10 percent stake is minor ownership. If you have the money, then even you can purchase a 10% stake in Dream XI. Recently Facebook purchased a 9.99% stake in Reliance Jio. Does that make Jio an American owned company? Chinese investors have significant stakes in almost all of the major corporations. But the majority stake is still owned by the public and the other non-Chinese promoters.
You need to view in the context why VIVO withdrew from the sponsorship for a year, if people are that patriotic you need to let go of every Chinese investment rather than picking and choosing and Dream XI has major investment from Chinese conglomerate Tencent and they are a big investor in diverse sectors. I am not a fan of cancel culture and i do not think that will help anyone. The fact remains that Indian companies where not willing to take the bid as the BCCI tried to lure Reliance and TATA but they reject the offers.

Caribbean premier league started and i do not think there are many fans here.

Marlon Vera Def Sean O'Malley -For me, 2 out of 3 bet win is a great thing I really think that 1 lost is a coincidental one and because of an injury during the fight, well this is just my opinion and no hard feeling with the fans of Marlon Vera
This is the second time he is having the same injury during a fight and i think the body of Sean O'Malley is brittle and could get injured easily and in this fight Marlon Vera was smart enough to take advantage of the situation and finish the fight while his other opponent Andre Soukhamthath failed to take advantage of the injury.

The calf kick is effective against some fighters and i have seen the same injury for Michael Chandler during the fight and he is usually a durable fighter but the kick on the calf by Primus had the same affect like we saw with Sean O' Malley and for any fight fans of Michael Chandler we might see him in the UFC as he is a free agent and he is meeting with Dana White and i hope to see him in the UFC.

Anthony Johnson is returning and the announced that he will be going to the light heavyweight division because Jones said he is vacating the belt and DC retired.
Anthony Johnson is planning to return for over a year and early he was said to be coming back as a heavyweight fighter and he is massive and how can he reduce that kind of muscle to get back to light heavyweight.

England team dint got chance to bat as well or say they dint had any practice of batting in this test match. Also, on last day till now it is raining and might just end without even a ball being bowled.
It looks like the rain god's have listened to your cries  Cheesy. I was wondering why England is batting when the match is done and dusted rather than taking rest and going back to their hotels and there is no way a result could be made but it is good time to improve the average of batsman as there is no pressure about a result Cheesy.
Hope we will be able to see the next match without any interruption and if there are signs of rain its better to go for a draw .
2887  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mike Novogratz and Dave Portnoy Say Buy Bitcoin and Not Gold on: August 16, 2020, 07:21:04 PM
More institutional money flowing to bitcoin? It's obvious shilling, but we all know that they have a point here. And as much as majority here hates Mike N with his exorbitant predictions or sometimes gloom and doom, hehehe.
You have the answer to this, David Portnoy is an internet celebrity while Michael Novogratz invested majority of his asset in BTCitcoin and Ethereum and it is not surprising that they are shilling for the cryptocurrency market. The market is sustaining and recovering whenever there is a major sell off is because institutional investment is pouring into the market as they know that the market will rally in the coming months and it is a good sign for all the investors to earn the profit if you are smart enough to take advantage of the market situation.
2888  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Chainlink is a shitcoin and will dump to zero on: August 16, 2020, 07:53:22 AM
don't fall for the hype, this shitcoin should never be in the top 5 even the top 200. It is a pump and dump by a group of scammers led by sergey. It has no real value and is useless.
When the price started to pump from $2 i thought the same and ignored and then when it touched $10 i thought it was a risk jumping into the coin but now the price has reached over $19 but i am not confident to invest in it considering the risk because the growth was huge in a short period of time but what i would like to know is the reasons you think that it is not even eligible to be on the top 200 list where there is a ton of worthless shit coins who never pumped like this Cheesy. If you could care to explain that it would be great as many are not aware of the flaws you are talking about.
2889  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: India considers another widespread ban on Bitcoin on: August 16, 2020, 06:50:02 AM
Seeing how they handled the demonetization back in 2016, I'm not that surprised that heavy-handed measures are still being proposed there. Imagine how it could affect the price if Indian lawmakers actually managed to pull this off.
The past government was ruled by an economist named Manmohan Singh and the present government is ruled by a gimmick tea seller with Photoshop images to misguide the masses and they rely on identity politics and social media influence to spread the lies and twist reality and they are doing the best they can do and so is the reason they could get away with the biggest blunders like demonetization ruining the economic growth and forcing businesses to shut down and yet they were able to win the next election because of the media manipulations and the fake news they were able to convince the illiterate masses and hence they were able to win the popularity contest in the elections.

On top of that the financial minister when asked about the decline and recession in the automobile sector said that is caused by the millennial generation who uses Uber and Ola and when you have people like this as the leader what should we expect  Cheesy. No idea what the government will come up but if the ban is done against the constitution rights then people will fight against it in the court of law even though it takes a long time to get the results.
2890  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: August 16, 2020, 05:09:53 AM
@Juggy777 BCCI is powerful but not powerful enough to dictate any bilateral series of other countries, CA and ECB are not dummy. Grin
The power of BCCI has become a fork story that majority believe that they could control any country setting up their series  Cheesy. It all comes down to business, India produces a much larger amount of money and if they are not playing against these teams they have the power and authority to make any series possible to keep the ball running as they have media obligation to produce matches just like the BCCI having obligations with the IPL and other series to generate revenue.

