sevilla were unlucky, they failed to take advantage of the opportunity to reduce points with madrid, as a result barca got closer to them. To be honest, I applaud the improvement that has occurred to barca, from the middle to enter the top 3 of the standings, aubameyang contributes a lot in every game that barca makes, I can say that barca is very lucky to have aubameyang and torres.
Sevilla had let Barcelona get closer to their points, and it was a disappointing result for Sevilla.

Barcelona have high hopes of reaching second place and overtaking Sevilla if they can maintain their good form until the end of the season. Today it was possible for Barcelona to lock in a win against Osasuna where since the first half they have led the match with 3 goals. So Sevilla seems to be getting more and more pressured in the table as Barcelona are starting to try to snatch that position away from them.

I'm glad you're all willing to share your views here on understanding good investing, how to manage it, and how to get started. I have no more reason to keep this thread open as I think all your feedback has provided me with quite a helping hand for me and other users' insights with regards to investing.

Finally, I must close the thread by thanking all of you, and your opinion which comes from investment and money management experience so that it is hoped that it will be a useful solution for anyone who is interested in investing. Wealth is sometimes just a casual formality which may not be better than economic stability, but with an investment mindset we can really expect to have a bit more profit even if we never get rich in the end. So, thank you for participating.

This is what I was afraid of before, Manchester United failed to stem Tottenham's attack well despite winning 2-1 in the first half, and now the score is 2-2. But there is still plenty of time to finish the match with a win.

I've already said that Tottenham are ahead in stats and they might have equalized had the Manchester United players not held on to their lead and added to their lead in the second half. I still hope Cristiano Ronaldo scores a hattrick in this match, even though it's too late to finish this match with a win.

Services like this have been around for a long time with a low success rate and this isn't the first time I've come across such a service. I can't find an old thread about the same service but I believe it failed to get interest from bitcointalk users because of the risk at stake.

There are good guidelines for anyone to read and find out if it is a signature campaign operator or a signature campaign participant so anyone interested in such a service will think more things especially about post quality - Signature Campaign Guidelines (read this before starting or joining a campaign). Forum don't moderate scams and mod won't ban users from posting anything that isn't constructive, but mod have the capacity to ban spammers if they continue to spam with poor quality posts.

So you can't ask mods to moderate things like that even if it seems like an obvious scam but you just need to report more spam for the mod to deal with which would probably be a good start to keep spammers from staying on this forum especially if they participate in signature campaign. Anyway, I think we can appreciate your effort and good will for this forum.

Manchester United   2-1   Tottenham

After a long time I saw a goal from Ronaldo. Ronaldo scored the first goal with the help of Fred. Ronaldo scored another goal in the 38th minute of the match. Now Manchester United is leading 2-1. Without Ronaldo, we are not getting the expected performance from Pogba and Rashford. If these two players can perform a little better today, Manchester United will be able to score 3 points today. Every point is very important to them right now.
Well, it was a good performance from Ronaldo. He has scored 2 goals in the first half to lead Manchester United 2-1 over Tottenham. I hope he can still score his third goal of the day as a hattrick to close the game with a win in the second half, but there is always the possibility of seeing Tottenham equalize with the chances they created.

From the match statistics it is clear that Tottenham are ahead of Manchester United, but Ronaldo has changed the match for the better to give Manchester United players hope of victory. Winning at home today is definitely something that is mandatory and the players need to know that and do it the right way. Looking forward to the second half.
2886  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: March 11, 2022, 08:13:33 PM
Atletico Madrid want to finish the league in the top 4 and grab the Champions League ticket. They have strong rivals in the race for fourth place. Cadiz wants to stay in the league. Every point is worth gold to them. It will not be an easy match. Both teams will take the field for 3 points. However,  Atletico Madrid are the favorites in this match.
It seems that Atletico Madrid's victory today against Cadiz was easier than we thought. How not, Felix has scored one goal even though the match has only lasted 5 minutes. I don't think Atletico Madrid will struggle to score more goals until the first half and maybe more than 3 goals for Atletico Madrid's victory today.

So no need to worry about Atletico Madrid today as they will still maintain 4th place in La Liga standings after today's win. I just want to say that this match looks easy for Atletico Madrid. Let's see how many goals they scored in this match.
2887  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2021/2022 on: March 11, 2022, 04:02:34 PM
-snip-
This week Manchester United will again face a tough test when Tottenham become their opponents at home. Without Ronaldo in his last match against Manchester City saw Manchester United lose 4-1, but I hope they can get back to their best against Tottenham.

