If the key is used, you can not use it?

 Huh
2902  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New Ixcoin fork -> I0coin on: June 02, 2012, 12:42:53 AM
I had it for about 8 months. I0coin even got up to 0.001 several times. I never sold.
What ever I say, just goes through one ear, comes out the other ear.
Without even processing it.

...
2903  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New Ixcoin fork -> I0coin on: June 02, 2012, 12:33:49 AM
Actually have an idea, I would like to start several faucet sites, if someone can create one.
I can get it going, this will get more people into i0coins.

And I can keep them going for some time.
2904  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New Ixcoin fork -> I0coin on: June 02, 2012, 12:12:12 AM
Well it seems i0coin is still progressing, even if slowly.
Since it is a community based project,
I hope it succeeds and the bugs are fixed.

Good thing is everyone contributed a little bit,
and every little bit makes a difference.

And that's what I call a decentralized community
based currency. Hopefully one day it gets
recognized, and becomes a bigger currency.
And one day we can let everyone know
that this is completely a community based currency.

TRANSLATION: 'I AM HOLDING APPROXIMATELY 250,000 I0COINS'

Cosbycoin, I am here saying this because I contributed myself, with pictures, and files
for the program icon. I actually contributed. And I made the i0coins myself in photoshop, that taken hours, and hours

If I didn't contributed, then yes someone with that much would be doing excatly what I am doing.
But I did help as well to the community based project.

I want this to succeed, because it is a driven community project and I have helped as well.
I am hoping it goes well.

There was a time a long time ago, when the network dropped to nearly nill.
I threw 3 giga hashes at it for a long time to support it.
I tried calling in a lot of people, to keep it at a resonable Ghash amount.
So it doesn't get taken down from all the sites.

If I didn't do this it would of completely died.
So I'll tell everyone the truth I do in fact have 600,000 i0coins.

But I don't plan on killing it.
And Its more unlikely since I told you the truth completely.
Some people here already knows I have that.

Though I may of lost the wallet file. Its been a long long time since I opened it.
And I have may forgot to transfer the file from my other computer the i0coin wallet.
When I did the formatting on the hard-drive. Just hope I still have it.

Yes I still have it. Just found it (Update)

Yes, David. You order to the same address as before.
Even though you sent $640 we received only $602.76 and we are researching to
see why so much was extracted from the payment. So let me email you tomorrow,
when I have heard from the bank. --Sonny

Date: Wednesday, April 4, 2012 (Sent: 4:48:54 PM)

Okay I will do the ordering tomorrow then. Until then I wait into your bank gets back to you.

Best regards
David

Haven't yet got another email, But I want to buy two more actually. Which totals three.
Once I get confirmation, then I will send the amount for two more.

* So let me email you tomorrow, when I have heard from the bank. --Sonn*

Its been over 6 days. You haven't emailed me yet. And I haven't got the confirmation through yet to do the ordering.
I want to buy 2 more, but you said let me email you tomorrow once I heard from bank.
I am still waiting on the bank confirmation.

I know you have 100 orders, and its quite hard dealing with that many.
But by now 6 days I should of gotten a response?

Best regards
David

Hi David,

We have been off shipping product. Sorry to be so long getting back to you. The bank was slow getting back to me. They were in error and its all straightened out now. Your payment has been noted and your BitForce SHA256 Single is secure. Your date of purchase is 03/23/2012. I will keep you informed as to the expected delivery date of your order.

If you still want to order more you can use the same routing information. Let me know if you need me to send it again.

David,

Did you send an order through the online order template? I received your bankwire but I don't see your order for 3 more.

Jody
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I sent you an email, and you said in the pass that I can just send to the bankwire and you would be fine.
I also given the wire confirmation.

Did you get this?Huh
I guess you are a different person.

Hi David,

I hear you are frustrated with my response time and I am sorry. The bankwires take some time to clear and while I wait for them I am answering many other emails. I have noted your order but have not confirmed the bankwire yet.

Jody D.

I didn't see anyone defending BFL practice.

However the guarantee is simply a refund of purchase price if you wish to cancel.  The OP chose not to take that option.

Personally I think they should put up a realistic timeframe (which would be 6 - 10 weeks) and offer a better guarantee (i.e. non-delivery penalty) but BFL has enough orders that honestly they don't really give a shit.

That being said, the devil is in the details.  The OP assumed the "guarantee" entitled him to some sort of compensation.  He didn't.  At some point personal responsibility comes into play.

I believe most people think the guarantee means more when they order, I've never seen it stated anywhere what it means. The wording makes it seem like they have never missed a deadline. Any legit business takes returns on items unless custom made, especially if they have not even filled the order yet. I expected my order to be late what I placed it. I was not annoyed until support started sending me complete bs delivery times. Seems like their policy to extremely exaggerate shipping dates until the bitter end.

