2901  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive ASICMiner Tube Setup [HD] on: December 17, 2014, 10:15:47 AM
This is my first one...just picked it up.  So far I'm not really impressed.  The PSU-Miner ratio makes it even more messy than usual.  No *good* stats page.  I'm connecting to guild w/out any issues but it would still be nice to have other options.
Have to say for me this one is not a winner.

I haven't been up long enough to collect any usable stats but so far the hash rate is about the only positive.  It's clocked @ 270 and hashing over 800 with (almost) no h/w errors.

I agree they are messy requiring 4 pci-e cables and the software is very, very basic. It would be nice to have access to some more detailed stats... Not working on most pools is my main issue. Only being able to enter a single pools details is another thing I have issue with, not being able to enter any backup pools is annoying if your first goes down...

As mentioned I've got 2, I'm running them @290 and averaging about 850GH/s. I did try running @300 for 900+GH/s but it tripped out my psu a couple of times (Corsair RM1000) because it was pulling too much power. 300 would probably be ok with a more powerful psu.

If it wasn't for the half decent mining speed for the money and relative quietness I would considered getting rid of these. However, they have been mining 24/7 for several weeks now pretty much faultlessly and are generating just enough btc to cover their electricity cost and enough heat to warm my office at home now its winter here in the UK so its not all bad Smiley.
2902  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive ASICMiner Tube Setup [HD] on: December 17, 2014, 12:13:08 AM
Is there any way of telling operating temperature of these do you know? I can't see it in software stats anywhere.

No that's why you have to be careful, BE200s don't have onboard thermal sensors.

Wow that's pretty awful IMO.

Yeah that is pretty bad I agree. Luckily enough these seem to run ok with either 1 x standard fan (noisy) or 2 x Corsair high performance fans (quiet). I've been running both mine on twin Corsairs for a few weeks now without any problems. Upside is massively reduced noise, probably 80% quieter than the stock fan, I can hardly hear mine running.

Main problems with these is the pools you can use. Most pools don't like asicminer tubes, some do though. I've been running mine on www.bitcoinaffiliatenetwork.com and www.bitcoin.cz and been ok solo mining on www.solomining.com.

No photo = no phone.
2904  Economy / Goods / Re: Wholesale Gold Nuggets on: December 16, 2014, 06:45:08 AM
So I'm assuming this was a scam then as no evidence has been provided but OP has been online Angry.

Excellent news well done Smiley.
2906  Other / Off-topic / Re: What watch do you wear? on: December 14, 2014, 10:28:31 AM
I don't wear one, my phone that's always in my pocket has the time on.
2907  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Over 1.1 TH/s of Mining Hardware - has to go on: December 14, 2014, 09:40:15 AM
You will need to provide pictures of your actual equipment with username and date on a piece of paper, generic photo's don't mean you actually have anything listed.

Also you forgot to mention if you will use an escrow service. Sorry if I sound harsh but you're a low activity 'newbie' and if I don't ask you to provide this others will Wink. Far too many attempted scams on here lately.
2908  Economy / Goods / Re: Wholesale Gold Nuggets on: December 14, 2014, 09:26:50 AM
Perhaps for starting new threads in this section users should be required to post an image.

Yes I agree 100%. Picture(s) with username and date should be compulsory. Also escrow must be used unless its a very high standing / respected member, but that can be agreed between buyer and seller.

Biggest warning signs for me lately are no pictures, pictures without name and date ( that could have been taken from somewhere else ) or stock pictures and reluctance or refusal to use escrow.

Perfect Smiley.

This is a joke right.... what will be next.. bread, bacon, milk...

i'm selling milk :p

Ha ha really? Good luck to you Wink. I don't understand why anyone would sell or buy cheap perishable items that can be bought from a nearby shop with the loose change in their pocket.

Don't get me wrong I love milk and eggs but I wouldn't even consider paying for them in bitcoin because I just don't consume enough of either to justify it.
2911  Economy / Goods / Re: Wholesale Gold Nuggets on: December 13, 2014, 08:19:46 PM
You will have to provide some serious proof that this is true and accept escrow before anyone will consider doing business with you.

2913  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: CoinTerra Miners For Sale on: December 13, 2014, 08:01:40 PM
The new account, pictures without username and unwilling to escrow are all ringing alarm bells for me, same as everyone else. There are so many different scam attempts every single day on here and its up to you to prove this is not another.

I'm sure once you prove you have these items you're trying to sell and accept escrow will be used the negative trust will be removed.
2914  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [POOL] SoloMining.com - 0.5% fee, Anon, NoReg, NOMP, DRK PPC LTC on: December 13, 2014, 07:38:46 PM
Ok after 20 minutes or so my results show Antminer S4 recommended diff. 2048 was running on new vardiff at -50% speed so have changed back to recommended 2048.

2 x slower litecoin miners working fine on vardiff and at full speed, 2 knc titans with recommended diff. 8192 barely working so have switched back to 8192.

They were all showing 100% accepted shares using vardiff.

I've just switched my 4 litecoin miners and 1 bitcoin miner over to the new varDiff lets see if it works.

Thank you. Updated the OP to reflect this.

Ha ha yeah I think paid order gets number order after your good self of course Smiley. Can you please post your btc address for donations or provide a link if its posted already. I'd like to send you a little something to thank you for organising this Wink.

EDIT: Sorry just seen it in your profile Wink
I will think about the order once I get the shipment. Donation address has been added to the OP and can indeed be found on my profile. Wink

Sent you some btc for a beer buddy Wink
2918  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [FULL][GROUP BUY][EU] Kialara Physical Bitcoin [ESCROWED] on: December 13, 2014, 12:08:36 AM
Does the person that pays first get the lowest number Wink, after you of course for arranging the deal Smiley.
Haven't thought of that to be honest. Might be more fair if the one who ordered first gets the lowest one. Or I just do it at random, no idea, hahaha.

Perfect Grin

This guy has PM'd me asking about posting a photo and how to accept escrow so I've given him some advice and he's done what I said. I think he's genuine.

Good luck with your sale buddy Smiley.
