2881  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save as food inflation jumps more than 11% in a year on: September 16, 2022, 09:16:11 PM

Supply of the products I think is still flowing there is just inflation where we find the price too much. To save I guess you can just take 2 meals a day like a Brunch at 10:00 AM, that is like fasting. Or just do some diet at least this is good for your health. But still, stock up on some food before the price goes way higher than the last time you check.
2882  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When betting becomes to high on: September 16, 2022, 02:04:52 PM
Have you ever had an experience betting in which you knew that you were going over the limits of you finances and still continued? I have one playing a game, it was absorbing plenty of my time and despite me knowing it, I was kind of hooked on it. It was not a financial problem, but left me wondering how easy is to actually fall into a bad habit and how difficult is to break it.

I have also experienced the same if you mean betting $300 just to win $40 because of the odds given by the bookmakers. This is more than what I can afford to lose but I've tried because I'm almost sure the favored fighter is well-fit and confident to win the match.  If I did lose the bet, I'd probably think of not doing it again. As taking most of my time, I think hobby usually consumes your time.
2883  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Clarity on KYC verification & online gambling. on: September 16, 2022, 01:35:40 PM
I understand the importance of KYC verification to be carried out by casinos, but since the introduction of use of cryptocurrency in gambling by online casinos and other betting services, does KYC verification from online casinos and sport betting services not directly go against the anonymity that cryptocurrency seeks to provide to people? Does it mean that gambling online anonymously is no longer possible?

It appears that way. But it's up to you anymore on how you can remain anonymous. You could just stop using crypto casinos that are asking KYC or you can use your very anonymous wallet to gamble in casinos that don't ask for KYC.

Cryptocurrency is not banned or illegal so there is nothing wrong to it. But there is also nothing wrong if one wants to remain anonymous so do whatever you need to do to stay anonymous if you wish.
2884  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: September 15, 2022, 01:35:19 AM
To hype everyone up:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5niaQyq4iGo

Intense face off between the two, and it seems that both of them are ready for a war. It's going to be a great weekend match for everyone and for sure everyone's bet is already in. Noticed though that GGG seems to be not as weight drain, I mean yes he fought at 160 lbs most of his career and then he jumps to 168 lbs here, but you can see his face and his jaw is like round and full unlike those previous fights of his, just saying. So better invite your friends this weekend and watch the fight in PPV.
Thanks for the link.

As expected that there would be some slight physique change and i had noticed it too but its not that surprising considering that there's a slight bump on weight
but lets see if this one wont really be resulting into some sort of slow down.
Im already readying up for this upcoming weekend which would really be a good fight to look upon.Hope it wont disappoint.

GGG sounds not very confident or he wasn't asked the right question to say what has been needed to say but for the love of sport and Canelo wants to bring a good show for the people this Sept 16 which is the independence day of Mecico. Amazing how embarrassing could this be if Canelo loses the fight but Judges may really be on his side.

It's because the interviewer didn't asked the right answer or he just put GGG on the spot. So I don't think that he is not that confident is this fight, he is smiling and acknowledging the crowd but it was obvious a pro-Canelo. And that needed 8 lbs could bring something good in GGG, I think if he decided years ago to move to this division, he can do that. But obviously, he chooses a weight that he dominated for years and that is a good strategy for his career.

Yes, it could be he is put on the spot and the language barrier probably all he could say is "Come on guys".
But Do you think he is also worrying that this is all for the show for Mexican independence and this fight has to be won by their hero?

No matter how I would want to make it look like a fair fight, the judges will most likely be on Canelo's side again.

2885  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin all over news so not unknown fiction anymore on: September 15, 2022, 01:27:53 AM
So is  ETH actually they are all in the news, particularly the Merge. It's like being hyped by huge investors. I've driven the main highway in my town and saw some cars with BTC logo. I don't normally see it here in the remote city but there it is.

We that is very early in this industry could be rich guys in town if things go well. I have to say #WAGMI and overcome this recession.
2886  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone else feeling let down by crypto Play to Earn gaming sector ? on: September 15, 2022, 01:10:21 AM

I'd be optimistic about P2E games also if the teams are developing in a platform where transaction costs are lower for like cents since most gamers that might be interested are kids. If the prices get higher every time, these kids will find it too expensive. They will have to wait for another bear in order to buy and participate like in the Axie today. The hype died after this crash and gamers realized there is no happy end to every cycle unless they also know how to trade in the market.

2887  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is your diversification strategy? on: September 15, 2022, 12:55:26 AM

Are you also figuring out which could be the best investment to have while there is a recession?

I have no diversification but all in crypto from BTC to some altcoins kept. Not Ideal probably. I quit the stock market, it would have been profitable if I have invested in oil and crude companies. Would it be too late to invest in it?

2889  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would you stake stablecoins now? on: September 14, 2022, 04:17:41 AM

Beefy is not a well-known platform to stake. UST belongs to Terra we all know what happened to it. There are stablecoins to each platform that you can stake but staking stablecoin right now might not be a good idea since we can see prices are bullish.

