2881  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Malleability counter attack : Malleate to LowS instead of dropping HighS on: October 15, 2015, 10:55:37 AM
New Bitcoin Core release 0.11.1 obviates the problem by mandating LowS.
2882  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [Official Thread] Case - Multi-Signature Hardware Wallet on: October 15, 2015, 10:28:50 AM
Case seems to be having problems getting units shipped out in a timely fashion. We pre-ordered in May as soon as the product was offered for sale on the website, still have not received ours. Paid for, mind you, not a review sample. Jake Day reported in his review video that the charging pad was overheating perhaps they have halted shipping until an alternate charger is sourced.

Update: received our Case wallet and there is now no problem with overheating of the wireless charger.
2883  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin maleabity attack - who made it and is it still running? on: October 14, 2015, 11:37:28 PM
Are we still under attack?  I have a transaction that is unconfirmed for over 2 hours .  Miners fee is 0.00014659.

No.
2884  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Will the Armory Wallet be made compatible with the Trezor hardware wallet? on: October 14, 2015, 04:44:54 AM
No Trezor for me until I have Armory integration with multiple wallets.
Oh, and manually choosing inputs too.

Ente

I completely agree... I see no need to buy a Trezor without Armory integration.

But devs probably have a lot in their hands. I'm patient, tho Smiley It will be good for both Trezor and Armory when they're both compatible.

On the other hand for myself I see no need to continue to use Armory until Trezor is supported. Using two computers for cold storage is a right pain in the butt and feels so outdated. I will be among the first to start using Armory again when I see a new build released with full Trezor support.
2885  Economy / Services / Re: I'm looking for a WordPress site designer on: October 13, 2015, 08:16:50 PM
I have a web site for a Christmas light show that needs some work.
I'm looking for a designer with good WordPress experience. I will use sites that you have designed as reference.
I'm offering 0.2 BTC, payable in installments.

You might get a better response if you put up the link to the site you think needs work.
2886  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAMBASE is at it again on: October 13, 2015, 07:55:27 PM
Sounds like you are upset because Coinbase closed your account for breaking one of their rules.
2887  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Antminer S7 on Hashnest on: October 13, 2015, 02:21:48 AM
My crystal ball is a little hazy but I suspect soon all the S7 hash bought as a speculation will be sold. I see a large gap between bid and ask at Hashnest with buyers with largest bids between .0015 and .0017. If bitcoin price started trending down S7 price could easily crash from .0019 to .0016. Not to mention at current price S5 is the better buy as it is considerably more profitable. My bids are in under .0016 otherwise I would rather own S5.
2888  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Antminer S7 on Hashnest on: October 13, 2015, 12:17:06 AM
Yes, good for him. Well done. If the demand for S7 was not there he would have had to sell at a loss, or probably just keep it for the mining income.
2889  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: WordPress AdServer plugin for BitCoin network on: October 12, 2015, 10:20:46 PM
It is usually a good idea to wait for beta plugins to be approved by WordPress before installing, to prevent a malfunctioning plugin from breaking your site. Been there, done that.
2890  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you had to choose to put 5 BTC into 1 BTC investment, what would that be? on: October 12, 2015, 08:00:46 PM
So, if you had to select only 1 single BTC related investment to put 5 BTC into it, what would that be?

I know a lot of people re going to say there are no safe and sustainable BTC investments but I strongly disagree. Once you exclude HYIPs and ponzies, you can do well in the crypto world.
What would you choose and why?

Hashnest S5 hosted mining. Price bottomed out last week and is now in an uptrend. You do have to watch your investment though. At some point S5 price will top out and it would then be time to take profits: selling your GH/s at a profit and you also have the mining income. S7 hash is way overpriced right now. I think as the price of S5 tops out it will coincide with S7 price crashing from .0019 to about .0016. That would then be the time to sell your S5 GH/s and move into S7.

Since Trezor updated myTrezor.com have had no problems using Trezor either with it or Multibit HD.

pricey and it looks not very good for that price...  Roll Eyes

Except the old adage applies, "if you don't own your keys, you don't own the bitcoin". They still hold a key, what happens when the company disappears?

Thanks for the video link. Still waiting for mine to ship. The problem with the charging pad overheating is a real concern. I think Jake's comment that he uses his Case for a hot wallet for day to day use while using Trezor for main storage is spot on.
2893  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Any way to buy bitcoin via paypal? on: October 12, 2015, 04:57:57 PM
I'm waiting for a payment via paypal and i'm wanting to buy bitcoins with it. Around $150-$200 worth.

