2881  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I was tempted to sell off altcoin on: February 25, 2022, 09:00:14 PM
The market is either bullish or bearish, I ask myself, why do people panic when the later occurs and Jubilate when it gets bullish. The people who understands cryptocurrency market utilize the bearish time because it'll get bullish soon and everyone gets happy again. That's why some win on cryptocurrency market while the others feel like it's not for them. OP, some coins like BCH was not hit so hard. Consider such kind of coins they'll be a better substitute.

Some of the articles I read

You seem to have missed the spot-on resource for this: How to lose your Bitcoins with CTRL-C CTRL-V
All in all, as usual, the best protection is you: check thoroughly if the copied address and the pasted address are indeed identical. As simple as that.

Thank you for sharing. The thread summarized it all and I got the idea I need like the Don't use Windows aspect of it. Windows have a lot of loopholes that makes it easier for attackers to get hold of people's computer. I'll just have to abide by the instructions.
2883  Other / Beginners & Help / How can I get over clip board malware attack? on: February 25, 2022, 12:27:22 PM
Hello, everyone, I think the malware attack is getting rampant and would want to know a better means of absenting myself from being a victim. Regarding some articles I've read about clipboard manager and how so many other Malwares except the clipboard malware attack still access the clipboard if a user opens an Email attachment, it's relevant to know some security measures. These malwares are turned into APP and gets hosted on a remote server which people can download without knowing that it contains a malware.

Looking at the characters of an Address it'll be difficult to memorize and the only option is to copy to the clipboard. My question is if they are other means of getting around this attack except crosschecking the address before sending. Because, sometimes I'm not perfect I'll just send my funds out to the address without crosschecking like everyone else who has something to attend immediately.

Some of the articles I read, include

https://github.com/grepx/android-clipboard-security

He said something about launching the attack and the codes he provided look pretty simple to grasp, showing that the clipboard attack will explode soon on the internet. Especially on Android OS

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/wdsi/threats/threat-search?query=clipboard

Microsoft listed some other Malwares used by attackers to access information on the computer including the Clipboard manager.

MSDN
 Gave out some useful codes that'll help one read or write on a Clipboard using Virtual Basics.
2884  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The mistake I see so many people make with local wallets on: February 25, 2022, 10:28:13 AM
It's a huge development here and many people are victims of this clipboard malware attack used by scammers to phish money into their wallet. And the attack can be successful without downloading cracked apps even, some pix editing apps can be vulnerable to the attack. The best thing to do is to cross check the address they want to send money into before sending and also search their phones if they are apps they don't use anymore and uninstall it. Because the clipboard malware can easily take permission from such apps without being suspicious.
2885  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to calculate Gross gaming revenue for online casino on: February 24, 2022, 10:55:08 PM
>>><<<

I think there is something mixing from your explanation. You used only fiat to do a calculation and I wonder if the same 15% tax is applicable when you want to calculate the gross gaming revenue in bitcoin.
Let says for example A casino A has a total number of 100 BTC as GGR, is the company going to pay the same 15% for tas you specify on share stake? You know there is a specified percentage of Tax a liquid crypto earner is supposed to pay to internal revenue service.
I'm interested in how companies that accept crypto deposits pay their tax, maybe it's the same way they do with fiat they do to cryptocurrency, I couldn't find tax on casino in most of the crypto tax books I have seen.

I still think your examples were not well simplified as they should be.

