I think the vice president spoke very well on this one, but if the government want to regulate anything against crime, then in Nigeria they are far many other things to regulate that will be effectively regulated than crypto-currency, they can regulate the incoming of foreign currency in and out of the country, which has been how Cyber crimes in Nigeria collect payment, crypto-currency is now an alternative for them, but Nigerian government should start from the scratch to regulating crimes.

Don't lose hope. From what I've heard, it's only the Central Bank of Nigeria who is against Bitcoin but their SEC is actually willing to adopt cryptocurrency. Who knows, maybe one of this days the government will actually try to do something about this that banks can't go against. It's unlikely but I'm sure the people of Nigeria wouldn't just let cryptocurrency go.
I can say it's all a propaganda, I can't believe that only the central bank made the decision to ban crypto-currency in Nigeria, they way it is, the decision was conceived with alliances from the Central Bank and Nigerian politician at a time to frustrate Nigeria youth and crypto-currency users, as now I don't care if the make any decisions to overturn it, luckily enough crypto-currency can't be held back by government. |

It's really won't be easy if the person you are using Bitcoin as collateral is nimble with Bitcoin, the loaner would require the bitcoin of that amount as same as when you want to repay it, let's say it's 0.05BTC then if Bitcoin increase in dollars that's an increase in the collateral because you would repay same 0.05BTC and the value is different from when agreement, this is also a Gamble but who ever does this is a believes the future is Bitcoin because Bitcoin can also reduce in value.

Now start to steal or scam people in Nigeria and people are faster in learning easy money scams than the legit one, I think Nigerians should let their brains received this message. Using peer2peer it's has advantages and where exchanges are better than it.
