2881  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Mining in layman terms *how you can join it with mathematics* on: May 20, 2020, 08:22:34 PM
let us examine the concept of mining in more detail. We are not talking about the labourers going with their tools in the forest for a potential precious stone or metal , we are talking about the mining which with the help of mathematics have generated the most talked about cryptocurrency – Bitcoins.
The people who are involved in mining , they might not be amazing mathematicians , nor do they need a degree , they do need an amazing machine which is able to solve that complex problem whose chances of being solved is 1in 13 Trillion .
Mining have dual benefits , first it gives the miner a reward which is worth all the trouble , secondly generating the hexadecimal number makes sure the hash rate remains high for the network security , miners have to ensure ,or more accurately the software has to ensure that the bitcoins is not duplicated and all the transactions proceeds safely.
Mining is a more elaborated version of computational mathematics , the miners have to guess the 64 digit hash correctly before anyone else gets lucky , which would need a very good software plus LUCK.
One would have to use permutation and combination to solve the problem on paper and trust me it is really hard .
Only a 4 digit number you have 10,000 possible combinations and for the 64 digits I don’t think I should even start writing it .
For example if you are solving a problem which would need a random 4 digit number and you can repeat then , you have 10 choices for all the digits , 10*10*10*10 , really hard to express but yeah , its really a hard job to do .

P.S. I wrote this article because apparently my dad told me I should start solving the mining problem and earn some Bitcoins , he was considering making me solve it with a pen and paper because apparently our news channels don't do a good job explaining anything .  Grin
2882  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the best advice for Bitcoin ATH investors ?? on: May 20, 2020, 07:48:28 PM
I do think the following qualities can help you long way :-

1. Patience , wait it will all be good !!

2. Timely checking the prices of your investment

3. Always be one step ahead and read the news from trusted sources

4. DO NOT FOLLOW anyone!! Not on Twitter , not on YouTube.

5. Make decisions wisely , think 10 times before you sell or buy and take into consideration how it can affect you in the future.

6. Always keep track of your profit and losses so that it does not get messy in the long run .

7. Do check for scam accusations periodically if you are investing in Altcoins or a new ICO

8. Keep some of your amount in a exchange wallet downloaded offline so that you can actually sell or buy at the right opportunity , Cryptocurrencies can change their prices drastically , you don't want to wait for your money been transferred and such

9. Make your local community with respect to cryptocurrencies and all so that you can actually do the trading locally without intervention

10. Do not buy BTC or any other cryptocurrencies from individuals you don't know about or third party sites which are not recognized . Always check the reviews .

Hope that helps .
2883  Economy / Economics / Re: Did COVID-19 Bring Any Positive Sign? on: May 20, 2020, 06:15:11 PM
The whole world is now passing a crisis moment. COVID-19 has broken down the economy. It has taken many valuable lives and made the world’s medical treatment helpless. The question is,  Did COVID-19 bring any positive sign? I want to describe some points which are being possible by dint of this Culprit Corona.

    • Environmental Improvement:
The environment is passing the happiest moment now. The level of sound pollution has decreased tremedously. The amount of led and carbon-di-oxyde in the air are decreasing in the tolerable stage. The ozone layer is repairing its scratches. The environmental eco-system is being tighten.

    • Tightening Family Bindings:
People were busy in their job or business. Very few times was possible to spend with family. Now maximum people are staying at home and passing most of their time with family members. As a result ties of the family bindings are being stronger.

    • Enhancing Online Business and Marketing
We know world COVID-19 has stopped the activities of industries, firms and businesses. People are now being motivated to involve in online business and online marketing which is beyond the affect of any culprits. Online job and marketing has increase tremendously than before

    • Creating Digital Employment
Corona Virus enhances the area and opportunity of digital employment. People are now engaging in different online jobs. Many self employed activities have also been created that help to increase the digital employment.

    • Expanding the Knowledge and Use of Technology
As people are now passing idle time, many of them who didn’t involve in technological attachment are trying to familiar with digital world for online shopping, online business, online news, social contact etc. They are using computer, internet, web browsing and other technologies. In this case, I say, corona is expanding the knowledge and use of technology.

    • Expanding the Crypto World
To use the present lazy time, Many people are seeking different online platforms to invest their fund. Many of them has already invested in cryptocurrency. Many governments of the world are thinking for advancement of digital currency where cryptocurrency has a priority in the line. So, Corona is helping to expand the crypto world.

