2881  Economy / Economics / Re: KYC for penny money? on: April 03, 2019, 10:14:14 AM
They could sell your identity or use it for identity theft. It is not worth it giving away your personal information. We are in crypto because we like anonymity, so giving away your personal information goes against it.

Those who do KYC for penny usually submit fake information and IDs.
2882  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How big is the role of the government in the development of Bitcoin? on: April 03, 2019, 08:10:11 AM
The bitcoin community and its developers are the ones developing Bitcoin. The government has no role in it. The government though can greatly affect the adoption of bitcoin in their respective country. If they allow or ban bitcoin can deeply affect adoption progress. But nonetheless, bitcoin cannot be stopped because it is decentralized and no central government can stop it.
2883  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC now above $5k, seem like its not just a pump? on: April 03, 2019, 07:09:09 AM
Still too early to tell, it just has been 24 hours and the price is still spiking. It seems that no one has bought the pump yet even after reaching 5k levels for a while. It immediately went back to 4900 after reaching the 5k level. I say we can find a new bottom once we break in 5500.
2884  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can bounty hunting be considered a job?? on: April 03, 2019, 03:17:34 AM
It is still considered a job to me since you get paid to do it and you spend your time doing it. But you cannot consider it as a professional job nor list it on your resume when you apply for a job in the corporate world. Whether it is a job or not, it is only a label. It should not affect the bounty hunters as long as they do their work and they are happy in what they are doing.
2885  Economy / Economics / Re: Changes in the bitcoin price predictions with google trends. on: April 03, 2019, 03:00:18 AM
There is a correlation between the bitcoin price movement and google trends. But you cannot use that to predict the future price because it works backward. By the time google trend shows up, the price has already peaked and you will be riding a downtrend already.
2886  Economy / Economics / Re: Time for investment on: April 03, 2019, 02:13:12 AM
Any suggestion for things that we could invest and make money at the same time

You have been a little bit late for your investment, the price pumps a little. If you want to put some investment you can look on some ICO's that is currently doing their sale, but make sure you are scanned it very well, you should look for their whitepaper and the team behind it although it will took time but it can lessen the risk that you may encounter.

It is not too late though. The price just started pumping and there is a lot of space the price can grow. But before he starts investing, he should know the fundamentals first of the coins he wants to invest in. If he blindly follows all the suggestions here, that can end very badly for him.
2887  Economy / Economics / Re: The bulls are back, bitcoin on the way to $5k on: April 03, 2019, 01:51:01 AM
I will give it a week and see if it holds or see if it breaks 5,500 and no dump is happening. The last time we saw a bull ran, it shoots from 5000 to 20K. This could be the same as well.
2888  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The 100k sports betting experiment on: April 03, 2019, 01:13:45 AM
Is this diary for your own consumption only? There is no way for us to verify your bets because it is in code. You do not have to detail how you make your picks, but it is more entertaining and educational for those who follow your thread if there is a way to verify that those numbers are factual.

2889  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solutions to KYC complain of some Bounty Hunters on: April 02, 2019, 08:48:54 AM
the problem and complain about KYC from  bounty hunters and any ICO participant is that these ICO scammers are only asking for KYC documents to first pretend they are legit while they clearly are scamming and second to sell their personal documents on the dark net and make an extra amount of profit from it.

This is the same concern I am worried when joining bounty campaigns that require KYC. The information we are giving away can be used in identity theft. This is also the reason I stopped joining bounty campaigns. I used the first solution OP stated. There is plenty of campaigns you can join without giving away personal information.
2890  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Just another gambling strategy! on: April 02, 2019, 08:30:55 AM
Strategy in gambling is not that necessary thing,

