Right now today its trading at $10461 per bitcoin. The prediction is with just 21 million maximum supply it will reach 1 million bucks per coin one day.
Gold has been one of the most popular investment for centuries. Every country or government be it in the past or present always prefer gold reserve over their own currency even to prepare themselves for financial meltdown. Right now GOLD is being traded at $1425/oz.
So my question is which one you would chose for your investment ? Which one you would chose to outperform the other ? GOLD or BITCOIN? Please tell us with a reason why ?

Well, in my view, we should invest on this field which we have information and skill, May be gold is more profitable or not, but i have no experience in gold that's why i will choose Bitcoin. I know about bitcoin from 2015 and bitcoin is great investment for me, so definitely i will choose bitcoin. I have only one reason that i have skill and knowledge of bitcoin investment and this investment will give you profit which you know about it very well. |

I am not that big fan of lotteries because I know chances of winning in gambling for me would little better than those winning in the lotteries and better I can try my luck in the gambling where I enjoy the game and the atmosphere as well. And even if I do not win anything atelast I had enjoyed the moment in the casinos with some beverages and it is worth it than playing the lotteries for me.
The probability of winning from lottery is very low, but there are people who have won lottery on mathematical calculations. People who aren't with good knowledge about gambling used to try their luck through lotteries. Recently one of the biggest lottery win happened in UAE and the winning amount is $3.5+ million and the lottery ticket was bought on borrowed money. He is too much lucky man who won millions in lottery on a borrow money. It is not good for us because even though we are failing and repeating the same thing will easily harm us in many cases. Accepting defeat in business is good but in gambling not suggestable because we don't know whether we are going to win for the rest of life through gambling.
It is actually the vice versa, and the whole point of this thread is to prevent gamblers from chasing their losses. Yes, we don't (and we can't) know whether we are going to win, so we must accept our defeat before starting playing and thus save ourselves from the otherwise possible big loss. Preventing a big loss is equal to big win, hence the title of this thread. I agree with you, if we stop ourself to play continuity in betting that meant we have saved ourself from coming loss in gambling. Actually it is normal thing for you and me and also good gamblers, but it is hard to accept defeat for addicted gamblers, they can't accept their defeat in gambling, they fight till the end and in the end they always in loss. But in my thinking, accept defeat, it is better than you keep losing your whole money. |

Seeing my winnings and still want to get another win and at the end end up losing all my gains to the gambling platform. Exactly. FUD will always remain no matter what. There are many bitcoiners and die hard bitcoin followers who are standing on their grounds for bitcoin but not everyone has the ability to hold this coin for a long time. It needs determination and perseverance.
People who are involved in crypto for few years have seen bitcoin prices to move from 1000$ to 19800$ and then back to 3100$. And when it seems bitcoin will be buried, it has again gone up to 13000$. We know how bitcoin works and we all knows that bitcoin should never be sold on fud because fud is only to make the retail investor panic and the institutional investors to get more coins for cheap. |

Another bullish prediction but in the end, it didn't even went to $13,000. I have enough of this bullish predictions already. I'll just wait for the movement of Bitcoin and will accumulate more base on how I read charts. This is another news hype for Bitcoin but unfortunately, it didn't happened. I think the investors matured a bit regarding news hypes.
You are right. There are always many people that called themselves expert people but they only make some guesses about bitcoin's price. I personally don't pay attention to such people and their predictions. Just see the predictions, most of them are saying that bitcoin will reach 14000$ - 15000$ but when it will happen ? No one is telling us this. The bitcoin moved around 12,000$ and then went back to 11,390$. There are very few real traders who can perfectly read the charts and predict precisely. |

