2881  Economy / Economics / Re: Need of the hour : Use the Crisis on: November 05, 2020, 03:11:31 PM
I do think about that all the time.
My first thought was also in the food industry but it needs a large amount of capital.
I love cooking but without the proper lessons somehow I can still make a good meal.

My second option was online jobs which actually worked out right now but I am still having the urge to start the food business.
Just don't know how to start it. Yet.
2882  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: November 05, 2020, 11:33:30 AM
Just to clear out the Eddie Johnson thing.
There are two of them with the same name.

The one is sentenced to life imprisonment with 100+ different charges and the last was sexual abuse with young girls.
He was called "Fast" Eddie Johnson. He played with Hawks and SuperSonics
Full name:  Edward Lee Johnson Jr.
Confirmed death recently.

The other one is mostly known in Houston. His last team in his playing career.
But what mixed it up is because he also played for SuperSonics.
Full name: Edward Arnet Johnson
Still fine.

I hope that clears things. This happens a lot and Eddie Arnet Johnson endured all that trouble.
2883  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum 2.0 is launched on: November 05, 2020, 06:53:39 AM
~snip
Here's the image progress of the Eth2 of Ethereum.
Eth2 deposit contract already launches, which that is the etherscan link OP shared.
For me, this will take ages to finally done, especially the deposit contract launch. As you can see here: https://launchpad.ethereum.org/
524,288 ETH and 16,384 validators to launch the mainnet. We are still far from here, but it's ok. This kind of feature of Ethereum really takes time, I understand how complex and complicated Ethereum 2.0 is, we are still a lot of time to fill our bags, lol.

Thank you.
Saved the effort of looking for the real news.  Grin OP's title is kind of a clickbait. JK.

Good news for every crypto enthusiast.
Looks like number 2 will stay in its position especially with the new update.
I am looking forward to the value of Ethereum that will skyrocket once again.
Thankfully, I have prepared everything earlier before it goes expensive.
2884  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Negative House Edge Crypto Casino on: November 05, 2020, 05:13:52 AM
Wait.
So if I am an investor then I would be in a delicate position here?
You are giving away free tokens because of the negative house edge.
The value may come up with "widespread adoption" as you say it. But, it will also drop when all those freebies will be sold instantly.
What will be my advantage as an investor? Or, should I just be one of those who will play the game to make more?

Are you not worrying that it may scare buyers?
2885  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading losses on: November 04, 2020, 07:01:06 PM
Same for me.
It was the right track on my mind.
Buy it, keep it.

Trading had so much risk. You can end up losing more in that method.
I thought before it was quick money to trade it because of volatility.
But without proper knowledge, it's not an easy task at all. Stay with what you can do. Don't force yourself into something you are not made of.
2886  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why most of us are losing money in sports betting? on: November 04, 2020, 04:57:31 PM
Honestly, I feel you, bro.  Grin
I have been losing a lot in basketball sports betting but thankfully, I also got lucky with some of my bets.
x18, x4, x5 odds. I take some of those bets just to equal the losses that I made.

That is just my strategy and nothing more.
Just look at the stats history of players and put an impossible bet sometimes.
If it wins, great. If it loses then come back next time.
Somehow, it works for me.
2887  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: November 04, 2020, 02:20:38 PM
We are so lucky that OP is still active though I haven't seen him participating in the discussion a lot, AFAIR, he also make a poll in this thread before, maybe he is already planning to make one now but if you guys have some suggestion, better put it here as I'm read he can read it.
Indeed we are lucky.
Some members will just leave threads that last too long like this.

Mock draft of CBS.
https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/2020-nba-mock-draft-lamelo-ball-falls-to-michael-jordans-hornets-warriors-cant-pass-up-james-wiseman/
1. Anthony Edwards - Minnesota
2. James Wiseman - Golden State
3. LaMelo Ball - Charlotte

What an intriguing title for an article.
I don't really understand why they are hyping LaMelo Ball.
Did Dad pay up a lot of money for it?  Grin
2888  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People support what Good for them but btc?? on: November 04, 2020, 06:37:47 AM
This is like a statement telling "It's an unfair world."
Do you really think early adopters didn't risk anything?
Before, there is no future for bitcoin. You buy it like wasting money for nothing.

They are not fat cats now because they are lucky or however, you call it.
Just imagine how much trouble they went through from all the ups and downs of Bitcoin.
There's still time. It might be expensive now but it will just be the same experience as early adopters did. Risk. High risk.
2889  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: November 04, 2020, 04:29:00 AM
Any suggestion for poll of the thread?

Since I had read this question I had been thinking all night what could be the poll for the thread.  Cheesy
It starts with the season and teams are getting stronger. i.e. Miami, Nets, Nuggets, and Clippers might go back strong this year trying to correct what had gone wrong.
So the poll could start with which team will take the top rank for East and West.

East especially will be less predictable this year.
2890  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: November 03, 2020, 07:14:44 PM

Lebron will get a teammates that he like, he even help JR Smith to get signed with the Lakers, so there's no doubt about Thompson, if he likes to play with him. Actually, Lakers already has a lot of big guys who can step up, I think Davis and JaVale McGee are good enough for this team, and if in case they'll add, just add a young players that are willing to play all out to save from big salary expense.
JaVale McGee have 1 more year to play for the Lakers.
Dwight is UFA.
So they have some free space but that aint enough.
They will need to let go some of the players to put a fair salary for Thompson.
Whoever it is, we dont know yet.
I just know Lebron James demands will be granted.
The perks of being a star in Lakers just like Kobe.
2891  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will happens to those DeFi project now? on: November 03, 2020, 03:16:33 PM
That fast?
Well then, ICO made a better hype in 2 years.  Grin

