2861  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading crypto is a different ball game on: August 23, 2020, 09:59:49 AM
Why can't he just maximize his profit if he is telling the truth, the thing is some people are just boasting their profit but we really don't know if they are profitable in reality. Damn, crypto is really different as this market could sometimes be manipulated and high risk compared to stock market, so if one masters stock market already, there's no reason to try to trade in crypto, besides, the goal is the same, we just want to make money.

That's his way to set a trend so that people will believe that his ways are effective to set a huge profits, still, the truth struck him so hard.

We all want to succeed and make our trading journey profitable, but we should also consider that we should make it in our own way. You can make your trading profitable if you are willing to learn and deal with those risks.

Dealing with the stock market is not that easy depending on the market situation, but if you tried to become independent to make yourself grow your assets, that will help you learn something in every transaction that you do.

In terms of fundamentals, stocks are more likely be affected through news and disclosures especially the blue chips and 2nd liner stocks who have high volume and market capitalization where the price can be manipulated by jockeys but in terms of technical analysis, the basics concepts and foundation are useful in both cryptocurrency and stock market. The volatility is also different with each other and also the time because stocks are usually traded in office hours while the crypto can traded 24/7. In order to become successful in our trading journey, we should focus on just 1 market in order to lessen the curve of learning. Both of it requires mastery and a set of rules that will create discpline.

Correct, that's why he was surprise with crypto because crypto is a different ball game, success in stock trading does not automatically mean success in crypto trading as well. He should have learn his lesson, but I guess he'll not since he doesn't lose a huge amount of money that would make him think of improving his crypto trading, considering he is telling the truth that he is making 6 digits trading daily in stocks.
2862  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting: how much knowledge is too much on: August 23, 2020, 09:32:36 AM
Experience will teach you how to win in sports betting.

First, you need to change your mindset and don't think sports betting will give you success overnight, long term goal is necessary if you are serious with it.
Once you are serious, you know you'll not play around but you'll ensure you have a good bankroll so you can do it for long term.

Bankroll management is one of the most important factor to consider, it's correct that you have to know the game, their stats and etc, but that is not all, it's just basic, identifying the line (normal or abnormal) or its movement would also help, sometimes line can be very attractive and that would make you get excited to bet on the better team but it was just a trap, most of the time.

Be clever and you'll learn that from your experience, just think of this, if sports bookies are winning, that means lots of bettors are losing, so the method which is "to be against the public", should work on you.
2863  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good news on: August 22, 2020, 10:32:48 PM
Still holding until now, but I won't start accumulating yet since dip was not spotted yet.

I like the explanation, it's possible that bitcoin would continue to rise now but I have been in this game for many years and I've seen a lot of unexpected things happening. I guess if the market dump because of the pandemic, we would not talk much about bullish prediction as people would certainly panic, and regardless how good the analysis are, only few would know it, glad you shared though.
2864  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Asset Insurance on: August 22, 2020, 10:45:38 AM
It seems to me that insurance of cryptocurrency assets at the current stage of development of the cryptocurrency market is almost impossible, especially given the volatility, and all the statements of teams about new projects that will provide such services simply look like manipulations in order to attract as many investors and the attention of other cryptocurrency users as possible.

Not a good business for insurance company, the risk is too high, no one would gamble for that risk, and besides, investing would not be fun anymore if there is no risk at all due to insurance. I can't fully get what OP meant, was it an insurance company under DeFi projects, or insurance that insures DeFi projects?

The thing is, insurance are centralized by nature, so it can't fall to DeFi projects.
2865  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading crypto is a different ball game on: August 22, 2020, 09:57:26 AM
Would you believe this guy?

He made 6 figures a day in stocks trading but try to get it done in crypto trading as well.

2866  Other / Archival / Re: Betting Systems on: August 21, 2020, 10:57:23 AM
I usually use the Martingale system.
For me, depending on the game, on dice, yes, on sportsbetting, no, I used straight betting using a certain amount per bet.

It's true that none of these systems lessen the risk or even increases your chance of winning.
It's only a betting system, this would not tell what to bet, therefore it would not help if you don't master your betting technique.
Let's just say it's one of the factors needed to make a betting technique.

Bankroll management, luck, and patience are needed if you really want to enjoy gambling. I always end up losing all my money when I lose my patience. Just enjoy gambling and feel free to use your own strategy.