We passed to the point of the lowest prices of crypto and converting them USDT to staking coins could be profitable. I bet the majority who have ETH after the merge will consider staking thier ETH even in the exchange pools.
2890  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Engineers, Investors Sue US Treasury Over Tornado Cash Sanctions on: September 14, 2022, 12:50:04 AM

They must have a lot of funds in thier wallet being frozen. OFAC is still SEC doing all it can.

Hard to win even if they have the chance because of the argument being laid already, OFAC will just counter like it's their wallets that are sanctioned and not these users. This controversial designation will extend to sanctioning more platforms in the future even the DEX like the UNI.
2891  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Casinos vs money laundering. on: September 14, 2022, 12:23:10 AM
I don't think the casino will look into it. Unless the authorities had already given them the ultimatum. If the user submitted the required KYC and the coins are clean, business goes on. The casinos themselves are often laundering by mixing the money with thier profit, I suspect the streamers hired to do the marketing for them are somehow involved without them knowing.
2892  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to Overcome a Bear Market in Cryptocurrency on: September 14, 2022, 12:12:15 AM
It's really hard to overcome a bear market. It gives traders emotional stress and sometimes it's heavy. There are even reports where other people can't bear the bearish trend and their life becomes worst after that. From the very beginning, crypto traders should understand that it's not always that the situation will favor them. The bull trend is really amazing but it's just common to have that trend be cut for a period of time.

Let's remember that there's always a rainbow after rain. Always remain responsible even if we are seeing our assets turning red continuously.
If the trader doesn't want a big profit out of the bear market then it is possible to safeguard the portfolio without much of disturbance out of the varying market fluctuation. As quoted, there's always bull market after the bearish trend. So, having patience will make the traders profitable. A good trader will make profit unlike the market trend, because he knows the right time to make a buy and get out of the market.
Definitely it’s mostly patience and the right attitude of the trader towards a bearish market. We cannot expect for the market to keep on moving up and become bullish all the time, there’s always a time for bear season right after every bullish trend. So just continue to take advantage on every opportunity and buy whenever it’s a good time to buy. You’ll certainly chase for more profits in time as long as you remain patient and focused on your goal.

Being a trader requires long patience, that's the truth.
If you are not, then, this activity is not for you. Because you will lose money without a fight.
This is why most traders are always glued on their computers because they need to see what's going on with the market.
They can easily spot possible opportunities because they are practically living their day to day life watching the market.

It's often the day traders who need to be glued to the charts, it's a hard task. For long-term traders in the spot market, just wait for the market to stable before trading again. When it's time for the bears, they just move thier portfolio to stablecoin and wait because they know it's going to take months to a year before the trend changes since they know already the cycle. That's how they overcome this bear market. Taking the leverage of their income.

2893  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: September 14, 2022, 12:04:49 AM
though we knew Inoue is much faster and accurate against butler but yet none can assure that there will be a knock out though many of us expecting this to come as the fight is a Monster against Human here.
In how many occassions Inoue had proven His ability and capacity so I am looking also for a knocking down.

It's pretty safe to assume this fight will end in a knockout. The difference in talent level is just too immense. The only real question is for how many rounds will Inoue allow Butler to survive?
I know that we're all expecting a good beat from Inoue but I don't want to assume that this will end with a knockout. Butler also is showing good professional record such as Inoue.

But in all fairness, I just don't want to safely assume that it'll be like that. Well, as for the latter question, IMO it's valid that it's in the hands of Inoue if he want to end it quick or not. As I've said, Butler also has the recorded stats that's also impressive and will surely do his best to beat Inoue.

Every fighters have that same chance if they managed to prepare better from their opponents then they can the fight.

Butler has that experienced and he will use that to take his chance beating Inoue. We still don't know if who's going to win

it's just an open opinions and speculation by the fans basing on how they've seen both fighters Foght before.

He has a slim chance base on records as well. When they say It takes a monster to beat a monster, it literally what it is and Butler is just not one to qualify. Butler is a champ but doesn't have the power KO. I have watched video speculations regarding this fight and what they are saying is still Naoya that will remain to be the top.

2894  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is a game you would like to see in an online crypto casino? on: September 13, 2022, 05:17:53 AM
It seems to me that I may be wrong, but fairly simple games with not intricate rules attract the bulk of gamblers, really complex games should be considered from the point of view of the interest of professional players.

-  It is really better to play a game that is simple but you can earn a lot, as long as you have self-control and don't be greedy for money.

Now, if there's anything I want to see in casino games, maybe it's the color games, a game where you guess what color will come out and then you bet your money on the color you want, and what's even better here is that there are with players who will also bet on the color they want and they can also bet on the color you chose but you will be paid in cryptocurrency.

