2881  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the most discreet way to hide your crypto from thieves? on: January 30, 2021, 01:26:14 PM
First of all the two methods you have mentioned, both the Nano SD Card and the paper wallet can all be destroyed by water and fire. I don’t think thieves will know that you are into cryptocurrency if you’re keeping it to yourself, unless you’re the type that talks about it in public and get yourself involved in any crypto conversation which will expose you as a target to anyone that will have such intentions of stealing it from you. So, the first thing is to just keep shut and mind your business.

You can store your crypto anywhere, you can make use of even your smartphone and store it in a good mobile wallet and then use of one those privacy apps to hide the crypto wallet app so that anyone that opens your phone wouldn’t see anything related to crypto. Then you can use Trezor hardware wallet and keep it somewhere safe at home.
2882  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin's price drop to 30K healthy? on: January 30, 2021, 11:10:20 AM
There's no need to panic if Bitcoin drops to $ 30,000. Because after a long bull run it hit a price above $ 40,000. Indeed there will be a correction and this is necessary, so that the increase in the Bitcoin price is healthy and can go up even higher.
I wouldn't say right now the is the best time to buy BTC because if you ask me, the price is way higher than what it should normally be and maybe it would be a wise idea to wait for the market to settle down further before buying more. But there is a chance that the price doesn't drop anymore and another bullrun starts so don't take my advice and if anything I have learned from this crypto market, it is that no one knows what will happen next.

I personally think with such high volatility right now there will be panic if it reaches $ 30k.
but what is called a high risk investment we must be clever in addressing this situation ..
Unless it drops below 20k there is no need to sweat because lets face it, the price has almost doubled the previous all-time high and if it settles down around 25-30k its absolutely fine.
2883  Economy / Economics / Re: Miami mayor considers investing in bitcoin with public funds on: January 29, 2021, 07:02:33 PM
here's an interesting update from the city of miami.

no word on direct investment yet, but in reaction to the recent faketoshi/whitepaper controversy, they started hosting the whitepaper on the city's website: https://www.miamigov.com/Government/City-Officials/Mayor-Francis-Suarez/Bitcoin-White-Paper

is CSW gonna threaten to sue them now too? Cheesy
CSW can go ahead and do whatever he wants, there is no way any court of law would find him right in any sense, it is a laughing matter about how he doesn't even get his lawsuits accepted most of the time because any court sees what the situation is about and they just throw the case away. This is why if anyone wants to do anything about bitcoin related they do not have to worry about CSW since the dude is a complete idiot.

However Miami putting their public funds on bitcoin doesn't really sound like a good idea, I can put my funds, you can put your funds but Miami putting others funds into bitcoin basically. Could it profit them? Sure it can, however if they end up losing money, they are betting on bitcoin with other peoples money and that is a problem. If I lose money on bitcoin that is my problem, if Miami mayor loses money on bitcoin that means he is losing others money and that should not be acceptable.
2884  Economy / Economics / Re: Is there subject to study Cryptocurrency ? on: January 29, 2021, 06:23:09 PM
Want to know about that because I haven't much knowledge about crypto education. Seeing other's opinions I understand that there may some courses or institutions to make people know these types of platforms.
I can understand for someone who is new to the forum but you are here for 4 years mate and should have really good understanding about Bitcoins and how they work. Maybe you are talking about the technical details, which I would agree that even I struggle to understand how it works and its not like I am lazy but the system is really complicated and it took me some time to understand basics like how confirmations work, what are miners and critical things like what is double spend and how to avoid it.

There are videos from which I learned everything about Bitcoins and would recommend everyone to just search the topic they are curious about and then find videos on the topic. You can learn how smart contracts work (for altcoins) which is the future moving forward.
2885  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We once had a barter system here, but the government smashed it on: January 29, 2021, 02:51:46 PM
If something is not benefiting the government, they are always looking for ways that they are going to crack it down. As for BTC, I think it’s going to be a difficult case for them, they are not going to be able to crack it down and I believe they know that, so what they are trying to do this time around is to come into the platform and look for way to control it, they are doing their possible best.

Very soon whether you are making use of custodial or noncustodial wallet, they will be looking for ways to sip some information about you, especially those that are making use of custodial wallets, they are going to be the ones that will be used mostly by the government to extract information.
2886  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I am being mercilessly scammed by somone from the bitcoin world on: January 29, 2021, 10:06:41 AM
The only way you can avoid them is to just stay mute and not reply to any of those emails you’re getting from them, because if you reply they will know that the email is active and they will put more focus on you. So, just avoid replying any of their mails, and report them as spams, so that they wouldn’t be disturbing your inbox, they will all go straight to your spam mail and you can click once and delete all of them.

