2881  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin price is falling? on: June 10, 2022, 05:24:06 AM
Dollar is rising, simple answer to the question might be the best you will get.   Its never exactly that simple but BTC tends to rise on cycles up and down and it lost quite alot of momentum when price made a new high but could not follow through on that.   Thats helped aided the trend to sell, tends to be the case with speculative price action it will reverse back out but overall BTC has a longer trend and its still positive.
Dollar value is still falling overall again long term so I dont see its all much of a threat, waves break and they recede thats a timeless action you can say will always happen.
2882  Economy / Speculation / Re: One more leg down on: June 09, 2022, 11:39:34 PM
What makes you guys think we can go below the last ATH of 20k? This has never happened in the history of Bitcoin.

Thats not an unreasonable take but there are no absolute limits to price action and quite simply not every price, every day or week is accurate sometimes its noise.     There are outside outlier prices recorded on low volume amounts and generally this action is discarded automatically as insignificant, on some days of the year there is so much fear and upset the erratic prices will register with enough volume to show as normal.   Thats when we can get a bullish pin, a sharp spike down that recovers.   We can trade below 20k, does it matter beyond that day is more of a question.
I do wonder about this prior 2017 high because it was cast in the midst of a transaction backlog, the liquidity from real users was reduced.  I wont be as worried as normal if we do need to test beyond 200 week or even 2019 highs despite appearing to be especially extreme.   As always its going to be hard to judge calmly in the noise if this should occur.

If dollar were ever to fall off its perch and its appearing nothing close to that right now, but if that was happening all prices would become unreliable at that time.   Great opportunity and chaos really, it would be destructive but market upset or disorderly markets rely more on personal judgement and attributable worth people can ascertain, do not make the mistake of believing every story broadcast to be perfectly founded or every price correct beyond that short term moment.

2884  Economy / Speculation / Re: It goes same way people never learn btc 30k on: June 09, 2022, 09:32:15 PM
Some learn, most dont would be more accurate.  The market repeats itself alot, maybe the majority of trades are done for speculative reasons, borrowed money flows within the market and people buy knowing they have no choice to sell later so its just a bet in effect.   Thats the reason we tend to go in circles or cycles and guessing if we are finally positive or negative in conclusion is the wider call.

Right now we had some bearish news event and DXY or dollar index is rising back up again, dramatically so.  It certainly seems like it would effect matters but BTC is relatively untouched for today at least, main markets have pulled back quite alot in reaction.

Also placed some sats on my favorite Lewis Hamilton with 19.47 outcome odds. We'll see how it goes.

I placed some on Lewis because he is a great talent and experience with the career span of many in sports extending past previous generations so I dont doubt him personally.   I dont know his car will be the competitive or in a dominant place it was last year.   With these high odds, many doubt him but he is the type that can win from the back of the grid in some circumstance only a few can claim to be that able.
2886  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever thought of doing your thesis on Gambling ? on: June 09, 2022, 08:26:45 PM
I think gambling will be connected with the study of sociology, economics, and law

The most universally relevant subject to study would be the probability branch of mathematics and in this its highly applicable for the pure numbers side to a game even minus a person you can 'autopilot' out the trajectory of most games.    Sociology or psychology I think would be more relevant there as to what motivates people in terms of playing vs knowing it is a business with a cost to it.  You could theorize the flight fight response and how this raises adrenaline levels and could be linked to gambling.   Like alot of high energy sports there is a large amount of risk and competetive element in there that we as humans are motivated to take part in from our heritage as hunter gatherers.
Economics I find only relevant via gambling as an instrument of taxation in an economy.  Law because gambling is often restricted is relevant from that sideline.
2887  Economy / Speculation / Re: Impact of the June Interest Rate Adjustment on the Bitcoin Price on: June 09, 2022, 07:46:18 PM
Its not an actual effect, its a perception or speculative alteration of sentiment.   The Federal reserve cannot raise interest rates above inflation, they can only make noises to reduce the dilution of the US dollar.   Whatever they do its like clapping your hands at an errant bear, sometimes it works but the FED isnt in control thats delusional imo.  Its still going to be true that 2023 the US dollar declines at some rate of decay in its value, within ten years its easily possible to say the value will have halved which is quite incredible.
Because its gradual people are accustomed to always losing money they have earnt, I guess I would relate it to propaganda we accept it as normal when its not correct for your earnings to removed from your wallet afterwards its kinda ridiculous.    BTC is effected by negative sentiment right now but the Dollar itself is on the same negative gradient its had for decades so I only see trading themes.

