I want to participate in doing some marketing of Qora proactively, so I would appreciate a short summary of what Qora is all about, and perhaps as well what it is not, if you get my point here. I ask here, as i feel the answer placed here could benefit all the newcomers soon to check in for them to decide on their own wether this is something for them! The better they understand the easier it is to find some btc or cash like USD, EUR or chinese renminbi CNY and then go spend it buying some Qora on CCEDK.com exchange.
Then a list of features unique and available only on Qora
If completely different from any other crypto, of course it is a must to mention this, and in which way it differs and what makes it better when being different!
First of all I would like to thank you for your interest and for all the activities you are making for Qora. It's highly appreciated! I have written below some facts about Qora, hope it will be helpful for you. - Qora is a proof of stake coin that uses a new algorithm making it future-proof.It is a second generation cryptocurrency written from scratch in Java, not a clone from something else out there, it's unique!The total amount of Qora in existence is 10 Billion.
- Qora has deterministic and password protected wallets that can be recovered/generated from seed.
- Qora has an asset exchange were you can trade assets for Qora but also assets for assets directly.
- Qora has polls, a Voting feature were a user can set up a poll with several options.This feature is also used by the community to drive the project and the development.
- Qora has a messaging service, encrypted or not, depends on how the user want's to send the message.
- Qora has Automated Transactions, a smart contracts mechanism, a Turing Complete virtual machine, which gives the ability to the users to deploy their own applications that will run on Qora's blockchain.Automated transactions provides several tools for the network of Qora, like Atomic Cross-chain transfers were users can trade coins in a decentralized way between two blockchains that both have Automated Transactions integrated.Also, lotteries can be created, crowd funding projects, dormant funds transfers, coin mixer and so on.Lot of uses can be achieved with Automated transactions.
- Qora has a naming service.
- Qora has arbitrary transactions, a way to store data on the blockchain of Qora.This is how we created the decentralized web, the social network and the blogging service and we will make more web applications based on this feature soon.We also mapped the naming service to be tied to arbitrary transactions for specific use cases, creating a data management system.
- Qora has a built-in Block Explorer.

I had 150 Ghs in their site . All online cloud minings are ponzi scheme .... some like cex.io and maybe CloudMining.website are really companies that mining for bitcoin ...... others will become scam .. .soon or late
cex.io is long gone and I wouldn't call cloudmining.website legit either. Genesis-mining is as legit as it gets for example. but you're right, most are ponzis |

No update, just their usual email "We are still working on it". I doubt they'll even update to the newest version of Qora. 6 weeks and still no funds. Absolute scam. If I were to possibly take a guess at what has happened, they probably have a script automatically generating the Qora wallets, however probably forgot where they are storing the seeds and passwords, otherwise, what other issue could there be? lol, bter? more like burner then, they act as a burning address. would explain why they're silent. BTW Poloniex withdrawals are working, could you delete them from your op? |

Most things working ok but withdraws need some work from admin but he is not doing any thing for long time which is suspicious
the admin abandoned this project, no idea why he did not shut down the site by now. however, I think stuffpoint.com is related... |

I would like to about Qora universal wallet.
Can I ask how it use? maybe need keep it open?
I made request on faucet and get 10 free Qore in my wallet. But its not get confirmations. Now I open wallet again, and dont see that 10 coins on none balances.
Even my transactions column is empty.

It says that "This profile is currently disabled.". Thus, I can not follow you I have just followed favdesu successfully.You can understand it as because the follow button changed to Unfollow.  You might not be fully synced, in order to retrieve the latest activities of the social network (posts, shares, likes, profiles etc) you need to be fully synced, the wallet will say Oke and then unlocked it and confirm the API call (pop up window) to follow. or you don't have an active profile. in order to follow you have to setup a profile too |

Happy to see people vote on this! Is there a specific deadline? Social Network started to evolve! I already see some interesting profiles no deadline. if the Qora crowd want to collaborate, we will make it happen. BitShares 2.0 is going to have worker positions, where stakeholders pay developers to add value to the system. one could be to add qora to some degree or join chains. |

I keep seeing questions and statements saying XPY is going to die or will be dead soon. In regards to this i have a few questions.... What do you think makes a coin be officially dead? Price? Github Activity? Forum Activity? If you are reading this... why are you still around? Hoping for a price increase? Just like drama? My take... Like it or not, this coin is not going to "die" the blockchain keeps churning and lives go on. Some say the coin has been dead for months... and given what everyone thought they where getting when they bought into XPY i don't blame them one bit. The coin was sold to us as a 20 dollar Fiat backed coin. If you don't already know sorry to be the one to break it to ya, that was completely false. So now the price is in the pennies.... and depending on who you ask, it's dead. Just one last question... if litecoin falls in value to become worth only 5 cents per coin tomorrow... I can't log in to PaycoinTalk.org to tell them this URGENT message! I guess they are worried I am a troll, but from where I sit, THEY are the trolls! With a $20 floor and the upcoming Honors Program, Paycoin will be the envy of all Crypto. Not to mention the upcoming Paycoin Drone TO THE MOON!!!!!!! But this can only happen IF JOSH IS BACK IN THE FOLD.
Paycoin is only at .04 cents: the people that STOLE Josh's intellectual property have DRIVEN PAYCOIN TO THE BRINK OF DEATH! How can anyone here say we are better off without Josh? When Josh was here Paycoin was worth over $20 at one point. Since it was illegally taken from him it hasn't risen to even above a dollar! Now it's at .04 cents! This is unacceptable and everyone who says it is acceptable needs to be held accountable!
The only way to save Paycoin is: BRING BACK JOSH! This will help recruit more people and make Paycoin go up! Josh's promises are the ONLY thing that has moved Paycoin up. Therefore WE NEED MORE JOSH AND MORE PROMISES! Without him the price will continue it's drop to zero. With Josh, we can make A LOT OF MONEY LIKE WE WERE PROMISED, but the FUDDERS and TROLLS who say nasty things about Josh will miss out and I agree! And those who STOLE Josh't intellectual property CAUSED this crisis! GIVE JOSH BACK HIS INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY NOW!!! or we will all go broke!

Got a problem with Arbitrary Transactions though. I can perfom every other action except blog posts, it just won't get in the block  You will see your unconfirmed transaction in there, it seems like a fee issue but from the URL I written you will review the entire "data", in case is big enough and the fee is 1 then this is the problem. In the new version there will be an auto fee calculator that will definitely help to avoid this situation. ah thanks, it's in there. never had an issue before with 1 Qora TX... quite strange |
