2881  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: November 03, 2020, 07:14:44 PM

Lebron will get a teammates that he like, he even help JR Smith to get signed with the Lakers, so there's no doubt about Thompson, if he likes to play with him. Actually, Lakers already has a lot of big guys who can step up, I think Davis and JaVale McGee are good enough for this team, and if in case they'll add, just add a young players that are willing to play all out to save from big salary expense.
JaVale McGee have 1 more year to play for the Lakers.
Dwight is UFA.
So they have some free space but that aint enough.
They will need to let go some of the players to put a fair salary for Thompson.
Whoever it is, we dont know yet.
I just know Lebron James demands will be granted.
The perks of being a star in Lakers just like Kobe.
2882  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will happens to those DeFi project now? on: November 03, 2020, 03:16:33 PM
That fast?
Well then, ICO made a better hype in 2 years.  Grin

What will happen next? Same with ICO. Scam projects, dust and just repeating everything to gain some money but without a real goal. Until it is forgotten.
Then something new will pop out again.
This is a good lesson. Stay with old school. Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other good projects out there that still need support.
2883  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: November 03, 2020, 09:30:20 AM
But surely, that's around a minimum deal (at least) and not the usual deal he is used to back in Cavaliers.
Oh yeah, I forgot about the details of his contract.
Thankfully we have good members here.  Grin
Thanks, man.
Please correct me if I'm wrong or there is a new update.
He is UFA (unrestricted free agent) for 2020-2021.
https://www.rotoworld.com/basketball/nba/player/29684/tristan-thompson/contract

He's young, athletic, and aggressive below the rim. I guess he could be a target for the next season of the Lakers.
Just not that much salary as he receives in Cavs but a chance for a championship. Then, his "Big Brother" will be there.  Grin

2884  Economy / Economics / Re: Why the duck is btc at 13.526,98 USD ? on: November 02, 2020, 05:53:51 PM
Why the duck is a yellow stone called gold also valuable?  Grin
Traditional? History? Bible? Symbol of purity?
It's just a ducking stone.

We are in a different era now and as for my experience, I pay more using a plastic card at physical stores or a QR code.
Then, deliveries being paid digitally to avoid contact.
I think that explains a lot. Somewhere in the future bitcoin will not just be bought as an asset anymore.
2885  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: November 02, 2020, 03:01:11 PM
Is there any fan of Beasley in here? I've read a bad news how he acted against a family. This is hot news for him and his wife.

https://www.nba.com/news/minnesota-timberwolves-guard-malik-beasley-charged-with-threatening-strangers-with-gun

Not a fan of this guy, in the news it's "Malik Beasley ", I thought it was Michael Beasley because this guy looks like into drugs.

I've been laughing at his interview in this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jkRtHNhK2OA) as he looks high, so he was the first one that came into my mind.
Same. I thought at first it was Michael.
CBS made an article about this 4 days ago. I guess the NBA website is kinda late posting it.
I haven't followed the news and there is really no update up until now.
Marijuana and drugs. This is a big one if proven, he will lose his job for being foolish.

Lots of rumors getting out.
Lebron James might recruit Tristian Thompson.

2886  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Legit Airdrops, don't waste time with others on: November 02, 2020, 11:59:43 AM
I already stopped wasting time looking for airdrops 2 years ago.
AFAIK, most of it will just be dust afterward.
Just giving away coins/tokens is not that amusing anymore and then investors questioning why they are giving it away for free which scares them and withdraws everything they have.

Thank you for sharing but I think I am done with this.
I'd rather buy and let my wallet be clean with good tokens.
2887  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: November 02, 2020, 08:44:46 AM

Everyone is incredibly hyped about all this Nets staff things but we are talking about staff here and not the players themselves. Of course staff is a big deal, of course when you have great coaches and great assistant coaches you do get better results but lets be honest players are the ones that make a team a good team. Look at Lakers for example they had Frank Vogel and he is not a great coach at all, he is not a horrible one neither and I find him decent but he is not a master class coach at all, yet they won a championship. Look at Pop on the other hand, dude has been awesome for 20+ years and finally couldn't make the playoffs. So at the end of the day staff of Nets could be as great as it gets but the players will be the ones that will make the difference. I think KD and Irving would be a good pairing but thats about it, they are not going to make it to anywhere further with just those two, they need one more star to get the load off.

