2901  Economy / Reputation / Re: Known Alts of any-one - A User Generated List Mk III (2021 Q1) on: January 25, 2021, 01:07:46 AM
Just a reminder to everyone that it's important that you check each and every user's trust feedback, both trusted (by you) and untrusted. You may find another user has already uncovered the exact same information previously which will save you time and trouble when looking to make connections.
2902  Economy / Reputation / Re: [list] Add those Loan Defauted accounts to your ~ distrust list (20.01.21) on: January 25, 2021, 12:46:16 AM
I'm not sure what kind of rationale occurred overnight, but all six DT 1 who as of this week distrusted ~TradeFortress 🥳 Happy 2021 were seen by BPIP's Trust Log
There's a bug (in BPIP's DefaultTrust Change Log) when someone on DT1 empties his Trust list. TradeFortress 🥳 Happy 2021 changed his name to TradeFortress 🌝 BTC to $117k, which looks like it triggered the same bug.

Thanks for the information, I thought it odd that all six had changed their minds at the same time (that or TF had some sort of forgotten admin privilege apart from being able to change their profile name).

On my action=trust page I can see their profile name has been updated automatically.
2903  Economy / Reputation / Re: [list] Add those Loan Defauted accounts to your ~ distrust list (20.01.21) on: January 24, 2021, 03:57:28 AM
Easy copy-paste list with most of those who defaulted on a loan and have no place any near DT.
The list was inspired by this post

Code:
~elmanchez
~goose20
~TradeFortress 🥳 Happy 2021

If you know any other loan defaulted accounts that are not on that list please post a link to the profile and I'll check the feedback.

Thanks for adding these three to your list, I'm not sure what kind of rationale occurred overnight, but all six DT 1 who as of this week distrusted ~TradeFortress 🥳 Happy 2021 were seen by BPIP's Trust Log to have removed their DT distrust at the same time, (or near enough to the same time at any rate) which is odd given their support of the flag and their negative trust feedback remains unchanged.

You haven't heard anything?
2904  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to create paper wallet generator for alt coin? on: January 23, 2021, 05:22:07 PM
Using VanityGen you can create vanity wallets...

What's not quite so widely known is that by using the

Code:
-X

modifyer (and the appropriate number for your altcoin), you can create vanity wallet addresses for any altcoin.

The key point here is you have the privkey, so you can write it down on paper and it's a paper wallet.  With a QR code generator, you can also make your paper wallets look like "professional" paper wallets in no time at all.
2905  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin betting on the 2024 US Presidential Election | Biden+Harris Vs ?? ?? on: January 23, 2021, 04:58:04 PM
We won't have to wait long to find out if the 45th President will be impeached - just seventeen days away on the 8th of February 2021 is the date when the single charge of "Inciting Riots" will be heard. No betting sites should be accepting wagers for that potential candidate until mid Feb.

Did anyone catch "Junior's" much ridiculed "First President in our lifetime not to start a war" tweet that has seen (Former US President) Jimmy Carter trending on twitter over the last few hours¿
2906  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin betting on the 2024 US Presidential Election | Biden+Harris Vs ?? ?? on: January 23, 2021, 02:07:49 PM
That's fine if you hate him for personal reasons. Don't worry though the same TPTB that did this to Trump can do the same thing to anybody.

No hate, just humour. Trump set himself up for a fall the moment he started lying to everyone including himself. As an outsider I have the luxury of not having to endure American Politics on a daily basis.

I doubt Trump will run again and that's what this thread is all about: speculation of who will be elected in 2024?

Think Trump's got what it takes? Tell us what you're going to wager.
2907  Other / Meta / Re: Theymos condones and supports suchmoon demanding legitmate debate is stopped? on: January 23, 2021, 04:34:24 AM
Having been on the receiving end of year's worth of Trolling by suchmoon, all I can suggest you do is place suchmoon on ignore and block them from sending you PM's.

The forum is a calmer, more respectful place once you are no longer pummelled by suchmoon's Trolling. (And don't forget to support others who've been stalked/Trolled by suchmoon)
2908  Other / Meta / Re: How about locking some ANN threads that are from proven scammers? on: January 23, 2021, 03:31:56 AM
Interesting to hear the censorship drum being banged when discussing cleaning up the forum.

The pro to that argument is that scammers have a chance to redeem themselves while the con is the scammer will continue scamming and will become emboldened into more and more elaborate scams as time goes by hurting more people in the process.

I'd like to propose if a user has actually been banned, then ALL of their threads are automatically locked regardless of the topic or contents.

Can we start with that - please?
2909  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin betting on the 2024 US Presidential Election | Biden+Harris Vs ?? ?? on: January 23, 2021, 03:20:34 AM
The Republican Party is pretty much done.