Also when I sent emails, they said they would get back to me in one day with an address to send money to for BFL units.
But no sadly they came back to me in about 2 weeks later, saying srry and things posting address.
I sent money to it and someone else said We got the transaction what was this?

I was like uh that is for the 3 BFL units.

Not the best customer service

If you really want to push this, take it to them - the forums aren't going to be sympathetic, though I suppose you've probably figured that out already.

Yeah I can already see that.

Perhaps a $25~$50 compensation pay back per BFL unit?

Quote
provide compensation at insane levels

$25-$50 isn't insane levels  Huh
I do agree the previous I said was, But I did self corrected it.
And said at least this amount.
2912  Other / Off-topic / Re: BFL UNIT 832 DEVICES on: May 30, 2012, 02:59:53 AM
Um If i just canceled it after 42 days, that is a lot of mining time loss...
I sold all my video cards to trade for BFL units.

If I just canceled I would lose a lot of mining time.

Again I am merely pointing this out from the customer perception, a company offers a offer, if it can't be meant
There should be compensation for the customers. Even if its little, there should be some.

I agree you were good to not bitch about it, but I am just comparing to real life companies,
If they can't meet there timeline, they should give their customers something in return.
For making it up.

Listen, I am right at the top of the list, and do you hear me bitching? No.

Its the company job to give the customer the compensation for its mistake, its not the customer job to ask for it.

2914  Other / Off-topic / Re: BFL UNIT 832 DEVICES on: May 30, 2012, 02:07:44 AM
No offense, but you are an idiot, you are pulling numbers out of your ass, and asking a company that I would guess is selling BFLs at almost cost (based on their price vs other fpgas that are selling at cost for $500 or so) to give out thousands of dollars they don't have because you were unhappy that you got something 18 days late.

Just saying they should give something back.
I properly was over the top.

But I am just pointing things out that
there are a lot of unhappy people out there.
2915  Other / Off-topic / Re: BFL UNIT 832 DEVICES on: May 30, 2012, 02:04:20 AM
-Well properly 3+ BFL unit orders should be given this deal.
And lesser then 3 BFL units should be deposited $100-$300 cash back.

A free BFL unit to everyone is a little over the top, but I added this above.
2916  Other / Off-topic / Re: BFL UNIT 832 DEVICES on: May 30, 2012, 02:02:14 AM
Well everyone on the list should be given a free BFL unit not just me.
-Well properly 3+ BFL unit orders should be given this deal.
And lesser then 3 BFL units should be deposited $100-$300 cash back.

Thats only 60 free BFL units, properly only costs $300 to make, an guess.
$300*60=$18,000.

But they have made much more then that. I am sure they can compensate.
Besides if they do compensate, a lot more customers will join them, yielding
more then $18,000 for them being nice to do so.
2917  Other / Off-topic / Re: BFL UNIT 832 DEVICES on: May 30, 2012, 01:59:09 AM
I protest compensation!

Why are you asking us?

Because a lot of you have also gotten this?

Hello on BFL site it clearly states Delivery: Units are shipped within four to six weeks from the date of purchase.
Meaning 28-42 Days.

Mine got shipped in 60 days. Does BFL offer any compensation for this?
For breaking their *are* which means *will*, isn't it breaking a promise?
I ordered 4 in total. They should either offer another BFL unit for free
for going past their date info. Which 4-6 weeks is clearly false.

It should of said it may be 4-6 or more. It just says 4-6 weeks.

I would like some compensation for mining loss times.
BFL would be nice to offer another BFL unit for free to ship as of this.

Best regards

Release a nice overclocking program if possible, with voltage dials/over clocking dials.
Over time the voltage on parts can be dropped, like my CPU for example after an year of running
it was able to drop to 1.1875 volts from 1.45, But when it was new it crashed at 1.35, so over time
it will be able to under-volt more.

And really since it throttles isn't it the best to flash it with a 1000 Mhash one, and it Auto-throttles to the right area,
so in a -10 Celsuis day with my fan blowing onto this it would be able to go to 1000 Mhash with auto-overclocking,
But at the summer it will auto clock to 760 or so.

Really why not just create a driver that Overclocks the device into it hits 50 degrees auto.
Its the temperature that is the problem normally in overclocking. This would add extreme convenience,
If I add a water block or something, it would go up to 1100 Mhash on its own to yield the 50 degrees,
why not do that? Reasons?

And what if 1Ghs firmware kills the FPGA, will you complain and send it back for replacement, or take the loss like a man ?

Overclocks the device into it hits 50 degrees auto. (This would guarantee it from not over-heating, it would keep at 50 degrees,
Don't see how it would kill it
)

It won't die, unless you touch the voltage. A lot of units can such as video cards over clock a ton before voltage increase is needed.
I never had a over clocking component die.

Overclocking only kills it if it over-heats. People have taken CPUS up to 7 GHZ but it was with liquid nitrogen, it didn't die.