If someone can point me in the right direction that would be great.

Thanks

Do you have a PayPal Debit MasterCard? Not the PayPal PrePaid MasterCard which will not work. You can use the PayPal Debit MasterCard to buy bitcoin at Circle. Just open a Circle account and go to settings then linked accounts. Next click on add account and add the details of your PayPal Debit MasterCard. Once your card is connected you can buy bitcoins and your PayPal balance will be used.
2894  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Man Behind Week-Long Bitcoin Attacks Reveals Himself on: October 11, 2015, 11:13:21 PM
Ok, I don't know exactly what they/he were/was doing but Microsoft just patched it. The attack has to be more than just on the Bitcoin network, as you can see whatever MS changed in the last update fixed it.

Here's today's snapshot with the patch being applied just before 12 PM.

Here's a week long snapshot.

Looks like this new attack started on the 8th.

Microsoft patching bitcoin? Source for your graphs please. Statoshi shows there is still a problem:

2895  Economy / Economics / Re: Best way to make a living online? on: October 11, 2015, 09:36:55 PM
I have been interested in the various ways there are of making money on the internet. From the GPT/PTC sites to others like swagbucks.com, I have been earning money online since 2009. At the time, I was still skeptical of making money online at all to begin with yet so Bitcoin was out of the question. Now from what I see the best methods involve bitcoin. Today, finding a job writing or programming or something similar online in exchange for bitcoin seems to be the way to go these days. What do you do to earn extra income online?

What products are you passionate about? Think niche markets. Locate a wholesale source and sell online. Anyone can set up an online shop in a few hours for next to nothing using WordPress and free WooCommerce. Accept PayPal or use a merchant account for credit cards but make sure to offer the option to pay with bitcoin. CoinSimple has a free bitcoin payment plugin for WooCommerce that sends bitcoin straight to your wallet.
2896  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Hashnest 's newest PACMiC Cloud Mining Contract on: October 11, 2015, 08:22:48 PM
Right now the best deal at Hashnest is S5 hash. Price bottomed out last week and started an uptrend. You can buy and hold, get mining income, and as price increases sell your hash at a profit. At some point in a couple of months S7 will be the better deal but not now.
2897  Other / MultiBit / Re: Multibit HD 0.1.3 Password no longer valid on: October 10, 2015, 10:23:39 PM
Why the insistence on Lighthouse?
2898  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HASHNEST Discussion and Support Thread on: October 10, 2015, 03:52:14 PM
Hashnest marked the shop "sold out" when S7 market opened Friday night. There were over 600 S7 miners still left for sale. Hashnest will be wanting to sell those GH/s.

S7 price is headed down and there is a good chance price will drop to .0015 where there is a 102 bitcoin buy wall.
2899  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HASHNEST Discussion and Support Thread on: October 10, 2015, 05:21:24 AM
s7 market is out and its pretty lame, ill give it a couple days, see if price gets better or more volume. im going back to s5 for now

Yes, very expensive for now. I m sure these re just speculators trying to rip off unsuspecting noobs.

Give it a few days to sort out. S7 fair value based on the pre-sale is .001614/GH/s. Most bids at the market are at .00162 or less, which is where you should bid if you want to buy. Makes no sense to pay speculators a profit. There is no rush to buy.
2900  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Available: Insider Info on CoinTelegraph Ownership on: October 09, 2015, 07:23:39 PM
If I'am interested on knowing the owner idendity it's not because I'am a writer but because CoinTelegraph is known for their scams and they should be stopped , I personally don't think you should be selling this but you should share it with the community How much you are looking for this ?
Btw , I assume that the owner name is Dime and he is from Russia ?

I agree that the community should know who the master of puppets behind CT is, however I do understand how website's and traffic work as well and whoever would do the exposed story on CT ownership would have their numbers go through the roof and become the hottest news site in crypto overnight. If I could afford this, I would put up a forum and make it my first story but I can not afford anything like that right now.  Good luck to whoever gets this info and makes it front page news.

Uh huh. One new account selling inside information promoted by another new account. Good luck with the sale, I do hope whomever is considering this deal insists on escrow. Myself I would never pay for information.
