Now imagine if you held onto those coins. You would have good amount of profits. That sure would that have made you happy. I think back then you were young and naive and didn't see much of a reason to hold on to your keys. If you had held onto those coins till now you would be  rich enough to go into start any business of your choice.  Its painful to lose such money...it is indeed a bitter experience.
But hey life happens, don't beat yourself about it. Your time is now. Invest in your future

I am new to Cryptocurrency and I hear of people complaining heavily about how the loose their coin to scammers. I get scared of investing most of the times. On different count I get advice from friends to try invest in Cryptocurrency. I have gone on line to source for answer but I get confused.
Here are some pointers you should look out for when investing in a company so you don't fall for scams.
1. Avoid random telegram groups. In fact stay off telegram I know it sounds extreme but you'd be thankful you did.
2. Do not trust anyone claiming they will give you bitcoin or help you mine bitcoin for a small fee.
3. Do not trust the pretty girl in the fancy dress trying to convince of you of a golden opportunity.
4. Never trust anyone who promises to track and give you vsvk your lost Bitcoins. You most likely will get scammed again

I have plans of investing $400 in Crypto now my challenge is which coin should I start with, considering different coin scattered across different exchanges. I no of Bitcoin and Etherium but where to buy from and how to start is my challenge.
If I succeed in buying where do I store the coin, which of the wallet will be safer for me. I am scared of loosing this because this is my last fortune. As a girl child I want to be self reliant and independent. Some one introduced me to bitcointalk where I can ask questions and get direction on how to start up a business by buying Cryptocurrency and living it for a longer period of time by so doing I will accumulate wealth on a long-term base.
You can purchase using credit card, or bank transfer from any exchange or wallet like Binance, Bitfinex, Kraken, Coinbase.
or wallets like Jaxx, Mycelium, Blockchain Or buy directly from other people.
Hodling is always a good idea. If you are looking to buy alts you should do proper research before buying so you don't have an heart attack.
2863  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin the solution to financial freedom on: April 20, 2021, 07:12:50 AM
To me bitcoin is more of a store value. There are so many limitations  to what OP is suggesting. Bitcoin is easy to use but you still need basic level of education to know how to use it.
Even though crypto is the future of money, Bitcoin cannot replace traditional currencies. For Bitcoin to complete such feat, it has to be accepted not just locally but worldwide. To be honest, its goinf to take a long time for bitcoin to replace fiat. Governments are doing their best to make sure that never happens. In the past they called bitcoin a scam and declared it illegal. They fear the power bitcoin gives to the people. Although I don't think bitcoin has used to protest yet or boycott a movement. Best case scenario, the government will  create their own cryptocurrency so that they still have control. Correct me if I'm wrong but libra coin is an example of such cryptocurrency.

Sounds like you were raised in the country side. Parents can be over protective sometimes, I think it comes with the parent guide handbook lol.  There are three major factors that influence the behavior of a child. The first is Family, this is where parents, siblings and relatives come in. The second is Religion( the church or mosque) this shape the core values of the child. The third is the Environment: this involves all the external factors that influence the behavior of the child. These three factors form the foundation from which everything else is built on.

All said and done, Liverpool must not just find a way to secure champions legue football next season, they must find a way to win football matches again. The attacking trio of Mana, Firmino and Salah have looked "found out" this season. Aside th 7-0 in against Crystal Palace to game comes to mind when you think of Liverpool properly inning a game this season. Liverpool, it must be said, have had a terrible season in terms of injuries (and VAR decisions) but their sitution hasn't been helped  by some of the rong coaching decisions Klopp has made over the season, most notably, sacrificing the midfielder to fill in the defendive position. However, with the remaining EPL fixtures, I strongly believe that Liverpool will secure Champions league football next season.
2866  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: April 19, 2021, 08:17:53 PM
Real Madrid players and supporters would be in for a very huge suprise if they strongly believe that they would blow the Chelsea side away. Tuchel has added a strong defensive mentality to the Chelsea team and with fast and high quality players they possess, Chelsea may just nick it against Real Madrid. In the second leg of their Quarter-Final game, Liverpool really ran circles around Real Madrid but couldn't capitalize and I'm sure Chelsea would look to apply the same pressure with a little more efficiency in front of goal. Tuchel would probably use the 3 CBs system and try to overload the midfield, reducing the power that Kross and Modric would have on the tie and ask Vinicius Jr. and Asensio to really show their resilience and commitment as they would have to attack and keep an eye on the Chelsea full-back. It would surely be a difficult game to predict but if Chelsea can keep their head and their shape over the two legs, they may be able to book a ticket to their first Champions league final since 2012