On the other hand, Tottenham are also struggling to get maximum points in this match considering that they must no longer waste all the opportunities they have to fight for a ticket to the Champions League next season. If Tottenham win then they can move Manchester United up to 6th but I don't expect that to be true. Manchester United are expected to win that match considering they also need to be well motivated before against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League. So because of the match at Old Trafford I think Manchester United deserve the 3 points.

There are so many great heroes in this forum.
Of course, we have plenty of unsung heroes on this forum that I've probably never interacted with in a post. If you ask me who is the true selfless hero then I believe he is the satoshi who created bitcoin for us.

It is clear that the 3 users you are reviewing are forum members who have contributed well to the forum through their knowledge and activities and dedication but for me the real unsung hero is satoshi.

There is a list of Most Recognized Profiles that might also be good for you to know, they are also unsung heroes with different capacities and contributions to the forum and also bitcoin in my opinion. Check the list if you want to know who they are.

2889  Economy / Economics / Re: Never expect you to be rich without investment on: March 11, 2022, 03:24:54 PM
Work alone couldn't make them rich unless they are getting a high salary from it.
I think it work is only necessary to make it on our daily life but if we want to get rich or have an easier life then investment is what we need.
It is either we work more shift or part time job to be rich or let our investment do the work for us.
Each of us has our own goals about why we work though generally to earn money. However, the mindset about investment is not shared by all workers, especially when these people work just because they want to meet the necessities of life, family economic responsibilities, or pay debts.

Regarding investing, I also admit that not everyone who has the desire to invest is guaranteed to get rich but he is on the right track to at least have good expectations of what he invests in the long term. On the other hand, when they never want to invest, they will only work to survive which in the end only meets the needs of clothing, food and housing. But all of this is not just about how we get rich, it is part of the way we think about how money can be useful.

P.S. Waiting for DdmrDdmr also to visit the 7k merit club's gang  Cool
It didn't take long for DdmrDdmr to get into the 7K merit club, and now he only needed 2 large transactions (probably 50 merit per transaction) of 2 merit sources allowing him to achieve it in no time. 100 merit is not the hardest thing for him and I'm sure he will get it during this month.

If there is a competition, DdmrDdmr will enter the 7K merit club as the 8th user out of 3,455,604 registered profiles.

6. Barcelona 1 vs 1 Galatasaray
Even though I am not a Barcelona supporter but your prediction for the outcome of this match seems totally unfounded. I wonder what makes you think this match will end in a draw?

Compare the performance of these two teams in their respective leagues and find out why they ended in a draw. If you just say everything is still possible in football then I think your prediction is really very risky to consider especially in this match. So far Barcelona are in their best form and managed to occupy the 3rd place in the Laliga standings, while Galatasaray failed to break into the top 10 of the standings in 28 matches. Galatasaray have conceded 41 goals which is proof that they can't defend well during the game, but Barcelona are much better than them.

JayJuanGee , thanks for trying to explain it to me.

I get it now. This means that if I happen to receive 1000merits this month and then send out 500 smerits, my generosity will still be = 1.
Not, check the formula again and understand it correctly. Supposedly if you receive 1000 merit and send 500 merit in a month then the sum of your generosity is 0. Math is cheap, sometimes a little confusing.  Wink

But if I want to top the generosity chart, I will hold the 500 smerits and send all in the next month which I might likely be receiving small number of merit.
For what, this thread is to identify the merit source although some other users may still be on the list as well. If you want to be on that list, send more merit than you receive.

2894  Economy / Economics / Re: Never expect you to be rich without investment on: March 10, 2022, 01:24:03 PM
If you just mean invest money then I wouldn't agree with you here.
No, I don't mean to just invest money without knowing what investing is.

When someone wants to invest but doesn't know what investment is, it's like throwing gold into the sea. I agree that one should know enough what an investment is and how he can manage it well to make a profit before he decides to invest, otherwise he will really face the harsh reality of his investment.

Even you may invest your brain like many people become rich by that.
You are right, a person can still invest his brain to make a profit, but the fact is not everyone has the ability to do so because most of them only invest their energy to earn money.

A person who invests his brain for profit is someone who has a special skill so that it can benefit him. While not everyone has these skills, they do have money that may be worth investing in. I have already said, it's not just only about investing in crypto but any asset they like including gold and other physical assets that they think can make a profit in the long term. It may not guarantee wealth, but at least they've tried to do it the right way.
2895  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Round of 16! on: March 09, 2022, 10:06:43 PM
PSG's biggest failure this season is not having a good defense and mentally strong when under pressure. Marquinhos made a lot of mistakes and he contributed greatly to the creation of Benzema's goal in this match. It's a great result for Real Madrid but a big slap in the face of the PSG owners.