Market news is always expected vs actual, surprise downside or upside.   +50 basis pts will be normal I think
2888  Economy / Speculation / Re: Would you be willing to support anyone who gives the most accurate predictions? on: June 09, 2022, 07:12:33 PM
I already do pay people to manage funds but thats mainstream main market dealing of normal stocks and commodities.   For crypto I think its far more volatile and disruptive as its still the wild west compared to the main economy which has been there for centuries.      Theres always the chance I take some fund where the manager decides to hold crypto, thats his choice vs regulation and all the other factors but I trade my own crypto and I also bet it when I want, I dont need a manager really.
It might be more relevant to high worth people who have a company registered that can handle this all, companies can back date losses (vs tax) across six years and this is advantageous but me as a sole person nope.

Stanislaw world class IGL playing at the moment for a team called Bhop, how the great have fallen.    On the basis he does have alot of experience I put down 3 maps vs Bad news bears.

Another one Complexity are in theory not a bad team, ranked 24 over their opponents in Dubai tomorrow; OG ranked over 30.  However the odds are close to 4 to 1 for Col to win because they have been crash and burn in most recent games.   Can they come back in the heat ?  I'll go with 2-1 OG win just for fun
& a multi all the favorites to win Dubai Thurs

A smooth win for ENCE yesterday, i'll go for NiP -1.5 @ 1.69 as my next pick, they'll be facing Complexity in the lower bracket as these two teams lost their first game yesterday.

Complexity only got 4 rounds against MIBR which is a bit surprising since they're somewhat in the same level and NiP struggled against BIG as they're missing hampus but should get the job done given Complexity's abysmal performance so far.

ENCE are looking like the favorites to take it all this tournament

I would have guessed ENCE (World rank: #3) from the games I saw they were on top form but the result I see now is a collapse, what happened I missed it I was driving the whole day unfortunately.     I mean the best games are close and this was not close, it was a disaster with best of 5 and 2 out of the 3 maps played being ENCE picks but they fell off the edge of the map, only 3 rounds won on that last map Ancient.   They ran out of battery ?  Did they go drinking or something.
Hard to get inside peoples heads for what occurred, C9 perhaps just had kept their powder dry and counter strat hard.   I would have bet wrong by at least thinking more maps played, lucky escape.   Will have to investigate some, reminds me of an old bet I wiped out on where the game was delayed hours until past midnight & they lost bad as favorites

Why should it be fake, the price is not always the same everywhere.   Theres a New York price, theres a Europe price on a few different things because the market vary by time and location maybe risk premium in some countries; I know for sure the BTC price varies quite alot in some parts of the world.
Somebody is quite welcome to buy cheap and sell high if it benefits them, if theres a free ride of some kind thats not an unknown type of event.  Usually the gap closes because the oversupply condition stops existing or theres some risk to taking that trade, the cost and time of transferring the balance would be one.  If I have a balance both places and can immediately sell one buy the other, sounds ideal actually; I think it happens everyday in various markets.

I did a spread like that for month end, some results are more profitable then others.  Others might only mean break even or a small loss, beats an all out loss.

Wouldnt this site have the highest volume of FUN bought and sold because its the central hub and place people get the benefits for holding it.     Theres other prices but volume weighted its likely to center around most of the trade done here.  Its possible they just dont include other order books in the pricing here and rely on natural market arbitrage to bring other prices similar to this one.
2893  Economy / Economics / Re: Wheat War I is going to be World War III on: June 04, 2022, 11:57:22 PM
I dont know we have to be so specific to just wheat, I agree its an important market but my overall take is commodities are booming in this decade and probably beyond that.   The reasons are fairly clear, we have a large amount of the world population outside of the west emerging from multiple decades of decline namely China and India.  If the world has a requirement for growth in commodities because those two countries are becoming more developed not purely agrarian then the production of food will become more important.
I think agriculture and fertilizer production are two of those commodities, Russia doesnt have to invade another country but Ukraine is a natural competitor to them and with valuable assets such as their ports on the black sea.   Without transport via shipping Ukraine will require the alternative of 1 million truck loads to sell their grain, thats the scenario at present where Russia just retains their current captured land.     Its a war about money and power over assets yet again, the rest is an excuse for killing.

People in our country make compost with leaves and vegetable and fruits peel too.
This only needs a little effort and the results are amazing. Some people have great minds. They take care of the environment and they waste less stuff and use biodegradable items. Hence do good to the environment!

