2881  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dont be dumb gamblers on: May 20, 2019, 07:50:38 AM

...

I thought this thread explains how you don't become an addict. because many players become addicts because they are dumb.

Anyway, I agree too, that never play or use a large amount to gamble on gambling sites that you think that site are foreign to you

...

Never play a large amount on any gambling site, if you don't want to become addict ). If you win a big prize you'd likely want to repeat it. If you lose a lot, you may want to win back.

Play safe, with amount you can lose for entertainment purposes and that's will help you not addicted to gambling

Lol. That's right. It's foolish to bet on any site, new or old, with large amounts of money that you can't afford or an amount you'll probably need for more important things. Though gambling makes a fool out of many of us lol. You'll see many dumb decisions from normally logical people when they start to get themselves deep into gambling lol.

Did he/she check the site before depositing money? well, it's very stupid when not checking an online site. We should know that gambling has a great risk, the same goes with the gambling site. It's normal to be dumb sometimes but when it's a money-related situation, you should be careful at it. You should spend it on important things that might help you in the future. Lastly, deposit a small amount of money on gambling, if you deposit a huge money, you'll get addicted and might lose it.
2882  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I LOST OVER 10 BTC IN GAMBLING IN 2018 on: May 20, 2019, 07:38:21 AM
That is why it call gambling you can lose a lot of money if luck is not on your side and being too addicted to gambling and not knowing that everyday is not your lucky days. I have lost some good amount to gambling until I learn self control which have help me to only gamble with small amount at a time.

Agree, gambling has a lot of risks and you shouldn't spend your money wisely. When addiction comes to you, you can't easily remove it, you will not be responsible for spending your money. If you really want a good profit, just do investments because gambling is for entertainment only. There's a 100% chance of losing when your goal is to earn money. Even it's an algorithm, it will not turn the favor into yours, it's perfectly balanced.
2883  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has this year be favourable to you? on: May 20, 2019, 07:26:58 AM
I'm still waiting for my luck this 2019, hoping to get rich on this year. I always losing my profit and nothing really good is happening to me.

As for me, I just think gambling is no longer for me. Okay I might not have noticed that I was losing money more than I was gaining and that's probably because I have a job that pays and maybe cause I'm also taking gambling for fun. But ever since I started taking note of everything this year, the loss is more than the gain. So what's the need for it?? I can't be involving myself in something that gives new more loses than gain. That's why I am starting to drop it this time around.

Then take gambling as entertainment only. When you're losing a lot then it's a sign that gambling is not for you. Don't let the breakdown happen to you, do gambling if you have a lot of money and do it for fun. Find something that will make you happy and at the same time, you'll earn money.

2885  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any valid reason to continue gambling? on: May 19, 2019, 05:52:36 PM
There isn't anything specific, it is all about the mind. Few minutes back lost 0.01btc on dice. Initially played with 0.0001btc per roll further increased it to 0.001btc per roll. This was not a lucky day for me, from the spending I understood it is about greed that keeps us to spend big trying to recover the missed amount. Finally what I experienced is loss still my mind tends to go and recover the lost funds.
In your case, there's no reason for you to continue gamble if you lost. With others, it is opposite, there's a valid reason to continue gambling if they lose because they want to recover those losses.

Most of the mindset of gamblers, we tend to recover losses and that becomes our reason to continue gambling.

If you're losing profit and funds for you daily life then it's time for you to quit gambling but if you have a lot of money then gambling might be an entertainment for you. It depends on your situation on how will you act on it, there's a lot of factors you must consider before finalizing a decision. For me, If you have a lot of money then go and continue gambling because it's fun to satisfy yourself if you considered it as a game. Some of the gamblers consider this as a tool for earning money where it's really hard and risky because it has a low probability of getting a huge profit, sometimes you win and sometimes you lose.
2886  Local / Pilipinas / Re: [Matuto][Info] Voting System using Blockchain? on: May 19, 2019, 05:48:37 PM

Ang training at testing wala naman kasing problema dyan as long as may budget ang pilipinas.
2887  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you find Success in Gambling? on: May 19, 2019, 05:33:09 PM
Yes, in each game in our life, there's always a success but depends on the probability. Some gambling games has a lower probability of winning but some of it have a greater probability.

