2901  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: bitcoin bubble = alt bubble soon after? give us your thoughts on: November 05, 2016, 02:20:26 PM
so at some point in the next months or years there's likely to be another genuine bitcoin bubble. i don't mean anything that's happened since 2013. there've been rallies but no bubbles. and bubbles ain't really a good thing but it's as natural to humans as needing to eat.

i disagree with all of this.
a bubble is a fake price rise which is huge too and it will only benefit a few not everyone.
besides i doubt that it can happen again with bitcoin aparat from a small 50 to 100 dollar max bubble.

Quote
in this scenario what happens to alts? we all know what happened to them in 2013. even total junk like novacoin went to the moon. this year so far there've been absolutely insane bubbles while bitcoin's done squat.

would a bitcoin pump push alts a long way up or would it become clear that bitcoin's ascending to the next level and most alts can't push up much further? is there alt fatigue? would there be bitcoin gains to be made if bitcoin itself was that much more valuable? that's the only reason i've ever dabbled in alts.

what does everyone reckon?

your assumption about bitcoin and having pump is wrong.

but this is true about altcoins that they will always have pumps and that will always remain irrelevant to bitcoin and how it moves.
2902  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This seems massive but no one cares? on: November 05, 2016, 02:15:18 PM
there are only two reasons whenever people don't care about a news that you think is huge.

1) the news is only huge in your mind. which means nobody will ever care and price never moves.

2) the news is huge but investors are not yet accumulated enough so they are keeping it under wraps for now to buy more. for thins you have to take a look at the volumes to see if there is anything going on or not Smiley

I have been saying for weeks there is suppression going on. I just can't understand the mentality to sell even if the smallest rally starts BUT I can understand someone dumping to themselves
to monkey hammer the price. I do believe this is happening now but I don't understand why people put up with it and end up selling cheap, If I had enough BTC I would bluff the crap out of them.

If this was highly publicised with an ICO it would be getting 1000 btc at least. I wonder sometimes if the developers are accumulating cause they say they aren't interested in marketing but you got to wonder who benefits the most from that attitude?

it is most of the time about creating panic and then create hype. the panic phase is when the whales want to buy more coins/shares/,,, and the hype part is when they had enough and now are ready to move on with the selling.

meanwhile both newbies and other traders will dump on panic and buy on hype because of "fear of missing out"
2903  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SolarCity + Bitcoin mining on: November 05, 2016, 02:09:36 PM
if this happens i believe that it can once and for all shut those who say bitcoin is using a lot of power up.

using solar energy for generating electricity is the cleanest way and also the cheapest way, it may need a higher investment in the start but this can also cut so much of the expenses from mining farms and make mining more profitable for them.
2904  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best source of bitcoin nowadays? on: November 05, 2016, 02:02:45 PM
Guys I know that there are previous posts and polls regarding the highly suggested source of bitcoin but things always change do I want to know what is the current best source of bitcoin nowadays. Please participate on this poll and kindly tell us why that's your choice. Thanks in advance and God bless us more Wink

the best way of earning bitcoin online is as it has always been: using your own skills to do a job and get paid in bitcoin. now if you lack skills, the best thing for you is to do signature campaigns and get paid.

also one of the popular ways these days is trading. which is hard but it can potentially become profitable in future.
2905  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how much amount of bet you prefer? on: November 04, 2016, 02:00:45 PM
how much amount of bet you prefer?

i obviously prefer to make as big a bet as possible so i prefer to make bigger bets. but since i love my money so much and i don't want to lose any of it, i always make smaller bets that i can afford to lose.

although i have to mention that it also depends on the type of game that i am playing too. for example in dice i always bet very small amounts.
2906  Economy / Speculation / Re: When do we cross the 1000 USD barrier? on: November 04, 2016, 01:54:50 PM
as i suspected bitcoin price is not ready for $1000 yet. and it is not ready to go down either as we can see a good resistance is forming up to keep bitcoin price in $700+ range.

so to answer your question, although bitcoin is always unpredictable but you have to think at least mid 2017 for any price around $1000
2907  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's happening to bitcoin ? on: November 04, 2016, 01:49:54 PM
Before Cloud mining sites last long but now they are quickly turn into scam. This began After Halving how sad.
Is there no legimate investment site this days ?  Undecided  Undecided
in actual it is not happening after halving , this type of cloudmining site scam is after ran of site hashocean .
and i think about 50-60% people were Making earning from hashocean .
well at the current time no one site is trusted so i will suggest you not to invest .
further if you want invest then you can try casino investment like moneypot .

everyone makes something by investing in these cloudmining (scam) sites so it is 100% but what you make is never even close to what you invest in.

for example you invest X BTC in one of these sites and they start paying you X/10000 BTC each week and with a quick calculation you can see that with all the fees they take out of it, it will take you a very long time to reach ROI now here is the twist: thy stop paying after a couple of months which means nobody has gotten their whole money back and the first investor loses the least and the last loses the most but everybody loses.

