2881  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: JP Morgan believes Bitcoin is Overpriced on: November 04, 2021, 11:31:55 PM
JPM CEO is a known bitcoin hater. So no wonder that his bank will come out with such ridiculous statements. If we had to believe Jemie few years back, bitcoin wouldn't have reached this point.

So the best course of action we can do is to ignore such jokers who were born to criticize everything new. JPM handles trillions of dollars remittance every year and earn fat commissions from it. With bitcoin, you don't need anyone to settle your remittance which is challenging JPM's dominance. So it's no wonder, they are trying to deframe bitcoin.
I believe they're getting interested on bitcoin, or else the JP Morgan team won't take bitcoin into consideration and reveal analytics. I think they believe on the market to be manipulative by popular people. To negative news bitcoin used to react immediately and turn bearish in the past. Now things have changed as people are mature to know better and doesn't get panic. This is the very beginning and soon JP Morgan can have his company holdings in bitcoin.

So i guess that in the tomorrows evening match between Mainz and Gladbach that Mainz will lose this game .
Even they are good at home , but if Gladbach keeps playing as they have done it the last weeks they have no chance.
So my bet goes for a Gladbach win 2 : 1 on this match , hopefully we dont see another surprising result.
Even now the match seems to go close with wild change happening during the live match. In specific this match will be high scoring, because all the head to head matches played prior by the teams have ended on above 2.5 goals. On the past five H2H matche results, Mainz have won the last match and all the previous matches were won by Gladbach.
2883  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: November 03, 2021, 04:40:26 PM
India at last played really good against Afganistan in WCT20. But now they have to depend on New Zealand in order to qualify for the semi finals, if New Zealand loses any of their remaining match then India have a chance to qualify for semis otherwise India will be out.
New Zealand have won against India and lost against Pakistan. Remaining matches are against Namibia and Afghanistan. In both the matches New Zealand have the upper hand. So, India have almost lost its chance to the top 2 of the group.

India making big performance against Afghanistan and Namibia doesn't make them big. If similar play have been made against Pakistan and New Zealand then it is true they're big. Afghanistan team is playing good, but the lack of experience makes them loss wickets. Compared to the experience of Indian team Afghanistan is still a new born. Probably within few years time Afghanistan will make themselves a strong team.
2884  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrencies in Schools on: November 03, 2021, 06:18:38 AM
I don't know if this topic is already tackled but I want to know your random opinions.
What happens if Bitcoins will be adapt in schools especially in college level?
For me it will be advantage for every students who will encounter regards Bitcoins . Since we are now living in a modern  world we encounter a lot of currency specially Bitcoins. I think it's better to have a lesson about Bitcoins in the Home of school learning so that the teacher and students both learned in currency which is Bitcoin . If ever this thing tackled in the school it will be educated and expand the knowledge of Bitcoin so they will know more and also to avoid scam
Here is a list of top schools and universities accepting bitcoin payments. This number keeps increase as more and more schools and universities have begun to accept bitcoin as payments. Recently Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania have made plans to accept bitcoin. This keeps increasing.
When you talk about the courses. Just through the link you'll find the details.
Top Schools and Universities that added bitcoin to their curriculum

What are the best for beginners between  Hodl and invest?
For me I will choose investment even if it takes time and very risky but the profit you recieve will make you satisfied.  We all know that we won't be successful if we've not encounter many struggles we neet to be patient and disciplineed then the victory is ours. Warren Buffett says “We don’t have to be smarter than the rest. We have to be more disciplined that the rest."
Different people have different perspective. Most of the time users to prefer to stay on the safe zone. This means holding in a secure wallet is the right choice than investing/trading. Whatever DYOR before entering the market.
Does the government allows Bitcoin to be tackle in school?
In my observation not all will agreed, if the government support Bitcoin it is a big help to us to know more and expand our knowledge and we all know that bitcoin give us a good thing. We can earn through investment. If someone afraid of taking risk then they can hodl thier currency until the price goes up
Compared to the past nowadays there is good support from governments around the world. Many government that were against cryptocurrency have now begun to regulate the usage. Though bitcoin isn't accepted as a legal tender, there is no ban on using it for trading and investment.
Does Education is the best way to avoid being scam?
Yes absolutely teaching about Cryptocurrencies and security in our account is the best way to avoid and prevent scam so it is better to had an education in Bitcoin in the school specially to that student and teacher who did not know about Bitcoins cause, in our world right now are more Cryptocurrencies. It gives us benefits an awareness on how to secure our account our personal information cause we don't know people beside us so it's better to be wise men.
It is true that education is the way to identify scams and makes ourselves not get trapped. When it comes to cryptocurrency we need to be very careful, because a small mistake we do could make us loss big.

