2901  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant on: September 19, 2021, 12:55:22 PM
I tend to agree GGG is still prime even he's getting old, he has iron chin and can't be knocked out. I remember his fight with Steve Rolls, GGG's left jab was powerful and win KO'ed.
In his career he just draw and lost from Canelo, of course many people would still waiting their 3rd rematch. If both of them agreed to make more money from this match, it's not impossible will be happen in the future.

I don't think that the trilogy fight will ever happen. It is extremely difficult for the athletes to stay at their peak after 40, and GGG is inching closer to that level. He was ready for the fight, and wanted it scheduled at some point in 2019. It was Canelo who rejected the suggestion, after his controversial win in 2018. GGG is still a legend, but I really doubt whether he is still at the peak which he was in 2018-19. But Canelo need to take up the challenge, at least in 2022. Else it will remain as the sole negative point in his career.

I'm already convinced that Canelo will also become a legend, he is beating fighters now in his division, and he is winning in a very convincing manager. A boxer who is in his prime should face a boxer that is also in his prime for us to see a great fight, and with the opponents of Canelo now and in the past, I have not seen anyone yet who can give him a tough challenge.

He is already a legend in my opinion, he has beaten a lot of good fighters, potential HOF like Miguel Cotto and GGG and other good boxers like Kovalev, Daniel Jacobs, Lara and Kirland. But cleaning up the 160 lbs and then becoming the undisputed champion, holding all the major belts will just boost his legacy even higher.

Agree with that, and Canelo is still young, meaning he still has more fights to come that will add to his legacy. It looks like he is the most unbeatable fighter now because he is dominating in his division and anyone who likes to block his way gets easily eliminated.

And his name will be in the discussion for the best 168 lbs who ever grace the boxing gloves.
That's for sure as everyone knows the name CANELO in boxing.

2903  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Casimero Bantamweight Unification Fight on: September 19, 2021, 11:07:00 AM
I've heard that Casimero is looking for some additional trainers on his team. But he wants a younger one.

Well in fact that the old timers are better trainers because they have a lot to share because of their experiences.

He can add young trainers but his head trainer should be the one that who is with him all the time, the old trainer knows about him already, his strength and weaknesses and based on what Casimero has achieved now, I can say that they are both successful together, they have a good tandem in short.
2904  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Probability is not the reason for your loss on: September 18, 2021, 09:33:05 PM
In every game, there's always a probability, and that's what we should know, not only knowing that there is, but we should also know what is the probability of winning. We gamblers risk money to win, so just like when putting our money in an investment, we make sure we will get a good chance of getting profitable, unless your main intention why you are gambling is just to have fun, you may not pay attention too much on this kind of details.
2905  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Musk is going to hurt the Crypto Industry, sign this petition on: September 18, 2021, 08:48:20 PM
later when the price of Dogecoin returns to its highest price everyone will say Elon Musk is the one who has changed crypto for the better!! I think that will happen.
but for now the petition you make will not affect Elon Musk in doing something, he will not read your petition.
the crypto industry will continue to grow if there are still investors who don't play with market prices.

He will not get affected by the petition, he is here to play and make easy money. Well, DOGE already reaches its ATH, no doubt it makes investors profitable, but how about those who follow the hype and bought during its peak, I'm sure once the massive dump will start, they will be the first to panic and sell at a profit.
2906  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Can XRP Achieve $5? on: September 18, 2021, 08:08:15 PM
In the current cryptocurrency market, XRP is one of the most popular coins. Its popularity is increasing at a rapid rate on a daily basis. Its price is now low, but I believe it will rise in the near future. In the foreseeable future, I predict XRP will reach $5. You can invest in XRP if you wish to. If you invest in XRP, you will gain.

Actually, $5 is not the tough target to chase by xrp when the bull run is coming the xrp crack the target.
The target is possible but not this bull run. Being at 5$ means that mcap will be 250bil and that is too much for now. But with more implementation and time like 5-6years we can be at that price.
It cannot be too much for XRP because if you look at its history it hits almost $4 already.