I decided to dump everything about crypto currency giving it a break. I also deleted my Blockchain wallet from my phone.
Last year during the early stage of convid 19, I could remember that I had bitcoin somewhere so, I went in search of it. I reinstalled my Blockchain wallet but I couldn't logged in cos it's was asking me of my private keys. I've searched every corners, books, dairies but still couldn't find my private keys.
At least I should have not less than 1.1 bitcoin in my wallet which could worth more than $70,000. Converting this money to my country currency makes me a millionaire.

OP I believe the answers to your questions have been provided by
SquirrelJulietGarden and other forum memebers. But you have failed to give us a report on what you have done so far. How do we know how help you if you don't give feedback? If the problem has been solved, let us know and lock the thread.
Not your coin, not your keys. So does a popular poem on the forum goes.
Its actually "not your keys, not your coin" lol. OP now understands this better than anyone. I wonder if OP was still communicating with his crypto buddies when he dumped crypto
2868  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: is this for real? (overzealous banker) on: April 18, 2021, 08:08:25 PM
We all know traditional banks are strictly against the idea of crypto. They see Bitcoin as a threat to their existence and relevance. They would discourage anyone who wants to own Bitcoin. The same corporations who own the banks also own the media. That's why there's such bad news surrounding crypto for years. Bitcoin has been labelled a scam, ponzi and so on.
Bitcoin has been banned in some countries in recent times. You have to check these things to make sure your country government hasn't changed their mind about crypto. There are already talks of crypto regulation in the U.S. I don't know how far they will go for it.
In the future, never disclose such information to anyone. If you need someone to talk to about crypto you've got the forum, I'm sure most of your questions can be answered here.
2869  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Whats the best way/method to learn crypto? on: April 18, 2021, 07:41:10 PM
Hello everyone!

I'm fairly new to cryptocurrency but i've invested in bitcoins years ago but never understood it. Pretty much friend told me to buy it so I did lol.
Rule 1: Do your own research. Never buy a coin just because someone said so.. Read all you can about the coin and find good reasons why you should buy or not. No one can accurately predict the crypto market 100&. Most are speculations derived from their own analysis. Look at this way, you brought because your friend said so. What happens when things go south and the market dumps. I imagine it will devastating for you, you will probably Blane your friend for your loss because then you will realize the whole idea wasn't really your decision in the first place. On the brighter side, since you bought years ago you're already in profits and having a swell time

Payments have been sent to everyone who qualified, I am closing this now. It may reopen later this week but for now you may all remove sigs. If it reopens everyone will have to reapply.
Thank you boss! Best campaign manager ever.  I'm glad I was a part of this campaign. It's always a pleasure working with you.
2872  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How do we help signature campaigns generate fund to pay its participants on: April 14, 2021, 08:08:31 PM
I don't think there any help we can offer to these companies. Signature campaigns are a form of advertisement or promotion. The company pushes its product/service into the market easily. And signature campaigns on the forum are doing just fine without any help. I think the success of a campaign also depends on the manager of the signature campaign.
2873  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: April 14, 2021, 07:30:43 PM
Manchester City have done really well under the management of Pep Guardiola. Manchester City has always had amazing talents on the pitch but never have we seen a team dominate the epl. So I don't think it is fair that Pep Guardiola is being put under such pressure to win the champions league. Even if he doesn't win the UEFA champions league this year, that doesn't make him a failure.  Pep remains a legend in my book
2874  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Dating apps and websites crypto scam on: April 14, 2021, 07:03:24 PM
Gullible people will always fall for scams. Quick money can be very appealing to their greed and they absorb every lie they are told as long as they hold on to the hope they will get a pot of gold at the end. Scammers don't even put in much effort, when I hear some of the scam stories I find it hard to believe that people still fall for it. Now dating scam is a different ball game, the foundation of romance/ dating scams is deeply rooted in the emotions and feelings of the victim. They make you fall inlove with the idea of them and the rest is history
2875  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: April 14, 2021, 06:44:25 PM