Shiba's current price is $0.00006673 and to reach $0.1 which I think is very unlikely and even if you have to wait 5 years it will never happen.
I think Shiba will be a boring coin eventually after the hype ends, because right now the Shiba hype is still going on and once the hype is over everyone will be tired of waiting for an unexpected upgrade like before. and slowly they will disappear leaving him. Grin
Shiba is now at its peak hype. This is what makes Shiba grow high with time. Shiba to $0.1 won't happen. Certain coins on holding for a longer time period gives big return. This won't happen with Shiba. In my understanding the investments on meme coins were like throwing the money on a multiplier scheme/MLM Scheme. At the beginning it looks profiting. All of the sudden the team gets vanished and there won't be trace of its existence.
2886  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: November 02, 2021, 04:39:51 PM
Completely one-sided match between Namibia and Pakistan. Target is 190 for Namibia and I will be surprised even if they manage to reach the half-point. Namibia started well actually, and Pakistan was 59/0 after 10 overs. But the next 10 overs went for 130 runs. Ruben Trumpelmann, who went for 2 runs from his first 2 overs conceded 34 runs from his next two overs. The Namibian captain looked completely clueless on how to contain the Pakistani batsmen. Even the experienced David Wiese could do very little against Babar and Rizwan.
The match is a win for Pakistan. However watching the match seems more interesting. Namibia have lost its second wicket at 55. Stephen Baard whose innings watchable came to an end with an unwanted runout. I'm expecting something good from Namibia. Myself expect atleast a score of 120runs end of 20 overs.
2887  Economy / Economics / Re: What are common arguments for Bitcoin? on: November 02, 2021, 01:19:57 PM
What should new investors know about Bitcoin?

A common argument, bitcoin is a scam.

For most people that I encounter, that's the common question because what they know is when it says bitcoin, you will invest something like a ponzi scheme and it will grow. On that matter, I'd rather just keep quiet and let them think what they want because their door is closed for any information.

What should new investors know about bitcoin? The risks involved with it. It's better to understand the risk instead of getting profits.

Yes, you are right, where I also live, the first thing they tell me is that this is a scam and that it is a pyramid scheme, the truth is that the people who have told me these statements do not have any kind of financial education, it does not make sense sometimes to argue with them because they simply stick to what they see on TV or what some newscasts instill in them, I also had the opportunity to speak with an owner of a textile company where he told me that BTC was practically that, a scam, that if I told him why based on the characteristics of a pyramid scheme, based on history and I made a brief comparison with tulips, and I told him, FIAT money is much more bubble right now than BTC, and a possible recession It has been delayed because there is the fudamental of covid-19, of course when talking about the history, how it is even in the form of a bubuja chart and scam, he did not give me another argument to continue saying that it was a scam.

Nowadays there is better understanding, because in the past only news of bitcoin associated with illegal, scam and fraudulent activities gets broadcasted. This gives a negative opinion about bitcoin among common people who aren't good into technology related investment activities. At present often we can see news associated with bitcoin, as more and more exchanges are promoting their services.

Over the past two years, people have a different view upon bitcoin. Now they find it a legit asset and has considered for trading purpose and as an investment.
2888  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can BTC rise to 1 million US dollars? on: November 02, 2021, 10:36:00 AM
Below are few threads that are created in the past for the same discussion.

BITCOIN Will hit 1 Million $$$ ? What do you think ?
Bitcoin = $1 Million by 2020
Bitcoin for $1 Million !!! In ten years?
Turn $10,000 into 1 Million
John McAfee bets his dick that BTC will hit $1 Million USD

In my view when something goes beyond certain value, there is possible chances of value destruction. This means it might make the economic infrastructure ineffective.
2889  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Walmart Sells Bitcoin on: November 02, 2021, 08:47:49 AM
Large scale firms like MicroStrategy, Square, Bitcoin Group were all into cryptocurrency holding. Whenever there is some sort of market crash, they try to accumulate as much possible. This is the first time one of the large scale firm is supporting the adoption and helping with the ease of access.

Walmart which is known around the globe making a partnership with popular Bitcoin ATM manufacturers Coinstar and CoinMe to widen the bitcoin market is a big step. Maybe this will be followed by other firms that have chain of stores. Walmart have laid the first stone at the right time.
2890  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Verified Information - Missed Opportunities on: November 02, 2021, 07:17:20 AM

Above image portrays a tweet made ten years back. By that time Greg Schoen have sold his 1700 Bitcoins. When the tweet was made, the price of bitcoin is $8. He had sold his holdings for $0.30 per bitcoin. It is a missed opportunity, because he wasn't able to sell at $8 as well as at the present peak. But, he's good enough to talk about cryptocurrencies. Now all he have is ethereum and few other altcoins and not bitcoins.