I also get such mails, and I don’t even have their time. Sometimes it’s due to where your email have leaked online and those hackers and scammers are just sending random mails to all the mail’s they have gotten to see those that will fall victim.
2887  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Eth able to break its previous ATH within few days? on: January 28, 2021, 04:06:16 PM
now it is clear that we are looking at this situation from a different perspective Smiley
And if you are trading with leverage, actually this approach is perfectly understandable.
As for ATH for this year, I also have no idea how much it could be, but I bet it will be over $3k. Maybe something around $5k.
I'm just talking about the next jump that I think should come this week. Well, as I wrote before, I think it is possible to exceed $2k in next few days. And probably you have similar feelings..?
I think with the indicators showing a huge increase in the coming week it is obvious that we are going to be doing better, even if we do not break over ATH price, we would probably get closer to 40k instead of 30k. Right now price ranges between 30-33k or so and that is a "low" number considering what we were, still a super high number considering what we were even before that but no longer at around 40k levels.

I believe with the current week we are going to be 35k+ for sure, not going to be easy and may not go over 40k but it will probably be 35k+ for sure. That is what I believe will happen and that should be great for any swing trader as well. Obviously in the margin trading world every single hour matters which is why they can't be as patient as we are, they may lose money even with 1k fall in the price, even if we go to 40k if we have a small fall beforehand they could be liquidated so this info may not work for them.
2888  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the most important cryptocurrencies other than bitcoin? on: January 28, 2021, 03:22:18 PM
Everyone will list the most known ones, there are some obvious legends that are no longer really interested by anyone but they are still there, famously stuff like namecoin and all, but at the end of the day if you check the coinmarketcap you get to see which ones are big and which ones are not.

You are not suppose to find that little "gem" that could worth something in the future if you are looking at the "most important cryptocurrencies other than bitcoin" because that question itself basically says what is the second ranked and third ranked and fourth ranked one and so forth because that means you get to actually check the list for the biggest ones.

I would say top 20 is enough, rest are still important but the gap is too big, if you check the top 20 and remove all the shady ones like bch, bsv, xrp and remove usdt because of being stable coin and not crypto coin, you have yourself a pretty good list.
2889  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP - Buy in or Bail out? on: January 28, 2021, 01:26:37 PM
I believe that XRP will still hold back even during the lawsuit, we should not forget that most of XRP trading is done outside US, therefore whatever the SEC says only effects XRP for United States users but not the whole world users in general. There is just a dark cloud hanging above XRP while this lawsuit is active but I strongly believe it will survive.
Most "trading" is outside of USA but most work Ripple does is still inside USA which means Ripple would be screwed if SEC decides to close shop on them and tell them that what they are doing is illegal. If that happens the company Ripple will be closed, and when the company XRP is tied to closes, that means price will be bad as well.

I am not saying they are connected, even without Ripple company we could have XRP trading all over the world, but that means all exchanges that work within USA will delist XRP, and all others foreign ones who wants to see good to USA will also delist XRP as well, which means XRP will be listed in limited places, and that would mean less and less people trading because who would want to trade in some other exchange just for XRP? A very few people. Hence I think it is obvious that XRP can't go unscathered if SEC decides something bad.
2890  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you deal with 'Selling early' regrets? on: January 28, 2021, 12:40:56 PM
You sell something and later down the road, that goes multifold.

How do you deal with such things in positive way?
That depends, did you lose money? If the answer is no, then I don’t see any reason why you should worry much about it. If you feel that you’re losing money then you should buy back the asset and wait for when you will make extra profit. This is how most of the people here are making profits out of this crypto space. Learn the strategies and always look for the opportunities.

I always have a target, and I never regret when I sell at that target, even if the market should move forward from there, I don’t see any reason for me to worry about it since I have achieved that my target I will even happy about it. The only time I regret is if I should sell my coins while at lost and then the price pumps.
2891  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What is the best cryptocurrency exchange for beginners on: January 28, 2021, 10:09:26 AM
If you are a newbie, you shouldn't get involved with too much money all that much, it is not a smart move to get into bitcoin with all your savings, it would end with a bit of a loss and you getting away and running away. I do not know how much you have, but if you have 100 dollars or more, that should be the max, even if you have 10k saved aside, it should be 100 dollars max, if you have over 10k, like let's say 50k, it should probably be more like 200-300 range, even 500 if you want, but I would still say 100 is enough.

