Some good games are happening today in the Dota 2 dream league. First of is Chicken Fighters vs. Level UP. Chicken fighters are the slight favorites here according to the odds but the game should be pretty open. Then in the evening there are 2 games that have 3 of the best dota teams involved with Alliances vs. Hellbear Smashers. Here Alliance is the clear favorite and should be a safe bet. The other game is OG vs. Nigma, here OG is the slight favorite, but i think everything can happen in this match also. It all depends on OG if they are doing crazy things in the draft and during the game or if they play serious and more conventional.

Worried about missing out on valuable moments to profit from short-term trades in easily-pumped altcoins.
Many people say short-term trading is too time-consuming, and it turns out to be true
How to deal with a situation like this, can you guys give me suggestions and input?

Try not to think about this stuff all the time or otherwise you will get crazy and burnt out pretty soon. The crypto space is full of opportunities where some people managed to make a huge amount of money within days but that only happens to few people in here and at least the same amount loses that money when they buy into hyped projects like all those meme-coins that are currently emergin a few days to late. So yes it always hurts when you read that someone made 100k USD out of 10 USD because he was an early investor into shiba-inu or safemoon or just like that, but you will get used to it and won't care about that anymore after a certain time.
2883  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Burning of cryptocurrency on: May 14, 2021, 10:01:42 PM
Hello guys,
I have recently come to know about cryptocurrency. It is amazing, how these digital currency eill revolutionise this world.
Since, I am following alot of coins. I have listen about burning of cryptocurrency. I am a little bit confused what does burning mean, I will be thankful if anybody explain this.
And I have seen major percentage of coins hold by this address 0x000000000000000000000000000000000000dead.
To whom this address belong? Is there anyone have access of this address ?

Burning coins means that the coins or tokens will be sent to a burn address like the one you have metioned in your post. The important thing is that no one has the private key to this addresses which means once the tokens are sent to one of those addresses then the tokens are destroyed or "burned" and there is no way to ever get them back which decreases the circulating supply of the token and therefore increases the value of the remaining tokens. So normally it is a good thing if a project has a burning mechanism included in his tokenomics as it is usually very benifitial for every long time holder of that coin.
2884  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if Elon musk launches his own coin? on: May 14, 2021, 09:50:07 PM
The name and personality of Elon musk has been trending lately, for good and bad reasons. Some blame him for the recent down in price of btc with his recent tweet, some suspect that he has a plan to manipulate the market to the favour of doge coin which he has recently been a strong advocate for.

What if Elon musk takes this opportunity of popularity and influence to start and launch his own coin to the market?

Do you think an altcoin created by Elon musk will do well in the market?

I am pretty sure if Elon musk himself would announce a crypto project that it would be a great success. I mean just look at all those meme-coins that are dominating the market in the last few weeks all of them are basically copies of dogecoin and dogecoin itself only raised in price and importance because of the tweets of elon musk. That being said, i don't really like that musk is kinda playing with the crypto market. First the tweets about dogecoin, then tesla accepts bitcoin, then in the last week he says on SNL that dogecoin is just a hustle which let the price dump and two days ago tesla announced that it will not accept bitcoin as payment anymore. It would be better if he just remains silent in my opinion.
2885  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: May 14, 2021, 12:19:42 PM
Nadal and Zverev ongoing right now, Nadal takes the first set 6-3.

But Zverev is fighting on the second set and so far they are holding serve. Zverev need to win the second set to at least extend it to the decider. So let's see, for sure this second set with be very good and could go into a tie breaker.

The second set was very close. Zverev just had break points when nadal served for the match but he could not use them sadly. I would have really liked to see a third set in this match. So the revenge of nadal against zverev was successful after he got eliminated by him in his home tournament in madrid. The upcoming match of djokovic vs tsitsipas should also be a very close one where i don't really know who will advance into the next round. In the other game rublev should be the favorite against sonego but the italian played a great match yesterday and managed to eliminate Thiem which was also a big surprise to me.
2886  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New meme coins 😂😂😂 on: May 14, 2021, 10:52:31 AM
Doge coin and shiba coin have opened door for weak devs who are just waiting for new opportunities to grab more money the easiest way possible, am I the only one seeing new incoming meme coins this days? I mean I don't want to mention names but they are growing in numbers 🤣🤣🤣🤣 want some advice? Be careful where you put your money meme coins are simply meme coins no more no less

