That is the brand of the chickpeas used by the businessman behind it. Probably he discovered bitcoin online and created his own brand using its name and logo. I found another similar product, which must belong to the same business company:

Probably it's a marketing strategy to captivate bitcoin enthusiasts to becomes their customers, due to the sympathy they have for bitcoin's aesthetics.
2902  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Being Lonely drives you towards Gambling....! on: February 01, 2023, 04:40:52 PM
It's normal to be sad if we're experiencing hardships in life and feel lonely if we don't have anyone besides us but relying on the comfort of gambling will not make the situation better. We can only feel more disappointed if we will have losses because we are too emotional. There are still many ways to ease our loneliness and gambling should not be our solution.
It looks like OP is facing a hard time in his life due to his mother being hospitalized and urdergoing a surgery, so his mind needed a relief for a brief moment and gambling seemed the perfect choice on that situation he found himself. I really see no issues on that, since it could be benefical for him, however, he should just have been more careful with the amount of money he was going to risk. To risk the whole month's savings is never a viable alternative.

Maybe he should have just allocated a minor budget for gambling activity, like 10% of the savings.
2903  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Crypto lender Celsius mulls possible restructuring amid financial woes on: February 01, 2023, 03:50:36 PM
Celsius announced earlier today via Twitter that certain amount of users will be able to withdraw 94% of their assets, while court will decide about the rest 6%. Here is the list of those who should get (part) of their money out https://cases.stretto.com/public/x191/11749/PLEADINGS/1174901312380000000181.pdf. It seems like only those that had up to $7,575 and additional criteria (full list of criteria is in that link) are eligible for withdraw so I hope some of you that have money there meet those. Few people I know that have money stuck there unfortunately don't.

https://twitter.com/CelsiusNetwork/status/1620627975388696576
Additional criteria is to have the money in a "custody account', instead of an "earn account", what means these people who are going to receive their money back had their funds idle on platform, simply using it like a wallet, while the majority of users had their funds in earning mode for interest income.

The amount of money Celsius is going to pay back to custody accounts' owners is insignificant on the bigger picture.
2904  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency - Healthcare on: February 01, 2023, 02:19:50 AM
Healthcare and crypto has been always a present subject of discussions on this environment, due to its sensitive nature and precarity in most countries of the world. As crypto is seen as possible financial solution in the lives of its adopters, instantly we tend to believe it must also bring a solution to healthcare system. However, so far I don't see any practical usages blockchain could have in order to maximize the efficiency of healthcare in our countries.

I believe what could make the difference is investment from governments or private companies on technology regards this area, so new devices and kinds of treatments could be developed and introduced in our local communities. However, I fear it's not through an ICO money raise or pump and dump token scheme that we are going to see improvements on this area.

I had 3 losses in a streak with the maximum winning probability chance of 94,06% and got rekt anyway. The odds are always against the player, doesn't matter how benefical they seem at first glance. That is why we should play only with surplus money, so nasty unexpected losses won't affect our budget and emotional too much. Never gamble an amount of money you don't know how long you are going to take to recover it.

I remembered losing like almost half a BTC during the BTC crash. From a total of 15 bets on Dice via Martingale ;_;
Sorry for your loss, multiplier game is a really treacherous one. It seems everything is under control, until it suddenly isn't anymore. In my case it was 1/10 of a btc lost and I already felt a huge pain in my heart, now I can't even imagine how it feels losing half btc. In my case, it was really tempting to keep playing in an attempt to recover the loss, but I calmed down and imaged the potential outcomes could be even more destructive, totally compromising my long term goals and FUN token experiment.
2906  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best platform for virtual Communities on: January 31, 2023, 11:36:33 PM
Bitcointalk forum is the best source for news and informations regards crypto universe, because it's not solely composed by shillers of determined crypto projects and services. By being here, you aren't inside a bubble where everyone agrees with each other all the time, what could potentially put you under risk of being encouraged to dangerous investments, what is a common practice in closed centralized groups where the admin bans or censors anyone who starts talking stuff which are going against their interests.
2907  Economy / Economics / Re: How to thrive with low income in a humble area on: January 31, 2023, 10:46:18 PM
I'm curious about how things are on your side because a lot of things don't really make sense and I'm really curious how things work in your country. The first is obviously not a western one since if you say it's not unusual for people to spend 1$ cigarettes, with that you can barely buy 2 or max 4 cigarettes a day, that's well below the average smoker, for your average smoker in that area that would be more like 5-10$ a day.
I'm not a smoker, so I did an average calculation considering a cigarette pack costs about 1$, as I found prices varying from 1$-1,60$ and I know people usually smoke a pack a day (20 cigarettes).

