I don't like either of them but I'd say that marketcap is pretty meaningless. I think volume is way more important but unfortunately coinmarketcap only tracks the last 24h. A long term volume graph comparison might be more interesting.

I wholeheartedly recommend the AppleByte pool. I have used it since the coin launched.
The bonus paid on CPU & GPU mining makes it work, and the low total hash rate on the coin makes ASIC mining still profitable as well.
"The pool is back up and we have removed the 25mhs limit and welcome all miners" So the limit is removed so go ASICs and maybe it's just me who didn't see any info on the bonus rewards for low hashrates but it would be nice if there would be some transparency regarding that.

As someone who dislike both Dash and XMR, I find it hilarious that most people can only promote their supported coin by attacking the other.

Yes. And it currently sits at the 23rd place on coinmarketcap based on daily volume with only 39 BTC. I don't get why so many people take a coin with so low liquidity so seriously that they practically spam BCT instead of monerotalk.

CPU and GPU mining scrypt? Are you mad?

Hello,
If you feel annoyed of all the Monero posts and think Monero should dump but you do not have any Moneros to dump, here is my advice for you: Go to Poloniex, deposit some bitcoins there, transfer those bitcoins to margin trading platform and create a short sell. The interest rates for Monero loans are as low as they can be so it is even cheap to do it. When the price starts to decline, you are making money.
The Monero haters hate Monero because they fear it, and are jealous of its present success and vast potential. But they wouldn't dare put their money where their mouths are. Even though interest rates on XMR loans are near zero, they are still too chicken to risk getting their teeth broken in the inevitable resumption of XMR's moonward trajectory. Or maybe, just maybe some people doesn't give a fuck about monero and they are just tired of all the bs advertisement this coin gets.

You can track what (file/registry) changes a wallet does with Sandboxie using SandboxDiff. To avoid a wallet link switcheroo which seems to be usual, if you send me your downloaded wallet in pm I can post a log tomorrow as I have to run now.
|
|
|
Never ever run wallets outside of a controlled sandbox or VM. Or run them on a throwaway OS, otherwise you're asking to get your coins and even browser data stolen.
Virustotal can't detect everything either.

I think all crypto staking solution is high risk low reward so none of them. A few percentages annually is pretty much nothing compared to how fast crypto is changing and how volatile everything is.

July 2014 btc price was around $500-$600.
Bulltards are celebrating today's $300 like it's 1999.
I don't like to piss on anyone's parade, but seriously look at the big picture: bitcoin crashed from the high of $1250 in Dec'2013, all the way down to $150 in January 2015.
$300 today, $200 tomorrow.
Do you really using the term big picture and $1250 like that was ever reasonable?
|
|
|
I'd be surprised if we'd see sub $250 this year but then again I know nothing.

Yeah I was thinking that. I don't know what to do with my Paycoins yet. Perhaps I should buy more and hold them until the price goes up, or maybe exchange them for BTC. Well, to be honest I lost a significant amount of BTC in the GAW scam saga and I haven't sold any of my prime stakers/XPY as they are pretty much worthless compared to how much they costed so I'm just keeping them for the astronimocal off chance of it going back to anywhere near $20 or even $10 at which point I'd cash out while still being pissed off at that miserable excuse of a human being, Josh Garza. I honestly think XPY is one of the worst coins to invest in.

Im sure by now you have all heard of or experienced the slow confirmation issues with bitcoin transactions. There is an inherent problem with btc tx fees and spamming the bitcoin network. And it's getting worse.
Is it time for a real alternative coin to takeover as the number one crypto?
It would seem that Litecoin would be the obvious choice....but is it?
What about Peercoin? And Monero? Ripple? Doge?
State your case for coin that will replace the bitcoin.
I think you're either ignorant or you're trying to pump a random alt you hold. The BTC transaction situation is not an issue at all if you think about it for more than a second. Simply pay for your transaction to go through and that's it. Every single altcoin transaction speed could be slowed down just like BTC if they were as popular as BTC, but they're not. And all altcoin blockachains would grow significantly higher than BTC it they were to be constantly tested.