Having great player like Messi, Neymar and Mbappe will not necessarily make this team an easy win if their defense and midfielders are still not better than other teams. But all good because Real Madrid got away with 3 goals from Benzema today. Good job, for sure.
2896  Economy / Economics / Never expect you to be rich without investment on: March 09, 2022, 06:17:58 PM
"I was not born into a rich family, nor am I one who will receive much inheritance from my parents and I have to work hard to make ends meet." At least that's a sentence from my friend that inspired me to make this thread.

I honestly feel that the sentence above is one of the saddest sentences to hear when someone starts talking about their economic condition. It is clear that everyone is obliged to work to support himself and his family, but when they neglect investment then I believe that these people will never get rich except by a miracle of God.

Investing I mean not just crypto investing, but any investment he likes. This allows one to make good profits in the future. That is, the more assets that can be invested, the greater the bright hope for the future. I've heard stories about investing $1000 in crypto making someone a billionaire before (in our fiat currency), and it's a fact to say that don't expect to get rich without investing unless you are the heir to rich parents.
2897  Other / Meta / Re: [TOP-200] The most generous users giving merits on: March 09, 2022, 05:53:47 PM
How is this calculated?
Pay attention to this formula. If you understand this formula then you will know how generous you are to get into the top 200 list in this thread.

Code:
GENEROSITY = SENT_MERITS - ceil(RECEIVED_MERITS / 2)

I tried to explain it for you. In January you have earned 82 merit and send 42 merit. So the GENEROSITY you have based on the formula above is.

Code:
GENEROSITY = 42 - (82 / 2)
42 - 41 = 1
GENEROSITY= 1

So, for January you are not included in the top 200 because there are more users who have 3 GENEROSITY. And now you can do it yourself to find out how generous you were in February based on the same formula. Good luck.

The more smerit you send in a month compared to the merit you earn, the better your chances of making it to the top 200 list. This means that if you have been designated a merit source, we are more likely to find out from this table.
2898  Economy / Speculation / Re: ukraine battlefield bear market on: March 09, 2022, 05:40:01 PM
However, there are still many factors that will contribute to the price of bitcoin and not just it is dependent of the combat zone or war. And in the last 24 hours, we have seen the price breaking the $40k barrier and it seems to be going again and could hit $45k which is the next mental barrier.

Like the covid-19 pandemic, sure it hits everyone including crypto market but we slowly gain and even goes for a new all time high with the pandemic still around.
There is always a cause and effect as to why bitcoin prices fluctuate and so far such swings can be considered normal as long as bitcoin doesn't dump its price more than 20% in a day. Market behavior is very sensitive to FUD or negative news during this time, people panic and really want to sell when FUD news spreads in various media and we can't blame it.

We should not always rely on the war between Russia and Ukraine to find out why this up and down movement is happening because there are more things or other factors that have to be rational reasons that can change the trend or market sentiment for better or for worse. So far bitcoin continues to strengthen, and we can expect $45K resistance to be broken.

As soon as TRX will be listed, I am afraid that a lot of people will leave ETH because of its gas fees. Hoping for the best anyway.
The fee of eth gas is always fluctuating and is highly dependent on the increase in the number of transactions. People may consider transaction fees when depositing or withdrawing funds from the site, but it may not have much impact on their use of the currency of choice. I as a site user are also pleased with the team's efforts to add another currency to the site, TRX is a great choice when transaction fees from the dominant currency increase over time.

The following is the current recommended priority fee in Gwei ETH based on https://ethgasstation.info/. Not very expensive, but maybe more expensive than other altcoin like TRX.

2900  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: "Bitcoin" vs "bitcoin" | Do we know the difference? on: March 09, 2022, 09:27:12 AM
What about BitCoin? I remember that it was used in the past, perhaps because the name is derived from two terms, but now it has become "a noun of a subject" and therefore the first letter was sufficient.

Does anyone know when people stopped using BitCoin?

AFAIK, we use Bitcoin for bitcoin network and BTC for bitcoin units.

In general, thanks for the information, I did not expect that there was a difference.
I think the use of the word "B" is more synonymous to discuss something that is technical in nature but for "b" is usually used to refer to bitcoin units. But to be honest, I also randomly use it sometimes and it shouldn't be much of a problem.

Looks like we already have the right consensus on the usage of the words Bitcoin, bitcoin, and btc as I quote them here. Source

Quote
Bitcoin - with capitalization, is used when describing the concept of Bitcoin, or the entire network itself. e.g. "I was learning about the Bitcoin protocol today."
bitcoin - without capitalization, is used to describe bitcoins as a unit of account. e.g. "I sent ten bitcoins today."; it is also often abbreviated BTC or XBT.
