2901  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion Thread || Current discussion: AFCON - Finals. on: February 12, 2022, 07:20:00 AM
Every game could be "luck", even if you have the greatest team in the entire world, some luck wouldn't hurt. Considering Nigeria didn't really play all that well, and Tunisia played their usual self, it was expected to have a result like this. The best version of Nigerian team could easily beat Tunisia, we have seen them be awesome many many times, but sometimes teams just do not their best.

This could be considered as a way to gain experience and sometimes even the best teams have bad games and this was one of them for Nigeria and nothing more. Obviously if they played 10 games, I would wager Nigeria to be winners 5+ times. Tunisia also played with the similar roster for a while now and this allowed them to be a lot better than expected, having the same tactics with the same players is not something national teams get to do too frequently.

The game wasn't fair and not in our favour when super eagles played 10 players against 11 player and ended the game with 0-1 isn't really bad.
Alex was one of the top player that Nigeria depended on as a midfielder but unintentionally got a red card in the first 6 minutes of the game and the whole player became off balanced. Thanks to Okoye, the Nigerian Basket goalkeeper Undecided is just a no no for me with his style of jumping and handling balls.
Give Nigeria another chance Tunisia, we will show them what eagles are capable of doing under no pressure.
2902  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the most important features of an online crypto casino? on: February 11, 2022, 03:47:23 PM
So you take note - In the pool, you said we can choose up to 5, but the pool actually doesn't allow selection of more than 1 option.

We are limited to option selection, Op would have gotten a straightforward answer in %.

Quote
If the pool allowed selection of more than 1 options, ones I would have chosen are below -

1. Payout speed - this is very important for any genuine casino (not just a crypto casino)

I think speed is an element that depends on the user's network. If I initiate a withdrawal in Casino A using Bitcoin and the network becomes heavy in processing transactions, I have to wait or choose another payment method.

Quote
2. Withdrawal limits - this is also very important, a good casino will allow withdrawal of the smallest amount as long as its enough that  the withdrawal fees has been deducted, there is still something left to send to the user's wallet.
This may also depend on the type of network. If a casino make a minimum of $3 and you want it to be withdrawn in BTC, that may be impossible but maybe over in Ripple or Tron.

Quote
4. Variety of cryptocurrencies - this specific to crypto casinos, crypto casinos as the name implies should have different types of cryptocurrencies to which users can deposit to and withdraw from the platform with.

I will want to see Fiat deposit and withdrawal also.

Quote
5. Responsiveness to Complaints - alot of platforms, not just casinos are lacking in this aspect, and it is one of the most important, there are alot of newbies in this space and they all need help from time to time, how fast a casino responds to thier customers queries wil determine how ready and serious they are for and with their business.

Having support on social media will be helpful, they facilitate tickets to the person in charge when platform support is playing hard to help.

snip

Can you include No KYC, it is an important feature that shouldn't be ignored.

To be honest, I do not quite understand what the problem is? We are newbies here. Can we, according to the rules of the bitcointalk forum, repost articles here if we originally posted them in the main blog on our site?

And this cannot be considered as plagiarism, this is our official StealtEX crypto exchange account here on this forum.

Unfortunately, being newbies, we do not have the right to leave links to our original posts.

First post at 11:10:09 AM and second at 11:16:41 AM. Learn to merge your discussion together in a single post.
You can post a link as long is not a referral or a harmaful link. Always give credit to original writer when using their materials on BTT by using a quote and a source link to that materials.

Do you think this competition is fair?
Bitcointalk Community Awards 2021

Honestly looking on these waking-up noname users voting for its high-ranked alts I doubt in fairness of this contest

This competition takes place with numerous violations of common sense

Concerned people actively donates the merits for those who vote in their favor

An election must be free and fair and I'm confident that it's going as it suppose to be, The entire mods are watching and if they are not satisfied, they would have alarmed the voting system.
The rule says a Voter must have earned 50 merits or be a Full member and believe after the whole voting, there will begin a transparent counting and full audit. Concerning participants meriting voters, I think they are just appreciating their voters for recognizing their efforts in the forum.

Permit me to ask you, Do you go out to vote during presidential elections? There is something called Influential voting behavior, it happens between peer groups, family, and friends, that's exactly what you noticed and makes you feel uncomfortable.