Honestly, yes it is according to my research when I applied on my experience, that's why I realize that betting without a good bankroll will only frustrate us gamblers and we will lose discipline as sometimes we are not that realistic with our goal. Realistic gamblers would already be happy increasing 20% of his bankroll in the period of betting, but sometimes gamblers wants to increases their money into many folds.
2867  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Having loss is part of experience as a Trader on: August 21, 2020, 10:24:54 AM
Loss is a normal experience when you are trading, it's pretty similar to gambling when you win or loss sometimes. Traders should take what they are doing seriously, and it should be a long term journey where all you need to do is just to learn and improve by learning from your mistakes and your experience.

In the end, what matters is you will be profitable despite having an experience of loses.

Be realistic, just like bitcoin's movement, it's never going in one direction, it's volatile and it's moving in different ways where you can't predict the movement all the time, and actually nobody does, even the so called trading experts.
2868  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What has bitcoin done for you? on: August 18, 2020, 11:25:00 PM
A lot of things man, most of them are positive.

It change my life, particularly my financial life and I can say that I already have invested a lot on property, thanks to bitcoin.
With bitcoin, it also help me to be easily entertain online by gambling, so I think as long as I am still making money in bitcoin, I would continue to work for it in any way, and I'm proud that I have teach people to know about bitcoin and they have adopted.

I came here by myself, I mean surfing online most of the time brought me here and I think it was luck who introduce me to crypto because I found a lot of opportunity in this market. As my way of saying thank you, I'll continue to influence people to use or invest in crypto as that's my little contribution for the market to gain more adoption.
2869  Economy / Gambling / Re: Anyone tested CryptoBet.com? on: August 18, 2020, 11:01:31 PM
It doesnt necessarily for each gambling site would post up some ANN thread on this forum but we know that it would be more better if they able to do so.
Of course, it's easier to support and see people's feedback if they have an ANN thread in the forum, and I think it would give more exposure to the site as this forum have millions of users, and since the market is bullish now, there should be a significant demand on gambling too.

About Cryptobet.com then i dont see any feedbacks on this one even if trying out some google search on where its really hard to make up some judgement basing of on our intuition
or presumption without any hard evidences.

Did try to check out their twitter https://twitter.com/cryptobetcom which it doesnt really have any user interaction at all.So it wont be a surprising thing that no one havent heard of this sites existence.

But they have almost 2500 followers, if these people are real followers, then I guess they have some bettors.
Improvement is necessary for them, their marketing in different angles should be improve, especially in social media and if they can do in this forum, it's better.  I hope our campaign managers would try to contact them and see if they could run a marketing campaign here.

2871  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is very excited at the moment. on: August 18, 2020, 12:38:13 PM
After much speculation the value of bitcoin has been $12,000. Bitcoin is currently priced at $12,000. Bitcoin has actually been able to show that bitcoin is the king of the crypto world.
Bitcoin has always been the king, it was never dethrone by another coin.
There's a reason why there's Bitcoin and altcoins, that's because aside from bitcoin, we have some alternative coins.

Please convince your mind, even if bitcoin will struggle, it will still be the king as altcoins will also follow its movement.

As the price of bitcoin has risen, so have the prices of other cryptocurrencies. Ethereum, Litecoin etc coin prices have risen. What is going to happen in the market. What do you think about all this cryptocurrency? Let's discuss in detail.
That's what I'm telling you, they just follow the price movement of bitcoin, so hopefully you'll always think that bitcoin will always be the king.
2872  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Need urgent help with my Electrum wallet on: August 18, 2020, 11:53:28 AM
Have you check the wallet address and see if the balance is still available?

You can also try to download  new installer and install it in different computer, it could be that your computer has a problem, either virus so the file/s are corrupted. As long as you can check the balance and it's intact, there's nothing to worry as you can certainly recover your funds with your keys.
2873  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: VIP telegram channels...is it worht it on: August 18, 2020, 06:54:19 AM
Stay away, better learn and od it your self, they will give a signal but it's not really guaranteed it will happen.

They are in a business and even if we think they are professionals or good in trading, but still they are passing the risk into us and they are guaranteed of our payment whether the signal is correct or wrong. In the long run, if you are too reliant on them, it will not be good for you as you might struggle when they leave, so for me, the best way is to learn yourself and grow as a trader, you don't need to start with a decent amount, start small and eventually you'll grow your capital as you start to feel some confidence on what you are doing.
2874  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Everyone waiting for v2.0 but... on: August 18, 2020, 05:54:42 AM
How is it delayed? Do they gave an exact schedule to launch the ETH 2.0 ?

