2901  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I now accept bitcoin payments in my Beauty shop on: January 03, 2023, 03:22:17 PM
Congratulations on your bold steps to accepting bitcoin as a means of payment for services rendered. I have long wanting this time to come whereby individuals and participants of this platform would start taking this step in accepting bitcoin for their services. If we all can do this within our reach in our various locality, I strongly believe it would spread like wide fire and however, it would also result to others around us  who have been rejecting this proposal to wanting to knowing more about bitcoin and as well accepting it for their service.
I see some people talking bad about these activities of bitcoin promotion and adoption, but forget that we all are in the same course and it takes bold steps to getting someone onboard this platform to accepting bitcoin. If only they have been able to talk to a single individual then they would know what it takes to talk sense into someone to showing them the opportunities a particular system offers.
You have done well OP.
2902  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We have been told: Invest only Extra money in bitcoin on: January 01, 2023, 07:33:18 PM
We have been told many times to invest only funds which you can afford to lose in bitcoins. But the question is that most of us do not have that extra funds to invest. So, what we do is we buy bitcoins from our savings, and from whatever money we get, we try to buy bitcoins. Middle class people do not have that EXTRA money WHICH THEY CAN"T AFFORD TO LOSE.

Yes, i invest in bitcoins but it is not EXTRA money and I am afraid I can't afford to lose. Do you have that EXTRA money that you can afford to lose  Huh

The sayings are not wrong you know because onset as a reasonable investor, you will have that knowledge of investing what you can afford to loose at any point in time because of so many reasons which you must know. As a smart business man or woman who you are, if you do not have extra funds which you can afford to loose, just as you have said and you feel like still investing, make sure to take your profit and do well to have a benchmark for that so that you do not go below or above standard but however, when investing you should know that you the market is volatile and you should know more about market volatility to be in the right track as to when to invest and when to collect profit to be on the safe side.
2903  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My First Bitcoin on the New Year Day 2023. on: January 01, 2023, 04:54:14 PM
My dream of having a wallet and hodling bitcoin BTC in the wallet has just started. My Mentor told me that I should top up the wallet whenever I have funds, so today, I used the money people gave me on the Christmas day and this morning being the new day to buy bitcoin to hodle. Because if I kept that money in my hand I would still spend it for food or clothes. Instead I decided to start the investment. I bought it from Binance which the popular exchange platform for p2p in my country.
Quote
[Binance] P2P Order (last 4 digit: 9520) has been completed. The seller has released 0.00031254 BTC to your P2P wallet.

I really like the forum for the  love showing to me and for the straight and nice answers. Love you GUYS.

HAPPY NEW YEAR HODLING

Congratulations on your first bitcoin purchase on the first day of January and a happy new year to you. I believe it must have been a tough decision for you to make forgoing your possible satisfaction from your pleasure or having fun this festive season. It is a good decision you have made to have purchased bitcoin to hodle for the time being until you deemed it fit collecting profit. Looking at the market trend, you would see it is bearish which should tell you that it is time you take advantage of the market buying more bitcoin as the price is currently down while waiting for bullrun. If you can, purchase more as you have said your mentor encouraged you to buy more when you have spare cash doing so will give you a edge over the market but do not forget " not your keys not your coin" so therefore do well to always transfer your assets to your private wallet in which you have custody of the private key phrase.

2905  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duckdice.io closed my account without any notification. on: December 30, 2022, 03:01:58 PM
Duckdice.io closed my account without any notice or rules violations.i deposite there much money and spent lots of my money there.i won some i lost some. but i was busy for a while and took break from gambling and when i came back i saw they closed  my account with more then $500,000 wager.i tried theire support but still no response from theire team.seems they dont have support center to sol any issue

It is so sad such an experience. This is unfortunate your account was closed without your prior notice. Most times, such act might be as a result of suspicious activity on that account or maybe an attempt to login from another up different from the regularly used one and when it is noticed, such account is assumed to be under cyber attack from hackers which resulted to immediate action. Although you did not state how long this has happened and how long you took your break from gambling on the duckdice site. Like the other commenter said, you should look for their representative here on this platform and  pm  him or her as to ascertain the issues behind your account closure. I think this might just help because this platform has a good reputation in handling such situations if only you are on the right track and free of any allegations.
2906  Economy / Gambling / Re: Black Friday fever: do you wait for extra bonuses from casinos? on: December 29, 2022, 10:54:21 AM
I myself really do not think of black Friday bonus as you know bonus is a regular thing casinos do as give away to maintain their customers or bettors and also, to attract more potential bettors to their platform. Give away is now a normal culture and activities for casinos as the competition is now high on their parts to maintain their customers so therefore the give away can be in number of spins, registration bonuses, credit your profile dashboard  etc. All these u have mentioned with others they do to gain customers attention are bonuses and give away which entice potential bettors or customers. So therefore I do not have in mind waiting for Friday extra bonus.
2907  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Advantage of accepting bitcoin in business on: December 29, 2022, 10:38:57 AM
I was encouraged by this information
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5430921.msg61479047#msg61479047

