The answer is that ....it's always really really hard finding a coin that could just have a positive ROI! I have taken some prediction from "The next 100x-1000x coin?" https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2106360.0And at the end, after 3 years 65,4% have realized a negative profit, include some coins "dead" with evaluation of 0! If you like to gamble your money, you can pick one of suggested coin and trying your luck. My suggestion is to focus your effort in understand why/what bitcoin has introduced and why it's something "new" and deserve so many attention by investors and users. Probably there are altcoins that deserve attention too... but there are other reason and most of the times are just speculation. If you want invest in "long term" I think that most of your effort should be directed to bitcoin only. |

Weekly lottery as prize is worthless compared to the Lambo but I agree that you also have a really good idea as in the end we get these lottery tickets 99.99% for free from our WoF and it does not cost us anything,meanwhile we greatly increase our chances if the pool is for example from like 20-50 persons.I agree to this if most other people do,we need a separate thread though,where we can keep it as the other betting pools that are made for different things like Premier League,Champions League,F1 etc.The idea surely caught my eye and this is even more risk free than the Lambo pool. My misconceptions abut bitcoin (some years ago) was related the nature of this creation.
I mean, I was already focused in project like liberty-reserve or e-gold (all shut down and people arrested...) and I was thinking that bitcoin was just another form of such kind of payment provider.
After I have read the white paper I have understood the deeply difference in what was realized in the past and how bitcoin was something able to "survive" as a digital form of payment.
The list of 3 misconceptions in open post is one of the typical I heard about people speaking about bitcoin.
Each time I ask to people "what you really know about bitcoin"? It's pretty clear they don't know anything unless their opinion based on "nothing"!

L'oro ha sempre il limite di essere un bene pesante, poco atto al frazionamento e alla privacy. BTC lo supera su molti fronti. Chiaro che in caso di sabotaggio dei cavi sottomarini, potremmo considerare l'oro temporaneamente superiore.
bitcoin funziona anche senza internet, con il satellitare o via radio. Capitolo a parte merita LN ... che richiede praticamente 2 transazioni on-chain per effettuarne un numero "indefinito" off-chain. Kenya o Cina (due paesi praticamente agli antipodi) hanno il boom per utilizzo di pagamenti via telefono o app che permettono di usare bitcoin in maniera semplice, alla portata di tutti... Considerato che ci muoviamo tutti con carte di debito/credito, salta internet (evento particolarmente negativo)... con cosa paghiamo? Oro? Corsa agli sportelli per prelevare un po di carta? Stile seconda stagione di Mr.Robot? Anche in uno scenario del genere credo sia molto più probabile l'utilizzo di LN (anche più semplice da un punto di vista pratico). |

I think that you need to evaluate the chance for betting on such sites Just because I think that Betfair offer the best market conditions for a wide range of betting like horse racing/greyhounds... Plus they have always "liquid" markets, that allow scalpings or easy cashout at any time of a game.