For me, i know that success is existing everywhere especially when you worked hard for it. But in gambling, even you worked hard, when it's not the right time to win, it will not happen.

I'm not good at gambling although I have occasional success, maybe this is a blessing in disguise, knowing you are not lucky in gambling will make you think that you should not allocate a big portion of your budget in gambling because your chances of winning are very low.

Yes, we should always think about our profit and we should balance it. It might blow your profit away when you allocate all of it in just one game. We must set in our mind that gambling has a low probability and we shouldn't wait the clover leaf to touch us.
2888  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling Versus Traditional Gambling on: May 19, 2019, 05:28:16 PM
I've never been in a Casino, but I think I prefer online sites
I can think better, make my decisions in my time, at my pace
In casino I think we have more distractions, and it's easy to lost money, more than you can afford

I've never been in a casino either but according to some information that online gambling is way better than traditional gambling. There's a big chance of winning in a Online gambling than traditional like casino house. Algorithm is your number one enemy when having an online gambling though risk is still there. In casino, it's always in favor on the house, they will be the one to decide the rules and mafia is there. Therefore, I really prefer online gambling than traditional one because it's more cheaper, safer and reliable.  Cheesy
2889  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Happy accidents on: May 19, 2019, 05:23:38 PM
There are no ACCIDENTS I repeat there are no accidents . There are just mistakes or bad decisions which will eventually end up in some good or bad co incidence which we term as accidents that's it. Everything is meant to happen.
There’s actually a huge difference between accident and mistake. Accident is when I didn’t plan to gamble a certain amount and discovered that I have unconsciously typed it and it can no longer be reversed, I just have to wait till the game ends. Mistake on the other hand is when I planned to pick a card but because I wasn’t careful enough, I discovered that I picked a wrong one and I can change it back to the right card.

Most times that we make mistakes, we always realize that it could have been avoided but Accident its always clear that we wouldn’t have been careful enough. It would happen regardless.
That was a comprehensive breakdown, thank you for taking out time to pen this, I learnt something new, I can now share my gambling happy accidents.

I didn’t like gambling many years ago, but my friends kept on convincing me that it’s a nice game and as a game of luck I could be favored so one of the days, I just mistakenly clicked on a slot casino game, I discovered that I touched the max spin button  at the beginning of my betting , I was really worried  and scared, I had about $100 at stake but I was favored to hit free spins feature and I was so lucky  on how I won, I think I got like 40dollard that day.
It is mean that you are lucky  Grin, actually something like this always fun to share. Because in gambling, something that we're not expected can happen. That is what called luck, but it is wouldn't come twice and you must be happy with that.

Sometimes having a mistake will make you more lucky, that's why people not getting worried when having a mistake because it might be a beautiful mistake. That's the best feeling ever when you're risking something valuable. Accident is very different from mistake, mistakes can be changed while the accidents are truly can't be changed when happened.
2890  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The key reason for gambling on: May 19, 2019, 05:04:48 PM

Maybe as long we can control for what amount that we want to gamble i think it is not bad to do gambling when we are sad or happy. I mean people is different, maybe when they sad or maybe happy, as long it not make that people suffer, it is still safe to do.
Well, you have the point, as long as they will not suffer on the consequences, they can gamble anytime they want.
Gambling in crypto is 24/7, that gives us a chance to play anytime we like to, but with disciplines as that would make us safe in gambling.

This kind of entertainment should not be for people with lack of discipline as it's very risky to them, they might loss big when they loss control.