This guest house was inherited by my husband from his family,I run and manage it,it is located in a small village. After reading the information that cryptocurrency banned will soon be uplifted and legalize in Nigeria,I decided to help in fast adoption of bitcoin in my country by accepting btc payment from customers who came to lodge or entertain themselves in the guest house. I also want to use the guest house as a medium to give bitcoin awareness to customers that comes to the guest house, due to the fact that it is a place where different people from different places comes to entertain themselves in the evening.
I am very happy for this new strategy and upgrade on how to serve my customers best next year on whatever form of payment, they will be using to pay for their accommodation. Yesterday evening, while I was checking one of the rooms,my bar attendant came to me that a customer wants to see me,meeting with him,he asked if he can make payment in btc for my service and I said yes. He opened up to me that he was on an assignment in research of some plants and he has already gotten a guest house where he is lodging but he has some challenges with them since they only prefer fiat currency which has been a challenge for him to meet up to his demands due to less fiat currency on him. He told me he will be spending up to a month in the village before going back to his state,he then asked how much is per night, which I told him and immediately he made a payment for twenty days with btc into my wallet, that he will move in the next day.
I decided to come and share this experience with people in this forum about the luck bitcoin acceptance has brought to my business this festival period. The truth is that,I have never had any customer that have lodged for straight two weeks due to the environment where the hotel is located. What are your contributions on this new change and suggestion in accepting bitcoin, does it means that businesses are suffering from fiat entrapment ?

I really commend your efforts in this giant move by you to accepting bitcoin as a means of payment in your motel. If this course is taken serious as we advocate within a short time bitcoin would be adopted by many people after seeing others take the decision to accepting bitcoin. The competition in accepting bitcoin would be high which will in turn create a high demand for bitcoin. I am happy that gradually people on this platform has taken the course on themselves to doing the needful by spreading the bitcoin message within their locality and as well going further to accepting bitcoin as a means of payment for their various services and business they engage themselves in. It is a pleasure to seeing this turn to reality speedily.
You have done well  OP, your efforts in educating your customers who are willing to know about bitcoin and also those who ready to make payment would definitely yield positive results. Keep up with your good works.
2908  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your experience with bitcoin in 2022 and your expectations come 2023. on: December 29, 2022, 10:09:15 AM
I expect a bearish start to 2023 and anticipate its bull at the middle of the year but regardless I am holding hard this time. At least 2022 has thought me few lessons
Anyone can be right or wrong about the imminent prediction of bitcoin price in short time period, but if I should guess one, I think next year would be for bulls at the start. See the price of bitcoin now, very low, no bad news for now and if it continues, good news will follow. MicroStrategy sold some bitcoin yesterday and the price fall a little but as altcoins suffer most, the price of bitcoin is still low, it can not fall below $15500 that he fall to the last time which was the lowest price, the market is kind of not bullsih for now, but I think next year will be surprising when the bull run that may get bitcoin to over $30000 begins.

Your analysis can be probably correct you know. Currently the price is low as a result of sales pressure and also, the sales yesterday I do not think likely affected the market as it has been bearish for a while now but however, I Believe the bull run would be after the first quarter of next year if we are to go by the market trend. It happened earlier this year in that pattern I think it would still repeat itself in that same manner but nevertheless, things can still turn around as we all are only good at guess work analysis. Anything can happen at any given time irrespective of the current situation it find itself. Let watch and see how things unfold gradually.
2909  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the motives that drive you to gamble? on: December 28, 2022, 10:54:09 PM
I do not know about you guys, but I gamble because I like it and because it is a hobby as well as an addiction. I'm good with myself, as I already admitted to having an addiction but tried to find and apply techniques to avoid getting off track and spending all of my money on gambling. It's quite easy for me to control my gambling anxiety as I already follow strict rules that help me stay on the line.

What about you guys? Do you have any addiction to gambling? What drives you to gamble? Is it the long shot of having a big profit coming in or is gambling simply a way of spending time for you?