It is true that those meme-coins are only for people that are very actively day-trading. I am a hodler therefore i skip those meme-coins totally as 99% of them will be completely dead in a few months. It is crazy though if you look at the dextools hot pairs for example and the majority of those projects are meme-coins with no use-case at all. It is so crazy to me that so many people are aping into this projects, i mean don't get me wrong people who invested early in one of those meme-coins that get hyped could have made 100k $ out of 10$ or maybe even more, but i am pretty sure that if you buy in now it is to late.
2887  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I swap my BTC to altcoins and hold for better benefits? on: May 13, 2021, 09:10:02 PM
Hey all,
We all see that the BTC price is sideway from 50k to 58k for few months now and it seem can't break up the 60k barrier.  My portfolio is about 90% in BTC and I feel very depressed to see other altcoins prices are increasing very high in the last few months while the BTC price is stuck at the 5xk ranges.  It is said that now most traders and retail investors are only interested in buying/trading altcoins, especially meme, animal coins because they can make much more profits comparing to buying BTC. Some of my friends have x10, x20 their portfolio just 3 months after entered the crypto market. I joined the crypto market since 2016 but can't make as much money as they do for just few months.
They tell me to swap my BTC to other altcoins and hold them for much better profits. I'm still struggling to make my decision to sell my BTC for altcoins (I prefer ETH, ADA, SOL, ETC).
Do you think I should do that?
Thanks.

If i were you i would definitely stay away from those meme-coins. The whole hype around them started a few weeks ago and is already dying out again in my opinion and within the next few weeks and months 99% of those meme-projects will be dead. If you would invest in those meme-coins now i think a total loss of that money is very much possible. To have a high percentage of BTC in a crypto portfolio is good in my opinion as it is usually the most stable coin of them all and also does not drop as hard in a bear market as most altcoins. You could change your portfolio a little though if you want and make it like 70% BTC, 20% in established altcoins like BNB, Dot, ETH and so on and the other 10% into more risky projects.
2888  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casinos: Internal notifications, message inbox vs Email. on: May 13, 2021, 09:00:00 PM

You think that internal notifications should have notifications via email?

An optimal solution that some online casinos are already using is that their users can choose which type of messages they want to receive. The best way to do this in my opinion is that when you are registering on the site that it asks you there if you want to receive general newsletters to your e-mail box or not. Important notifications that concern your balance on the site, a possible investigation of your account, a successful deposit or withdraw to or from the casino and other stuff that is about your money should always be sent to your personal e-mail address also and not only via internal messages because some players including do a little gambling for a few days and then don't log in to any online casino for a few weeks.
2889  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: May 13, 2021, 11:49:17 AM

I also think that Tsitisipas will win against Berrettini. Probably close by I think Tsitsipas will cover 2-0 spread here and so is Zverev vs Ken Nishikori.

You were right with tsitsipas winning 2-0 in sets against berrettini and to be honest i would not ave predicted that as berrettini performed so well in the last clay tournament in madrid where he reached the final against zverev. Good prediction from you. The upcoming matches of today should be pretty safe wins for nadal (vs. shapovalov), Zverev (vs. Nishikori) and Thiem (vs. Sonego). The match between bautista augut vs rublew is by far the closest one of this day at least on paper. For me rublev is the slight favorite here.
2890  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: End of memecoin season by Vitalik Buterin or not? on: May 13, 2021, 11:36:42 AM
I really hope this is the end of the meme-coin season because the last few days and weeks were completely crazy and when you took a look at the dextools hot pair at least 6 out of 10 were some stupid meme-coins. I don't begrudge anyone who made a lot of money with these projects but I think that this flood of meme tokens is hurting the crypto market as a whole. Cryptos were just about to be taken seriously by the traditional financial market and that meme-coin hype was definitely a set-back in that regard. 99% of those meme-projects that emerged in the last weeks will be completely dead in a month or two.