But at the same time, you claim that online shopping is cheap, so you have the infrastructure in place to order cheaply and with free delivery, and you have as I remember from the other topics really expensive cooking oil and others, so, there is a lot of things that don't really make sense on a whole. I simply can't picture the country with cheap cigars, and chap shipping for online groceries but expensive ones on par with western prices.
It depends on the season. Sometimes a price of a determined good is expensive, but after some time its price decreases and the price of another good is raised. I guess there is some market manipulation involved on this process, although another factors are used as excuses, like pandemic, lack of rains, excessive rains, global crisis... The cooking oil (900 milliliters) now is about 1,30$, as I bought it yesterday.

Prices also depend on the brands, of course. There are prices and products for every pocket's sizes.

But I have to say the shipping system is getting better each new year. Delivery is getting faster and costs remain acceptable, as the state's courier/post office's service lost protagonism and private companies and individuals are taking its place (example of delivery fee: a bit less than 1$, just now for a smartphone purchase).

Ps.
Those are not advices on how to "thrive", more like to survive.
Actually, if you are able to save money and invest in a weekly or monthly basis, you are thriving. In slow steps, but thriving anyway...
2908  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Shiba inu get to $1 on: January 31, 2023, 08:01:58 PM
~
It's a kind of centralization crypto investors used to avoid on the early years of this industry, but now they are blind for SHIB, maybe due to the incessantly advertisements and talks about it on social medias, especially Twitter and Telegram groups.
Majority of the alts falls under this category, developers and their promoters will be holding majority of the coins created out of thin air and they will rally as long as they are keeping their advertisement in social media active, literally selling snake oil disguised as a cryptocurrency  Cheesy. These sort of topics would pop for Dogecoin in the past and now for Shiba is just laughable.
True, and there are people who still don't understand why Bitcoin is the king of crypto universe and none altcoins have enough potential to overcome it. The fact developers hold the largest portion of their creations, make Bitcoin even more unique and valuable. And although Satoshi is also believed to hold about 1.1 million bitcoins (I believe that is just a theory, though), something around 5% of total supply, those coins are likely to be never moved around for speculative or personal gains' purposes.
2909  Economy / Economics / Re: How to thrive with low income in a humble area on: January 31, 2023, 06:45:06 PM
Are you for real? maybe this is applicable in your locale, but in my location, It is easier and most times cheaper by some amount when you buy most items from a physical store. Some online vendors have charges plus you also have to consider delivery charges that you must include for your order unless there is a free delivery offer.

As for the recommendations, I generally agree, but whether online shopping is less expensive depends on your country (it's not in mine, plus you usually need to pay for delivery).
Just as a matter of curiosity, how much do you pay for delivery fees in your countries? If it weren't for the fees, would it still be cheaper to purchase at physical stores? Here in my country I also pay for such fees, but adding them to the goods' costs, it's still more convenient shopping online.

This post is solid, simple and on point. I love the graphics too. If I had merits to award you right now, I definitely would.
A humble place is not a place where flamboyant lifestyle would thrive. Finding yourself in such a place first reiterates your background or struggles and it would require one to be ambitious enough to be able to upscale this kind of area.
Habits do alot here. It will make one or break one. When you spend more than 10% of your income to accommodate a habit, then know that it is one that should be strictly regulated or replaced to accommodate your finance.
Avoid buying too much luxury or properties you don't really need, because if it doesn't consume energy, it will create distraction for you who has goals to achieve.
Live creatively. Learn to fix things that become faulty and turn scrap to aid efficiency.
Here's my take on how to thrive in a humble area.
Thanks, glad you liked it! It's the thought that counts! Your input is highly appreciated on this thread! Smiley
2910  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Crypto lender Celsius mulls possible restructuring amid financial woes on: January 31, 2023, 05:19:13 PM
The token would exist to repay creditors, and would represent a claim against Celcius' assets.

Celsius is currently in Chapter 7 liquidation bankruptcy, the idea is that it would change to Chapter 11 bankruptcy and would resume operations.
That is trickery from Celsius.