I believe you know how legends from Indian cricket had their retire? I can't remember anyone having a good retire at all. Nevertheless, MSD deserves a better retire but what makes his mind to retire now? He could have played some matches and go for retire.
It was evident that MSD was not getting any support from the team members especially the captain and the selectors about giving him any farewell series and MSD thought it was better to call it quits rather than hanging in there and getting embarrassed if he is not selected for the next series.
2891  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: August 16, 2020, 04:19:44 AM
^^^ I am really disappointed with Herbert Burns who missed weight and he was not even competitive in the fight against Daniel Pineda who was controlling when the fight went to the ground and on the fight and Burns gassed out trying to improve his positions and he failed miserably on the ground.

Sean O'Malley was a unfortunate one as he injured during the fight and it looks like he broke his right leg and Marlon Vera seeing that took the opportunity and went for the finish, if not it would be a great fight and i was rooting for Sean O'Malley to win but it was the worst ways to get defeated.

And now the main event. I am rooting for DC to win and retire.

Edit:
One hell of a war for the main event and Stipe Miocic retained the belt and Daniel Cormier should retire as he is not able to fight like he used to and age has caught up with him and Stipe Miocic controlled majority of the fight.
2892  Economy / Economics / Re: Fixed amount vs. infinite coins on: August 15, 2020, 08:10:52 PM
BitcoinBTC maximalists "selling" it since 2015 as an alternative payments.
It was not a selling point but it was a fact further back during 2013 when online markets started adopting BTCitcoin as an alternative payment and it went crashing down during late 2015 when the network started getting congested and the transaction fees kept on raising.

Last 3 years there were lot of adoptions of BTC Bitcoin mainly on trade markets.
But still no real daily market where the people use bitcoinBTC as a payment - just get out and try to buy a food for Bitcoin - almost impossible.
We need to have a scaling solution for you to see people using BTCitcoin on a daily basis to purchase goods.

Limitation of amount for a coin like bitcoin or any other altcoin as well low inflation makes it only worth to use as wealth storage.
Gold were also a payment unit till middle of last century, but now it is only wealth storage and speculation object on market.
Same is almost happen with BTCbitcoinBTC, moreover it is to volatile to be used as payment.
Completely bullshit, the limit in the number of coins has nothing to do with the adoption, it is the other way around, you cannot transact small amounts without shelling out a much larger fees and until that is sorted you cannot considered it as an alternative to fiat payment.

Except Satoshi Nakamoto will defreeze his million BTCbitcoinBTC there is no chance for bitcoin to became real payment alternative to 100 of fiats and inbetween 3000 alternative coins, some with infinite supply.
Heard about Satoshi the smallest divisible unit of BTCitcoin  Tongue. You need to understand that around 22% of BTCitcoin mined are lost and you really do not need those to be the alternative to fiat currency, all you need is a much better scaling solution where users can spend much smaller units of BTCitcoin at a much smaller transaction fees.
2893  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Rise Due to Lower US Dollar? on: August 15, 2020, 05:30:39 PM
No one can predict the future, but increasing global debt, slow economic growth and expanding central bank balance sheets have the potential to weaken the dollar and investors seek safe areas in assets like gold and Bitcoin.
The factors like global debt and a slow economic growth and on top of that the pandemic has put a lot of strain to the economy and you can be attributed that the rise in the price of BTCitcoin and other cryptocurrency market is due to these factors and no one can have a different debate as there is no concrete evidence on why all of a sudden huge investors are investing heavily in the market. You cannot call the cryptocurrency market a safe heaven and it is yet to prove that the market will sustain this growth if there is a global economic meltdown but these huge investors know that the market usually rises after every halving and they might be taking advantage of that common factor.
2894  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Donald Trump signs executive orders banning TikTok and WeChat on: August 15, 2020, 08:59:00 AM
And so the 'war' continues with China, as President Trumps signs executive orders banning Tiktok and WeChat.
India started this technology war by banning several of the applications from China citing security concerns and the same is followed by the US, the amount of money these companies loose is huge and hence they are trying to negotiate with other local businesses to carry on with the business in banned countries as they are loosing millions every month because of these restrictions.

Lately we have some topics about this one and seems the community is divided. And it seems that Trump really take this "serious" threat from China. Let's see how Microsoft will react, they supposedly shows intention on buying TikTok.
In India TikTok has approached Reliance to purchase the application for the Indian audience and in the US they have approached Microsoft and the decision depends upon the government approval.
2895  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: August 14, 2020, 05:36:40 PM
Sean O'Malley had a good record both in his Amateur Career that has 9 fights that only has 2 losses and on his Mixed Martial Art Record that now has 12 matches, even though he is just a recent fighter on UFC I think he fits the bill for a shot for the belt in the future.
Marlon Vera is the toughest opponent Sean O'Malley is facing in his career and his two losses in the amateur bout was by submission and Marlon Vera does have some slick submissions and never lost a fight by knockout. I am going with Sean O'Malley because of his striking skills.