I expect to add your valuable opinion.

I do think this is very correct but at the same time I do think we should remind ourselves that we are somehow in the fortunate section of the society, that we have access to Internet and other services , even though we are struggling harder with the day to day activities.

When I was in class 9th , I read a phrase in our political science book

The Rich is getting Richer and the poor is getting poorer

But I do think this is the first time in my life when this statement have been extremely true for the society. People who are able to afford basic necessities can actually apply for a job .
People who do not know how to use computers and all are helpless in this situation.

Environment needed the break from the humans , I think we did it to us , with the Amazon wildfires , with the Australian Bush fire , the whole world had to repair for us to breath again .

A very well known fact * the fires were started by humans to clear the patch of land and then use it for agriculture*

We just got it back.
2884  Local / India / Re: Crypto ATM in India. Would it be worth it ? on: May 20, 2020, 05:44:59 PM
See the problem is not with the ATM's being installed , the problem is , the ban was just lifted and then unfortunately we got into quarantine , jobs are very less at the same time investors are highly unlikely to go out and sell their cryptocurrencies.
For 2 more years people will have to buy and sell Bitcoins like they usually do , trust me I have been using Zebpay since years and I have never seen any problems with anything except for the strict rules they put up . At the same time I do think that instead of ATM one can easily use an exchange.
ATM's can be used in a time of need but won't work :') we don't have that many active users plus they are diffused to various locations , the ATM won't be profitable and the company will inturn drop it after some years.

2 years for Corona virus to go
+
1 year for jobs to resume
+
1 year for people to start looking into crupo
+
1 year for companies to install ATM and all after doing research

- 5 years.

Plus its India I would make it 10 until and unless the company has money to speed it through.
ATM's will only work if there are bunch of them at good locations.

They should put in normal voting machines where people can vote if they need it or not and one with the Highest number of votes , that area ( might be Banglore or Delhi ) should get one established for trial run .
2885  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin as a leading currency? on: May 20, 2020, 05:05:39 PM
Bitcoin have stayed the top* crypto* currency since years . I do think it does reflect a lot that Bitcoins is also helping out other cryptocurrencies too. We are able to use Altcoins section here which is a great deal.

Most trade pairs are actually connected with Bitcoins.
Some altcoins depends on Bitcoins because users are sometimes not able to buy them directly.

It is supporting the whole system , at the same time the price of Bitcoins is undeniably amazing for the traders and investors.
It does offer more opportunities for everyone to work and to sell their services. At the same time the popularity of  Bitcoins is comparatively higher , I do think Bitcoins is a safe bet , plus with the volatility traders are able to even involve in Day trading and Holding for the long term .
It is a leading Cryptocurrency.
With respect to Currency I do think it is very localised to the community members .

I would just leave this statement from Google here :

While active bitcoin users are estimated at 5.8 million, PayPal boasts 235 million active users, Mastercard has 35.7 million American users and another 604 million active international users, and Visa accounts for a whopping 336 million American users and another 736 million users globally.

This is self explanatory , users are actually a lot but the application of Bitcoins in terms of Currency have still not been exploited fully .
Applications are limited, government have tightened the restrictions hopefully future will be better.
2886  Economy / Speculation / Re: Possible to Manipulat bitcoin price?? on: May 19, 2020, 08:49:51 AM
Okay , so I would try and explain why I think it is possible to do so .
Reasons:-

Market is controlled by Whales , which accounts for 50% of the total Bitcoins owned by anyone. therefore it is very easy for them to control the prices .

Whales are responsible for pouring out the money and selling Bitcoins changing the price drastically, it have been proven over the years.

In August 2019 , the total number of Whales hit the highest number of wallets considering the past , therefore the manipulation of market will keep on happening for years to come .
2887  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How big is Bitcoin compared to all world's Money?? on: May 19, 2020, 05:59:55 AM
I found this very interesting website with some cool images.
All images from visualcapitalist.com
https://money.visualcapitalist.com/worlds-money-markets-one-visualization-2017/

Bitcoin in yellow, ethereum is blue and others black.

World debit is my favorite lol

So much room for bitcoin to grow.