Agree to your statement, we should have discipline on this action because it's very risky when you push it through, it might have a breakdown on your income when you lose. The most important thing is, gambling is one of the reason why people still buying btc except for trading. Gambling in here was very transparent and was controlled by the algorithm and probabilities unlike in the house, they have the control in money and the win rate is very low.
2891  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is an entertainment? on: May 19, 2019, 05:00:13 PM
I consider gambling as an entertainment because there are some point that we feel happy when playing. The excitement when you are aiming for the victory even there's a risk. That excitement entertains you to avoid seriousness in life for a little time. Therefore, gambling is part of the entertainment even though a risk is always ahead on us. When people are getting used into a game and being addicted to it, the purpose of gambling to entertain those people was done.
2892  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Topics you didn't know that exist in 2018 [PH Local Board] on: May 19, 2019, 03:08:13 AM

That time was very hard, kasi kapag nakakagawa kami ng magagandang threads ay bigla bigla nalang nalo-locked without any good reason. Most of that threads, madami pang merits kaya nakakapagtaka lang kasi ngayon, wild and free ang mga kabayan natin to post anything pero still ganon pa rin. That's why I created this thread to revive the hype last 2018 again kasi nagbabalik na ulit ako.
2893  Local / Pilipinas / Re: [Matuto][Info] Voting System using Blockchain? on: May 19, 2019, 03:00:31 AM
How to actually do it? This may really sound promising ang problem is the implementation.

If you want change then you will act right?
Implementation is easy lalo na kung pinaghahandaan. It's like a basic reporting in school then you're very confident with your topic kasi handa ka.

As we all know blockchain tech is not for all dahil nga ib reality hindi ito basic system lng.

If ever nga na i assume natin na gagamit tau blockchain. Iilang tao lng kaya ang makaka vote.

Yes, blockchain is not for all kasi hindi naman lahat techy. Parang ikaw na gumagamit ng blockchain with the basic knowledge of transaction. Ayon yun.

At posible din ang blockchain ngayon, I'm currently studying this blockchain pero data base siya for information sa university, imagine student palang ako pero I know about it and kaya kong I-implement if may malaking budget lang. What more sa mga tech graduate at mga bihasa pagdating sa mga ganitong bagay. Ang blockchain ay matagal na pong nag-eexist at napag-aralan na ng ilang taon kaya imposibleng wala tayong alam sa ganitong bagay, even us Filipinos know that thing, huwag nating maliitin.

One of the reason kaya napaka simply ng ating voting system is that marami tayung mang2 na kababayan practicing their rights to vote. Therefore masasabi ko na blockchain for voting system does not fit the Philippines

2895  Economy / Economics / Re: Mining in the cloud vs simply buying bitcoin on: May 18, 2019, 11:59:06 PM
Actually, cloud mining will cost you a lot of power consumption so I can't consider it as a profitable one unless you have a lot of mining rigs. It will make you more profit if you have perfectly balanced all of your devices considering the power. Buying bitcoin and trying it in investment will give you a lot of profit. Bitcoin was growing up now and it's the right time for you to invest more because it might get you richer than mining.

mining is indeed more profitable but not for cloud mining, because what you invest in cloud mining is never good for you and will only continue to wait longer without any good results you can get, don't be tempted by anything about their promotion because it's just a ways to get more consumers. so it's better to buy bitcoin and hold it because with you holding it or trading it, it will be far more profitable

I don't think so? There's a lot of factors you must consider before having a mining rig that can be profitable.
2896  Local / Pilipinas / Re: How much is the bitcoin's price when you first learn of its existence? on: May 18, 2019, 10:20:40 PM
That time na pumasok ako sa pagbibitcoin, the price value of it was 40k pesos lang at yung taon na yun ay umabot sa 100k+.

Laking hinayang talga.  Pero at least ngayon nalaman mo na.  Though wala akong hawak na btc as of the moment kasi ibang token ang hawak ko.

2897  Local / Pilipinas / Re: [Matuto][Info] Voting System using Blockchain? on: May 18, 2019, 10:15:00 PM

The Power of Blockchain!

