2901  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: BTC smart watch NFT on: February 20, 2022, 06:08:05 AM
Hi Op, Your art is fine but the color of the watch makes it difficult for me to recognize that it's a watch. Unlike the other collections with black color. Consider polishing the watch to have the bitcoin logo in a suitable color that will explain to people that it's a watch at a glance. The idea is fine and sell-able keep it up.
2902  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Basics on: February 19, 2022, 02:26:26 PM
The first basics of bitcoin is to know the network that controls the affairs of bitcoin. Sending and receiving of bitcoin is done on the blockchain network. Do not see bitcoin as a get rich quick scheme and the more you choose to learn about bitcoin the better for you. Because bitcoin is filled with multiple of knowledge that's yet to be learnt by it's users. So, if you care to know much about bitcoin, you'll be compelled to browse the forum on regular basis to understand how the network works. Another basic you need to know is that the capital B is different from the small b in bitcoin terms. Capital B means the Blockchain network, and the small b means the coin. Therefore when you see Bitcoin it means blockchain network while bitcoin is meant for the coin. cheers.

I will see who the hell people who will pay around $20 fees to send a few dollars of ethereum that can't be withdrawn.

If the Ethereum cannot get withdrawn then what's the essence of implementing the tipping feature? Is it a way to publicize Ethereum on twitter or just a gradual step that will get resolved, soon it can be withdrawn. Besides, the countries where the feature are supported like India are tech countries that already know about Ethereum and as a form of publicity it'll yield a brief result for the cryptocurrency. Actually, I don't see a good reason for this feature though, especially if it can't get withdrawn regardless of the Gas fee.
2904  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drake Wagered $1.3 million in super bowl bet using bitcoin on: February 19, 2022, 01:23:50 AM
As far as I know he wasn't paid by stake to share his bet but during the livestream that is run on the weekend Eddie the owner of Stake did mention about the bet placed by their user account but not by name. Those who are frequent players on the platform know who he is on there due to his (user)name being mentioned on the chat numerous times.
Even if he didn't want it known how much he has wagered on a bet like this, the news media has already made it public from this report put out by bloomberg the financial outlet's cryptocurrency section:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-64mYm02nYk
Maybe mentioning the name of a celebrity inside his own casino is not allowed? Because, people would go crazy if the owner's says that or maybe he is just being humble there and he do not want other gamblers to know that there is a celebrity playing on his casino except for the people that already know it via the public chat. I didn't check the video but is the video posted first before drake posted his bets on public?

We don't need to worry about this guy's security because he have lots of body guards and normal guards in his house. This bet alone is not the only thing or the last thing that he will flex but there are more to come.

Drake did not make his fortune from gambling he is a rapper and a performer and he commands a huge price for every concert that he's been doing, in fact, there are reports that he loses a lot from gambling, and what about those unreported we really don't know his losses and his winnings for all we know he is not only playing on Stake.com, Drake is a compulsive gambler no remorse if he losses millions, we never know if one day he becomes broke from gambling.

That's a negative thing, just because he is gambling millions doesn't mean he would go broke, what if the guy is winning? and what if the guy can afford the amount he is gambling? I know Mayweather is also gambling million of dollars, but look where he is now, he still financially free and been making money from his boxing promotions.