Creditors don't want to be paid with this token. Creditors want another plan for Chapter 7, so this company can be finally liquidated, all the assets held sold and the profit given to creditors (in bitcoin, preferentially, or dollar) proportionally to their holdings on the platform.

There isn't a reason for Celsius to resume their operations, since it was proven it's not a legit business. What happened previously would happen again futurely, if they resumed operations.

There are presumably already hedge funds, and other entities buying up claims from former customers, this token would make the pricing of the debt more transparent.
I still don't understand what is the point of having a worthless token as middleman on this negotiation, besides it being sole trickery from Celsius.

Hedge funds and other entities pay in btc, and btc is transferred to creditors. No tokens are needed on the process.
2911  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Shiba inu get to $1 on: January 31, 2023, 05:04:05 PM
I also keep hearing about this Shiba Inu. It is becoming very popular and the developers probably have deep pockets as they are sponsoring some ads. But the answer to the question is a big NO. But maybe it happens in the next 100 years or so. Don't get misled by its price of $0.00001188 because it also has an abundant supply that brings the whole market capitalization to around $7 billion. Shiba Inu is already ranked 15 as the most valuable cryptocurrency which means it is already expensive and its room for growth in the next bull run is limited.
I believe SHIB is still top 15 in crypto market, because it's under strong manipulation by whales. I've seen some news telling a SHIB whale has moved almost 30$ million of dollars in SHIB in a single transaction recently. That is almost 10% of total volume on the hands of a single investor.

It really doesn't worth to be part of an investment which concentrates so much influence power for few individuals. It's a kind of centralization crypto investors used to avoid on the early years of this industry, but now they are blind for SHIB, maybe due to the incessantly advertisements and talks about it on social medias, especially Twitter and Telegram groups.
2912  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum drop gets me worried. on: January 31, 2023, 04:33:52 PM
My worry right now is that, is it going to drop worst more than it has already and what are the chances of it pulling up within the shortest possible period?
In my opinion, besides bitcoin, ETH is the currency that is accepted by the free market with the largest adoption, it has formed almost a habit among most investors or even adoption.  There is nothing to worry about in ETH.  The current drop is in the cycle but it is short term.  I think you should stop watching the price often and reduce the stress.  What is your plan or strategy it will determine your status!
That is due to the fact ETH network is heavily used by crypto developers to launch their own tokens. It's the most popular chain for altcoins' development. It makes me believe ETH isn't going to be overcome soon by any other competitors. So far Ethereum is following Bitcoin trend, also rising in price. It has come from 6300$ on 1 January to 8000$ on the currently moment. That is almost 30% price increasement. Looks decent for me.
2913  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A day for representation of Bitcoin on: January 31, 2023, 02:31:58 AM
So what is the effect after the pageant ? is that help their country having more adoption ? because I believe that they are still struggling to make EL Salvadorian (majority) to adopt crypto/bitcoin? and still the government is pushing them to carry.
I guess this only favor us crypto lovers but the EL Salvador people still not on it.
But Yes I am one of the most happy for this action from miss universe candidate as it was broadcasted worldwide and will replay many times over and over so adtoption and advertising will increase more.
We are only going to see a major positive effect in El Salvador once bitcoin rises to a superior price level than the ones Nayib Bukele bought, thinking it was the dip. By there, we can expect a lot of criticisms from salvadorean citizens (with reason), because the president made an unprofitable investment with funds from the public vault. Citizens there are against bitcoin yet, because they haven't seen its potential on long term.

Meanwhile, bitcoin enthusiasts are doing their part, like the responsible one for the costume of the miss representing the country.
2914  Economy / Economics / How to thrive with low income in a humble area on: January 31, 2023, 01:11:37 AM
One of the biggest difficults in life is to manage growing your patrimony and income, when earning minimum wage and living in poor areas where opportunities are scarce, as is the money circulating in the local economy. Some hints that could be useful:

Get rid of addictions/habits: addictions or habits (in mild cases) are harmful not only for your health, but also for your finances. Cigarettes and alcohol are responsible for consuming a large portion of the income from individuals living on minimum wage. It's not that unsual to find people spending at least 1$ on cigarettes daily, what after 1 month will result in 30$ expenses, which could be going into bitcoin investment, for an example.

Choose carefully where you go shopping: some supermarkets are more expensive than others. Shopping on physical stores is more expensive than shopping online. Don't go for the first price you see on the labels. Search for promotions, try to adequate your demand for products to your currently financial budget in a way you don't spend all your money in the end of the month.