NGR is the only way to determine how much the Casino will pay in Tax. Companies that accept bitcoin paying taxes in bitcoin is not logical because they still have to change to fiat so that they'll be able to pay their tax unless they are in a state where people can pay their tax through Bitcoin. Provided that the tax percentage is specified then NGR is the formula to solve and get the result.
2886  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto prices are starting to strengthen again on: February 24, 2022, 08:40:45 PM
The market cannot be predicted we can't for sure determine why the price is moving a little bit up and speedy while bearish. During the Covid time the price was not that affected and it was word wide pandemic and bitcoin did not only survive but it reached ATH. So the market price climbing again doesn't mean it won't fall again or continue rising because of the recent actions happening between Russia and Ukraine. Traders and investors should be observant of the price movement to determine when to sell or not.
2887  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: whats your opinion ? on: February 24, 2022, 07:36:37 PM
Take a grasp on ethereum if you feel that the coin may not pump again. Currently the market is bearish including bitcoin, so it's not advisable to invest in Altcoins that have not proven strong in price fluctuation (it falls back to ATH alongside bitcoin) like Ethereum to traders. What matters is that you now own a portion of the coin and it's left for you to decide how to utilize it. But, for spending the remaining funds. Try ETH.
2888  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is one but has many attributes on: February 24, 2022, 07:28:40 PM
Bitcoin is a digital currency to everyone but, it's not proper to stop there when having a conversion with somebody about bitcoin since they are other characteristics or attributes of bitcoin to discuss. This is where the different perspective creeps in which then varies according to the person's profession or position in life and their other thoughts about bitcoin. However, digital currency is the primary definition.
2889  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin price goes down as Russia begins Ukraine invasion on: February 24, 2022, 09:11:41 AM
The price of bitcoin is falling and Gold spiked by 1.5% according to Peter Schiff's tweet. But, looking at bitcoin as a safe haven whereby people throw fortunes into bitcoin so that they can flee their country in times like this without having to pass through any stress whatsoever regarding loads of money, gold or properties. They can access their bitcoin in any county. I think reverse should be the case, it's just the beginning and market change is rapid this year. So people should no panic and keep hodling because soon people will invest into bitcoin to save their properties and wealth.
2890  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Need advice for a token before mass buying please on: February 24, 2022, 02:49:45 AM
Op they are possibilities that these guys can disappear one day with people's investment. A lot of this happen on Telegram and discord groups without any Trace of them. What matters is the existence of this project. Have you checked how many years they've been in the space. And if they have their own blockchain Just don't invest into it. The reviews about this token on this thread is bad already look around for other promising tokens and invest your money.  Cryptocurrency is too risky to play around with untrustworthy project.
2891  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum's Update from PoW to PoS? on: February 23, 2022, 03:08:39 PM
POS is moving against the rule of mining that made mining for people with mathematical knowledge and controls some powerful tools that consumes a huge amount of electricity to mine but faces a threat the 51% threat. Anybody can be the validator of the network and will be able to create blocks and the block gets finalized if 2/3 confirms the block. I think the number of people that will donate 32 ETH to become a validator diverts the first purpose of mining that requires mathematicians over whales. So the network is not yet tested we still have to see how it'll play out for the Ethereum network.
2892  Economy / Speculation / Re: How to build a forecasting model using LTSM on: February 22, 2022, 12:38:11 PM
But, it can also be used to forecast bitcoin prices with the help of RNN (Recurrent Neural Network) if you follow the steps in this post you will gain the source code for predicting bitcoin Price which can then be implemented on the forecasting model.

No matter what model/algorithm you use, it's not reliable enough if all data you have is only past Bitcoin price. Without external data (such as sentiment about Bitcoin on twitter or latest news about Bitcoin), i expect people who use that model/algorithm could go bankrupt when something big happen (such as an exchange hacked and most funds stolen).

With the help of RNN the network can be predicted but it doesn't mean that the outcome will be correct at all time. The previous bitcoin price performance is the external data that will be used. However, RNN is compatible with speech and language or any sequential input. The bitcoin price can now be determined using the LSTM to keep track of the already saved prices inside the memory.
2893  Economy / Speculation / How to build a forecasting model using LSTM on: February 22, 2022, 12:19:14 PM
A forecasting model helps in the forecasting of prices or even sales in an organization or company. But, it can also be used to forecast bitcoin prices with the help of RNN (Recurrent Neural Network) if you follow the steps in this post you will gain the source code for predicting bitcoin Price which can then be implemented on the forecasting model.

But, this Model is general and not specifically meant for bitcoin price but the process is poison and the underlying process can be the prediction of the bitcoin price. So the aim is to be able to forecast values in poison process that has cyclic fluctuation in the underlying process. Poison process can be used to solve many mathematical problems in the blockchain Network. Since forecasting is based on determining DATA the model used by the Author is ARIMA and LTSM model which will help to forecast next actual data point.

Poison Modeling Using LSTM (Long Short Term Memory)

Code:
import math
import numpy
import matplotlib.pyplot as plt
from src.poisson import Poisson
from src.lstm import LSTM
from sklearn.metrics import mean_squared_error
%matplotlib inline
%autosave False

Example Of Poison Process

Code:
p = Poisson()
example, _ = p.generate(6)

plt.figure(figsize=(20,7))
plt.plot(example)

Result: [<matplotlib.lines.Line2D at 0x7feed62121d0>]

Train LSTM Model on a Larger Data set

Code:
t1, _ = p.generate(10000)
t2, _ = p.generate(10000,2)
train = t1 + t2
l = LSTM()
l.train(train, 6)

Apply the LSTM model to a new data set that is more varied

Code:
a1, _ = p.generate(4)
a2, _ = p.generate(2,2)
a3, _ = p.generate(4)
a4, _ = p.generate(1,2)
actual = numpy.concatenate((a1,a2,a3,a4))

pred = l.predict(actual)
#pred = [x-8.5 for x in pred]

Plot The Prediction

Code:
actual = actual[72:-1]
error = math.sqrt(mean_squared_error(pred, actual))

plt.figure(figsize=(20,7))
plt.title('RMSE: {:.2f}'.format(error))
plt.plot(actual)
plt.plot(pred)

Result: [<matplotlib.lines.Line2D at 0x7fef3f1acf50>]

Evaluate The Residual (The remaining values)
Code:
residual = []
for i in range(len(actual)):
    val = actual[i] - pred[i]
    residual.append(val)

plt.figure(figsize=(20,7))
plt.plot(residual)

Result: [<matplotlib.lines.Line2D at 0x7feed003f410>]

It's important to know that LSTM cannot function in all cases without a problem but, can be implemented on a less constrained data and it'll have lesser problems. While the ARIMA model performs better in forecasting data provided it remains compatible with the underlying process.