I think what I read is that it will be launch this year but they are not giving a specific date, so if its delayed, what's the new schedule?

Ps. I'd appreciate if you put some source of the information you shared.
I found the info on cointelegraph news

I check it and couldn't find it in the latest news. Are you sure it's a new publication?

Actually there's a lot of article we can read about ETH delaying their launch like this article (https://decrypt.co/35210/ethereum-2-0-delayed-vitalik-buterin-disagrees) published on Jul 11, 2020... so I guess this is not new to us, Vitalik and the ETH devs never promise a launch this year.

part of the content of the article I shared :

Quote
In brief
Ethereum 2.0 may not launch until 2021, according to Ethereum Foundation researcher Justin Drake.
Ethereum 2.0 transitions the network from a proof-of-work system. It's been in the works for years.
Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum, has argued against Drake's claims and believes that Ethereum 2.0 is still on track to launch this year.
2875  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin casinos to surge in German market? on: August 18, 2020, 05:17:23 AM

Again, as I have mentioned, Germany has a liberal mindset in terms of crypto adoption,

https://news.bitcoin.com/banks-germany-crypto/.

So this is really very positive news specially online gamblers, of course there are regulations to follow. So there could be a breakthrough news, specially online poker games which was recently legalised.

I don't think it would last long or we can expect that the demand would really grow.

They are using bitcoin to avoid government restrictions, and I think government will know that and if they order gambling using crypto will be illegal, I guess the adoption that we are expecting might not happen, also, even if the a country is pro crypto, it doesn't mean most transactions are done in gambling and since crypto is regulated in their country, I presume, so I guess it will be easy for them to track individual's transaction as people will use an exchange to convert their fiat into bitcoin and vice versa.
2876  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you lost money on Bitcoin you either bought in the red or you didn't hodl on: August 17, 2020, 11:34:05 PM
You'll never lost money on bitcoin if you go for long term hold, of course you need to hold and wait for the right time to sell.

Usually if we do hodl we aim for a higher price, so it means a long term hold and while holding we have to believe that the market will improve in the long run and that massive adoption will be achieve.

It's risky but if you trust bitcoin to gain massive adoption in the future, that would make you feel relax and confident while holding, you won't even bother checking the price from time to time as you know how volatile the market is, what you will have to check are the good news and on how it would affect the future of bitcoin.
2877  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: For the kind attention of the Gambling sites , a small suggestion on: August 17, 2020, 11:02:44 PM
Despite how many regulations the government will make, this would not eliminate the chances that kids could gamble in online casinos particularly the crypto casinos as it's design to cater anonymous gambling. The laws are not necessary anymore, what's necessary is that the parents will be able to guide their kids to prevent from accessing gambling sites, so if these kids could still gamble, they can't blame the government and the casino, but their parents.
2878  Economy / Economics / Re: Fixed amount vs. infinite coins on: August 17, 2020, 01:57:44 PM
I'll go for fixed amount, the problem of bitcoin on why it's not stable is not because of the supply, but because we are still in the process of massive or real adoption where investors are still the one dictating the price movement, once there's a massive adoption, things will eventually change.

Imagine, 1 satoshi is equal to 1 usd, I guess the supply is more than enough to cater everyone who wants to use bitcoin as a payment system, but transactions should not go directly in the blockchain, a 3rd party project (payment processor) is important to make transactions faster and cheaper.
2879  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TRON 4.0 vs ETH 2.0 on: August 17, 2020, 01:35:20 PM
Never heard of TRON 4.0 yet, I think people now are more interested on the ETH 2.0, and if this will be successful, that TRON 4.0 might be appreciated by investors as eventually the market will be bullish especially the altcoins. There's no specific date on the launch of ETH 2.0 yet, but look at how progressive ETH's price, it has almost reach $500 now and I guess if it reached at that level, the hype will continue and price will spike more from there.
2880  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How you can earn money from bitcointalk.org? on: August 17, 2020, 08:00:22 AM
I voted "To achieve knowledge about Bitcoin".

I joined the forum last April 18, 2016, and I have no idea about earning in the forum, my purpose was just to know more about crypto and to learn how to gamble using bitcoin, that was the main purpose that time. However, I'm thankful that I have discovered a lot of earning opportunity in this forum or through this forum, so I am here staying because I love the community here and I have high respect on them.

I would say that bitcoin changes my life, and I owe that in this forum as it helps me discover a lot of earning opportunity that I never imagine before I joined the forum.