Edit: It would be boring to put derivatives graphic here, as it is too big

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5249398.0
This is the topic that I started based on the same grounds ,it does have some useful data regarding the Bitcoins and economic correlation if you wanna check it out , I do think it is very good that the community members are actually concerned about the potential of Bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies being used at its best. It is one thing , using cryptocurrencies, but it is another being a concerned member of the society.
We have not yet reached the full potential of Bitcoins.
Fiat is not stable , not for the time being , people are running out of the market . It is really inevitable , the next time any pandemic strikes the government so gonna crash hard ..
Cryptocurrencies are actually helping people with jobs and government sector is making them jobless . I do think we have reached a point where people can already see what is more beneficial for them .
World debt is going to kill the economy in the upcoming years and that would be the end of everything, people will starve until and unless they start exploring other options. We should share the knowledge of cryptocurrencies with people we meet or chat.
Remember that it's something that will grow on Sharing.

2889  Economy / Economics / Crypto's economic value is surprisingly low :'( on: May 18, 2020, 04:06:06 PM
"Bitcoin accounted for just 0.4% of the world's money.
Bitcoin was worth only about 1.6% as much as the world's gold supply.
All cryptocurrencies combined accounted for less than 0.7% of the world's money . "
(Taken from investopedia.com )

"The current number of unique active users of cryptocurrency wallets is estimated to be between 2.9 million and 5.8 million"
(Taken from Cryptocurrency benchmark study )

Taking into account the number of users of cryptocurrencies , it is quite shocking to see the world economy they are accounting for . It is both shocking plus unreasonable to see the abilities of cryptocurrencies being limited by both government and people.

Small percentages might be insignificant but we need to understand that it does play an important role in establishing something. Cryptocurrencies have huge potential . 1 BTC might be worth more than most of the stocks out there but the overall value in the papers is surprisingly low.

"Stock market capitalization as percent of GDP, 2018 - Country rankings: The average for 2018 based on 63 countries was 70.95 percent."
(Taken from the Global economy)

What we can do to push this percentage up ?
* I do think it is really important to educate people about the cryptocurrencies like Bitcoins, most of them still call it a scam ! , We need to answer these questions as a professional to them .
Considering the immense potential it has , even if one person introduce Bitcoins to 10 people , it's economic value will inturn increase , making it more beneficial for the whole community.

Why is it important to do that ?
Economic value of something does reflect largely on the thing itself , we have been asking government time and again to consider cryptocurrencies seriously , if we efficiently introduce it to normal people , even take time out to make sure they have a wallet installed in their mobile phones , it would someday interest them into learning more about it , it would make sure that cryptocurrencies are considered *normal* , *real* , *beneficial* .

Also to all the people out there who are accepting BTC and other cryptocurrencies for their services , you are already doing a valuable job for the community , feel free to share your experiences .

Please feel free to add your points and counter points , constructive criticism is highly valued since am also learning and this platform is for discussing your ideas and thoughts not for fighting  Wink

2891  Economy / Economics / Re: US is so poor that president trump constantly attack China. on: May 17, 2020, 03:45:26 PM
See problem is China have done something horrible, even if the virus did not originate in the Labs , the government failed to control it , now the whole world is suffering. They sushed their own doctors when they stood up against the government.
They tried their best to not let the world know about this . When the countries asked them for the virus information they did not give it .
I do hate Trump, trust me .
But what China did is horrible and they need to pay for it trust me. Not the people , The government. The people are never at the fault .
They even scammed other countries by giving faulty medical appliances !! Like seriously?? The world is right now facing a pandemic and you are doing this ?
The government lacks the common sense , they should understand that because of them the whole world is now suffering .
Therefore it is right if the US wants China to go through an Investigation to determine the cause of the Virus being spread believe it on not a country's true power , true strength does not depend on the money they have .
It is more connected with the Values the Government, the People displays.
2892  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Be a professional gambler on your own way. on: May 17, 2020, 06:58:28 AM
See you don't need to be a professional gambler , you have to be a smart gambler .

Take into account your positive and negative outcome, prize , losses .

You need to try and keep track of your winnings and losses. .. don't just go in and get addicted. This will be very bad for you , for the long term.

