2861  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-12-20] Singapore calls cryptocurrencies illegal tender on: December 20, 2017, 03:50:37 PM
it says it is "not legal tender" which i suppose is slightly different from being "illegal tender"Huh

obviously, for some newsmakers not legal tender and illegal tender is the same thing
illegal tender is not even a term, while not legal tender means that a country doesn't recognise the asset to be accepted
as payment, which is pretty common with any cryptocurrency and most of the countries
don't see why this has to be on the news, though
2862  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-12-19] Youbit Exchange Files For Bankruptcy on: December 20, 2017, 03:16:02 PM
Is there an exchange with that name? I know of https://www.yobit.io or https://www.yobit.net (both are the same site and are not having any bankruptcy issue). YoUbit isn't the same as Yobit as many would quickly assume it is the popular Yobit exchange. I know this piece of news will greatly misinform the public. Especially, those who knew about the issue around the now defunct novaexchange.

it won't misinform people who can read
there is a  difference between Yobit and Youbit
also I believe many would love to see Yobit in place of Youbit, since there is little love for that exchange in the community
the lesson-never ever keep your money anywhere but your wallet, even if for a short period of time, even at "trusted" exchanges
2863  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🌟Bitvest🌟 - Investor Plinko, Dice, Slot, Roulette, Bitspin | ETH/LTC Launched! on: December 19, 2017, 06:46:39 PM
why you not  close the thread about your signature compaign
since it has been weeks you do not answer the users who just joined and  added the ads to the signature
why no one answer or updating

are you taking advantage from new users who applied and added the signature while none of them is even answered or updated ?
you getting lot of traffic from that scam
both you and the guy who manage that compaign i call you scammers
if not go there and update the users or close the thread

plus the escrow wallet is empty

[or free traffic is nice right ?

i wouldnt trust a website like this who runs such a obvious scam

here is the signature thread

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1545749.0

many guys who just applied  added the signature
but weeks they didnt get updated

what a scam

I was on their signature campaign long time ago and such issue as you mentioned is an usual issue where there is a late payment or late update on the spreadsheet. They are trusted, so no need to worry. Lightlord as the owner and Lutpin as the campaign manager is more than enough to guarantee any participants for the payment. Check the escrow address again, it is not empty. 0.5btc there so it is enough for the payment IMO.
What makes me confuse is that why do you even care about this while you are not joining the campaign? On other hands, most participants do not even worry like you. Is your alt account applying but not accepted?
hi im not worrying as im not joining alos english not my language so i doubt any of my posts they gonna accept it as a elegible post
to answer your question
ido making some research and i even thinking to advertise on bitcointalk fora forex company  that accept bitcoin but i gave up since the weekly bidding is too much to handle for me
so i was searching about signature ads
when i saw over 50 guys they add the signature and begging to be added to the list and the ads owner not even bother to answer thme  then for me it is a scam as they benefit from that
i do not care how was their history  im not convinced they are the good guys  untill they go to that  thread and write we do not accept newcomers or post an update it takes 5 minutes from them .

why are you warrioring for them then?
the 50! Grin  guys should be aware that they only wear signature and get paid if they are accepted
Lightlord and Lutpin are trusted members, the campaign has been running for ages
if you want to make a fool of yourself-go open a scam accusation  or stop making posts based on  wrong assumptions

new design is way worse, also your site logs me out every half an hour or so
then you got to enter login/pass again which is a nuissance
also the interface buttons that disappear unless hovered over and are pain in the neck
to hunt on a mobile,I can continue, but believe me,this interface is way worse than the previous one usabilitywise
2865  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎰 Truegame - First Smart Contract Platform For Lotto & Games of Chance 🎰 on: December 19, 2017, 01:31:30 PM
still waiting for the invitation code
still no sign of it in my email and no information in this topic
do you want people to register or not? if you don't why would you create the topic and open site first place?
you think that there will be like a flood of people queing to register at your site,so there is this need for invites?
2866  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is your best game for playing on casinos??? on: December 19, 2017, 01:04:38 PM
For me it’s poker, as I play almost every day, but I hardly ever play other types of casino games because there is no way you can get long-term profit from them.
In sports betting you can surely make profits long term if you are a skilled bettor. I personally prefer playing poker because I do not play against a program, but against other real people and this is really fun for me.

poker, sports betting require knowledge and understanding of the game or/and sport you are betting on
in sports you can make profit, but you would have to be a really good bettor, since around 90% of pundits lose in the long run
with online dice it is much easier and the result is instant
if you are not totally dumb, you should be able to keep your loss at around 1-2% total of the bank in the long run
some even manage to profit, definitely not me,at least for now
2867  Economy / Gambling / Re: Nitrogen $20 withdrawal fee on: December 19, 2017, 12:44:30 PM

Imagine a company with superior customer service (ex. Costco).  Costco allows customers to return anything, in any condition for any reason.  They are the best in their industry.   Now, imagine if after all these years, they just did away with their return policy.  That would create triggers and certainly upset a lot of people.  In fact, many people may look for alternate shopping solely based on their decision to do away with their ongoing tough to beat return policy.  It would be a horrible business move and very comparable to what Nitrogen is doing.  For all the new money coming into the BTC gambling, they couldn't have picked a worse time to change their policy.