Gambling is quite interesting though when at the profit making side but I do gambling for fun. You can do a research on this to ascertain how addictive gambling can be to individuals as gambling is the hubby at the moment  now and can be seen going public rather than remaining secrets
2910  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Your experience with bitcoin in 2022 and your expectations come 2023. on: December 28, 2022, 03:08:56 AM
As we head towards the new year, 2022 has been a rough year for Bitcoiners with so many ups and downs in the blockchain space. Lots happened which also affected the general Crypto market as well.  Hacks, misappropriation, carelessness and recklessness with investors funds and assets which no one could comprehend. CEX rascality caused a whole lot of issues which resulted to some popular slogans such as " not your keys, not your coin" what will you say with regards to your journey and experience in 2022. Do you think there could be  a shock come 2023 in the bitcoin price and the general Crypto market at large. This shock could be positive or otherwise. Say your opinion on your expectations for bitcoin come 2023.
2911  Economy / Gambling / Re: Predict888.com - 180% Deposit Bonus🔥Upto $10,000⭐Earn 7 BTC+🔥 on: December 27, 2022, 12:19:39 PM
You are welcome onboard the bitcointalk platform. As  you can see your account is a new bie. This makes me believe some organization disguise themselves coming onboard this platform to promote their products by raising up chats to attract the attention of participants.  I see this is more of an advertisement than just to win bonus promo. With such an account, you can not be able to upload graphics for proper view because that will explain your casino and passes across information about your casino. So therefore, I would advise you register a copper member account so you could be able to upload some pictorial contents which would be more attractive to participants on this forum. And lastly, I searched to see if you already have an existing presence here but non which will give you a difficult time promoting and also gaining the attention of participants to patronize your casino because most casinos with large volume of participants are all recognized here so I would also advise that you do a signature campaign for  atleast  two months engaging a good signature campaign manager who will promote your casino campaign very well with good management skills.

2913  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has anyone ever lost bitcoins before? on: December 25, 2022, 02:39:22 PM
The experience is not funny though. Losing bitcoin as a result of wrong market and trading calculations is a kind of feelings I do not want anybody to experience. I have had friends whose wallets were hacked of btc which is not funny. These hacks took place at at December 2018 and 2019. It was a terrible experience and period for them as their whole investment we're all gone. They still can not explain how it happened if really their wallets were mirror. I enquired from them to know if really they linked their wallets online but they still can not explain. I myself out of inexperience I lost my btc while conducting transfer from one wallet to another years back when I got onboard blockchain newly couple with poor timing and wrong market calculations, I have lost bitcoin numerous times in the past and that has served as a lesson to me which I would not forget in a hurry.
2914  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia to legalize crypto for international trade on: December 24, 2022, 04:56:44 PM
I do not think this news is a new one either. Although it is a welcome development if that is the case because it is the mass adoption we are talking about. However, Russian government has been in logger head with the EU and US over Ukraine war since the beginning of this year making Russia to face sanctions from various world powers and international organizations  cutting them off ties in business, bilateral relationship etc. Maybe one of the major reason for doing that is to evade the ban on trading with them because any nation that do trade with Russia would likely face sanctions from the IS which is very detrimental so therefore it is best their identity is not known when dealing to cover their name which is a good move.  If Russia takes such step, it would be a good one for them.
2915  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoiners kill Bitcoin, and governments are happy, boycott the CEXs on: December 24, 2022, 03:40:23 PM
I think you are correct in this statement you have made. Like I always say in my previous comments, that centralised exchange are the government regulatory arm that checkmates activities on blockchain via centralised exchange and they indirectly make us do kyc which requires us revealing our identity through uploading of means of identity via identity card issued by government, drivers license, international passport etc.which means they have their raider on us.
They do this to monitor transactions and people behind the transactions and the nature of the transaction. Although the centralised exchange have their own benefit in as much as they do have disadvantages.
2916  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I found a Bitcoin restaurant in my neighborhood on: December 24, 2022, 09:10:06 AM