There is no strategy on gambling on chance games because it is based on luck and you are betting against a house that has an edge. You are meant to lose on those game but it is still fun to play. If someone wants to set a strategy, it should be on sports betting because there are stats that you can rely on basing your bets. By knowing the game, you can make a good judgment of the result of the game. There is still a chance you will lose but not as great in chance games.
2891  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you watch the matches you're gambling on on: April 02, 2019, 08:11:06 AM
I think it is important in sports gambling to know the game you are betting on. By watching the games, following the news and trades on the sports, you can make a wise decision on the team you are betting. Besides, it is more fun to watch the games if you have money riding in it.
2892  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Strategy to overcome losses .. on: April 02, 2019, 07:51:51 AM
You are right, it is hard to take a loss especially if you are dedicated to the game. But if it is just gambling, I do not take it too much. Gambling is just for fun, and losing some money in it is fine. I learned not to take the loss seriously in gambling because if you do, it will crumple your life. Focus on something more productive than gambling. Recreational activities will help as well.
2893  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin to paypal new method on: April 02, 2019, 07:13:57 AM
Are you endorsing ExWallets exchanger? I made a quick search about this exchange and I found too many negative comments about the process. I will not risk my btc in such an exchange. I prefer to do a conversion with person to person. I feel safer that way.
2894  Economy / Speculation / Re: Whats with the sudden surge ? on: April 02, 2019, 06:25:39 AM
Is it the SEC that approves 2 bitcoin etf's? Just search it in Google.

That is an April Fool's joke. There is no approved ETF yet. Or maybe they believed the joke and the price surge. hmmm

AFAIK, there is no basis for this price surge, so I am thinking it is just P&D. But it does not mean we can't take advantage of this great opportunity.
2895  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin "BIG" Green Candle on: April 02, 2019, 06:02:33 AM
I am trying to find some reasons why the sudden surge in price and I can't find one. Then I thought this is crypto and maybe this is another fabricated price surge. This is a good chance to get some cash out and wait for the price to fall back to the previous support level.
2896  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A day with Bitcoin on: April 01, 2019, 11:40:14 PM
There is a service in my country where I can convert bitcoin into fiat in demand. So if I would do what Op have done, it is not that hard. I will not have to wait for someone to pick up the phone and convert my btc to fiat.

But I think, the convenience of converting btc to fiat is counter productive. There is lesser demand for shops to accept btc since most people are converting it to fiat. This is reality, atleast in my country.

i would like to see someone try it in a day without converting btc. I know in some countryit is viable.

2897  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Warren buffet now investing in bitcoin on: April 01, 2019, 01:10:08 PM
LOL! I think you should send a link to verify this rumor is true, otherwise I will think this is an April Fool's Day joke. Warren buffet is one of the most critical bitcoin critic, it's hard to believe he will invest in bitcoin.

Everyone knows this is an April Fool's day joke. He would never endorse bitcoin. He just claimed that bitcoin is not a currency.
2898  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investment in ICOs decreased by 5100% on: April 01, 2019, 04:57:16 AM
As compared to the Q1 of 2018, Q1 of 2019 saw a dramatic decrease in amount of investment done on ICOs. The amount collected by ICOs has been decreased by 51 times as compared to previous year.
https://cointelegraph.com/news/report-icos-raised-118-million-in-q1-2019-over-58-times-less-than-in-q1-2018/amp
Remember the price of bitcoin could give a huge impact to the icos too, i remember bitcoin worth more than 10k in the first quarter of 2018 and this time it has touched its bottom. Investors are searching for promising ico and that makes the competition becomes very strict.

A lot of investors in 2018 were scammed, and most ICOs did not generate any profit. These could be the reason investors are appalled in investing in new ICOs. Unless we see improving performance on projects engaged in ICO, we will not see the rise of investors putting money on it.
2899  Other / Meta / Re: KYC is now required for Bitcointalk on: April 01, 2019, 02:07:05 AM
Theymos got me riled up as well until I saw the gender choices, politically correct much. Now I am out to commit a crime because I need to list one to get verified. ;-)
2900  Other / Meta / Re: KYC now required on: April 01, 2019, 01:26:24 AM
I can't complete the KYC. I am out for a bit to complete my first crime. Which crime do you think can assure me of a verified status?  Cheesy
