are
Shit posters cannot represent a brand.
Not sure what you mean by this.  Could you elaborate?
What I mean is, companies need good quality posters for their promotions, shit post are mostly ignored or put in a blacklist and so is the avatar. Interesting discussions sparks one's interest and draws one to the conversation.
2902  Other / Meta / Re: Signature campaign and bounties are major factors of shit posting on: May 27, 2021, 05:19:33 PM
As for me, I will strongly disagree with that statement,  because had it been there was no signature campaigns and bounties that reward people for actively participating in this forum, bitcointalk forum would have died and be buried long time ago.. Because nobody will like to invest time in a place where he/she is not getting a penny, because with the help of bounty rewards, many have been able to own a personal blog, live a comfortable life and impact immensely in cryptocurrencies.

So, that's my point.. Thanks
I doubt if the original purpose why the forum was created in the first place was to make money. I believe the  forum is a community where you find like minds and people of similar interest( which is cryptocurrencies). There are various sections in the forum that one may pick an interest in.
Of course there's money in signature campaigns but that shouldn't be the priority. If you are interested in earning, there are services you can offer for individuals and companies and get paid.
2903  Other / Meta / Re: Signature campaign and bounties are major factors of shit posting on: May 27, 2021, 12:57:15 PM
~
I haven't read all the SCs rules in the Services section, but from what I recall last time is that most of it now require minimum of merits so that should at least minimize the chances of low-quality posters to get into the campaign,
Yes that's true. There's also the only constructive post will be counted rule. But that can also help so much when the campaign requires  70- 80 post per week. I have seen good posters make unusual posts just to meet post quota
2904  Other / Meta / Signature campaign and bounties are major factors of shit posting on: May 27, 2021, 11:44:35 AM
Signature campaigns are part of promotions, advertisements of companies in the forum. I began my journey here in December 2020 and I'm fairly new  to the forum. From my first week I read a lot of post warning newbies about shit posting. One familiar name I came to recognise was lovesmayfamilis who exposed plagiarism and attacked shit posters. So I took my time and study how to make constructive discussions and contributions to the forum. But I'm afraid many newbies fail to do this.
The problem I feel with signature campaigns is the condition that comes along with the package which is "accepted members  must post xx number of posts in a week. Some go as far as 70 posts in a week. This is the only reason that kills the quality.
Shit posters cannot represent a brand.

Signature campaigns have its pros and cons. The question is do the pros outweigh the cons or vice versa? If my assumption is true what can be done to solve the problem?
2905  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin: Humanity's last frontier of Privacy on: May 24, 2021, 11:39:02 AM
Crypto is the last frontier of privacy we have left in today's world. We live in a world that's full of so much noise, our technology has invaded every idiom of communication we have with each other, that our techs aren't safe, our phone calls aren't safe, our face times aren't safe. Our information are being sold on the black market. The only place we have left is crypto, understanding this fact I refuse to let anyone no matter how influential you might be to tell me how to spend or use my coins. The internet has been on fire these past few weeks because of a tweet from Elon Musk. A lot of people on the internet hang on his every word. It's a shame that many don't see Bitcoin for its true value, all they care about is making quick $$$ and bend whichever way favors their interest. Bitcoiners stay strong for you're the last frontier we have left.

2906  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies beware of such tricks on: May 24, 2021, 10:59:29 AM
The scam seems so obvious but you all will be shocked how many people fall prey to these things. Despite the warnings and the "obvious"  signs, they go ahead and throw in $$$ into a den. I don't know what to call it...greed? Or just plain stupid? There's a saying fool me once shame on you, fool me twice that's a shame on me. I think that's one thing people need to learn. We need to learn how to deal with shame of being conned because that's the real power the scammers have over you. They convince you not to tell anyone about your business with them, that way you don't seek external advice and are continuously bombarded with lies.
2907  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Wells Fargo: US Bank changes its mind about Bitcoin on: May 20, 2021, 06:07:43 AM
Wells Fargo now calls bitcoin an investable asset and is offering only their wealthy client a chance to buy in. This comes as a shocker especially when I think about their pessimistic view on cryptocurrencies and  actions
https://coinrivet.com/wells-fargo-bans-customers-from-purchasing-cryptocurrency/

I find this new action of Wells Fargo bank suspicious. Is this just a whale manipulation? Just after a massive dip, a famous US bank decides to changes their opinion about Bitcoin and only makes provision for the rich to buy. JP Morgan and others have been proved to be hypocrites after calling bitcoin a fraud, they later go ahead to embrace crypto.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.coindesk.com/wells-fargo-plans-to-offer-crypto-investment-to-some-clients%3famp=1

Bitcoin had a massive dump this month after the CEO of Telsa, Elon Musk said he was concerned about its environmental impact. But could a new announcement from the banks be the revival we need?