For example,
In the Scambuster nomination, I chose Ratimov because I am familiar with his thread until I notice everyone included lovesmayfamilis and you know what, They both deserve that nomination and I have to pick both of them in that category.
2905  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will be the next big industry move? on: February 11, 2022, 10:03:55 AM
When we see a movie about technology, scientists are trying to bring that into reality.
As VR technology, we already see things in many movies and nowadays, we are close to that reality that we may see it will come to us shortly.
So although we think that it is impossible to have that technology that we do not imagine before, with a new technology invented, that can be possible to happen in the future.
I think the gambling business will evolve into something we could not imagine before.

Have you ever checkmate what will happen to nature if technology takes over the entire space? We've seen some advancements in games and sports, but it's at the expense of the natural fun we used to have.
Football for example, where the referee decides on every outcome of the game, but things have changed so much that they now have to preview a VAR before making a decision. I'm not saying it's bad, but the fun is fading without our notice.
Very soon, robots will be used to replace linemen, this is another issue that will shift jobs from the common man to machines.  Sad

By the way, is this allowed on BTT, I know it is a writeup from stealthex but it will be proper if you give credit to the original writer.
I will edit my post if OP is on the track!

2909  Economy / Trading Discussion / A few key points distinguishing traders from gamblers on: February 09, 2022, 09:45:52 PM
I was looking through the weekly Tradingview education and I came across one that was really interesting. It discussed what separates a trader from a gambler.
Unfortunately, most people confuse trading with gambling, When they trade(gamble) and lose money, they blame the market or blame what causes the incompetence and justify it with poor excuses.
It is not easy to be a professional trader, but practice makes you confident in what you do for a job. This is not a guaranteed or comprehensive trading strategy, but the few points are excellent for anyone to be a trader.

Quote
1) As a trader, one’s aim is to focus on the next 100 trades instead of the next 10. Long-term success, profitability, and consistency are two of the main things traders should target. However, a gambler’s wish and desire is to make quick money.

2) A successful trader/investor has a backtested trading plan that he sticks to and optimizes along the way, adapting to changing market conditions. On the other hand, gamblers like to trade based off what other people think and tweet, or by simply opening a random Buy/Sell position and hoping it plays out successfully.

3) Profitable traders always diversify their portfolio and risk no more than 1-2% per trade. On the contrary, gamblers go “full margin mode” on a single trade without setting a Stop Loss and end up blowing their accounts and blaming the markets.

4) Chasing markets and rushing the process is not what real traders do. Instead, they follow their plan and wait for the price to play out and match their entry criteria before executing. Nonetheless, gamblers like to overtrade, open positions based on nothing, make biased decisions.

5) When enduring a loss or two (or three), traders neither get emotional nor try to revenge the markets. They know that if they obey risk management principles and open high risk-to-reward positions, they will cover all their previous losses and get back to making profits. Gamblers, on the other hand, get angry and start attempting to revenge the market by making foolish decisions and entering many illogical trades.

6) Last but not least, if you want to be successful and profitable in this field, you have to treat trading as a business and take things seriously. Those that think markets are a playground or a casino machine will never succeed in this space.

2912  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Binance action revitalize Nigeria community? on: February 09, 2022, 08:10:43 AM

Otherwise, is there any proof to your claim? Tongue
I don't think any proof is needed, as this is opinion.

There is difference between fact and truth.
When you said binance are fueling illicit activities, your opinion doesn't just wake up your mind and say something like that, you should have read it somewhere before your opinion may count on a statement. I don't trust centralized exchange after reading so many count charges on Tether manipulation but your statement doesn't justify binance.

I read about those freeze accounts and I was damn Happy about that, they were rusting p2p section for other legitimate traders and hustlers.

I have similar thread opened >>here<<
What happen to anything that is so dependent on others? A day will appear that you will get denied oe that bridge and if you so depend on it, you will fall so hard that you can break easily.
That's exactly what happened to Facebook and other tech giants, they rely on personalized data to disperse Ads but the new IOS updates isn't helping the companies like then.
I like it though, give privacy power to the owner, allow me to give access to whoever needs it and if I don't, so be it.