psg and bayern munich interested in Eduardo Camavinga from stade rennais

Quote
"I would lie if I wasn't excited about it," Camavinga said to TF1 when asked about those two clubs being interested in his services. "It is nice when two big clubs are interested. But it isn't the time to focus on that."
https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/psg-have-meeting-with-camavinga-fee-below-market-value-possible/view/news/385046

I doubt that bayern is really interested in camavinga. FC bayern president herbert hainer said a few days ago that bayern is not planning to make any more big transfers before the next season. They already signed upamecano for more than 40 M€ and their new coach nagelsmann did cost them also more than 20M€. Camavingas market value is 60M€ so i doubt that he can leave stade rennes for a sum that is below 40M€ and that would be another big transfer for bayern. Of course, it could also be a tactic by Bayern and in the end they still make big transfers.
2892  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Gas fee issue on: May 12, 2021, 09:10:27 PM
Hi, I'm totally new in crypto. I just purchased $60 USDT (Erc-20) in my Coinbase wallet. I wish to trade or swap it. But, when I am trying to do it that's the time it shows that "I don't have enough Ethereum for Gas fee". Please help me and let me know is there any option to do it without Gas fee?

USDT is an ERC-20 token which means you need to have Ethereum and your wallet too to be able to transfer it. For every transaction you are sending on the Ethereum Network you need to pay some Ethereum as payment for the transaction fee. At the moment the ethereum network is under very high traffic which means you have to pay ETH worth 30$ or more for a ERC-20 transaction and even 100$ or more for a swap on uniswap. So you should wait for the gas price to go down again before you are sending or swapping your 60 USDT because the fee costs would be higher than the actual transaction.

Jerome Boateng (bayern munich) has several options to play for another club next season...

Quote
But Spurs and MLS are not the only interested parties. On Tuesday, Bild confirmed a report by France Football that Boateng's former coach Niko Kovac is interested in bringing the defender to AS Monaco. Kovac hopes that Boateng could add some depth and experience to a youthful defense that is set to lose Benoît Badiashile this summer. Boateng is expected to ask for a three-year contract that is significantly below his €12 million Bayern Munich salary.
https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jerome-boateng-linked-with-monaco-and-tottenham-mls-another-option-/view/news/384980

Jerome Boateng could be a good choice for Monaco. He could definitely help their defense line to be strengthened more. Boateng is 32 years old now and it is still a good age for a defender.

It will be interesting to see if boateng really is considering to go to monaco and kovac next season. I always thought that the relationship between the players and nico kovac was pretty bad during the end of his time at bayern munich. So i don't really think that boateng is so eager to go to monaco. I also read that Chelsea and Juventus are interested in Boateng which i think is more likely because he is still one of the best defenders in the world when he is fit and with 32 he is not even that old so he can still help any team in the world with his experience and his great long passes.
2894  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Internet Computer (ICP) - what's that? on: May 12, 2021, 10:15:29 AM
There is a new coin listed in CMC which immediately went up to the 8th position within just one day.

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/internet-computer/

The main company behind this coin is dfinity. Org. Which seems to be another coin with smart contract capability with great scaling opportunity. I mean we have many other coins of Similar sort.

What's special about this one?

It's a pretty big project that raised a lot of money back in 2017 or 2018 i think then it was silent for a long time until a few months ago. Also there was a airdrop of this coin back in 2018 where you had to pay the KYC-fee for the airdorp yourself (around 9$ in ETH) then you would get 28 ICP for that. Some users even got 119 ICP if they were in their telegram channel early. A small percentage (<10%) of this airdrop and i guess also of the coins of the sale are now unlocked and the project is just so big and hyped that the big exchanges immediately listed it.
2895  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Kentucky Derby Winner fails drug test on: May 11, 2021, 07:21:10 PM
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/horse-racing/57049450

I came across this interesting story added to the BBC today, where the winner of the most recent Kentucky Derby (held on the 1st of May this year) was found to have illegal quantities of a drug in it's system:

I am not really surprised that there is doping going on in horse-racing too i mean if humans can improve their performance by illegal drugs than of course that stuff should have an effect on animals too. I feel sorry for the horses though as they have no choice and don't get asked if they want to get doped.
The kentucky derby is one of the most important and prestigeous horse races in the us and even worldwide so a doping scandal like that is probably the worst thing that can happen in a noble sport like this. I don't really know how strict and advanced the anti doping measure in horse racing are but i really hope they get increased now after this scandal.
2896  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hoping to see a bitcointalk token sooner on: May 11, 2021, 07:13:47 PM
This is the birthplace of crypto and many people learnt alot from here. is it not fair for this platform to get a token that can be traded in the market. other content management platform has then own crypto that are been traded and use as a means of rewards to their users.
please don't say bitcoin. currently, not everyone can afford bitcoin now. we need an altcoin as an alternative token here for payment of service.

If bitcointalk creates a token than those token also needs to have a sort of utility otherwise it will not get any adoption or trading volumen. One utility could be that stuff like copper membership can only be bought with that new token but i don't see that as a big advantage over the current method where you pay with btc. On the other hand there are so many tokens out there that have no real usecase and utility and still have a high marketcap but i still feel that a bitcointalk token is not really neccessary.
2897  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Man lost £20,000 in one night after becoming addicted to online gambling! on: May 11, 2021, 12:21:28 PM

After becoming addicted to online casino games in March last year, he lost £40,000 in the space of a month, losing half of that in just one night.

After losing that money too, he found himself in massive debt, and contemplated taking his own life.
https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/man-lost-20000-one-night-24067466

I don't know why they are caught up in this moment but I think people know the risks yet they still try. Was it appropriate for him to call the gambling firm wrong or he was right? (See the last part of the article or better read the 3 mins. article instead)

Gambling and especially online gambling can be very dangerous. Everyone knows that but stories like this one illustrate this even more. I also think that some people are much more prone to addiction than others may it be smoking, alcohol or online gambling. So if you know of yourself that you are very easily get addicted to things you should never begin gambling at all. And for everyone else, you have to be very responsible and stick to both your budget and your gambling time.

A friend of mine contacted me and said her .5 eth left her wallet and it looks like the wallet above got it, but I am not sure why? Did they scam her somehow?

https://etherscan.io/address/0xa7a655CeB2dc36Cf987647357CC8AF1c30e5828c

Either your friend sent the ETH there by mistake or she was a victim of phishing sites or stuff like that. You can see that the ETH left the wallet only 2 hours after they have been sent to it so either the hacker got access to the wallet then or he had access before and was watching the transactions closely and waited until a significant amount of money was on it. Looking at the wallet the ETH were sent to it looks like an average users wallet. It has a lot of ETH on it and some meme-coins. So he is not trying to send the ETH around to other wallets now to make them untraceable.
2899  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: May 11, 2021, 10:21:47 AM
Some good matches are coming up today with players like djokovic, schwartzmann, goffin, berrettini and medwedew. It is sad to see that dimitrov is already out again of this tournament as he is one of the players i enjoy to watch the most because he is playing this elegant one-handed backhand. It will be also interesting to see how well berrettini is performing later today. He played the final against Zverev in Madrid but must now play 1 day earlier than zverev again. It would be good for the italians if he would advance to the next round as fognini already got eliminated yesterday.
2900  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 0.05 Ether tx fee, is ethereum going mad? on: May 11, 2021, 10:10:50 AM
Personally, I think it's not too important, just the game is still not ready for the masses and not everyone will accept such fees for their transactions. You can just wait until the gas is low or you will have to accept metrics for your transactions.
No one in the masses will accept to pay this high gas fees, transactions with Ethereum now are for the rich people alone, cause the average man in the society won't accept to pay $20+ just to carry out one transaction, the current eth isn't ready for everyone to use, maybe the ETH 2.0 will be okay, but who knows till then.

I have been watching a project over the last few weeks that I find very interesting and wanted to invest in as soon as it was listed on uniswap. I planned to invest like 300 or 400 $. Well yesterday was the listing and with this high gas prices i would have to pay 100-150$ for that uniswap trade. That is absolutely ridiculous and i now have to wait until gas fees are going down again like they were in the last 2 weeks, i really thought that the days of extremely high gas fees would be over but that spike of ETH to over 4k$ created a lot of network traffic again i guess.