The case in this is different, your Costco are not wasting so much money by accepting items that their customers return because of whatever reason while nitrogensports will lose so much money everyday if they continue to give free withdrawals, thousands of dollars daily. Don't forget about small players too who withdraw everytime they get .001btc on freeroll Cheesy

Did you even read what you just typed?
Of course Costco is wasting "so much money by accepting items."  They don't sell returned items.
So clearly Costo is losing money and biting the bullet, something Nitrogen needs to wake up and do as well!

No they are not losing money, it is just like their items did not get bought in the first place. So my point is still the same, its just you can't understand what nitrogensports is done because you only look at one side of the issue. Let me ask you, are you willing to pay $20 for withdrawal your players make? If yes, you should create a gambling site and I will make a deposit of lets say 1btc and withdraw .001btc for 1000x and you will pay $20,000 for nothing. makes sense?

I know you live in the Philippines and things might be different over there, so I'll explain myself only one more time:
If company A spends $10 to manufacture an item, which is sold and then returned, company A loses $10 because company A can not sell that item.
Your analogy "it is just like their items did not get bought in the first place" is entirely inaccurate.

Nitrogen needs to change their withdrawal policy or at least address the issue.

why would they change their withdrawal policy?
you do not come to  a shop and say: "hey I think your price is unfair, you need to change your
price policies and also give me things for free"  Grin
you just go to a shop/casino that suits you instead and its the only way you can change their policies
since once they see that it results in profit or clientelle loss, they might change the policies themselves
2868  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Crypto media you trust on: December 18, 2017, 06:46:20 PM
a good bet would be going here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=77.0
and reading the news articles and picking and choosing (and maybe bookmarking)
the crypto news sites that look the best and the most informative to you
or you can pick a recent article or news/event and google it,then go to the sites
helps to see if the "reaction time" is good enough
2869  Economy / Gambling / Re: Nitrogen $20 withdrawal fee on: December 18, 2017, 05:32:51 PM
20$ fees are outrageous, but look at the state of blockchain-130.000 unconfirmed transactions!
they do offer a single free payout per week,if Im not mistaken, though
so consolidate your payments and withdraw once a week,if that is an option for you
but I feel you, some sites have 40-60.000 satoshis withdrawal fixed fees and it sucks to pay 5-10% of your
balance to withdraw,to pay 100.000+ sucks even more
2870  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you regret selling your BTCs? on: December 18, 2017, 04:37:02 PM
don't regret anything,ever
whatever you are doing you are doing it to the best of your knowledge at that time
you can't change things, but can learn from mistakes
for that you do not have to regret what you have done but try to analyze why and what
so you do not repeat your mistakes
with bitcoins it is same-you sold your coins and they gained value, happens, next time HODL
on the other hand, imagine how many good decisions you make but do not pay attention to,daily?
2871  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Zero fee transactions on: December 18, 2017, 12:56:44 PM
I want to send some coins from my Windows wallet to my Ubuntu wallet. Both are based on nodes using the latest version of core. I'm not bothered about confirmation times, even if it takes a week to get a confirmation. It seems that no-fee transactions may be possible under certain circumstances.
Quote
Historic rules for free transactions

A transaction was safe to send without fees if these conditions were met:

It is smaller than 1,000 bytes.
All outputs are 0.01 BTC or larger.
Its priority is large enough (see above)
The above quote is from the Bitcoin Wiki.

Another quote is
Quote
The reference client currently refuses to relay transactions it considers unacceptable, such as those with zero or no fees. However, there may be miners who are willing to put these in a block. This group is for people who want to send such transactions, and those who want to put them in blocks.

To participate, have your node maintain a connection to Lightfoot Hosting's node, which relays indiscriminately. This means that you can broadcast your transaction to it, and it will relay it to any miner who also has a connection to it. If your transaction meets the policies of at least one miner connected, it should eventually be mined into a block.

Are these two quotes still true. or are no-fee transactions dead in the current market?

I sent a very low fee (<5 sat/byte)transaction right before the gran snag on the blockchain
it has been unconfirmed for 12 whole days now,I'm not too concerned about the speed, yes
but I would like to see it cleared in under 3 months time simply because if the price fluctuates
it would be wise to get hold of funds rather than have them stuck in limbo
for any transaction that is relatively important(and I feel extremely stingy) I'm trying to set a fee of at least 10 sat/byte,so it can be accelerated for free at leisure if I feel so

I use Jaxx for my crypto storage but had some problems with it recently so I want to try something else.

