NFT trend will die faster than the DeFi trend. It is simply a greed trend and worse than DeFi trend. Day after day, I see new cryptocurrencies whose underlying blockchain networks have smart contract features. We already have Ethereum, Cardano, EOS, Binance Coin, Flow, Tron, Polkadot, and many other cryptocurrencies with smart contract functionalities. Sometimes I think we have too many smart contract platforms that would bring no real use cases in the mainstream world.
The causes are not smart contracts or the core or back-bone platforms. Projects need to have creative ideas that can solve real problems in society. Like start ups, crypto companies can not succeed if they repeat what previous projects do and solve. In crypto ecosystem, many projects are clones, copies of others and no new idea, no new solution. It is why in each branch, the pioneers get biggest success. Ethereum for smart contract, Dogecoin for meme, Uniswap for DeFi. Instead of creating a new smart contract platform, developers should focus on building within existing platforms to make crypto land a better place. Yet, developers' mindset is to make large profits in the least time possible by creating a new blockchain network from scratch.
Creating a new blockchain with new technology is great but not mandatory. Blockchain is tool to solve demands and unsolved problems in society. |

Biggest gains will be followed by loses. If you are new in crypto, you will end like this. When you get big gains, you will be come less careful or totally careless, and losses wait for your carelessness to find you. I admit that I end like this many times.  I don't tell on behalf of all newbies but my advice is: Exit the market after you have big gains. Take a vacation for a while, two weeks in minimum and come back. You will see something: the market can change with correction or change its trend. Most important, your minds will become fresh and your carefulness won't be lost because of big gains. |

If they get rid of the hope that Dogecoin will claim $0.7 again, and buy dips then take profits, they will be able to end their investment or trade with a draw or small loss. Hold Dogecoin and hope for the reclaim of all time high is unrealistic. I will choose the easier strategy, buy dip and take profit. Do it many times and equalize my temp loss with a draw. Bitcoin is a store of value besides the speculative value but it does not replace any asset from gold, bond, etc. They will co-exist on Earth. People who don't understand it or over optimistic about Bitcoin, would say Bitcoin will take over fiat currencies, gold, bond, etc. and become a universal payment method. It won't reach to a time like this, personally. Bitcoin adoption will rise more and more people will own then use Bitcoin or even Lightning network for transactions but Bitcoin is Bitcoin and it does not kill any other assets. |

True, I don't agree that Polygon(Matic) compares to Ethereum. Ethereum is extremely far from Polygon(Matic), as we all know Polygon is later 2 sidechain on Ethereum, so it's useless to compare it.
If there is no Ethereum, 100% there is no Polygon(Matic) now.
The same goes for Lightning network and Bitcoin network. Without Bitcoin network, which basement Lightning Network will work on? Polygon (MATIC) is upgrade to be a layer-2 scaling solution on Ethereum. Polygon is as a derivative and support for Ethereum but it can not be better than Ethereum or replace Ethereum. It is difficult to compare Bitcoin network and Lightning network then make judgement which one is better. |
