2841  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can bitcoin reach 1000$ mark his week? on: November 22, 2013, 02:27:34 PM
Not sure, maybe the next big rise will come from Litecoin since Max Keiser starting mentioning it on his show.
2842  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin keeps failing on: November 22, 2013, 02:03:22 PM
Let us not forget that the Bitcoin developer abandoned his project years ago and vanished.

Fortunately there are other currencies with active developers rising to the challenge. Don't worry, if Bitcoin becomes a sheer object of speculation others will find a way. Bookmark this page: http://coinmarketcap.com/

You say this as if Bitcoin was no longer being developed.  There is now a whole team working on bitcoin, just because Satoshi is not working on it (or is he? no one knows) means nothing.  What is your point?  Oh probably that everyone should buy Goldcoins.

Sure. That would be fine but my point is most people don't understand that Bitcoin is not the only digital currency.

But this is changing and very very rapidly. Bitcoin is like the web crawler of the early 90's, we still don't know who will be Google. Yesterday for the first time, Max Keiser talked about Litecoin on his show. It's happening right in front of our eyes.

Digital currencies are taking over the World and it's not going to be a bitcoin-only ride.
2843  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we still early adopters? Or did that pass after 2010/2011? on: November 22, 2013, 01:59:23 PM
People say we missed the train... but yet most people don't understand what bitcoins are let alone even know about it, and its still in it's early stage. Some say it has potential to increase in value 1000x more... but some say that will never happen. So do you guys think people who invest now are still the "early adopters"? Why can't I ever be a part of explosive gains?? Sad

What most people actually don't understand is that Bitcoin is not the only digital currency. But this is changing and very very rapidly. Bitcoin is like the web crawler of the early 90's, we still don't know who will be Google.

Yesterday for the first time, Max Keiser talked about Litecoin on his show. As Bob Dylan one said, "the times they are a changing". This is good website for tracking the changing times: http://coinmarketcap.com/
2844  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The question going through everyone's mind. on: November 22, 2013, 01:53:28 PM
At least the one going through mine..

How do you legislate around bitcoin, in order to take down the bad guys (like murderers, terrorists, not to mention drug deals, sex traffic, etc.) without bearing down too heavily on innovative businesses or shutting out potential markets?

THAT my friends, is the question...or its at least one of them.

Well, bitcoin has already been demonstrated to be less anonymous than cash in many cases. I would suggest more legislation is not needed.

However, for a more user friendly rendition of the CoinChoose data, look at http://www.wheretomine.com.

This is great. I just added the site to our service discussion forum: https://www.gldtalk.org/index.php?topic=1196.0

Thanks guys! It's shocking news for me. Shocked

Fortunately, there are coins that are regularly 1000% more profitable to mine. Then you can just convert them into BTC.

2854  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hello to the decentralization bitcoin world on: November 22, 2013, 01:50:53 AM
Hello, everyone in bitcoin world.

I have just registered a forum account, and here is a simple self introduction.

I'm a little bit geeky to decentralization things. I'm currently a miner on p2pool with a avalon batch 4 asic miner. I think p2pool is the most wonderful pool because it provides the same level of decentralization as bitcoin network. I'll keep mining and tuning my p2pool. And that's interesting :-)

My major in university is related to chip design, including ASIC. One of my friend and I are currently designing a prototype of ASIC miner. We think that there is a lot of space for optimization, and the power efficiency and hashrate could be increased even more. We are still working on it. We will see if we can make it more efficient.

Greetings from a user in China. :-)

Welcome to the forum! It's great to see you here!  Cheesy  Grin  Cheesy

Is 20-25 mhash/s good or is it bad.

Not horrible if you're CPU scrypt mining. Oh...and welcome to the forum!  Smiley

What spells using the posting? I can only write here .. Why?

There's a magical readme file somewhere about. I think you need a few posts and a few hours before leaving this newbie heaven.
2857  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What'll be Your next move in the mining space? on: November 21, 2013, 09:36:51 PM
[This is NOT a tracking pixel] Lol

I'm going to get a motherboard with multi slots and a card or 2 to mine the next big alt coin. Kicking myself for missing the bitcoin boat, but a new coin will inevitably be its successor.

Yes. It's great to see the outside-the-box thinkers have arrived. Hehe. I look at Bitcoin as the web crawler of the 21st century. The competitive nature of man ensures that other coins will rise to challenge the "all mighty". The "Googles" are laying their foundations now. It's just a matter of separating the skyscrapers from the houses of cards: http://coinmarketcap.com/

There is no free lunch. But you can earn BTC if you have a skill and can find people in demand of that skill.