^  Yup.  Cormier is also 41.  He'll prolly gas eventually no matter how in shape he is...  Just like the last bout.
The last time Cormier was coming after a surgery and he was not able to wrestle because of a stiff back and this time we will see him incorporating his wrestling skills and you have to take into account the cage is really small which will help Cormier to cover the distance easily.

Stipe Miocic looks different and hopefully it is going to be a long fight.

Pretty cool stats, didn't know about it. Where did you find this anyway, guess through commentators?
Pakistan was bit lucky and rain is their only ally so far.
I got these stats from sports star magazine as there was a world cup review edition during that time (was moving and cleaning everything as i am shifting my home and found a bunch of old magazines) and when i watched that i saw many dropped catches and i used to wonder i rarely see these butter hands in the past and the most famous missed catches actually costed them the world cup in the past, like Herschelle Gibbs dropping Steve Waugh and literally the world cup in 1999 and actually Gibbs was throwing the ball in the air to celebrate and not actual butter hands like we see today but it slipped and that cost them the world cup and then the famous 1992 world cup when Imran Khan himself promoted himself to motivate the team and he was really lucky that he got a life in the form of dropped catch and then went on to score the highest score for the team and winning the world cup.

But if you take a look at 54 dropped catches in the entire 2019 world cup, the standard of catching has gone down tremendously and every match you will see dropped catches which we rarely see in the past and there was a time when South African fielding standards were a benchmark to the world but now they do not have that standard and they missed many catches but if you compare the past strangely India just missed one catch in the 2019 World cup edition and the fielding and fitness has improved tremendously. The butter hands in the team are Rohit Sharma and Ishant Sharma Cheesy.

Rain is ruining the match, all the breaks Pakistan had made them loose their composure and thereby lost the wickets and the morning session is delayed by rain.
2897  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: August 13, 2020, 10:57:03 PM
English slip fielders showing some extraordinary talent by dropping sitter today  Tongue. They already gave Abid Ali 2 chances at slip. Abid Ali now need to play good knock for his team, not everyday you gets 2 lifelines in the test cricket.
The fielding standards and fitness have gone up from the past decade but there is a lack of catching skills and all the teams were dropping catches every match and in the last World Cup Pakistan alone dropped 14 catches and England dropped 10 catches and a total of 54 catches dropped in a single world cup in 2019 by all the teams.

Every bowler picked up at least 1 wicket and they might wrap up Pakistan within 230 at this rate. Only rain can save Pakistan now in my opinion.
From a good second wicket partnership Pakistan completely lost the plot loosing 4 wickets in quick succession.
2898  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Indian banks freezing bank accounts AGAIN ! on: August 13, 2020, 08:31:47 PM
Even though cryptocurrencies like : Bitcoins is legal in India apparently the banks do believe they have a power over the users and there have been statements from the verified users regarding:
1. Paytm freezing bank accounts which are involved in Crypto trading , OR , the accounts they suspect are involved with the trading of cryptocurrencies
I have read the news that PayTm is freezing the accounts of users that are dealing in cryptocurrencies even though there is a supreme court order but as avikz mentioned they are playing around the lack of rules and regulations and the bank has the authority to determine what they allow and what they ban and i believe there is some involvement from the government for them to ban the users dealing in cryptocurrency.

@akram143 as you mentioned there is another possibility that PayTm was used by hackers in the past to steal others account and purchase BTCitcoin and may be that is the reason behind this decision to ban anyone dealing with cryptocurrency.
2899  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Non DeFi projects starts going DeFi on: August 13, 2020, 06:39:37 PM
Be suspicious of any projects that just decide to implement DeFi all of a sudden when DeFi wasn't implemented in the project's features from the beginning, this is nothing but a way to take advantage of DeFi Hypes going on nowadays, if you are a deep crypto fan like myself you should be seeing few old projects that aren't DeFi from birth and start talking about implementing DeFi feature, I'm 100% against this act as it's unclean and dangerous
You need to be suspicious to each and every projects that are raising capital and they will change according to the trend and it is not that surprising as DeFi projects is the latest trend and expect many projects .

Take a look at the Yam token which is another DeFi project that burned out millions because of a security hole, so be wary when you are investing as you never know what the future holds, if you are planning to invest make sure you understand the risk involved.
2900  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you thought you had found the real satoshi with 99.9% certainty ... on: August 12, 2020, 07:40:39 PM
If you thought you had found the real satoshi with 99.9% certainty would you reveal the identity?
It is impossible to identify the real person behind the moniker as he did not leave many clues behind if not he would have been ousted by now and the only way to identify the person will be the way in which he paid for the domain he registered and for that we need the help of authorities to crack that as he might have gone through many layers to safeguard his identify.

With all these stipulation in place there is no way i will be able to identify the person and hypothetically even if i get the authority to check the payment layers i might try to crack that puzzle because of my curiosity but not to expose his identity to the world.