UPDATED: NOVEMBER 24, 2021

As a tech-related course student, I want to share my knowledge about it because I'm currently making a research study about it.

OLD THREAD

Objectives

- Matuto about sa iba pang kakayahan ng blockchain.
- Matuto about sa blockchain.

Blockchain

With the use of blockchain, all of the stored personal information ay secured. Since uso na rin ang scammers, Identification Card is the most valuable thing na pwede mong pakita for the assurance of the business so implementing blockhain in identification will be a good advantage.

Election Voting System with Blockchain

Ayon sa aking kaalaman, the election system is like a sms text message na dumadaan din sa server at narerecord.

Election Failure

Ang ating election system ay sobrang hindi secured, it means pwede itong ma-trace at ma-bypass ng kahit sino mang tao with the basic/advanced knowledge of IT. Since ang algorithm ng ating election system ay basic operations lang, +1 method sa kada tuwing nakakareceive ng data for that specific information na naglalaman ng mga pinili ng ating kandidato. Ang mga data na natatanggap sa server ng COMELEC at hindi concrete, pwedeng mapalitan at mabago ng kung sino man ang may access sa server ng COMELEC which is a big disadvantage.

Voting System using Blockchain

Imagine if our voting system ay na-implement with blockchain, is it possible?

Transparent

No PCOS Machine

I hope this information might help and inspire you to build another application using blockchain kasi sobrang lawak talaga ng blockchain. Calling out all of the innovative researchers there na mag-implement ng ganitong project study at sana mapansin ng COMELEC.

Thanks for reading!
Have a good day!

This is already a topic long ago
I don't even think it was all that long ago, but I do remember that the discussion went on with no input from Theymos and ultimately no resolution.  I'm really happy about all these bans that just happened, but I really don't think Theymos is going to put any restrictions on bounty managers, regardless of what the community thinks.  Believe me, I'd love to see some guidelines laid down for bounty managers and how they should have to conduct the application process and post monitoring and everything else, but I'm not going to bet that's going to happen.

Agree, I'm just referring that it was discussed long ago but don't have any output that has been done by our admins. I also liked to see how will admins set regulations to bounty managers because some of them are receiving huge payments just to fool the participants. I've been scammed a lot of times in a project and BMs are included in that action. Undecided

admin's actions towards the forum will benefit the whole community, not just on a specific section.

Systems that have been created for the forum are trust and merit system. As we can see, it's a general solution that is applied to all of the members of this community but if we think deeper, those systems cover up all of the problems in this forum, there's a lot of factors they consider before implementing the system. So basically, the issue in bounty managers will not be given any attention, even we create a lot of solutions there will be always a problem. Members are the one should change and be responsible for their actions here. The trust and merit system is enough and I think it's the best solution as of now to avoid things that hinder the betterment of the forum.

This is already a topic long ago, we all know that shitposting was commonly done by the participants of campaigns. The issue in bounty campaigns wasn't prioritized, it's just a part of the marketplace where we can earn income by posting. Staffs and admins are focusing on how we can develop our community into a good one. I know that diminishing those irresponsible bounty managers might decrease the shitposters but admin's actions towards the forum will benefit the whole community, not just on a specific section. Also, we can't control the rules of the bounty since they own the project, they will decide what should be done, and that's the risk part of joining a campaign.

Most of the bounty managers in the altcoin section were not that good at checking post history of their participants because they're too many of them. This is the reason why shitposting, plagiarism and spamming was very common in those kinds of participants. Some of the bounty managers are holding a lot of campaigns with a lot of participants, do you think they will manage it? I think not. Bounty managers are also a victim, but that's not an excuse to be used here because it's their responsibility to manage the bounty, they're the one who will control and distribute the income of each participant, no matter what happens, the bounty manager is the point person of a specific project. But no worries, some good bounty managers had already received negative trust.

Why there still a shitposter in this forum despite having a lot of additional systems to control this problem. They should have known that at the beginning, they already know how to speak and read, I think they should also understand the rules.