If there are similar people with verified information about missing opportunities to make good profit out of it. Please share it with the image on the thread.
2891  Economy / Economics / Re: Getting things off your list. on: November 02, 2021, 06:40:00 AM
I wish it is this simple. From where I'm living, an ordinary person wishes to buy a house as early as possible, but ends up buying one only after retirement at 60 years old or above. My parents must have wished to buy a house as well. Today, they're both old and separated. They were never able to build one for the family. It is very common for an ordinary person or family in my country to wish to have a car one day. To the majority of them, that wish will remain so until the day they die.
Almost the same is happening on third world countries. In my country if we have the plan to buy/construct a home , it is possible on the rural regions. Because of the property value, construction cost. In City region the expense for the same will be atleast five times the cost.

If our parents have saved in terms of cryptocurrency, now we might've bought a mansion and had a luxury car. Grin Grin
2892  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Gambling increase due to the pandemic, stats, UK on: November 02, 2021, 05:24:11 AM
I want to know if this survey is all about the increase of gamblers in physical casino or in general including the online gamblers. My concern was due to Pandemic, I believe UK might reduce there Casino player capacity to minimize the virus transmission. I don't know if UK does this for virus prevention but I think the increase on gamblers is more on online casino which should be point out on the article.
On physical casinos the gamblers participation have decreased, but the increase is recorded on the online gambling platforms. During the pandemic majority of the business that had a well established online platforms boomed during the pandemic. Most offline business platforms developed their services online during the pandemic. Particularly the cryptocurrency usage have increased during the pandemic. This clearly portrays the increase is recorded with online gamblers, so specifying details about online gambling activities makes the article fulfilled.
2893  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: few technical questions about altcoins on: November 02, 2021, 04:35:29 AM
Shiba uses lots of similar programming languages as dogecoin. The key focus of shiba was to ride the success of dogecoin and make money. Now they've succeeded in it reaching the 9th position on coinmarketcap. This is why it was termed to be dogecoin killer. The supporters themselves formed a community as ShibArmy. Initially it was created as a fun, but the hype or the coincidence through a personality gave it big attention. More people moved towards it and the increased investment made the market progress continuously. Now slowly they're gaining good momentum than a hype and crash coin.
2894  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SHIBA Fever on: November 02, 2021, 02:03:46 AM
A lot of people have recently become millionaires because of it. It's that kind of coin. I wasn't able to ride that train, but it's fun seeing it. Regarding its popularity, it's just continuously being talked about, and maybe it's just serving a purpose that we don't know what's behind it. Perhaps a good reference to why it is like this and why people have believed in it.

Do you think it will continue to rise with its current hype and situation?
There is more possible chances of rise for some reason. Recently AMC Theatres CEO made a poll on Twitter regarding the adoption of Shiba as payment into the business. In the poll 87% have favoured Shiba.

Days back one of the restaurant in Paris named Bistro have begun to accept Shiba as payments. This is more a positive news and helps in making more real-time usage of Shiba. So, there is more space for Shiba to grow as people are much into the hype than understanding its real value behind development.

Other than very few, none has got good volume. Just with a dog 🐶 why is this hype. Compared to the marketcap Shiba at present is constituting around 1.7% which is big from a memecoin. This kind of coins will surely disturb the market in the long term for different reasons.
2896  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investors desire on meme coins are insane on: November 02, 2021, 12:22:55 AM
Few of the meme coins have grown good over time. Just think of the rest of the meme coins. Shiba was almost valueless and suddenly it had a big pump and the hype is kept alive by few. This made the trading volume. If not this could've turned to be a coin where there'll be growth but unable to trade. It is possible to see lots and lots of similar projects with big hypes snd and trading in thousands. So, meme coins are like gamble. You need to be lucky, if not you won't be rewarded.
2897  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: November 01, 2021, 05:48:26 PM
India going to the next round is now completely uncertain. Qualifying for the next round now depends on Scotland, Namibia and Afghanistan. India may only advance to the next round if one of these three teams can beat New Zealand. Scotland and Namibia teams are not strong. However, Afghanistan is performing well enough. The New Zealand team must perform very carefully in this match. But I would be happy if India can go to the next round. It is sad that a team as strong as them is eliminated in the first round.
India, one of the top contenders, would be really disappointed if they were unable to advance to the next round. Considering the way the Indian cricket team is playing, it cannot be expected. According to the analysis, on slow tracks you have taken into your side one spinner who is not very experienced as compared to one great spinner who is sitting on the sidelines. This is what's happening in the Indian team.