On top of that you should know what you are getting into, if you want to get into bitcoin that is something else, if you want to get in with smaller tokens like defi projects that is something else. You should decide what you want to do depending on what you have and your goals. If you do all of that and spend some time around, you will get used to it and get in bigger.
2892  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the things to look for when buying Altcoin? on: January 27, 2021, 12:42:30 PM
There are lot of factors I consider before buying an altcoin/s or investing on it. Some of these are; the exchange/s where it is listed, it's volume in market, the team that develop the project, the community, and etc. I would like also to know what other traders consider, so that I can learn from them.
Yes. It's also good to know how much you want to invest, its risk tolerance, the exchange or trading platform where to buy, community behind the coin, the technology and its value, where the asset is heading, and the project's whitepaper. There are a lot more. Just keep on doing good research.
There are obviously countless amount of things you should check before you invest into the projects, however if you could make a list on excel about what you should check, and then you find out about a new project, you could always go to that excel, check what you should be looking at, find that and depending on that excel and how much that project covers, you could potentially make some profit from it as well.

These days those check lists are growing even lower, back in the day we only invested into projects with very good teams, after that it became just having a team was alright, nowadays we do not even care about the team anymore because there are anonymous projects people invest into. This is why you need to update your list time to time but at the end of the day if you have a list and check each project against that list you would be capable of finding better projects.
2893  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Cardano (ADA) coin hit $10 During 2021? on: January 27, 2021, 11:17:15 AM
Ten dollars in a year? Nah I am not really looking for a price that is as high as that, if you said somewhere around one dollar or two that would have been more believable and not this ten dollars, that’s very high. Even the price right now is like half a dollar, I think somewhere around 0.40 when I checked it. And the highest price in a year isn’t more than that price.

Cardano is a really good project and the team are doing great, so I am looking forward that there will be some changes. But, not as high as you have predicted here because we need to be practical as little as possible to face all kind of situations. I will be happy if ADA hits $10 but from looking at the current price scenario and how ADA performing against the fluctuations of bitcoin markets, I doubt about reaching $10 in 2021.
2894  Economy / Gambling / Re: The Unlucky One on: January 27, 2021, 08:58:35 AM
I was one of the lucky ones at that time to get 5000x you almost got it bro try your luck again  Grin
Today I was also lucky to get 688x multiplier also a little annoyed because after I lowered the bet then the scatter came lol
I was hunting this one for 2 days until finally I got this one. I hope you are also lucky

That is gambling man Cheesy. If you play long enough you are going to end up having great rolls, and have horrible streaks and all of them happens to the same person. It is not about how much you won or how much you lost, it is about how much fun did you have during this process. Let's assume you deposited 100 dollars and gambled with it until there is no more money, doesn't matter how long it took, the real question is, by the time your money is depleted, did you had 100 dollars worth of fun?

Because in gambling winning is a rare thing, not just one hand that is easy everyone can have a decent return, but overall depositing x amount and withdrawing x+ amount is unlikely most of the time. However if you know what you are doing that means you should know gambling is for fun and if you had fun as much as you deposited, that means you are in one of the lucky ones.
2895  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: January 27, 2021, 08:21:43 AM
@epicchamp
I think you should give them some time. Do not be worried about fortunejack doing anything shady because this place has been around for over 7 years now and they have been doing perfectly fine in profits so they do not need to steal 0.06 from anyone, that is the amount of money they earn in an hour so there is no need for them to ruin their reputation over money they could make easily with any bet. That means two things, either you are going to get your money back if you are right but you would be getting it a bit late so there is really no rush.

Or you have done something that is against the rules that you are not aware of (or are aware of) and that is why they cancelled your bet and kept your money. The only way to make sure we can know whats going on would be to allow fortunejack to explain themselves, when they do I have 100% trust that they will say something that will make sense.
2896  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wait for the dump on: January 27, 2021, 05:15:35 AM
Bitcoin is dumping!! Is this going to a repeat of 2017? Remember what happened in March when covid hit? The second wave is here and btc has been pumping despite that. What do you guys think? $100k still happening this year?
May be the current dump up to $31k levels a good buying opportunity for the people like you who wait for the dump to enter. Because, bitcoin is not being affected by the second wave, same way that a lot of other assets are not being affected, Bitcoin is not the only asset that is not being affected by the second wave of the virus.

