you mean 700% a week lol

What about doing something as stupid and simple as the following
Generate address each lets say 50BTC in it.Then you export all the privite keys and split them all using this website http://passguardian.com/
Then you distribute parts of the key to 255 differnt users. You then delete the privite keys off your computer and send away the parts.

Whats good about this is noone really has any money just parts of the money that if put together gets you some of the money. Also by keeping who exactly got peices quite none really knows who to talk to or ask to try to steal the money so to speak. Also another plus of this would be that you can set how many peices you need to reconstruct the whole thing. So you could set it at 51% meaning the majority has to agree.

255 parts?  Could it be more complicated? Tongue

I'm willing to hold a partial key on my wife's office RAID server.  We're both incorporated in CA and as much as we would like to get the hell out of this socialist republic I don't think we're fleeing anytime soon  Cheesy

This would all be funny if it wasn't so sad.  Get a tradeskill and work you lazy bums!

I'm off to water my lawn and eat my 3PM dinner.
2863  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: SoCAL BITCOINERS Poll: Where to meet??? on: February 14, 2013, 10:10:31 AM
Sorry I missed all these meets, was busy having babies (rather the wife was).  Anything planned in the near future?

I'm right next to the LA/OC border.
2864  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Police become the Judge, Jury and Executioner and burned down Dorner's cabin. on: February 14, 2013, 09:46:01 AM
What's funny is I was listening to the local radio station KNX 1070 (I live 5 miles from Dorners parent's house) and they had no problem airing the cops shouting multiple profanities at the CBS reporter who got too close to the action, but then they shut down postings on their website regarding it.  Somehow I doubt the FCC is going to fine them for indecency breaches.  You know it was going to happen too because I was hearing over 800 rounds being fired for 2 minutes over live radio  Shocked

I generally am trustful of law enforcement but LAPD and LA Sherrifs are filled with crap with Baca and Beck - more like Beavis and Butthead.  They had no intention of arresting this guy and taking him to court, but they've coddled far worse violent offenders in the past.

Some light reading while you fume -  see how much you would have made as a batch 2 owner in a high electricity cost country:

http://organofcorti.blogspot.com/2013/02/98-asic-choices-avalon-update.html

I'm disappointed your definition of high electricity cost country is $0.25/kwh, considering I'm getting bent over with 0.32/kwh in California.

Really? I thought we had it bad. US miners are always banging on about their US$0.09 to US$0.15 per kWh, I didn't realise it varied that much.

I'll post something for Californians when I wake up (which will be after I go to bed, not after I have yet another coffee).

I did end up finishing the original post, but beware - it's nearly 4am here and there will be typos.

http://organofcorti.blogspot.com/2013/02/98-asic-choices-avalon-update.html

Let me update the numbers, $0.36/KWh in Southern California with SCE Tier 5 (this is why I have to mine at the wife's office instead of home).
2868  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Avalon ASIC] Batch #2 pre-Sale Thread on: February 02, 2013, 04:05:21 PM
Was looking through my walletbit history and good thing I didn't complete payment for my order, shows a Mr. Rosenberger (not me).  If anybody paid for zip code 90703 those are my orders  Tongue

Ahh this is going to be drama...
2869  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Avalon ASIC] Batch #2 pre-Sale Thread on: February 02, 2013, 03:49:52 PM
If they count the number of units passed onto walletbit as part of their 600 I have 10 ordered and I'm sure somebody else must have at least 50 lol
2870  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Avalon ASIC] Batch #2 pre-Sale Thread on: February 02, 2013, 03:25:00 PM
Not happy at all with the fact that some have been able to see my personal info.. This is a MAJOR FAIL !

Pretty sure I was one of the first to get to walletbit, when I saw the amount of 0.5 btc, I cliqued back to avalon site to look up, and have been stuck in the lag since..

I'm really disapointed, if not mad, with the fact that my personal info has been exposed by this mess !

I got there pretty early too.  I had in 4 my cart but only wanted 1, but wasn't willing to chance it.  I was willing to pay for 4 and then decided to bail when the incorrect price showed up.  Been mindlessly trying to get to the same point for almost an hour now.
2871  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Avalon ASIC] Batch #2 pre-Sale Thread on: February 02, 2013, 03:14:18 PM
Got to wallet bit page 4 times now and each time those stupid rats
2872  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Avalon ASIC] Batch #2 pre-Sale Thread on: February 02, 2013, 03:07:37 PM
WTF I spent less time signing loan documents for my house than trying to place an order here.  They need to relaunch Batch #2.

All hail the mighty ignore list, silencer of dissention, censor of questions, ensurer of the one true path.

You forgot "starver of trolls"

I don't think it functions very well in that regard.

Maybe.

I mostly use it so the browsing bitcointalk.org is safe for work. Posters who only seem to produce profanity laden posts? Well, welcome to my ignore list, you fucking foulmouthed cunts.

Grin That post made my day.  If I could get a Sean Connery voice to read it...

No block for 6.5+ hours....really?  Shocked Angry Cry

Still very positive since the difficulty changed for PPLNS, even with this long block Smiley.  Gotta take the good with the bad.

Did I miss a string of good luck the first week?  I tried PPLNS for a week before Christmas, took a couple days break (of course we had a good run then), and then came back around Dec 26th.  Since then I'm earning significantly less (greater than 5% less than PPS) which is odd since PPLNS has the lower fee.  I set my payout to what I should be getting paid every 24hrs and adjust it when the difficulty changes.  Then I just look at the time index that the payment hits.  Sure it will swing wildly from one day to the next, but overall with this bad run I'm over 1.5 days behind what PPS would have paid.  Damn you lady luck  Angry

Silly windows users... no plugs were ever needed in linux.

Silly Linux users... no BIOS flashes were ever need to downclock memory to 150 in Windows.

Sigh, there's enough PC/Mac/Penguin threads to post in.....

Last couple of days have been horrid.  If this keeps up BTCGuild will go poof on the PPS side  Shocked
2880  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Can someone explain BTCGUILD's PPLNS to me like I am a five year old. on: January 02, 2013, 01:15:12 AM
I think we need to be hitting above 9 blocks per shift (especially when the shifts are over 1 hour long) to break even at the current difficulty.  I jumped back on PPLNS and am the #2 hasher (quite sad really with my small farm) and luck had been pretty bad for the last 4 days except for a short 5 hour run 2 days ago.