It's Christmas and I'm back in my hometown to spend the holidays with my family and friends. Today we decided to have lunch at a local restaurant. I was shocked to see the interior walls of the restaurant decorated with Bitcoin stickers, banners and bitcoin wallet ads. I didn't expect to find this in a small town, I was excited to show my friends how practical Bitcoin is. We placed our orders and when the bill came I asked if I could pay in bitcoin. The waiter stared at me with a blank face as if nothing I said made sense. Clearly this guys do not accept Bitcoin payment. I was furious...no disappointed...I quietly asked to see his manager, the lady came to see what the problem. I asked her why they wouldn't accept Bitcoin payments but have the walls decorated with bitcoin stickers, banners and crypto wallet  ads. She explained they have some sort of franchise deal and get paid for keeping the ads on the wall but they don't really know how Bitcoin works or how it can positively impact their business. I could sense she wanted to learn what I knew, but it wasn't the time and place for a Bitcoin lecture. Instead, I invited her for Christmas dinner and promised to teach her Bitcoin.
Merry Christmas everyone

OP I really do not get what happened. Your topic sounds interesting and catchy and you started with a good tone on good keys but the story did not go down well as it was supposed to be. From the way you started, I was expecting you have educated the manager and the attendant at that very instant so they could get a brief and little knowledge about what bitcoin is all about but is was not clear why with the ads they were not having knowledge of what they have as wall paper  having right there in their restaurant. Although it was working hours as you have stated, but atleast you should have made an attempt putting them on the know what they have as a wall decor in their restaurant is all about, then they would know what they have with them there. I believe if they had knowledge about it, they would have taken advantage of the situation and telling customers about the new development and payment option they now have so as to encourage more customers coming to patronize their services.
2917  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: TRUTH WILL ALWAYS SURFACE on: December 24, 2022, 07:40:22 AM
Well like there is a saying that says " nothing is hidden beneath the sun" I know one day the truth behind the ftx saga will be revealed and the whole wide world would be updated with what really transpired to the crash of the ftx exchange. Many investors funds were all gone just within the snap of time. When I first heard of the ftx hack, I strongly believed this was as a result of carelessness and recklessness and not really a hack. Here we are now hearing according to OP  that the ftx hack was not really a hack but a fabricated story to cover up what really happened to investors funds. I would not be surprised court would grant him bail and he extradited to the US and there he would be granted bail. At the entire end, he will be free.

This ftx saga caused the Crypto and bitcoin market really bad. We pray no further actions as a result of this causes another issue again in the near future because it is long overdue.
2918  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will not become the world currency. on: December 23, 2022, 07:10:01 PM
If you say that bitcoin would not become the world currency I have no doubt but believe me you bitcoin is the world first presumed  digital currency.  As we know currency is a generally acceptable means of exchange for goods and services which we all know that bitcoin is on the verge of being accepted or adopted as a means of payment in various countries. Bitcoin is more or less a store of value which is equitable to fiat depending on the volume of your purchase power. I know it would be difficult for many nation's to agreeing in adopting bitcoin as a means of payment but gradually, they would see the importance and benefits bitcoin holds and I believe they would adopt it but that does not mean that they would abandon their own native currency as that is their local means of legal tender.
2919  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Go-to casino on: December 23, 2022, 12:28:29 PM
Looking at casinos, I would advise you have a take on the ones present on board this platform for reputation sake. There are lots of casinos out there but you can not really tell which is really good to go. Doing your own research is advisable before making or choosing your choice as it pleases you. If you are looking at options from other peoples choices, you would be confused as to which one to take and who to follow. For easy measures in listing them for choice, have a take on their reviews in various sites they are listed. This would give you a good edge in making your choice for casinos best to be put into consideration for your choice. Also note that casinos varies with their terms and conditions. Make sure to do go through their terms and conditions before any further activities so as not to rush out with regrets of  been registered with them
2920  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How important is fiat to Bitcoin? on: December 23, 2022, 10:42:19 AM
Lately, I've seen so many bitcoin holders speak so badly of fiat and how much they wouldn't want to associate themselves with fiat usage if possible, but I took some time to make a little research and from my research, I do observed that Bitcoin usage wouldn't be an easy one without fiat not even in countries where Bitcoin is legalized and my question is,
can Bitcoin be easily used and spent without Fiat?
My answer is No

What's your opinion?
Let's discuss

Fiat is an equivalent measurement of the value of bitcoin in the sense that, fiat expresses the financial value of bitcoin. Without fiat, it would be very hard to get the exact monetary value of bitcoin when it comes to exchange. That's how the system works. Although bitcoin is a store of value which appreciate at any given time based on the market demand but it needs the fiat to quantify it's value for exchange. With fiat, you can purchase your bitcoin irrespective of the value and price tag as long as there is an amount equivalent to your Fiat purchase for bitcoin at that particular moment in time.
Although bitcoin is yet to be accepted in some parts of the world but it's value is immeasurable because it solves lots of problem such as stress, high fee charges from third parties, safety and privacy etc.