Food waste is recycled in quite a few countries now, it is a waste not to of course.  Any rubbish dump can become explosive for reasons related to that as gas naturally occurs from decomposition and accumulates until ignited.  I think India that happened recently, waste management is respected quite a few places now but still great improvements do need to be made.    Part of the commodity cycle is higher prices incentivizing the investment into recycling goods to be reused also

which buys at below market price, refines and sells

India has very few oil reserves like China, two of the worlds most populated countries but they do intend to have refining capability and have built alot of assets on that basis.   They need to process oil to justify the cost of those operations while having little oil and with elevated market prices probably not creating much opportunity.  They might fall in line later on but Im not sure if they are allied with Russia or not, seems they are not from last Ive read on it.   Pakistan changed leader after appearing to back Putin, the government dismissed the prime minster though that too is disputed no doubt.
2895  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: June 04, 2022, 08:09:24 PM
I was tempted by the 3 maps thing, I had already bet ENCE as they are clearly ahead of most teams currently (it was still very close).   Nuke is one of the best maps for ENCE and Snax, I thought Furia picked it but Vertigo was theirs and close loss so unlucky you nearly got 3 maps.   They got 3 Polish players presently, not sure Snax is restricted by some sanctions problem via his org or not but he is about the best stand in any team has integrated.  Snax said he is reminded of his old VP days, they were giant slayers so good omens Smiley  Yep think I will side with them for tomorrows game
2896  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [CHESS] World Championship 2021: Carlsen Vs. Nepomniachtchi on: June 04, 2022, 08:00:11 PM
about the end of your message, you refer to users who lose on purpose only to be able to beat lower rank users?
a bit lame if you ask my opinion but... who knows
dopamine kicks are quite strong with online chess, specially for fast games.

Happens in just about every competitive game I've come across.   Serious accounts to aim for high rank and then secondary accounts to 'warm up' where its often experienced players beating those new to the game or still learning etc.
I cant do the fast games, some people are ace at bullet chess just not something I've ever been good at.  Thats very popular for streaming I think.   I just given a diamond account on Chess.com to try out, presumably because I dont play alot they trying to get me back into it :p

The timing for this world championship was lucky for Ian despite the loss, I dont think they'd allow it to proceed with the current sanctions etc.
2897  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your fill the bag Bitcoin price? on: June 04, 2022, 07:46:41 PM
47k is only just above the yearly average, thats what makes it hard to label as totally wrong.  For that period of over a year now it was fairly reasonable, its impossible for us to judge whether it was correct for you as an induvial because it depends on your income, savings and various portfolio considerations.  I hope people dont buy too much within just one year for this reason, we can see years the price is not the best value and its fine if you didnt want that back for at least five years you are probably fine but avoid over extending yourself ever really.

Fill your bags suggests too much of a gamble but the market collectively will swing over to a buy at certain points, the being like an old fashioned measuring scales its a careful balance and at the lowest prices the sellers will dry up as nobody considers it a reasonable price.    Then we have buyers in control and market launches itself on another bullish period for however long.
BTC moves so fast upwards its hard to call out, I do think we spend this whole year in reappraisal of previous price action.   Its not nearly so negative as it appears, we just fell out of the sunlight and it feels colder now but nothing much drastically changed from what I've seen.

If OP wants a quick rough measure, 50 day average marks the bedrock of a medium term good bullish move.   When above the 50 day average market regularly finds itself positively resolving upwards.  When 2021 start we lost that, it was tested and marked the highs then we went lower.  Probably now also its reasonable to watch, 50 day average is a good target upside and till its become the ground we walk on presume market remains challenged and not bullish medium term.
2898  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: June 04, 2022, 06:35:19 PM
I saw Belgium ranked #1 on a rankings site, is that correct ?  I see they had some success but I presume forthcoming games will correct these rankings quite alot.  The odds favor Netherlands over Belgium in their next game which is  what I would guess also but with Netherlands ranked 10 maybe these arent so accurate at the moment.
Heat could be a major factor in this next world cup, the experience and familiarity of players ability to adapt to different circumstances could determine games.

Impressive the dude just had his birthday & a few years away from 40,  most will fail vs torn ligaments or any number of non recoverable injuries possible and somehow the dude is at the top regularly remaining flawless.   I know Feder already broke many records so maybe sports technology made these dudes bionic or medicine has advanced to repair or understand injuries better, very impressive.

If the match ends in a draw, Draw will be the winning bet.
I went Netherlands vs Belgium.    Someone update me is a draw actually possible under the current rules, final outcome that cant happen right.   Im not that tempted to go that way, even though I generally dislike the concept of overtime to decide a match, penalties especially feel silly end to a match to a worldcup even.

Not necessarily new, we've had propriety art that was tokenized with some randomized elements and it was possible to bet on the outcome of esports games.  That would be something like Valve operated for CSGO skins or other in game items have effectively been similar to that.  Thats a centralized system and its heavily restricted now from gambling with 3rd parties but its not a totally new idea.   Could be very popular so long as the demand is there
