I can see, what the tipping on Reddit is doing and I guess, payment for your time, is justified.
If you were faced with two options ~~Pay for the service vs Get paid to use the service~~ Which will you choose?
Get paid to use the service ofcourse, whatsapp was sold for 19 billion, what did the users get..nothing. It all went into the devs pockets Current IM applications, such as Skype or WhatsApp, use the information you provide to them for their own benefit. They maintain huge databases characterizing you and your behavior in an attempt to profit from it. From the networks that you create with your friends and family.
In this unique point in time, we are able to take this power from them, and keep the value we create in our networks to ourselves.
By disconnecting the application from its current axiom of generating revenue for its corporate owner, we can move development in the direction of supporting the network and its users. It becomes an ever-evolving social product, shaped to facilitate our need and desire to communicate. |

You see this is the problem. Everyone can make a semi convincing case for their coins, because many now do have a real dev that is working away to achieve something real for their coin.
Why don't we try to compare similar coins trying to achieve the same thing or very similar things to see which one really would be best to invest in.
for example.
monero vs bbr
dark vs xc
block vs supernet
maidsafe vs videoshare
etc
there seems a mad race on still for anon, social media, video and media sharing,
I guess we can only compare them on their proven tech at this point, so we'd need some smart tech guys to help us make a good comparison.
I'm now taking a look at opal and aero based upon some praise in this thread.

Transferring value through a messaging app similar to whatsapp on mainstream level has never done before indeed. With these promotions this concept looks pretty solid, what counts for me is being present in the public eye which you guys are delivering.

I just saw the youtube interview, great to see this kind of incentives to spread the word. I think we got a project here that actually might get big and using a Crypto (Gems) that does indeed makes sense. To see you guys roadmap for this concept and especially getting involved in the public eye getting attention is great. Also getting paid per development by koinify and targeting the average person, especially teenagers where there is a pretty big market to get in to looks promising. Do you guys have any plans to be part of Crypto or technology meetings? I think this is a very important aspect to promote your brand, especially in Gems case which is bringing something new to the table it should be part of these events and conferences. If you look at all these successful brands like Whatsapp, they have been present in these tech conventions. So my question is if you are considering to be part of such meetings?

I underestimated this project initially but now I realize how all crypto currencies, not only Quark, will benefit from having a global superstar interested and talking about cryptos. Yes, this is the first big game for a Crypto to be featured in and making it easier for the average joe to get involved with Crypto. But the most important thing for it to succeed is promotion when the game comes out. |

We should wait a while to see how it goes, rumours say the 'fud' was planned by shadowcoin members and competitors, Blocknet itself is a nice concept, they are releasing the proof of concept soon so lets see what happens. I wanted to buy some ITO but it seems to be "frozen" on BTER, still 530 btc to sell... and I dont understand the aim of the blocknet wallet ? it will be a multicoin wallet ? You can buy from Bittrex, but it would be better to buy from Poloniex since it's cheaper. The working concept will be ready Q2 2015, but proof of concept available soon. I'm just anticipating for now, but if the project delivers i think Quark can be part of it. |

And there is one more thing.... I am a bit reluctant to say this... but actually QRK is the most fu....ing undervalued asset in this part of the Milky Way. And it has nothing to do with Shaq. It is dirt cheap.

Quark dev didn't raise the whole 500k, but has done a lot of promotion for their campaign and did purchase a couple of promotional items for own activities, all this made partnership possible. They are very open to ideas and love to interact with their supporters. They liked our propose to add Crypto for in game payments, since it's a new technology, cheaper and faster and can gain them new supporters aswell. |
