2861  Local / منصات التبادل / Re: بينانس بالعربية on: September 25, 2020, 10:25:23 AM

Binance Academy:

https://academy.binance.com/ar/tutorials/withdrawal-address-whitelist
https://academy.binance.com/ar/tutorials/binance-dex-interface-guide

Nice guide @OmegaStarScream

Thanks Smiley

Thanks everyone for your help. And especially OmegaStarScream, I followed your steps and had success.......well up to the point where I created the Binance chain wallet where I can see the USDT listed as an asset. I'm just not if this is it in my Binance Chain wallet or if it's an asset that I can bring across to it as I can't seem to do anything with it. I'm running late for work so later on hopefully I will get time to finalise what I need to do to complete the process.

If you can see the balance that you originally withdrew from Binance to Coinbase, then you should be fine. Just click on "Send", choose "USDT" as an asset, put the address (a BSC address and not an ethereum one) and the amount, then click send.

As I previously stated, you'll need to have some BNB in that wallet before you can send it to another wallet. BNB in Binance's Smart chain is like ETH (gas) for ERC20 tokens.

If you're unsure of what to do, please let us know so we can help you because if you ever send the funds to the wrong chain again (specifically to an exchange/service where you can't retrieve your private keys) then your funds will be unrecoverable.
2863  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Is there any app with notification when there's a transaction? on: September 23, 2020, 02:24:34 PM
There is also this: https://cryptocurrencyalerting.com/wallet-watch.html

The cons (compared to Blockconomics):

- It doesn't support xPubs, and you can only create 3 alerts (you can upgrade your account to create more alerts)

Pros:

- More alerting methods (Discord, Telegram, email, Webhooks and Slack).
- Support ETH and ERC20 tokens.

You can also take a look at Bluewallet's (watch-only feature) but you might need to run GroundControl to receive the notifications: https://medium.com/bluewallet/v5-5-2-ground-control-87073ed44910

I managed to find this site by googling[1][2][3]. I can't vouch for them as I haven't used them before, but it might be worth looking at.

2865  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Funds went missing on a transfer from Binance to Coinbase on: September 23, 2020, 10:20:32 AM
Okay, so I reinstalled the Coinbase wallet on my phone, funded my Binance account, bought some USDT and did some tests, and this is what I think happened (based on what you said):

As mentioned by hosseinimr93, you can't withdraw to BEP2, not when you're using an ethereum address anyway. The same applies to Omni USDT so this leaves us with two possibilities:

1. Ethereum network: If you did withdraw to that, Coinbase wallet would've shown the funds but it's possible that your wallet is not synced with the network (I doubt it though).
2. BSC (Binance Smart chain): And that's what I think happened here since Binance's smart chain addresses look similar to Ethereum's.

How to confirm which one is it: Go to your withdrawal history (https://www.binance.com/en/my/wallet/history/withdraw-crypto) and see where the TXID is leading you to. If the link is taking you to Etherscan.io, it means you withdrew the funds to Ethereum's network and the problem is coming from your wallet. If you're being redirected to BSCscan.com then it's the second possibility...

So assuming it's the latter (#2), the solution is simple (just tried it):

- Open your Coinbase wallet -> Settings (bottom right) -> Recovery Phrase and then write it down in a piece of paper.
- Install Binance chain wallet (Click on "Create/unlock wallet") and it will redirect you to the extension's page.
- Open it > "I own a wallet" > Type the seed you wrote down in the first step, choose a strong password and then make sure to select "Binance Smart Chain Network" instead of "Binance Chain network".
- Click on the "+" sign and add USDT to your account.
- Done! You should now see the USDT that you withdrew from Binance.

Now, If you want change it back to ERC20 USDT (Ethereum's network) you can send it to Binance again and then withdraw it (to ERC20 network).

Note: In order to be able to send the USDT from Binance's chain wallet, you'll have to add some BNB (Binance's Token) to it first.

on: September 21, 2020, 05:13:41 PM

2870  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.com ... Disappearing bought BTC? on: September 21, 2020, 04:02:22 PM
I'm not familiar with Blockchain's trading platform but... What do you mean when you say disappeared? They first showed in your wallet, then vanished?

If you can see the TXID in your trading account, check it and see if the funds went to the right address (the receiving address you have in your non-custodial wallet). If they did and they're still there, it can be glitch and in that case, I would suggest restoring your wallet inside the blockchain mobile app and see if anything shows there.