As for all I know, Drake is a big partner of Stake and he cannot go broke by betting on stake, because he'll still get rewarded for posting stake on his Instagram page with millions of organic followers that will end up using Stake because of Drake. I'm a huge fan of Drake and I know how other fans of his feel whenever he affiliates a product on his Instagram page. Many of them will search for stake and bitcoin at same time. Moreover, they are other means that drake will recover his funds even if his bet doesn't win him money. He got millions of streams on spotify, youtube and apple music play these streaming platforms fetch him regular incomes as a rapper in the US.
2905  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.com.au in probelms for unwanted gambling advertising on: February 19, 2022, 01:03:48 AM
checked the link to the article and read that the institution in control of spam in Australia is taking such step to stop young misinformed people from going into gambling. They is a high degree of people that commit suicide because of gambling, especially those that gambled with the loan they took from the bank. Such dispute in a country should be looked into by the Government and its the reason why the betting company got charged of a huge sum of money for misleading over 3000 citizens that read the spam messages including youths who are not interested in gambling. On the other hand, the sport bet company have accepted to handle the bills and as also suspended email marketing at the moment.
2906  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador positions itself as the first Bitcoin city at Expo2020 in Dubai on: February 19, 2022, 12:42:33 AM
While watching the video I remembered that a bitcoin city will increase number of Bitcoin ATMs in the world as so many will be installed in such city for people to use. Bitcoin, is almost a global term and many countries are looking for a means to diversify their economy towards the potentials of the digital currency. I always think of a city like this, that will be tax free, such that the Government can employ lots of bitcoin miners in the city and provide enough power for them to mine and they'll take the daily rewards or fees as tax from the citizens. If such an Idealogy gets deployed in the bitcoin city then such city will get completely decentralized and few people will have a little to do with fiat and many people will transact using bitcoin to provide tax for the Government through transaction fees.
2907  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How I convinced a Stock Trader to Invest in Bitcoin on: February 19, 2022, 12:26:21 AM
I think your uncle became so much interested in bitcoin the moment he discovered his Nephew will walk him through the whole market and teach him how things work out. As a stock trader, the terms may sound different but, may share same meaning to him. Despite the volatility he still fell in love with the market because he is used to that in the stock market. So, what we do at the cryptocurrency market is almost the same with other markets like the stock market. OP, I would want to know if he shared some similarities with you between crypto market and the stock market? they will be a lot to learn from such similar comparison.
2908  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: JPMorgan Is the First Bank Into the Metaverse, Looks at Business Opportunities on: February 17, 2022, 11:48:49 PM
JPmorgan not accepting bitcoin doesn't mean that they won't jump into the biggest technology in the world. The virtual reality is (Metaverse) booming and buying a lounge in the decentraland ecosystem is a way of being part of the project and they will make profits out of their investment. Good investors like the banking firms always look for a means to invest other people's money. Since a lot of funds is been locked into compound interest, I think the bank always look for a means to use those funds for quick profits.
2909  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bear vs Bull : The Beauty Of Cryptocurrency on: February 17, 2022, 11:21:15 PM
The bear market serves as the best time for more people to get hold of bitcoin or other cryptocurrency at a cheaper rate. While the bull market is a way to reward people who held through the bearish time either by hodl or buying the dip. So, the both terms helps the market and without these two phenomenon the cryptocurrency market will not circulate properly. The image is self explanatory and people should learn through such phrases that makes it easier for people to understand how the market works.
2910  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ukraine Just Legalized Bitcoin on: February 17, 2022, 11:09:12 PM
Bitcoin is a safe haven for countries that have Eco's of war. But, it's not a new thing when Government Ban or Legalize bitcoin because people can still utilize their coins in different manners in the country where it's legalized or banned. Ukraine will see no much changes in their economy despite the recent news about bitcoin. I don't think it's something to celebrate though, unless for the few other citizens of Ukraine that will start using bitcoin for the first time in the country.
2911  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be accepted for tax payments in Colorado on: February 17, 2022, 10:59:20 PM
This news is a huge acceptance of bitcoin in the United States where so many people didn't believe in bitcoin. Paying taxes in bitcoin will boost the usage of bitcoin in Colorado and citizens of the State will discuss the implementation of bitcoin to other Citizens in different states. Such topics among people in the USA will help disseminate the usage of bitcoin in USA. The Government of Colorado will have to fight with the volatility of bitcoin and also wait to see the other side of bitcoin the fact that their tax can increase while in the wallet where it'll be saved.
2912  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN FUNDRAISING FOR OTTAWA TRUCK DRIVERS on: February 17, 2022, 06:39:54 AM
The decentralized means of donations is all good. But, on the other flip, the funds cannot be shared the way it's been said in the article. They are only a few set of people in control of the funds and must have spent some bitcoin on their personal interest without the consent of the truck drivers. The truck drivers should have a bitcoin address where all the money will be disseminated among them to handle whatever damages the protest have cost them.

Than promising to utilize the bitcoin by percentage. It will take a long time to detect how the holders of the bitcoin spent the money if the truck drivers will have to wait for them to handle the damages and pay for fuel and other maintenance. I hope they achieved the goal of the protest though. Because distributing money saved in bitcoin will not go so accurate as expected by the group.
2913  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Oscars to include Fan-Favorite Film via Twitter on: February 17, 2022, 05:56:27 AM
Before Oscar chose twitter they must have gone through all these thoughts and found that it's not easy to spam twitter with bots. Their API will be monitored and twitter has a specific time for different kinds of actions. If multiple accounts carry out many votes the system will definitely ban those accounts because their actions look like it's bot and many times the accounts will be subjected by twitter to verify if it's a bot or not. The only way to get out of this is by drip feeding the actions from time to time which will make it difficult for twitter to detect such malicious voting. Moreover, Twitter is more secured than other social medias like Instagram in terms of bot activities that's why Oscar may have chosen them for the Fan favorite Film voting.
2914  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto space is a land of possibilities on: February 16, 2022, 10:14:47 PM
They are lot of impossibilities in the cryptocurrency space; the coins you listed above have been anticipated to hit the $1 peak for years but, it's been impossible for doge coin. Sometimes, you should look at the reaction of other people on a particular project before investing into it. Most of the people who frown at a specific project must have invested into the project but, didn't get a positive result after a long while of waiting for the coin to become profitable. It's a wrong advise for newbies to continue waiting for a coin that the price keeps bleeding.

The best thing to say instead is to look out for projects that have a wide acceptance like Ethereum and invest into it. Knowing that you are holding a better coin that will yield profits along side with bitcoin. Calling out doge coin as a coin that will do wonders (something I'm not doubting) is not conducive for newbies because they may not endure the wait before they quit. Such experience has made a lot of investors to think that other cryptocurrencies are like the doge coin.

You should write fictional story.