Chelsea survived the game last night. I think Porto was too cautious in the game and wasn't their usual aggressive self. I wonder why they changed tactics. The game was boring for most of the minutes.  Chelsea will either face off with Liverpool or Real Madrid  in the finals. Either ways I want a English team to win the UEFA champions league this year. Manchester City was my favorite for the title but they have lost that chance.
2876  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the Best Time to sell ? on: April 14, 2021, 06:33:45 PM
The answer is you never know for sure. Month ago I thought it'd be right to sell at $62000 (and I partly did), now I'm not so sure LOL

Selling at $62000  is not a bad If you bought at a lower price and made profit. Regretting now because there's is a rise in price is pointless. If the market had dumped you wouldn't be having mixed feelings. Be satisfied with the little profit you made. Don't let greed set in. That can destroy your whole trading plan.
I sold Bitcoin at $22k and $30k...at the time I was happy I made good profits considering my entry points. Now Bitcoin is $62k I'm not even bothered about it
2877  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is for Holders! on: April 14, 2021, 02:39:35 AM
Hodling is good, no one can dispute that but people should cash out profits whenever they can. If you bought bitcoin before the bull run in December, bitcoin was about $20k then you can sell off a certain amount at the current price of $62k. Make no mistake, hodling doesn't mean you shouldn't have a sell price target. I mean you can't continue hodling forever, the market dumps and pumps on you but you do nothing about it because you're "hodling"
2878  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we expecting a bullish trend? on: April 14, 2021, 02:34:00 AM

Knowing how to spot and draw good support and resistance levels is important if you want to be a trader. Relying solely on fundamentals wouldn't do you much good. From the chart, you can see the different price levels bitcoin has hit. Bitcoin has risen significantly although the market is unpredictable, I dare say the bull run is not yet over.
2879  Economy / Economics / Re: Nigeria will overtake India in P2P on: April 14, 2021, 02:04:42 AM
As for Nigeria overtaking India in the crypto space, that is very possible. I think the ban on Bitcoin by the Nigerian government only helped push more Nigerians into asking questions about crypto currency. The people are already of resentful of the government and don't trust them. Hence the refusal of Nigerians to quit using crypto. The only challenge right now is some of the exchanges that have users money locked in. I read the ban has been lifted but apps like luno still withhold withdrawal options.
2880  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: April 13, 2021, 05:51:14 PM
I look at the EPL table now and I'm shocked to see West Ham United in 4th place. How? Just how is this happening in the EPL because I don't get it. The league has become very controversial and unpredicted through out this season. It amazes me still. They had a good game today though, played over 4.5 for the gamblers in there West Ham United 3-2 Leicester City win this afternoon.

Tottenham on the other hand is the flop of the Sunday. I didn't imagine them loosing to Manchester United today. What is Jose Mourinho really doing, for real. His got the square, he should use them and stop playing around.

It's different from the EPL that something unexpected can happen even I still remember when Leicester city first entered the premier league and came out as champions
of course this is more horrendous in the whole world, right? so don't be surprised if West Ham are ranked 4-3-2 or even 1st

As we all know in football, most times, results, referee decisions, VAR interventions, manager apointments all balance out. West ham have been amazing this season and they must be given credit. The board have given David Moyes time and environment where he has been able to implement his philosophy, recruit the players he need over a period of time. The West Ham team is a mixture of young, talented home grown players (Rice, Antonio, Johnson, Lingard etc) and foreign players (Soucek, Lanzini, Diop, Bowen etc.). They may well miss the Champions league spot at the end of the seson but that shouldnt take anything away from the amazing campaign they have had this season.