I see all the discussions today about the Indian match suggest that no one is watching the today's match between England and Srilanka. Don't you match other matches ?

To the surprise, England are struggling against Srilanka and we might be heading towards another upset. Srilanka desperately needs a win to stay in the tournament and maybe today is their day.
I'm interested in today's match between England and Srilanka and I'm touched.

In the first ten overs, England struggled, but in the next ten overs they scored 116 runs. In the end, England scored 163/4 with a brilliant batting performance from Jos Butler. The way England come back is like this, and there shouldn't be any upset moments, as Sri Lanka's batsmen struggle right now. This should be an easy win for England. A few teams should learn from this inning and realize the importance of capitalizing on an inning after a poor start.
Jos Butler and Morgan took the responsibility and performed well at the right time. If not, England might've got stopped around 130. The difference of 30 runs add more pressure for the opponent while batting second. Myself watched praying Jos Butler needs to record his century. Finally it happened in the last ball. Awesome innings to watch. From the bowlers end, at the beginning Sri Lanka bowlers took control. At the later overs they weren't able to do the same. Finally England has got confirmed for the semi final winning all the three matches.
2898  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Issue of fixed Matches on: October 31, 2021, 11:54:07 PM
Those are days when fixed matches are very common around in all sports. Now this has decreased a lot, due to the technology advancement. Earlier small signs were noted for fixed matches. With the present technology uplifting it is easy to identify these activities of players. Once I participated in such a match, and won the game. During the year around 2000 match fixing was quite common in most of the sports.

I also think that fixed matches are a thing of the past, at least in the top leagues of the "big" sports like football (both american and european), basketball and so on. It would just cost too much money to fix a match in the english premier league or the german bundesliga in football or some basketball match in the USA. What i can imagine though is that people with a lot of money can still try to manipulate matches in the 3rd or 4th division of football in the big football countries like England, Germany, Spain, Italy and so on. You can also bet on those games and therefore it would be probably the best opportunity for criminals to fix a match.
Looking upon the sporting industry from the outside it looks like very legit, but more and more forms of corruption is paving path. It is shocking to read a news mentioning about the increase of suspicions to 1100 since the pandemic start. Particularly the football sporting is at high risk on corruption. 655 cases recorded in the last nine months. So we can't say match fixing is not there anymore.

Source : Match-fixing suspicions raised in 1,100 cases since pandemic’s start
2899  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with whales? on: October 31, 2021, 07:43:48 PM
40% of all Bitcoins are owned by just 1000 individuals.

This gives them a disproportionate amount of control over the market as they are able to dump them at anytime.

This is not to mention the high proportion of bitcoins held by miners and exchanges, who may have perverse incentives to ensure that as many people buy up bitcoin as possible and hold it for long enough for the price to rise.

Is there any way to deal with the high degree of centralisation that Bitcoin has?

You can't do anything about it. Probably 1000 people own most of the world wealth too so It is not surprising that something similar is happening with btc. That's called capitalism. And the opposite where everybody shares everything would be communism. If everybody had the same amount of money, either everybody would have Ferrari's or nobody would have any cars. Some people must be poor so some others can be rich. That's how it works.
Well said about the working principle of the world economics. It is impossible to have uniformity with everything. Above quote clearly portrays the reality of the market. Let us assume the 1000 individuals owning the most wealth of the world are the most bitcoins holders. The common public is the nodes, just because of the bitcoins got hold within those 100 people these nodes doesn't stop its functioning. The process keeps running unlike the holding.
2900  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoins economic growth is enormous in India | Amazing Future ahead on: October 30, 2021, 03:40:06 PM
The growth of crypto in India completely depends upon the type of regulations the government and their set of crypto monitoring committee brings. If they are too stiff in their regulations, Indian exchanges might face a problem and as jackg said, may flee from here and sit with their business somewhere else. Same belongs to the citizens of India who'll either stop using crypto by the fear of losing their money just the way they did when RBI gave ultimatum to everyone to simply close their crypto dealings and leave it asap. There might be more than 100 million users of crypto in India, but there is no real number that can justify that how many of these 100 million users are active investors or are trading in crypto currently.
Two days back some information have come stating that government is much focused on regulating cryptocurrency than making a ban over it. The next general budget has got an agenda about cryptocurrencies regulation related discussion. In India often we get to see ban statements on cryptocurrency, but people continue to use it without considering the governments stand on cryptocurrency. During the pandemic active participant count of cryptocurrency users increased gradually. The same doesn't counts to be 100 million which is a big number. Only after regulation we can get precise data on the number of active users.