I do think you should even use a little bit of mathematics to try and find out in which game your chances of winning are high.
2893  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: J.K. Rowling, Author Of Harry Potter Is Interested in Bitcoin, Time To Short? on: May 17, 2020, 06:01:06 AM
On Nov 5 , 2018 Gwyneth Paltrow tweeted about the Bitcoins , she was trying to spread awareness teaching people the basics.
Hugh Laurie apparently brought Bitcoins and made it public.
The funniest thing is about Mike Tyson , who not only invests in the Bitcoins but also have ATM's with his signature face tattoo.
See there are numerous celebrities out their vouching for cryptocurrencies and Bitcoins .
What we need to do is hope that their fans understand that it is not scam , wonder or not but many people do label cryptocurrencies as scam , even right now I have seen people come up and ask me about it.
Celebrities being open about the Bitcoins is the first step , with time it will only increase the members of the community.
2894  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bestsellers: Local Hunger for Bitcoin/Blockchain/Cryptocurrency Knowledge Rises! on: May 17, 2020, 04:57:27 AM
Yes even where I live right now we have the option to pay in Bitcoins online in some stores , this is Preety amazing considering few years back , Bitcoins were banned and now they are making sure to expand it's horizons.
I hope soon enough we will be able to buy the pizza with Bitcoins here ! That is not yet available.
As a person once said *Bitcoins is the Currency of the future* Whosoever adopts it first will be able to establish stronger immunity in the future regarding this sector.
Even I have started accepting Bitcoins in exchange of goods and services .
Hopefully all will go well .
2895  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins joins the bank on: May 17, 2020, 04:52:56 AM
One might already refer to the article stated where the banks around are allowing people to buy the Bitcoins using their accounts , which was previously banned.
See the thing is , Bitcoins is a Currency which can never go away even if the government an everyone will put a ban on it , it will stay forever.
Now that banks are not immune to the market ups and downs and right now they are facing a lot of problems , whatever they can do to increase their customers , they will do undoubtedly.
Therefore I do think that it is only reasonable for them to do so .
2896  Economy / Economics / Re: Is a real estate crash/dip due? on: May 17, 2020, 04:05:43 AM
"Man may come and man may go , but people won't stop making babies . "
The population graph is ever increasing. Real estate is a place where apparently everyone can make money at the right time. There are countries with such a big population density that in one room 10 people are sleeping. I do think real estate is something which is not going to show significant amount of dip ever .
There might be instances where it goes down but trust me it is just a matter of time before it all goes up again .
Multinational companies are always looking for a piece of Land where they can establish their own network. Even if they people cannot afford these companies pay a hefty sum . I do think real estate is the safest bet you can ever play.
2897  Economy / Economics / Re: Americans hoarding cash doing more harm to their economy? on: May 17, 2020, 04:01:54 AM
Not have just them but it is also the banks and multinational companies, they have brought shares in the foreign market and are now trying to get some profit. See no one is going to sell it in low, the government of every nation is pleading people to sell them. But they themselves are in a big loss more Over after a while when the situation recovers , there will be huge benefits for the people who actually brought at the time of Pandemic.
I do think on a personal scale they are not experiencing any short term problems but they are degrading their economy themselves without even realizing.
2898  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING: Skill-based vs. Chance-based on: May 17, 2020, 02:41:46 AM
Even if you think that the blackjack only requires skill trust me sooner or later you are going to realize that the company makes sure that no one , literally no one wins more than they have spent.
I do think even if it is a skill based gambling , it still is somehow monitored plus there are set of computer programs specifically designed to make sure no one person wins a lot.
The chances are always good in the skill based section , the lucky based one is something that I don't think one should become addicted to, but some of the games are Preety addictive in that section I must say . It is always changing and have so many variety , the skill based is fixed to 1-2 kinds .
I personally prefer the luck based ones..
2899  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig wright found to have plagiarized his PhD-not really a doctor of anything on: May 17, 2020, 02:36:29 AM
He is a con man trying to take advantage of Bitcoins, since the founder is absent, he wants to take all the credit from the community and rise up
DAY BY DAY we run into something which is very off against him , I do think once and for all the government should investigate him and trust me we will find 100 more things , the is not worthy enough to be talked of .
Do no spend time on him , he is always trying to get the public attention all the time , he might be the murderer of Satoshi Nakamoto who know ? He is someone who should not be be trusted . One thorough investigation and he is done.
2900  Economy / Economics / Re: Money History - Introduction to Ancient Exchanges on: May 16, 2020, 07:41:21 PM
I still remember the time when a man offered his sheeps to ask Mr. Obama for her daughter's hand in marriage .
This might have been somewhat an overstatement and weird for some people , but in developing countries , day to day you actually come across exchanges like this .
Even my Grandma sometimes sells clothes in exchange for utensils. It is very common.
In developed nations it is already cash/card . But there are countries where people actually sell their hair for basic necessities.
I think it is good to see some remnants of history beneath all this .
