Yup, it's too long of a wait already and the NBA Finals is over by that time, there's a lull on the basketball bettors here lol. The commissioner have said that the opening on June 15 really depends on the players themselves, on how they follow the health protocols to avoid getting contaminated by the virus. Commissioner Willie Marcial has said in his press conference that it's up to the players on how they will handle the protocol set by the IATF. So that's level B fighter, now he is fighting a champion, at his prime, had a great chin, so I doubt that he can knock out Casimero with his "power". He is old at 40 and when fighters are ageing, the first thing that will go is your power and speed. Could be exciting in the first couple of rounds, until Casimero takes over or chin tested him and then Casimero will go back to his defensive style, which will make this fight a snoozer.
For me this will be a half boring, half-exciting fight. Rigo is no longer relevant in boxing anymore, he only fights to make some money and may not go out of his shell come fight night thus make this fight a boring one. On the other side, we all know what Casimero is capable of doing and with his offensive style of fight where he goes first and will to be hit, this will make this fight exciting. Have seen some of Casimero's vlog and he promised that he will do his to knockout Rigo and i do believe he can do it. |

Do you think that Manny Pacquiao is still fighting to boost his political career, i seriously doubt that, he is already famous and made the money but i do not think he is a billionaire as Floyd is the highest earned boxer and even he never made a billion dollars. The fact is that he is still an elite level fighter and he knows that it is a small window of opportunity where he can perform at that level and as long as he can perform let him do what he likes. Manny Pacquaio is a billionaire if we convert his earnings in Philippine peso and though Floyd Mayweather earned more than Manny but still the latter is above in terms of purchasing power as Manny spend his fortune in his home soil which is much cheaper than in the US. If Manny doesn't fight anymore, he can sustain his style of living while Floyd can't. If you gonna dig deeper on why Manny still fights, it's not the passion and the money anymore. He fights to attract attention and to be still relevant in Philippine politics as he don't need to pay TV stations to have an air time. I'm a fan of Manny the boxer but if he insist on running for the Presidency, he can't have my vote. |

Some people do not share their experience as they don't want to be judge, good thing Devance is open and just trying to help people by sharing his experience, but I guess he is okay now, so he can start training once the PBA training will start. The case of Joe Devance having been hit by COVID-19 is intriguing as i thought all this time that if you are healthy, you are safe from this virus. I mean if you can have it but your body can handle it and you will only feel the mild symptoms of this virus and not be critical. Have read about NBA players having covid but all of them have only mild or no symptoms at all. Eye opener for us and we should not let our guards down as anything can happen if we are hit by this virus. |

so it was the right decision for him to quit as he may have had suffered more if he did continue. Saunders' injury is not a small one. hope he can recover good from this surgery. now, we are looking forward who's gonna be next for Canelo. he will be a bankable boxer for a time now.
Canelo ended it with one punch in round 7 the punch that broke Saunders landed perfectly on a counter and based on his interview he knows that he hurt Saunders badly, that's all Canelo can give us he just needs one big punch and he can end everything, but Saunders put up a big resistance, but he just can't go on like this the whole fight, Canelo will soon catch him. The thing is, before the fight, he started to trash talk and attack Canelo's previous opponents and tells that they all quit, now it comes back to haunt him. Yes, that one punch really did the damage and Canelo just continue to target that causing the eye to really swell and then later we found out the extend of the damage. I lost my bet here because I put Canelo by decision, but I'm good it's part of the game. It may haunt Saunders, but his health is the priority here. Another two rounds and he will be permanently blind for the rest of his life. So the team did the right choice and may have said Saunders here. It's just trash talking, sooner or later after the fight, they will forget what Billy Joe said hyping this fight. And we will only remember how great Canelo is that night and taking Saunders WBO belt. I'm one of the many people that were disappointed of Saunder's quitting but after some time i have realized that the Team have made the right decision. Maybe tough as due to time constraint but that decision have saved the health of their fighter as that is not his last fight. That scenario was the same with the Pacquiao vs Margarito fight which was held on the same venue, Cowboy Stadium. Team Margarito and the referee which was Lawrence Cole did not stopped the fight even though Margarito's eye was badly swollen and now it had a permanent effect on his vision, could have avoided if they stop the fight early. |

That was a really disappointing ending. Billy Joe was more competitive than many expected and then he abruptly quit. Apparently he suffered an eye injury and that was the reason for the stoppage.
The next opponent for Canelo should be Caleb Plant to crown an undisputed champion. Plant doesn't have a great resume so I'm not expecting very much from him but he does move around a lot and could find a way to win some rounds.
Very disappointing indeed as i lost my bet lol, could have won if Saunders didn't quit on his stoll. With due respect to Caleb Plant, i don't think he has the tools to beat Canelo and their fight is just a formality for Canelo on taking his IBF belt. Saunders is the fighter who have the best chance to beat Canelo and it's evident on this one and i don't think there will be a rematch here. |

I haven't put any bet yet because I'm leaning that Canelo might win by KO here, just a question of which round. In any case this will be very exciting, two very high caliber boxer.
Seems i'm the only one thinking that Saunders can survive and go to the distance with Canelo lol. Boxing analyst Dan Rafael and Amir Khan both predicted Canelo to knockout Saunders. I have a gut feeling that Saunders will be in survival mode and would not engage Canelo early and save his energy running until the championship rounds hehe. Good luck to us. |

This is the main reason why they probably pick Mikey as second option if the Terrence Crawford fight didn't materialized. Mikey is not a true welterweight and they have the same size so every advantage is on Pacman in this fight.
Although Pacquiao has slowed down as evident in the Thurman fight, but he can still throw some punches that will give him enough points to the eyes of the judges if the fight goes to distance.

Just think how the world of boxing would think if Canelo would lose, all praise will be on Saunders and he will be up for big fights after.
The boxing industry has seen a lot of upsets in the past if ever Alvarez lose the boxing world will be in shock but they know that this is not unexpected and it happens, if Saunders beat Canelo it will be his biggest legacy he has stopped the train hype, Canelo knows what is at stake on this fight, and he knows the boxing world expect him to deliver, which he never fails to do. Yes, we have seen a lot of upset in the recent months but i do think that it won't happen to Canelo Alvarez as he is too good at the moment and never underestimate his opponent which is a very good trait that a boxer should have. Betting for Saunders is so tempting with the odds now at the bookies but i will stick to my instinct that this will still be a Canelo show via unanimous decision.  |