If you'll watch the video from the OP and read a couple of articles on the case, you'll see that he was playing games with positive EV, so there's no wonder he profited in the end. But I would compare his behavior with someone who buys out all goods with big discount leaving other people without opportunity to benefit from the discount sale. That's what he was doing basically, because it was meant that many participants of the lottery would win bigger prizes than they usually could. I think parlay is not for people who play it safe, if you do a parlay but the odds are still small, by playing safe like over 0.5 goals, then it's not a good thing. because the risk won't be equal to the profit you will get, at least I will parlay the odds around @5 and above, it will be better. Parlay would be ideal for those who are risk takers and not those who play safe. Its the confidence that makes people bet parlays and if lucky win them. If your go for the higher number of bets in a parlay you are making it more prone to losses without any doubt. So a 5bet parlay can have a significant loss if you lose even just 2 of them. Most gamblers like the risk though so they would without thinking anything more bet on those games that they feel confident about. Non-parlay, parlay and martingale systems actually have a high risk. Anyone who starts gambling means they are ready to take risks, whatever system they use. And for me parlay are indeed quite ideal for gambling, but keep in mind that parlay will not be ideal with a high level because gambling will be more difficult than trading. I myself usually use the parlay system up to level 2 only, when reaching level 2 I will return to the initial level and so on. Gambling is not a trade and the risk of gambling is far greater than trading so if you want to find it safe it is better to use a parlay system up to level 2 only. Without using the strategies like parlay & martingale, the gambling is still risky, isn't ? So there is no harm if we sometimes use and try these strategies. Being a gambler we should know these strategies, when and how to use them. |

I've lost big. Over the last two or three years, I've lost 60K in total. It was almost my entire savings.
It started out with a large investment in bitcoin when the price was about 13K.
When the price dropped to below 4K, I lost all hope after waiting forever and gambled it on bitcoin gambling sites trying to triple it up, just to make my money back.
I lost that and a lot more. Never imagined it turning out this way. Especially after the price went back up.
I don't have a lot of close people to turn to nowadays. It's hard to get through each day feeling horrible. Just needed to reach out somewhere.

Many people loss in gambling over time. There are infinite stories where people come in gambling with the hope of earning but leave it empty handed.You should have known by now that gambling is the most risky game. Few tips which are shared many times like never go all in, never play/bet big amount in a single game even if you are sure about the game result.
We can never be sure upfront about the result. the only scenario what i can think of are the 1.01 payout bets, it wont make sense to not play big bets if you are aiming of the smaller gains. Even the odds of 1.01 are risky because sometimes even a 100% easy bet fails and in that case all our money is lost. There is no point in betting with only 1.01% percent profit. |

When winning, I think everyone's experiencing that 'more greed' on themselves. Like we want to win more. Since it's fun. The feeling of winning is fun that's why we always wanted to win and that's when the greed comes. We don't get satisfied with 1 win and want to win even more, not thinking what if we lose.
When we started winning, we get even more greedy and this lack of control on our self is the main reason of our loss. I think the main thing that people think of is the unresolved dreams that any person has about becoming rich, owning an island, cars and so on. All these are just dreams and need hard work to obtain. Nobody becomes rich by gambling - its the hard truth - rest of you might disagree but I know the truth. However the false belief is what makes people gamble more thinking they can win big but they are actually making the casino win by playing. If you see it the other way, that casino owner is actually living that thug life.  People unresolved cannot be fulfilled in a day and all of sudden by gambling. Only those people dream come true who are skillful and have patience. People want to make one big bet and win it making a lot of profit, it does not happen in most of the time in the real world. |

I once lost 26% of my portfolio in three short trades, in less than an hour and a half.
It was brutally crushing.
Weeks of hard work gone in the blink of an eye.

My confidence.
Confidence in my skill, confidence in my ability to control my emotions, confidence in my analysis.
Without that, there was no way that crypto could the salvation I so desperately longed for.
And so I set out to rebuild that confidence, brick by brick.
For the next 30 days, I traded only a completely insignificant amount of money and I documented every last detail.
That helped me control my despair while validating the effectiveness of my strategy.
After rediscovering my groove in those 30 days, I slowly ramped back up to trading real money.
In the end, learning from that experience proved far more valuable than the short term damage to my portfolio.

Lottery means that you take part in it with certain amount and if your name is chosen you will win big amount else you will lose your investment. So cheating is possible if there is some insiders. Who is the person that changed your life for the better? As far my life is concerned, the person who changed my life is Bruce Lee.  Bruce Lee was more then just a martial artists. He doesn't get enough credit as a spiritual teacher for personal development. He used martial arts and meditation to get to know himself. He trained his body, he disciplined his mind and he expressed his soul. He was an artist of life. It is just astonishing what he could accomplish in the short period of time he was on this planet !