Do you think the Nets are weak on the player's side?
I want to quote myself but I freaking pressed the "delete" button instead of "quote". My bad.  Grin

I am just going to repeat it.
Dinwiddie, Allen, LeVert and Joe Harris.
These guys made a name for themselves and not because they have a star on their side.
They also made the playoffs because of their skills and hard work.
Nets might be the complete roster by now adding 2 all-around players like KD and Kyrie.
2888  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Know what bankroll management is in sports betting? on: November 01, 2020, 09:53:10 PM
Well, I think when you are just having fun gambling, you are smarter than the greedy types.
Most greedy type lose their composure and just put bets on anything they find as long as they think it will win.
Fun means you are calm also.
But there will always be a bad side of it, like you have too much fun and just giving away the money.

So to conclude. Too much is always not right. Always take a rest to think it over. Win or lose.
2889  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 3 myths about crypto trading tools on: November 01, 2020, 07:56:40 PM
Whoever says that stop-loss isn't needed must be an active trader and can quickly stop his losses whenever he has pending trades that are about to go in a loss.

Stop-loss has been helpful to me and just wait for some people to come and they'll say the same.

Yeah, I agree with that.
I am an active trader and I stop everything manually if I feel like it.
But, it doesn't mean a tool won't help. It helps to avoid a larger loss and it's an essential factor if you could save some.
Then, not all manual traders will be there. Sometimes, they will be out and a safety pin is needed just in case the price goes south. Hard south.
2890  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin breached $14k today on: November 01, 2020, 05:42:55 PM
$14k happened so quick I missed it.  Grin
$15k is just so damn hard to reach right now.

I am expecting a $13k to be the bottom when people can now use Paypal as a means of buying Bitcoin.
We all know in this forum most members would not transact by that means but now it is accessible to the real buyers without the middleman or Paypal as the middleman.
$1k up is not that bad. I won't be expecting more to avoid hurting my feelings.  Cheesy
2891  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fast food restaurants accepting crypto as payment method? on: November 01, 2020, 03:02:23 PM
As of now, I know some fast foods like Burger King are already accepting Bitcoin as payment but only in some countries.
Burger King Germany accepts it with their deliveries.

Photo cropped from https://www.bklieferservice.de/

Starbucks also but indirectly with the use of a payment application.
But sadly, I haven't tried it yet since I am not living in these countries.
2892  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: November 01, 2020, 11:02:55 AM
The coach becomes the assistant coach of his ex-player.
This is something weird but let's see what will happen.
Mike D'Antoni reunites with Steve Nash as Nets' assistant coach
New Brooklyn Nets coaching staff.
1. Head Coach - Steve Nash (former Suns 2-consecutive time season MVP)
2. Asst. Coach - Ime Udoka (former asst. coach of 76ers) - specialized in defense
3. Asst. Coach - Mike D'Antoni (former Rockets coach and Suns coach of Steve Nash) specialized in offense
4. Player Devt Assistant - Amar’e Stoudemire (former Suns played with Steve Nash and coached by D'Antoni)

Look at this Brooklyn team, they are now fully packed and ready for war.  Grin
2893  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Multi bets vs single bets on: October 31, 2020, 11:26:23 PM
I always prefer multi-bets.
Thankfully, Sportsbet added the betbuilder system and it helps when I only want to watch one game and bet for players stats and score.

Whoever told you that it was a waste of effort then I am on his side.
That is just how I look at things when it comes to gambling. My own humble opinion only.  Grin
I like taking the larger risk for a larger win. Below x1.5 and I'd prefer to just add another bet.

2894  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: During Bitcoin Block Halving Cryptocurrency Prices are expected to be.. on: October 31, 2020, 05:32:36 PM
I trust Ethereum will receive the impact from the Bitcoin halving but never for other coins.
That is why I also put some investment in ETH.

I think the value of altcoins should not matter on bitcoin halving but most of the time they are being pulled by it.
Maybe because they will be seen by buyers after going through research about bitcoin.
But, we should not expect much. Better, expect the worse so you will always be ready. Remember, Bitcoin up, altcoin down. (which just happened recently)
2895  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: October 31, 2020, 02:43:00 PM
Why CP3? There are other playera too tha are good and can play roles like the rookie of Miami heat players did. I say they should train hard their players instead of spending or trading to something that is valuable player but expensive. In my own point of view if I can handle a team I'd rather let the staff and players work in the training and pay them with incentives rather than spending too much in a trade. They can motivate everyone because success never comes easy and that will take if either they work hard in training and also train them to play smartly.
I don't quite understand where you are going here.
CP3 is the available player for trade. But because of his high salary, other teams cannot just take him.
It's his skills that are being paid for. If you train a new guy, it will take some time and that might be more expensive than getting a veteran which had been thru  ups and downs. He knows the drill and it can also help Embiid and Ben thru his knowledge.