This happens sometimes and it takes more than an hour for activity or post to update. The account is still fresh I think, give it more time, it will change post count.
2915  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin from the economic perspective on: February 09, 2022, 05:56:21 AM
Going through some countries economic performance and statistics I came to a big conclusion that the economic benefit bitcoin as an approved currency in a country is way more than the disadvantages of Bitcoin to an economy but what the government in scared is the decentralization of the financial system.

What the government cannot control doesn't exist in their cycle. They are pained and still in pain that satoshi idea wasn't funded by their highly inflated money, that's why the idea of giving bitcoin a chance in their failed system is so hard for them to accept.
Have you thought about it, what will have happen to the world of Bitcoin was designed by US or Russia? That would have been an oppression to other countries and would want to do the same and I'm very confident that it will collapse in no time except that they know how to mass print dollars the way they feel.
Bitcoin/Crypto will not have adoption by all countries but there are some that denied it in public and steal from people in silence, North Korea does that a lot. Grin
2916  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin a truly censorship resistance, Tallycoin raised fund for Canadian trucks on: February 08, 2022, 05:18:19 PM

Bitcoiners smashed the 10 BTC goal 4 hours ago and did it again with ease.
The target has been raised to 2,000,000,000 sats this time, and donations are still flowing in. At this point, I am concerned about the custody of this donation if it will be effectively handled for the purpose.

2918  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin a truly censorship resistance, Tallycoin raised fund for Canadian trucks on: February 07, 2022, 04:43:42 PM
The amount to be raised appears to have been updated, the previous target was achieved and it has been raised to 1,000,000,00 sats, yet strangely, donations continue to pour in. People are really supportive, and I'm convinced that bitcoiners have one of the purest hearts in the world.
As of this writing, 88% had been reached.

2919  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin a truly censorship resistance, Tallycoin raised fund for Canadian trucks on: February 07, 2022, 03:29:06 AM
The truckers convoy and the Gofundme platform didn't work out when millions of dollars were raised against the Covid 19 protest and people's free movement in Canada.
The truckers convoy protest has been going on for over a week now since many people have been forced to take Covid 19 vaccines and have been restricted from moving around. It was going well and had received a lot of support and donations until Gofundme halted the donations and claimed to refund money to donors if they specifically ask for it or the money will be redirected to charity after police declared it an unlawful activity.

Tallycoin[1], a platform built on the bitcoin blockchain with zero fees and a lightning network, was able to help raise donations from several people from different continents and several Satoshi's in less than 48 hours, totalling more than $250,000.

Source: https://tallyco.in/s/lzxccm/

The objective was to raise 615,000,000 sats, and as of this writing, it has achieved 646,120,679 sats and counting.

Suggestion
I'll like to use this singular opportunity to suggest that, real-life events that birth from this forum should be regarded as bitcoin oriented and therefore run on the TheBitcoinTalkShow. This would earn not just the forum but bitcoin some publicity it needs and also, teach to the people.
There is an opened thread by BtcTalkShow where anyone can freely recommend a thread, post or event to be hosted on the show, I think that will fasten up your idea to get feature on the show.

Here is the suggestion thread >>[BitcoinTalkShow]Best of January suggestions<<

Quote
1. Do we grasp the opportunities to enlighten ignorant forks on what bitcoin/cryptos is all about?
2. Do we really engage in any activity to teach locals about bitcoin/cryptos?
3. How has bitcoin helped someone close to you or even yourself?

Permit me to combine your questions together.
To be honest, those donations were significant and aided many families, but we all have limitations in terms of how we want to educate or transmit information, especially in an atmosphere where you must persuade people several times before they would listen to your counsel.
I have stopped evangelising some locals about the doings of bitcoin, why?
I have usually had challenges with two sets of people.

The average money wanderers: The expectation out there is very high in the sense that they want something that will yield faster results and a quick profit, ones the expectation doesn't go as planned, they give up.
The below-average will listen to you but will never want to take a step because of money hindrance to begin.
The easiest way to spread bitcoin/crypto are students, I discussed and chat with them at the given opportunity and the responses I get amaze me as some of them already know about what bitcoin is all about but not much detail.