2909  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin just broke All Time BTC Low --> RIP on: November 04, 2016, 01:38:09 PM
what OP is intentionally avoids to say is that all the altcoins has gone down in the last week ever since bitcoin started going up without an exception.

here are some stats for the lazy:
- litecoin has gone down 5%
- Eth while being the highest manipulated coin has gone down 13%
- XMR had a 25.5% drop
- XRP came back up but had a 13% drop
- ... the list goes on and on with litecoin being the smallest drop of all!
2910  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing strategy: "The Best Shitcoin Admits It's a Shitcoin" on: November 04, 2016, 01:27:21 PM
Simple concept. Buy into the coins that don't try to hide the fact they are useless pieces of shit. I'm talking coins like Memetic and Trumpcoin. I always seem to do better investing in the shitcoins open about being shitcoins than the ones who claim to change the world. Thoughts?

who in his right mind is going to buy something that the owners are announcing is shitcoin?!!!

you should know and accept that almost all of the altcoins that we can see today are shitcoins and the only reason that most of them are even alive with smallest volume is that they have not yet admitted their project to be shit!

they are releasing some stuff like a new wallet version, a roadmap, ... to fool people into buying it. if they admit people are going to dump and run.
2911  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Notepad++ Accepts Bitcoin Donations; Message to Other Apps? on: November 04, 2016, 01:22:15 PM
The address they list has been used since 2013, maybe they've accepted it for a long time but didn't really publicise it? Or maybe they're reusing an address... Either way, good of them for accepting Bitcoin and even better that they have a few Bitcoins already Smiley
Nice find actually looking at https://blockchain.info/address/1BSA5fck9enPnKxPZ413BfHtm8gAKxtdq4?offset=300&filter=0
They are getting lots of small bitcoins back in 2013 also so may be they were using bitcoin to receive donations by that time?

All bitcoin (4BTC+) seems sitting unused in the address, looks like they are planning to reward or pay developers via bitcoin.

not only that but also their team have been giving their prizes in form of bitcoin also and this was for back in 2014 that they had some competition . all of this only proves that cointelegraph is an unreliable source for anything bitcoin related Cheesy
2912  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NEver keep all your coins on an exchange on: November 02, 2016, 01:09:57 PM
I was used to let some money at few exchanges by using their wallets as online wallets for long time. I still had large amount in my own possession having them locked into my desktop wallet. These recent events put me to transfer everything what I was letting on exchanges to wallet. I don't compromise over safety anymore as no one can care of my money better than me.

There is many stories out that and it is just that many people choose not to listen to these stories. I have experienced a few of these and it is really a very painful experience so now i keep all my btc in my wallet.

I lose half of my btc when mtgox got hacked. I lose all my dogecoin when crypsty got hacked. And there is one other site that i lose 2/3 of my btc too.

then how are you trading now?!!

the thing that people usually forget about exchanges and keeping money there is that you sometimes have to. and we never know when they are going to get hacked.

this is the risk that any trader has to take if they want to make any trade at all. for example you sometimes want to open a position and wait for it to be filled and we all know that this never happens right away so you have to leave money there and in an open order.
2913  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is the Trading and Stock Market is the same? on: November 02, 2016, 01:03:27 PM
We all know here in digital world we used altcoins for trading but do we consider that the trading is same as the stockmarket in our real world? Because we can consider that the buying of altcoins using bitcoin is like buying of shares in stock market.

there are so many similarities and that can not be denied. but the biggest difference between these two is the fact that stock market is more regulated and they can't easily pull a scam like what some of the altcoins do.

Quote
Stock market, As far as I know the stock market is based on the demand of supply in that certain product. So let's connect it to the trading Is the trading is based on the demand and supply or It is based on the Admin who created that altcoin?

all of them are based on supply and demand. who creates an altcoin makes that demand. i think you did not clearly understand what supply and demand means. i suggest reading the wikipedia page about this.

Quote
And is the trading is a passive income like stock market or no? Because in my experience in trading there are many sh*t coin who just suddenly fell to 1sats each and some are pumping so high. So Is the trading can we consider as a stock market?

a passive income is the income you get from an investment which means you give money and receive profit each month or each week.
trading can not be a passive income because you have to work for every single satoshi that you make as profit!
2914  Economy / Speculation / Re: Considering US dollar is very strong recently, breaking 700 means a lot on: November 02, 2016, 12:53:01 PM
in my opinion this only proves that bitcoin price is not really connected to how strong or weak USD is. and i have said this before when people were saying US finances is down the tube and bitcoin will rise, i always said there is no relationship there.

