcoin is currently over priced. For long time investment I think you can invest now as  after a pull back to 1100 dollar a New up trend will resume. But if you are a margin trader you can invest anytime.
2853  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-02-23] Bitcoin Price Surpasses 2013 All Time High on: February 24, 2017, 07:32:37 PM
Let us hope history doesn't repeat itself and we don't see a crash after this.

Many people would be disappointed

Congratulations Bitcoin holders!

It's been a long time that the people in Bitcointalk wasn't complaining about the price being low because of this or that lol.

Especially those people who in December bought for  $1000 and then lost the hopes that bitcoin would be  $1000

According to recent charts, the price per bitcoin has surpassed it’s 2013 all time high (ATH) on February 23, 2017, reaching $1168 per BTC.

Bitcoin’s price value has been on a tear throughout most of 2017 and just recently crossed its highest price point ever. Throughout the past few weeks, the cryptocurrency’s price movements have been slowly escalating upwards with a few hiccups along the way. News from China’s central bank imposing new regulations on Chinese exchanges slightly stirred markets but the price persevered throughout these events.

Read More Here: https://news.bitcoin.com/bitcoin-price-surpasses-2013-time-high/

Even with so many maneuvers that China's central bank has been making bitcoin is growing

I don't think history will repeat itself this time around as there are many reasons why bitcoin price raised from $550 to $ 1,200 within three months. Though the price will still test $1000 again if you are an experience traders you will understand what am talking about, after then we would still speculate price to take another upward movement towards $2000 if ETF is approved by 11-3-2017.
2854  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We Have A Bitcoin City! Soon We Will Have Bitcoin Country! on: February 24, 2017, 04:24:13 PM
it was cool when I see a lot of restaurants that accept bitcoin payments and facilitate faster payments without having to spend cash, I hope in my country will also receive payments bitcoin
This is a very good development, if a whole city is accepting bitcoin as a mode of payments is an improvement from were we are before. My prayer is that one  day will come when bitcoin will be accepted in all sectors of our economic. Bitcoin make life easy, the early you buy into the idea of crypto currencies the better for you.

2857  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Trading VS Bitcoin! on: February 24, 2017, 07:42:53 AM
Hi Folks!

Who do you think is profitable Trading bitcoins for other payment method or mining them?

Everybody feel free to reply you're free  Smiley
Mining is better than trading to me though not as profitable and riskier than trading. If you have large capital I will advise you go for mining because most mining tools software are one time investment but in trading, you can get goods return on investment at the same time loses all your capital.
2858  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What can I do with 0.6BTC? on: February 24, 2017, 07:28:38 AM
If you have understanding, knowledge and skills on how margin trading works I think is the best option for you. You can easily do margin trade with simplefx and poloniex. If margin trading is hard for you? You can go into bitcoin/altcoin trading that is buy New altcoins in large quantities and hold then sell and coverts them to bitcoin when those altcoins increased in values.
2859  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1 Bitcoin (2000-3000$) Worths 1 Carat Diamond - Why To Not Sell Bitcoins? on: February 24, 2017, 07:03:30 AM
1 Bitcoin worth is 2000-3000$ like 1 carat diamond.

I created this thread to ask why it's better to not sell your Bitcoins?
Today, bitcoin is trading at $1200 and I expect the price to get to 2000 dollar if the ETF get approved by security and exchange commission. Op thank you for open this treat as we would be following it to see what became bitcoin in nearby future. The best advice to give investors now is buy and hold bitcoin.
2860  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the economy situation in your country that bad? on: February 24, 2017, 06:55:45 AM
It seems there are bad news all around with doom and gloom. Trade figures going down, jobs cuts, security situation not going well, and bad loans.

Is the economy situation in your country that dismal? Or this is just some fear mongering?

Most of the things said in holy scriptures are fulfilling today. All over the world there is fear of unknown, poverty, corruption, hatred e.t.c. From the beginning it was not so. Insecurity we are seeing this days in all sections of economic today is alarming, insecurity in water we drink, insecurity to climates, insecurity of foods, insecurity to life property. This is a sign that the end is here.