The impression which matters is the one you have about yourself: forget about boasting yourself to friends and suitors around. Live a realistic life and don't pretend to have a superior lifestyle in order to make people's eyes shine in front of you. There is nothing wrong in displaying some style, it's actually pretty good and satisfactory, but only when we can really afford it.

Doesn't matter how depressing is your day, never give up: everyone has their depressing days, but these days can't become a rule in someone's life. Don't feel pitty of yourself, don't blame your life and your currently conditions. Think it's just temporary and that an exit from this situation is reachable with good will, effort, hard work and a positive attitude with people around you. Sometimes opportunities come from where you least expected, so be receptive to the society in general, while being careful with potential abusers of every kinds.

Step by step you are going to improve your financial status, be patient and determined. Good luck!

2915  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP future looks shaky and uncertain on: January 30, 2023, 11:06:14 PM
XRP has too big supply (100 billion), core team as main whales holders and weak public support from crypto community. I think adding all those factors we can't expect too much from XRP. About support from enthusiasts, I think it stays behind the memecoin SHIB, which also carriers the other disadvantages like huge supply and few whales (probably also from the development team), although it's undeniable SHIB has a strong presence and support on crypto community among average investors, what means marketing works at their favour, even though it's an empty marketing.
2916  Economy / Economics / Re: CBDCs Cannot Save Weak Currencies on: January 30, 2023, 10:21:28 PM
It's certain CBDCs aren't a solution for any countries' economies, because they are a digital copy of fiat currencies. If fiat didn't solve anything, why its digital format would? Crypto adopters are investing in bitcoin and its pairs mainly due to their profitability, but also because they don't trust what their governments promote and manage in financial terms. Since CBDCs are issued by governments, people will tend to see it in a negative way, just like they see their currently fiat national currencies.
2917  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Doxxed team can help a new gambling platform? on: January 30, 2023, 09:55:55 PM
I guess regulated casinos (which require KYC from users) aren't anonymous. You have to investigate their licenses, so you will find more informations of where their headquarters is located, who is the responsible individual for the business, etc... Staff team doesn't expose themselves on their casino's website and social medias, but with some further research I believe it's possible to find the details you are looking for, because they shouldn't be completely hidden too.
2918  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Life Insurance on: January 30, 2023, 09:40:28 PM
Centralized services can't guarantee your heirs will receive your coins after your death. Imagine they simply scam your coins at some point, giving any excuse like they were hacked or operational costs of their platforms have surpassed the profit they make?

The problem with crypto services is the lack of guarantees for customers. This is a present and recurrent issue, having become more evident last year with so many huge and cynical scandals/thefts.

It's quite ironical crypto companies can provide insurance services, when they can't insure their customers at first point.
2919  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you consider spreading FUD to be unethical? on: January 30, 2023, 05:50:08 PM
FUD is perfectly ethical to spread.

Fake news is not.

An example of FUD.

Greenland is melting far faster than expected if it were to melt out in 15 years 10 percent of the worlds land with be under the sea.

Perfectly okay to state above as it fits in with uncertainty and is a true possibility to happen.

So it may not happen which means it is uncertain.

No human unless they can time travel knows if Greenland melts out in under 15 years.
No “.           “.       “.    “.    “.     “.      “.      if Greenland stays fairly frozen for the next 15 years.

So spreading that is fine as it is a true uncertainty.

For instance I may sell my Miami home and buy a cabin in the mountains along with some more btc because I guess the melt out happens.

Lying is different. You are a well known person on social media you say a lie cause you hope to raise or lower the prices of a coin or a stock.

Lets say This which is a lie “SBF cut a deal with Mr V of ETH”

you know it is a lie but you said it hoping to short ETH.

This is truly wrong to do.
As long as you spread an information because you believe that could be true I believe it's ok, because you are acting genuinely, being transparent and having good intentions. That is actually a way to introduce the discussion to more people, so they can reach a conclusion if that really corresponds to the reality or not.

On the other hand, people who have more knowledge about the matter in a level of depth they know the informations aren't real, but keep spreading it maliciously for the pure pleasure of deceiving individuals or for personal gains, are acting in a very unethical way. That is actually a big issue on the internet nowadays. We don't know in what to believe anymore, because there are many fakes or unlikely to be real stories being heavily disseminated.