2894  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Words of advice on: February 20, 2022, 10:25:35 PM
Don't keep a huge amount of your coin on any exchange it looks like storing your luggages in a hotel while they got the keys to the room and feel that your belongings are safe. Same thing is applicable to cryptocurrency, exchanges feels safe but, anything can occur along the line and they will be nobody to meet for safety. If possible change the password to your wallet every week, that is if you feel cool about that. Secure your bank the way bankers do to the banking hall.
2895  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I lost +$ 20k in future, advice for newbies on: February 20, 2022, 10:11:50 PM
Well Op, they are things you shouldn't risk for cryptcocurrency, such as; your wife's happiness, shelter, and health. When next you want to future trade a hooping amount of money make sure every important aspect of your life is fixed. Even if the results plays out to be negative you'll have other things to fall back to. Now, you lost the house, coin and your wife's joy. The home will be unbearable for you, because you don't know how to explain to your wife about the sudden disappearance of the money you borrowed from the bank.

Failure doesn't determine the end, since you have lost so much on cryptocurrency trading, don't stop right there put in some time in learning from experts on how to trade. In this market time is crucial, trade your time first before the money. By doing so you'll have enough experience from what you've read and it'll serve as a guide towards any activity you want to make on an exchange. I'll urge you to explain everything to your wife, apologize to her and promise her that given time the money lost will be replenished. Let her see it as an investment and you'll find yourself coming back stronger and wiser to the market.

2896  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin recovery agent on: February 20, 2022, 09:43:44 PM
OP, it's a pity you lost such amount of bitcoin in USD, what actually happened what kind of transaction led to the scam. Please share on the thread so that other newbies can learn from your mistake. For the service you are seeking, I don't think they'll be any possible means of reversing your funds. The transaction has been confirmed multiple times on the blockchain.
2897  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Question on: February 20, 2022, 09:25:33 PM
They are others ways of making money out of steemit rather than writing, since the comments here can discourage you from using steemit I'll say that the other option for you is to sell steemit verified accounts, it's a good market if you know how to get around things. To get a verified steemit account is very difficult for some people and if it's impossible for you then try reselling the account from well known steemit account vendors. This way you can build a website for the service and start ranking on google. Given a few months or years you'll make more money compared to starting from scratch as a steemit writer.
2898  Economy / Services / Re: Cryptolottery.BET | Looking for promoters (affiliates) on: February 20, 2022, 09:12:48 PM
Your promotion method looks like a ponzi to me but,the payout is too good but will be difficult to achieve because getting people that will deposit $100 at a go is not simple and it'll require top notched information about the platform. I saw comments above asking about you and the site owner so that people who are getting referred to the site can get a handful of information before investing their money. People are very careful these days about sites with little or no review. Moreover, what's your offer for the SMM services I have interest on that. You can Send me a message on about it.
2899  Economy / Gambling discussion / How to calculate Gross gaming revenue for online casino on: February 20, 2022, 08:58:22 PM
Recently, I checked out some key point indicators in the online casino. First, I thought some game providers get their share via percentage of spin a player makes but, today after a brief research I found the formula for Gross gaming revenue used to determine how game providers earn from the activities of players.

Formula

GGR= A – B

A - Is the total amount of all bets placed by players
B - The sum of all payments made to players

E.g:

At the end of 2021 stake casino players made bets on $4,000,000 and won $1,500,000.

To calculate the GGR

A= $4,000,000
B= $1,500,000

GGR = $4,000,000 - 1,500,000 = $2,500,000

Task

Solve for NGR (Net Gross Revenue) if the total amount of bonus shared on stake is $500,000, and Stake pays 15% Tax on GGR.

NGR is the basic profits share collected by the casino per month.

Formula

A – B – C – D

Note: C= The sum of all bonuses revived by players
while D = Total of all taxes

To solve for D multiply $2,500,000 by 15%

Goodluck. I learnt something new today, and I'm not alone. Cheers.

It's the perfect moment for Nonchuk to go viral since they are a new tech firm. They have the best strategy of getting people's attention on the internet through such mail with a funny reply trying to belittle the Government regarding such a request that sounds like they know nothing about private keys and blockchain protocols. Although, Nonchuk have been of good support to the truckers' movement.

They'll do the necessary things to see that protesters continue utilizing their platform to store their funds using multi-sig. The court only needs them to do what they requested before they can go free because they won't stop disturbing them until they find a way to confiscate the funds as requested. The citizens have the right to such a movement. But, the Government is the same everywhere. They deprive citizens of their fundamental human rights all the time. It'll be genuine to say that the Government can hold Nonchuk responsible for supporting the movement.