I think Op is seeing the future and anything can happen on earth if some of Nostradamus critic stories happened then, I think that something similar to what Op just stated can also come to past if the government starts to notice that the world is heading to a one currency era where the whole world circulates at one currency the cryptocurrency and the whales getting unexpected power. It sounds funny, but fiction always sounds funny but, when it comes to play people will refer back to when it was stated by someone in the forum. Definitely, non of us will be here to testify if such a war later happened on Earth though.
2916  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The most reliable coin to invest in is Bitcoin. on: February 16, 2022, 09:28:46 PM
I think the bitcoin price will increase after the month of February when the Asians will round up their new year. In the past, I remember that most Asians who hodl bitcoin sold a lot of their bitcoin during their New year season to buy gifts for their loved ones. This happened in 2018 when bitcoin price dropped from $20k down to $11k. February is a significant month in the bitcoin price history except for last year when Elon Musk and other whales pumped the price of bitcoin to an unexpected ATh. It's better to hold bitcoin than any other Alt because majority of the people go for bitcoin and when people mention cryptocurrency the first coin that comes in mind is bitcoin. It paves way for other cryptocurrencies and they all follow the price of bitcoin. If it's bearish time for bitcoin so it'll be for many other Alt coins in the market.
2917  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CrazyTime and Monopoly, should we trust? on: February 13, 2022, 09:56:35 PM
OP they are two players in the live casino industry which is the gaming and live room providers. The game providers control the game how it should be played and the live room owners take care of the gaming environments you enjoy on screen including the croupiers. What you need to check before patronizing any live casino is the Gaming providers because they are in-charge of the outcome. If you confirm through live casino review sites that they offer Provably fair then you can stake and enjoy your views of pretty women. In some games like live Baccarat; numerous users can share one table without them knowing. The live room owners cannot manipulate results, they are there to provide the live room.
2918  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not a safe haven for criminals on: February 13, 2022, 09:18:36 PM
If I don't care on spending lots of UTXO in one shot, reusing addresses, mixing coins, coinjoining etc., that doesn't necessarily mean that Bitcoin is bad for criminals. Lots have been caught and it's generally not a good idea if you're going to do something really bad, but it depends from whom you want to hide. Is it your wife or your employer? They aren't going to find out much if you use Bitcoin. Is it the government? You're screwed.

However, I read that those two kept the private keys of the 119,754 BTC to a cloud server. I highly doubt they were cautious enough. Also, this doesn't make sense:
I think the transaction the Government cannot track in the block-chain technology has not be made.

I don't understand the aspect you translated the meaning of the phrase. But, I think once a transaction gets confirmed on the blockchain, and the ID is available for everyone to access the Government can trace the transaction through some FBI tools. If a fund is not moved they won't be a way for the Government to know that such a huge amount is been disseminated on different wallets such that it can be changed to fiat. I don't think any criminal will ever hodl bitcoin without changing it to fiat. That's what I meant by that.
2919  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drake Wagered $1.3 million in super bowl bet using bitcoin on: February 13, 2022, 09:07:09 PM
It's been a big trend on social media since the Canadian shared his bet slips containing how much he staked on the super bowl in bitcoin. And how much he will receive in bitcoin if the Rams defeat the Cincinnati Bengals in Los Angeles, which is about $2.29 million in bitcoin. The betting industry has a great acceptance of bitcoin. He made other stakes using bitcoin as well. But, what matters is how more celebrities with big fan Bases promote bitcoin. It's such a better way of increasing the usage of bitcoin in Betting Firms.
From the betting slip that you included in your OP, it was $500 thousand that is there, but it is true because I read it too that Drake staked that amount of money. I hope the amount is not too much though, as a celebrity and the wealth he has, the amount can be the little for him but so big for me, the last bet I played was with $20 and I can not go further than that. I too will wish Drake to win the game, but this should not be frequent because gambling is risky, but I like the news because people will use it to know much more about gambling with crypto gambling site organizations.

The amount of money a gambler makes out of staking on games determines how much they'll keep betting. It's a game, and we all understand how it works. For Drake, to drop half a million dollars on a game means he has made more than millions of dollars while betting. To support their expensive lifestyles I think betting on cryptocurrency is the fastest means of making money from the ecosystem. Musicians cannot trade because of the thin time they have for themselves.
2920  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drake Wagered $1.3 million in super bowl bet using bitcoin on: February 13, 2022, 08:55:35 PM
apart from bitcoin getting more recognition it looks like this is great publicity for stake.com. win or lose stake would still get something out of it. I mean, I am pretty sure this news about drake betting on sports on stake.com would attract gamblers(especially his fans that is also a gambler) to try the website out since a highly influential person is using it.

Now, the question is what if he loses? Is he gonna cry about it or regret for betting too much? It seems that he's too confident who's going to win or is it just he loves to gamble for his favorite team?

Gamblers are not scared to lose. That's why they took the risk. Drake thinks of how much he'll win if they win the game, and he also staked some funds on his friend that will play the game. So, it's also a big win for his friend, for getting signed to the club. I think every gambler has two plans why they stake on a bet. Drake cannot lose on both ways.