If I wanted to trade Derozan, I would probably go with players who are great shooters and defenders and around 6'7 to 6'9 for Spurs so that they could put them in PF positions, that way they could run the 1-2-3 positions with their young players and play the 4th with the new talent and Center could be Jakop Poeltl and Lyes instead of Lamarcus.
Yeah, shooting guards might be their target now.
Pops is not the type to run a one-man team and I am guessing that is the case with DeRozan.
He needs to fill a lot of holes to make it a strong Spurs again.
2896  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Stays Above USD 13,000, Altcoins Take Hit on: October 31, 2020, 10:59:00 AM
Switch.

I think they are making profits now.
Sell altcoins, buy bitcoin. Make profits out of it then go back.
They are just waiting for the right time to sell. The hype from Paypal looks like it's calming down.
I bet anytime we will see an instant $1000 fall then it will slow down again.
Paypal buyers will be the ones left and it could be the reason why a new bottom will happen. If they will stay.
2897  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: October 31, 2020, 07:26:19 AM
That will be a good move if happened.

Sixers needs a reliable point guard so that Simmons can be more focused on his usual position, the forward position. He isn't that good in terms of playmaking as that's not his playing style.
Correct. Or Simmons could be an all-around guy who can pass while breaking the opponent's defensive position.
There is no problem with Paul since he is a shooter. If Simmons penetrates Paul is free to shoot the ball or it could be the other way around.
They can make a variety of plays with him on the team.

I think there's no plan to trade away either Embiid and Simmons. They can accommodate CP3's salary but they need to give up their good role players. It's fine though and takes that as the last attempt to chase the championship with Simmons and Embiid together and CP3's time (in good shape) is running out.
No plan. Not now.
Bring CP3, try it out if it will work then maybe they can keep the team and add more roleplayers.
But I think they will need to bring the team to East Finals again before that happens.
2898  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why DeFi is high risk investment on: October 31, 2020, 04:43:09 AM
With DeFi the risks are insanely bigger compared to ICO.
Before: High risk, high profits.
Now: Insane risk, insane profits.  What could be next? Grin

With ICO, I can go make deep research and filter good projects to at least make the 10 percent success into 20-30 percent.
With DeFi, it's difficult to see that. It's like you are investing blind. Almost like gambling.
2899  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: October 30, 2020, 06:13:33 PM
While with Rondo, as we all see him played with LeBron and Davis still fresh how he done his part winning the title.
Yeah, I am in awe watching him play. Steals, assists, and 3 point shots which he is not known for.  Grin
I mean for a 34-year-old dude, he is still kicking ass.

Holy sh*t!
76ers offseason preview: A Chris Paul reunion with Daryl Morey and Doc Rivers is too obvious to ignore

Quote
Few expected the Clippers to fire Doc Rivers even after they lost to the Denver Nuggets. Fewer expected Daryl Morey to leave the Houston Rockets after a 2019 contract extension, and fewer still expected him to return to basketball so quickly after leaving the Rockets when all indications at the time suggested that he planned to take time off to spend with family and explore other interests. Yet here we are, weeks away from the NBA Draft, and the 76ers have upgraded from one of the NBA's worst coach-GM combinations to one of its best overnight. Say what you will about Rivers' recent postseason miscues, but he is now one of only eight NBA head coaches with a championship ring. Morey doesn't have one, but he has always indisputably had a plan.

What do you think guys?
76ers can take the CP3 salary swapping one or 2 of their players. But it will not be Embiid nor Simmons.
Harris and Horford are the possible keys.
2900  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When Does Bitcoin Decouple From Gold? on: October 30, 2020, 03:43:17 PM
it is never out of nowhere though. whenever we had a big rise like 30% in one day it has been because price wanted to go up slowly (like 5% in a day) but it was prevented by manipulators and newbies so it turn into a compressed spring that when let go it sprung up to the sky. it is all the build up that blows up.
same with drops, if it is prevented from going down if it is meant to go down it suddenly crashes. but there is another case in drops which is when the panic sells hit and they are also immediately followed by a reversal rise.
I agree.
Man, is this starting to be a "Trading Discussion"?  Grin jk.
Looks like the panic sellers are doubting now. What could they be thinking? Do they want more?

OP, for me, I don't doubt when it comes to accumulating more bitcoin.
Maybe you should look at chart histories again and try to compare them again.
IMO, it's way far from how gold moves.

Thanks, mk4 for the chart.