That much is probably true. Going back 20 years to the skism of the so-called tea party, a party within the GOP now we have witnessed over the last five years the rise of another faction eager to break away.

Media Companies pulled the plug on the 45th President's rambling rhetoric on AFTER he'd been resoundly beaten in the only poll that mattered when his statements became increasingly detached from reality.  He has the funds to have started his own social media platform by now (and could have done so at any time before he nominated himself onwards).

Beaten and broken.  Trump, the chump.
2910  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Australian Open 2021 Discussion thread on: January 22, 2021, 04:47:16 PM
I'll have to check later in the day what that player's condition is. IIRC the players have the mandatory fourteen days in quarentine then there another week prior to game play in an "over abundance of caution". One of the Canadian players said the quarentine is "no big deal" while the higher ranked players are throwing all kinds of social media tantrums ...
2911  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptopia exchange refunds on: January 22, 2021, 04:34:00 PM
Have you been receiving any of the email updates from the Cryptopia Liquidators Grant Thornton¿

There's been a few people who've missed out on receiving any emails at all. Basically GT were told by a New Zealand Judge they can't sell off the crypto assetts, rather, they have to be returned to their "owners" but GT are going through a grueling KYC verification which only those with serious crypto tied up in Cry-topia seem willing to sign up for.
2912  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Precious metal dealers who accept bitcoin? on: January 22, 2021, 04:12:37 PM
I haven't heard of anyone trading precious metals for crypto in recent times... "Master Metals (Aust)" had a tiny crypto for Au/Ag/Pt portal they were trying to get started, but IIRC they rely heavily on KYC and it was going to be more likly facilitating an exchange between two users who'd deposited their metal/crypto in person well before any trades occurred.

As others have suggested some rounds can be bought for near or at spot in the collectables. And if you're feeling more adventurous, there's at least one user who is Swapping gems stones for crypto
2913  Economy / Reputation / Re: [list] Add those Loan Defauted accounts to your ~ distrust list (20.01.21) on: January 22, 2021, 10:34:03 AM
I'll have to go back through my trust feedback to see who's been accused of what over time.  That list were the first group that came to mind in more recent times (and they're probably more recognisable for their failings)

I recall there was a name lookalike for theyoungmillionaire that hilarious had investigated one time too.
2914  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin betting on the 2024 US Presidential Election | Biden+Harris Vs ?? ?? on: January 22, 2021, 09:36:26 AM
Trump was never a political beast unlike President Biden who has spent his life in public service and has thrown his hat into the Presidential election ring a few times in the past over the last 40 years, so he (Biden) knows who to turn to, lean on and even rely on.

Trump wanted "yes men" and just kept firing anyone who didn't toe his line hence President Biden is in a strong position to win a second term (with near even money I would imagine)
2915  Economy / Speculation / Re: I doubt Bitcoin will dip below 20k again on: January 22, 2021, 09:31:31 AM
Well .. it did drop to $29,500 a few hours ago so sub $30,000 is definitely possible and people shouldn't discount drops even further such as sub $20,000 that this threads title suggests.

People will see an opportunity elsewhere and bail out. It happens, just be prepared for the drop.
2916  Economy / Reputation / Re: [list] Add those Loan Defauted accounts to your ~ distrust list (20.01.21) on: January 20, 2021, 11:24:32 PM
If I can make a suggestion...add users who have lost control of their accounts (and seminly don't want them back) such as kenzawak
 etc.

Code:

~Blazr
~elmanchez

~kenzawak
~TradeFortress 🥳 Happy 2021

to name but a few...

I've just had a look and I'm up to 15 referrals of my own in however many months since I first realised there was a ref code in the signature. I'd probably have twice that number by now if I were paying attention when I joined this SigCamp.
2918  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Australian Open 2021 Discussion thread on: January 20, 2021, 11:04:16 PM
Tennis Australia got caught out trying to say the Aust Federal Government would be covering the cost of putting the players into mandatory hotel quarantine (remembering some of the players/support start were infected with Covid on arrival into Australia) however TA had to backtrack when a govt minister stated that TA had agreed to pay the cost in full.

I've heard separately that all of the players are being paid $100,000 AUD appearance fee which is not bad jam for sitting in a hotel with free food etc and slagging off at your hosts and host country.
2919  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptopia Cryptocurrency Platform Services and Development on: January 20, 2021, 11:49:13 AM
What is the news on the refunds?
Updates going to take some long time because its not easy job for them checking all data and giving updates.

I've never received any emails from GT and I'd be surprised if I were to actually receive an email from them. Given GT is going to have to hand over all of the funds to users, (and be paid for services rendered, some other method) it's probably going to ask the courts for permission to cashout the crypto in a few years time owing to a perceived inability to make contact with various users of the Cryptopia website.