What will happen next? Same with ICO. Scam projects, dust and just repeating everything to gain some money but without a real goal. Until it is forgotten.
Then something new will pop out again.
This is a good lesson. Stay with old school. Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other good projects out there that still need support.
2892  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: November 03, 2020, 09:30:20 AM
But surely, that's around a minimum deal (at least) and not the usual deal he is used to back in Cavaliers.
Oh yeah, I forgot about the details of his contract.
Thankfully we have good members here.  Grin
Thanks, man.
Please correct me if I'm wrong or there is a new update.
He is UFA (unrestricted free agent) for 2020-2021.
https://www.rotoworld.com/basketball/nba/player/29684/tristan-thompson/contract

He's young, athletic, and aggressive below the rim. I guess he could be a target for the next season of the Lakers.
Just not that much salary as he receives in Cavs but a chance for a championship. Then, his "Big Brother" will be there.  Grin

2893  Economy / Economics / Re: Why the duck is btc at 13.526,98 USD ? on: November 02, 2020, 05:53:51 PM
Why the duck is a yellow stone called gold also valuable?  Grin
Traditional? History? Bible? Symbol of purity?
It's just a ducking stone.

We are in a different era now and as for my experience, I pay more using a plastic card at physical stores or a QR code.
Then, deliveries being paid digitally to avoid contact.
I think that explains a lot. Somewhere in the future bitcoin will not just be bought as an asset anymore.
2894  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: November 02, 2020, 03:01:11 PM
Is there any fan of Beasley in here? I've read a bad news how he acted against a family. This is hot news for him and his wife.

https://www.nba.com/news/minnesota-timberwolves-guard-malik-beasley-charged-with-threatening-strangers-with-gun

Not a fan of this guy, in the news it's "Malik Beasley ", I thought it was Michael Beasley because this guy looks like into drugs.

I've been laughing at his interview in this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jkRtHNhK2OA) as he looks high, so he was the first one that came into my mind.
Same. I thought at first it was Michael.
CBS made an article about this 4 days ago. I guess the NBA website is kinda late posting it.
I haven't followed the news and there is really no update up until now.
Marijuana and drugs. This is a big one if proven, he will lose his job for being foolish.

Lots of rumors getting out.
Lebron James might recruit Tristian Thompson.

2895  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Legit Airdrops, don't waste time with others on: November 02, 2020, 11:59:43 AM
I already stopped wasting time looking for airdrops 2 years ago.
AFAIK, most of it will just be dust afterward.
Just giving away coins/tokens is not that amusing anymore and then investors questioning why they are giving it away for free which scares them and withdraws everything they have.

Thank you for sharing but I think I am done with this.
I'd rather buy and let my wallet be clean with good tokens.
2896  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: November 02, 2020, 08:44:46 AM

Everyone is incredibly hyped about all this Nets staff things but we are talking about staff here and not the players themselves. Of course staff is a big deal, of course when you have great coaches and great assistant coaches you do get better results but lets be honest players are the ones that make a team a good team. Look at Lakers for example they had Frank Vogel and he is not a great coach at all, he is not a horrible one neither and I find him decent but he is not a master class coach at all, yet they won a championship. Look at Pop on the other hand, dude has been awesome for 20+ years and finally couldn't make the playoffs. So at the end of the day staff of Nets could be as great as it gets but the players will be the ones that will make the difference. I think KD and Irving would be a good pairing but thats about it, they are not going to make it to anywhere further with just those two, they need one more star to get the load off.

Do you think the Nets are weak on the player's side?
I want to quote myself but I freaking pressed the "delete" button instead of "quote". My bad.  Grin

I am just going to repeat it.
Dinwiddie, Allen, LeVert and Joe Harris.
These guys made a name for themselves and not because they have a star on their side.
They also made the playoffs because of their skills and hard work.
Nets might be the complete roster by now adding 2 all-around players like KD and Kyrie.
2897  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Know what bankroll management is in sports betting? on: November 01, 2020, 09:53:10 PM
Well, I think when you are just having fun gambling, you are smarter than the greedy types.
Most greedy type lose their composure and just put bets on anything they find as long as they think it will win.
Fun means you are calm also.
But there will always be a bad side of it, like you have too much fun and just giving away the money.

So to conclude. Too much is always not right. Always take a rest to think it over. Win or lose.
2898  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 3 myths about crypto trading tools on: November 01, 2020, 07:56:40 PM
Whoever says that stop-loss isn't needed must be an active trader and can quickly stop his losses whenever he has pending trades that are about to go in a loss.

Stop-loss has been helpful to me and just wait for some people to come and they'll say the same.

Yeah, I agree with that.
I am an active trader and I stop everything manually if I feel like it.
But, it doesn't mean a tool won't help. It helps to avoid a larger loss and it's an essential factor if you could save some.
Then, not all manual traders will be there. Sometimes, they will be out and a safety pin is needed just in case the price goes south. Hard south.
2899  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin breached $14k today on: November 01, 2020, 05:42:55 PM
$14k happened so quick I missed it.  Grin
$15k is just so damn hard to reach right now.

I am expecting a $13k to be the bottom when people can now use Paypal as a means of buying Bitcoin.
We all know in this forum most members would not transact by that means but now it is accessible to the real buyers without the middleman or Paypal as the middleman.
$1k up is not that bad. I won't be expecting more to avoid hurting my feelings.  Cheesy
2900  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fast food restaurants accepting crypto as payment method? on: November 01, 2020, 03:02:23 PM
As of now, I know some fast foods like Burger King are already accepting Bitcoin as payment but only in some countries.
Burger King Germany accepts it with their deliveries.

Photo cropped from https://www.bklieferservice.de/

Starbucks also but indirectly with the use of a payment application.
But sadly, I haven't tried it yet since I am not living in these countries.