Another scam channel on telegram

Shawn Randall is a scammer. The account poses as a bitcoin trader and shows a luxurious lifestyle that attracts newbies and greedy people who are new to the crypto space.

The name of the scammers website is http//:toptrade306option.simdif.com

Note: They get hold of victims by spamming crypto related groups. They may use the guise of a beautiful woman or a rich dude to send a personal message. Report such messages as scam, dont bother to get involved in such conversations. Don't be fooled by their high numbers of subscribers on their channel, most are bots and inactive accounts.  Also note their high and unrealistic returns. No one can give you *10 of your investments. Know this and know peace.
2911  Economy / Scam Accusations / RickyBet is a scam on: May 18, 2021, 09:07:35 AM

RickyBet runs a scam channel on telegram. He lures his victims with the daily winnings on his channel and promises to send exclusive fixed matches for a fee.

Like every other scam, after the victim makes the first payment. The scammers keep demanding for more and more till they bleed their victim dry
2912  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cryptocurrency really pays on: May 18, 2021, 08:05:08 AM
Some years back when I heard about cryptocurrency from a friend, at that time I didn't bothered to ask him what it was all about and how it works. I was having the feelings that cryptocurrency was like a ponzi scheme that could crash at any time.
The media in the past have likened crypto to ponzi schemes and scams, thus shaping the reaction of the public to crypto but all that is changing now as more and more people like yourself are beginning to see what's can really be accomplished here.

Many who were into cryptocurrency are now expert in the crypto world and living large. Today am so glad to be in this forum to learn and get more knowledge about cryptocurrency.
[/quote]
I guess you are refering to your friends you mentioned earlier. But that can't be right. The number of years one has been in the crypto doesn't make you an expert.  Don't be fooled by the luxurious lifeatyle posed on the internet. The crypto space is not all rosy as you will soon come to find out.
Here are some good books you could read up. Good luck

My condolences to the family, such a sad news coming at this time.
I can't begin the pain the family and loved ones are going through at the moment. It's always difficult having to deal with losing a loved one. I didn't know Becky666 personally but he was easy to spot on the Nigerian hangout because he was always active. Farewell to Bexky666, although you may no longer be with us but your contribution to the bitcoin community will never be forgotten. Thank you for sharing your beautiful spirit with us.

Also this comes as a wake up call, this news came to us through Lordhermes who had a good relationship with Becky666. This goes to say even though the forum provides some sort of anonymity we should try our best to interact and meet up with our countrymen and members around your city. This would help us develop a stronger bond in the future.

Yeah, market manipulation so they can buy the dip. That's the power of whales....we have seen this happen before so its not new
Its funny how bitcoin hodlers always wail and panic about every dip.

Its really so sad to see a player as good as Eden Hazard become so bad at playing football...Real Madrid should just loan him next season to a smaller club to build his confidence
2919  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: May 07, 2021, 08:55:22 AM
This year's champions league final promises to be an interesting one. Two of England's biggest clubs are facing off in the final. Manchester city have dominated the English premier league this season and they have proved to the formidable team. Pep has once again proved himself as a tactical mastermind. Chelsea on the other hand shocked a lot of people by winning Real Madrid and emerging as finalist. Whichever side wins I'm just glad the UCL is coming to England
2920  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New Comers into crypto on: May 07, 2021, 07:49:20 AM
For newbies don't make the mistake of likening crypto to gambling. You'd be disappointed with the outcome.
Top of the list and probably the most important is Do your own research. As simple as that sounds a lot of people really do not go through the rigorous process of research the project they want to invest in. They gather all their information from the media houses and boom they throw their money in. This may work a few times but its bound to fail. DYOR will save you