Can I recover my funds on Coinomi for example ?

yes,you can export your private keys into any wallet that supports it
Coinomi supports it all right,so if you want to transfer funds to Coinomi, follow the procedure:

2873  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Crypto Debit Card (US law only banks can issue debit cards) on: December 18, 2017, 12:16:38 PM
Does anyone know what the specific law is in regards to crypto debit cards being issued.

It seems in the United States only a bank can issue a debit card. I was wondering what the actual law was and if i can have it issued outside the US and then shipped to myself.

Any information appreciated.
Thanks

most of the crypto debit card companies have specific terms under which they issue cards
many of them do not ship card to the US,also there was a big change to their TOS recently
disallowing the usage of the said cards outside the EU: https://news.bitcoin.com/bitcoin-debit-cards-non-european-residents-visas-new-rules/
first VISA and then Mastercard prohibiting this and the companies cannot but comply
you should read the TOS for each and every crypto card issuer and find one that sends to the US
you can find a list here, for example: https://darknetmarkets.co/category/bitcoin-debit-cards/
2874  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Which jurisdiction is better now? on: December 18, 2017, 12:04:50 PM
Hong Kong is probably the worst jurisdiction for ICOs nowadays
since China banned ICOs and Hong Kong is considered a part of China by the chinese and they are working on
it being legally recognised as well, the chinese laws could be imposed on Hong Kong,so why risk it when there are more than enough
countries that have recognised the legality of cryptocurrencies, hence creating ICOs there would be a good idea (Japan,Korea)
2875  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is your best game for playing on casinos??? on: December 17, 2017, 08:10:04 PM
online casinos-my weapon of choice is dice,I enjoy its low house edge and the devilish simplicity of play
its addictive and mesmerising, they say you can watch three things forever-fire burn, water fall and autobet on dice...
when I play real life casinos,I usually go to roulette or blackjack tables
2876  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-12-15] Malaysia Issues Digital Currency Regulations for Public Review on: December 17, 2017, 03:42:10 PM
Just recently, the Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), the country’s central bank, has issued drafted digital currency regulatory guidelines for citizens and businesses residing in the region. The new regulations will fall under the country’s anti-money laundering and anti-terrorism financing act of 2001. If the guidelines are approved, cryptocurrency trading platforms must provide digital asset trade volume statistics, identify all customers, and also monitor transactions going in and out of the exchange.

Why are certain governments only concerned with regulating bitcoin because of terrorism and money laundering? is it that at least these governments should not worry about guaranteeing the rights of investors who use the exchange? regulating the exchange can help reduce the frequent cases of abuse that many exchange do with their clients. But it seems that regulators are not worried about ensuring that there is security in the exchange, that the exchanges respect their customers and do not steal money from their customers.

because they have to give a reason to regulate it ,thats why fighting terrorism and money laundering prevention
sound much better than we want your privacy removed ,also we as central bank want to fight any decentralised currency and fight any attempt to
break the grip of the central banks on your economies
they don't give a damn if the money is stolen, money is nothing for them,it can be printed any time in any quantity
its your private data and control over your financial life that is important
2877  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-12-14] How The Net Neutrality Vote May Block Bitcoin And Crypto Trading on: December 17, 2017, 01:42:31 PM
It's unlikely that this will end up happening.  ISPs don't have any reasonable incentive to block crypto trading.

They didn't block crypto trading before these regulations were passed (2013-2014), and similarly, it's very unlikely that they will do so now.

There are many states with more restrictions over the Internet than the United States, and in most of those states, crypto exchanges have not been blocked.

how can they block cryptotrading on ISP level without deep packet inspection?
and if they are planning to introduce DPI,blocking of cryptotrading is the least of your worries:
agentcies will be able to monitor and curtail your internet  without your knowledge or consent
I mean they might be doing it already and probably are doing it for quite a long time, but this is going to "legalize" it

I do not recommend this cryptocurrency casino at all, I have blocked the account just after asking for a withdrawal and also without any warning in any way they only banned me without reason to steal me is what they have done Angry Angry

Without any reasons? Are you sure about it? I think there must be something wrong with your account, most likely your account is being tagged because breaking their term(s). Would you mind to share your username and we all will know the answer from duckdice related to the ban of your account.

more than sure that its one of the accounts from the posts above
there was a ring of farmers all same style, farming rains and faucets
also his post is pretty much reminds me of the AjayRohilla's post -same english
expect more newbie accounts complaining about getting banned "without a reason"
2879  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-11-29] How to Buy Bitcoin When Underage on: December 17, 2017, 11:38:59 AM
I'm not sure underage should buy bitcoins first place, they are not adults to make investment decisions
but they can and should read about bitcoins and obtain it in different ways
buying coins usually means one has to register at one of the exchanges or exchangers
being underage doesn't neccessarily mean you are unable to make informed decisions, but a law is a law for a reason:
if you buy coins and then unable to withdraw or sell them (asked KYC,for example) this could result in money loss
and lost interest in bitcoins in general