Trace the coins you sent here > https://www.omniexplorer.info/

Assuming that he sent the funds to a USDC address, he'll have to use Etherscan or Ethplorer. Omniexplorer is for tokens built on Bitcoin's blockchain.
2872  Economy / Services / Re: Retrieve data from a Facebook page on: September 21, 2020, 11:32:57 AM
It is difficult though, even if you will check every single post of the facebook page just to confirm if it is true, you still can't guarantee by that way.
Also, if he/she is one of the founders, then some founders or people on the charity may testify or prove if that person is one of the founders and telling the truth.

I know that doesn't guarantee it, but it would definitely help me to know his true intentions (especially in this particular case) and I did try to reach out to the charity, but I didn't get a response yet.

-snip

-snip-

No worries. I could've done it myself, but I don't think that scrapping is a good solution. AFAIK, Facebook doesn't show all the usernames. It would've just displayed something like:

Code:
"User 1"
"User 2"
...
And 30 more reacted to this post"

You could try to search any link between his profile and the project by writing his name and the project's name on the search box. Then filter the search results to posts only. Hope it works.

Thanks for your suggestion, but that didn't work. I think it only works on the content of the posts.

To OP. Based on your thread title,  I just copy paste it in presearch, and found this : https://gwu-libraries.github.io/sfm-ui/posts/2018-01-02-facebook

-snip-

Using inspect element won't work as I explained above and I know the permissions might be an issue, but I was hoping maybe I could retrieve such data directly from the page since anyone with a Facebook account can see them already? I couldn't find anything about that on the API documentation though...

I appreciate everyone's willingness to help. I guess I'll just have to wait for the organization's response.
2873  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Funds went missing on a transfer from Binance to Coinbase on: September 21, 2020, 10:29:55 AM
And by Coinbase, you mean their mobile non-custodial wallet? If not then, I could be wrong but looking at the trading pairs for both of their platforms:

https://help.coinbase.com/en/coinbase/getting-started/general-crypto-education/supported-cryptocurrencies
https://help.coinbase.com/en/pro/trading-and-funding/cryptocurrency-trading-pairs/locations-and-trading-pairs

It looks like they don't even support USDT.

Also, I don't think this has anything to do with choosing the wrong transfer network because Binance's smart chain, ETH, and TRON addresses do not look the same and if you select a network and paste an address, you will notice that there is an error message.
2874  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [List] Gift cards providers on: September 21, 2020, 08:51:44 AM
We always have them in stock. We try to add other values soon.

https://www.coinsbee.com/de/Steam-bitcoin

He was looking for smaller denominations. From what I can see you only have 50's for USD.

I've got a question though, I can see that you have AE and SA cards, I know that cards are currency locked now, what does it mean exactly? Can I redeem the cards, and have to shop in the card's currency, or I won't be able to redeem them at all?

You can't do that because the website is a scam as mentioned here[1][2][3]. I'm surprised that the site is still running after all these months.

2876  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Namecheap has finally enabled BTCPay Server on their top-up page on: September 20, 2020, 01:14:36 PM
Good news, i'll consider Namecheap if i ever plan to buy domain or/and rent a VPS. They should announce about new payment processor at their blog and social media though, since i don't see any.
Have been using Namecheap for 3 years for their domains and haven't had a single problem as of yet.

Same here. I would definitely recommend them for buying domains. Not sure I'd choose them for hosting though, Vultr is a way better alternative for that.

Kraken owns the private keys, closing your account won't change anything about that. I suggest you reach out to the support, but I wouldn't count on it because apparently, there have been some similar cases[1][2], and Kraken wasn't helpful about it.

Have you tried to check their facebook fan page transperancy?
On that section you will get information about the creation date, nama changes history, and people who manage that page (if they choose to unhide this information).

I have tried to check that, but nothing is showing. The only thing I can see is the geographical location of the people managing the page.

2880  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Directory on: September 20, 2020, 10:14:54 AM
The idea is good but it has been done before:

- Bitcoin.Directory
- Bitpay's directory

So if you want for people to use your website, I would suggest focusing two things: UI/UX and most importantly, providing as much details and info as possible (with filters). Here is what you can include:

- The payment processor used by the service (If any). This matters because BitPay and CoinPayments have some countries blocked.
- If the service is LN friendly or not.
- Details about the affiliate program of the site.
- For custudoial services: Is KYC required?
- For wallets: mention if they're custodial or non-custodial.
- Enable disqus comments so people can leave their comments as well.

As for Reddit, then the real BTC is /r/Bitcoin while the other one is for BCH.