As for Bitcoin reaching 100k this year, I don’t know about that, if you check in 2017 this is how people were still speculating when the price started falling after the bull run, and it never went above the ATH price till in like four years now.

So I’m thinking that the price is done for now, and we should be looking forward to 100k when next it bubbles, but it might not be anytime soon.
2897  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: [CHALLENGE] Can I go from $100 to $80000 in 2021 (+80000% Growth) ?! 😲 on: January 26, 2021, 05:33:02 PM
Hi! I just want to let you all know that my next video is a bit delayed unfortunately. This project was a bit more time consuming than I first thought. But an update is coming soon. Stay tuned!
I think people care about the latest situation more than the video itself honestly. I know that creating a video would mean you would make a bigger profit, and in case you fail your challenge and not make 80k with your 100 bucks (let's face it most people think you won't be able to, including me) you would at least have a youtube video income in that case.

However we care more about the numbers and not about the video, which means if you really trust yourself that you could make this type of profit, you do not need the few bucks that would come from youtube. In that case I would rather check here time to time to see how you are doing by way of text. You would just come here at the end of every trading day and you would write how much you made or lost and we would see if you are on the path to achieve it or not. This way it just looks like you are trying to get subs for your channel and that's about it.
2898  Economy / Speculation / Re: Your price expectations for 2021 on: January 26, 2021, 07:43:41 AM
I believe we have seen the top, all these drops and increases are telling us that we should not be hopeful about this year, even a 2018 like year is not out of question but why should this be a bad thing? Let's assume for a second that we have peaked at 41k and we will be going down all year this year and we are not going to recover and price will end with 10k or lower this year, why do you think that is bad? Because you invested money into bitcoin and you are seeing it go down?

Well, there is nothing to worry about that because you could buy and buy and buy more bitcoin all year this year, all the way down to under 10k keep buying it, and maybe your average purchasing price will become 10k? And if it becomes like that thanks to all these drops, next time price goes to 40k or even higher, you will be capable of making 4x or more profit for buying during a bear period. This is why going down or up doesn't matter to me, I can find a good thing in both of them.
2899  Economy / Speculation / Re: #Bitcoin is seeing the largest depletion of liquidity since years on: January 26, 2021, 07:04:57 AM
This is probably all about those huge corporations that bought bitcoin and took it to their own wallets, who would keep thousands of bitcoins on an exchange? Sure there might be few people but most of those super rich people have their own wallets and that is how they keep it. This of course drops the liquidity very very low because when you withdraw over 500k bitcoins from the market and put it on the wallets of those super rich organizations, that means there is less and less money available for trading as well.

I am not saying this is a good or bad thing, all I am saying is that this happened. There were less liquidation when we reached peak because that was "enough" for many, but there was less when we were 3.8k back in 2018 November as well, both sides have less liquidity because people reach the peak points, there is no real meaning to this.
2900  Economy / Speculation / Re: to sell or buy BTC? on: January 26, 2021, 06:22:58 AM
Bitcoin has support at $ 30k, if it is below $ 30k, then be careful, because it is possible to donwtren again up to $ 24k, this does look very likely because dumps also occur, it's better to place a stop loss at $ 29900, because it will save you, getting into altcoins will also make it safe because altcoin is so cheap.
My stop loss is around the 25k mark because I feel like that is a fair estimate for me, and not to mention that at that mark, my profit margin from selling my bitcoin is still large. I have this back up so low is because I want to have a safety landing when the bear comes. You have to be careful with altcoins though, there are a lot that are just a way to funnel money to the creator so do your research before buying one.
Try to put into stop loss with the support lines. If the price goes under 25k that means there is a chance it could free fall until 19k and that is a bit a bad situation for all the long term investors. However it depends on which side of 25k you put your stop loss to, if you put it to 25k and a bit higher, price could reach those levels and then go up, which would hurt you and you will lose money because you would be selling at the bottom and then price would be going up without you.

However if you end up selling at 24.5k for example, you will be capable of selling right after the huge support wall is broken and it will continue to go down and you will be capable of buying lower. That is why I suggest people to put their stop loss under 25k, not over 25k because 25k is a good support wall that may result with a correction above if it falls that much.