Well as I write this, my Mycelium wallet is showing $699.30 as a price, so my guess is that a lot of folks are taking their profit off the table.  Not a bad thing to do at all, and hopefully this rally will resume shortly.  That also means it's probably a good time to buy.  Buy the dips and such--I'm usually not a firm believer in that phrase, but I think it's valid here.

whenever there is a rise big or small, people will sell to take some profit and buy back at the bottom that is why there is always a drop after each rise without any exceptions.
2915  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: bitcoin related job on: November 02, 2016, 12:47:12 PM
go to the services board and start a new topic and offer your services that you can do. this can be translation, graphical work, signature design, photoshop, website design, coding, and so many different things, check other similar topics and you get what things you can do.

also pay a visit to reddit.com/r/jobs4bitcoin or similar subs that you can find and post there and read if there is something that you can do.
2916  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would happen if BTC was Banned? on: November 02, 2016, 12:38:46 PM
Believe it or not, OP may be right when he questions what will happen to bitcoin if it was banned. We should appreciate the fact that bitcoin has not been fully accepted worldwide. It is only a small fraction of the global population that is aware and is using bitcoin. The possibility of it being rejected globally is high. We all know that governments have the monopoly of controlling currencies, if the world governments are not going ratify the use of bitcoin, then I am afraid its use will be so limited.

what you failed to realize is that bitcoin is not centralized so nobody can tell you how you are using it. in other words if someday by any chance bitcoin was banned you can still continue using bitcoin, hold it and trade in on exchanges and also exchange it for cash face to face and nobody can stop you from doing it.
2917  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trust in altcoin and cryptocurrencies on: October 30, 2016, 03:06:43 PM
The main issue with altcoins and cryptocurrencies in general is TRUST, so how to make sense of all these altcoins popping of every day?

first define trust?
what are you looking for? do you mean as an investment or as a currency to use?
it is usually an investment so is it ICO or just a simple trading?
and remember that you are not trusting with your life it is just an investment that you make temporarily and pull out as soon as you can.

Quote
The fact that anyone can create a new currency? Isn't this the whole problem? Thank you for your expert advice

this is both the problem and a good feature.
because anybody can pick up what others have left off and improve on the already created code because of it being open source. but it is bad since they have been thinking about money only.
2918  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you trade with crypto currency? on: October 30, 2016, 02:59:05 PM
Hi there,

I've started trading a few months ago with a very small amount and it was quite effective for me. 80% of my trades are based on technical analysis and 20% on rumors, tweets, announcement, etc.

I'm curious what is the most common technique do you use for trading?

Good luck,

80% is enough because nobody can be 100% for sure if an crypto currency worth or not investing. I sometimes just check if the price is changing often and I risk to buy and sell some coins but with lower amount because I don't want to risk for example 1BTC in a coin I have not much researched.
I agree 80% is enough for making profit from bitcoins, because usualy i can make profit from trading is just 5% of capital as constantly every month. But it is enough because my bitcoins will growing up although slowly.
Someone is wanna make an over 100% of their profit and that is so greedy person in my mind, in trading I do not need a big profit I just nit a stable profit or income. that's already enough for me.  impossible for make more than 100% of the profit from the total capital ni this time.

100% would be  possible  on trading   cryptos and you would really need  much research  of information  on a certain  coin  and also  you must need luck to a particular best  moment to  buy or to sell which could make  gain of  profits 100% would be  achievable though  but as you said we should  be contented  on what would  be  the results  of our each trade as  long  its a succesful one.
Duplicating your investment is possible but you will need  to enter in markets with lots of ups and downs and the risk of losing money in such a markets is a lot greater.

Doubling investment with the bitcoin is quite difficult. You need lots of experience and capabilities to do that.

you say that as if it is easy to "double" your money in any other market. where else in the world can you find an investment that doubles your money in a short time easily.

gold? stocks? oil? forex?

none of them do it. then why do you expect such thing out of bitcoin. be realistic and see the real potential which will show up in long term.
2919  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Barry Silbert Reveals 10 Bitcoin Predictions for 2017 on: October 30, 2016, 02:53:33 PM
-snip-

it seems like whenever bitcoin is staring to rise and be more popular, everybody is also becoming a bitcoin expert and they start speculating about it.

don't get me wrong it is good to see all these positive speculation about bitcoin in public and in this size but it is just funny how they are silent when price is still low and stable Cheesy

That is certainly true. But what is bad is if they are doing the speculation or give an opinion about the growth of the bitcoin..?? . This is not a matter of how they are to be a chameleon, but it's a matter of how we best contributing when bitcoin experiencing growth is good enough. because by the time the run bitcoin it will be very easy for us to give the best contribution so that the higher your bitcoin

what i meant to say was the only thing that i find interesting about these kinds of speculation that come at these particular point in time. these People like Barry Silbert usually do speculation like this when they see bitcoin is rising and they are sure about it.

it would have mattered to me if i heard this speculation back when price was struggling to break $600 not after it has broken $700 Cheesy
2920  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is the best coin to buy on polo now? on: October 30, 2016, 02:47:50 PM
Last couple days were a good opportunity to pick up some cheap alts.
I grabbed some Lisk, Augur and Factom.
Hopefully at least one of these pans out.
(I'm looking for a long term investment, not a quick flip.)

i also think it is a good time to pick some cheap coins from altcoin markets these days but also i am a little scared that this drop is not going to stop here.

especially in some of the bigger coins. in smaller ones, sure it is possible that it was the end of it but in bigger coins, with bigger $$$ all that money is flying out back to bitcoin these days.