You're right. As long as someone knows his limitation, there won't be any problem. Betting what you can only afford to lose and having a good strategy and patience in betting will be someone's armor whenever he is playing. Of course, luck still plays a part in winning. Someone should just remember to always practice risk management before making an action.

Regarding casino games, I heard that color game is popular in the Philippines particularly in the province area and in city as well that has little amusement parks. I haven't tried it yet, but it seems fun reading and hearing other people's experience about color game so I might give it a try when I visit one near my area. Hopefully, there would be a casino game even locally that involves it for us to try. Because incorporating it in international and reputable casinos is still blurry, might as well start in local gambling website first. Although that is, if the gambling website owners see it as an income generating.

Every country has its own game preference. As much as we can see Chinese are more inclined to play Mahjong or Pai gow poker which are their own kind of game. The Philippines are more of a cockfighting craze which is they prefer betting.

I found some crypto casino with the game Lucky 9 but restricts the game to numerous countries. It might just be good to see it available for all.
2895  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Things to keep in mind before accumulation of Bitcoin on: September 13, 2022, 04:53:50 AM

According to the source, the accumulation was spotted as BTC price refuses to fall below $30K. Those who accumulated must have been also the ones selling when the price plunged down to $20K.

Short-term investors would find it unprofitable to accumulate when the bear market isn't over. It would make sense for them to buy when the market is about to form a bullish momentum. It's why I find it too early when Bukele bought BTC above $30K,  its okay if this is going to be for longterm however.
2896  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Who makes such predictions? on: September 13, 2022, 03:01:21 AM

You could buy now if you think you will still be alive by 2030,  I guess you are lucky to benefit as the price will be 0.06$, that's still worth the wait. You can also prepare the tokens for your kids as their birthright. I don't really see the use of BTT and why investors will be interested in it since even when we don't have BTT we still can download torrent files.

Doge took almost a decade to reach $0.01 but this is because Doge has been the longest-used coin we are betting on in casinos. Doge because useful while BTT isn't.

2897  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Rise of Mobile Gambling Is Leaving People Ruined and Unable to Quit on: September 13, 2022, 02:47:07 AM
You have to discipline yourself, this technology is here to stay and it's your decision on how you will live your life.
Self-discipline is everything. These people can leave modern society for a while to treat themselves remotely at proper centers on the countryside, but sooner or later they will have to come back to the real world and make use of technology to engage socially with other people and even to work.
Nope even how disciplined people are? yet in our time now? we cannot live without gadgets and internet as the world now lives with those technology so this means one thing that the discipline they needed is to control themselves from gambling and nothing more we can do about it.
Quote
Otherwise it's not possible to live a healthy, confortable and normal life. Then there is nothing addicted people can do besides educating themselves and learning how to limit their emotions and impulses towards so much accessibility, informations, tools and pleasures digital devices proportionate us.
actually it is the experience that will let them learn mate , because gambling addiction is indeed for the people that has no self control or those people that has eager for everything they desire.

This is where the government will come useful and will take action to block casino websites that even the use of proxies will not work. And then regulations for casinos also will be tighter and penalties for gamblers caught will also be scarier. They'd find it necessary to do this because it can affect the lives of families. While it may be effective, the tech-savvy gamblers will still be playing.
2898  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC Fight Night & Main Event: Sportsbet.io Predictions & discussion on: September 13, 2022, 02:24:30 AM
What an event and leaving the fans in the Apex wanting more!
They witnessed a grappler taking down his opponent as perfectly as possible and it was a sight to behold.

Now why did Holland even try to touch gloves right after the match had started?
They do that when they meet in the middle of the octagon at the very beginning.
Don't trust an opponent like Chimaev to be your friend or friendly once in the ring.
That was his first mistake. Then from there it went all down hill.
That choke hold finished him off quick and clean. Once again Khamzat was not touched in this match and goes 12-0.
They are saying his next opponent who could atleast be worthy enough to step in there and make it challenging for him would be Colby.

What does it implicate when Kevin touched gloves right after the match had started?

All of the fighters in his division can quickly be taken down by Khamzat from Edwards, Usman, or Covington. He is now considered the baddest villain in UFC. If he isn't going ahead to fight Edwards because Dana wants Usman vs Edwards rematch, then it's going to be hell for Covington. He could start planning his injury today to find an excuse.
2899  Other / Meta / Re: Identifying the OP at a glance (SMF patch) on: September 12, 2022, 02:49:57 AM

Would it be too much to add a shading color to OP and his subsequent posts in the thread?

Most of the time actually the subsequent posts are not noticed by the users who reply to the thread because they only see the first post. This results in a discussion that has repetitive answers while OP has rebutted and added changes to the situation.

I almost fall for this. I have been DCAing doge since the beginning of the year, I'm losing value so I wanted to make more of it thru this defi as I have also discovered dogechain. I was also considering it, I just didn't have time to look at it closely. Thanks for confirming that Dogecoin is not really affiliated with Dogehain.

Can you compare this dogechain the same with that Sovryn in the Bitcoin RSK network?