$3.40 -68.67% Jan 7, 2018
result of google search.

can also check the graph here. https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/xrp/

It's actually due for a new ATH, if not only because of the lawsuit they are facing now, I have no doubt it has already been traded at $5 now.
2907  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 18, 2021, 07:51:05 PM
Still a rumor and there's no update regarding to this possible trades.
If ever Sixers will agree and they will let go of Simmon for Irving, both will benefit,
Kyrie, if he will adjust with his attitude, can help Sixers to climb up and have a good chance of winning either conference or world title.
Same with the Nets, Simmons can definitely help KD and Harden, Ben is a good defensive stopper focusing on that role is a good
help since both KD and Harden are healthy coming this season, they can share ball and dominate their offenses.
Both good player in terms of there role and skills. But personality is another thing. You are right about Kyrie, He is a bit self centered that's why he can't work properly with star player. Simmons will be a perfect for his position because he can definitely adjust for KD and Harden since he is a rookie compared to Kyrie. While on the other hand, Kyrie might play a very good performance with Sixers due to less competition. This will be a good trade if this really happen.

Irving has been one of my favourite players since he was in Cleveland Cavaliers. He is a very good point guard with decent scoring and very good dribbling skills, also his passing is very good. I feel like he would set very well with the Sixers. And having KD and Harden on offense and Ben Simmons on defense will be a plus point for the Nets. Hope this trade goes off and both the teams benefit both the teams.

No one would deny how skillful Irving is, but the problem is probably his attitude towards his teammates that's why the team will not succeed. I read some article in the past that Irving left the Cavaliers as he doesn't want to be the shadow of Lebron, so now, probably he also wants to be the leader of the team which is obviously is not because Durant is better than him.

I dunno, I respectfully disagree here. Kyrie has already won a championship, and of course he had Lebron there with him but it showed goes to show that he is cable of winning it all.  If he sticks with the Nets, and if they can all stay healthy for once, I think they would win the championship no question.  Just my 2

Kyrie better has a good relationship with his teammates so they can win a championship, if there's a conflict inside, it would create bad chemistry and that would not make this team play at their best. Chemistry is really important because they have a  big 3, and they can't just do their thing when in the court, they should do what the coach told them to do and one should be the leader, it's not possible that all of them will lead, just like the Cavaliers, Lebron is always the leader, Irving is his Robin.
2908  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lopez vs Kambosos - October 5 on: September 18, 2021, 11:48:30 AM
I'm going to wait for Kambosos via decision odds, I think that would be attracted than the ML.

I reckon it could be close? I'm not expecting Kambosos to have an attractive odd of 10.00 or something via a decision odds, but I might be wrong here.

I'm not that good at analyzing the odds, but I have a feeling that the odds will not be over 10.00, it should be between 7-8 and that's good since Kambasos is not really a KO artist, and if he wins here, it would also be hard for him to KO Lopez as he is too smart to beat. How about the odds for a draw?

Thanks for the advice! Im at school currently, so I cant ask him right this minute, but I will do it as soon as possible, I am also going to start withdrawing all of my balance on Stake to my ether wallet when I get home. Im going to do my best to quit gambling for good.

You will grow up to be a responsible person because you can differentiate right and wrong on gambling, and you know how to take advice and listen to people I hope you find the right hobby for you, gambling is not a hobby for 14 years old like you, you are still a kid think and act like a kid, there are a lot of good games on the internet be a gamer, not a gambler.

He is still a minor, and in order for him to successfully create an account and gamble, he has to lie about his age as most gambling sites nowadays will ask if you are over 18 years already before you can proceed as that is a basic requirement.

At 14 years old to be this open, I think OP is smart, and he sees that there's a problem because it will become serious.
2910  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 95% of cryptocurrencies are fraudulent on: September 17, 2021, 01:44:49 PM
almost average new projects have the same concept so they can't compete in the market and many of them end up being scams, maybe that's what makes some people say if crypto is 95% scam, actually if they want to do more research they will avoid it. scammers
Most of those new projects capitalized on the fact that cryptocurrencies market is not regulated, thus any Tom, Dick and Harry can just create a shit coin and launch it into market, after collecting investors hard earn funds they abandoned the project and disappeared into thin air consequently the project will hence become a scam, I really agreed with OP that 95% are scams, thus any potential investor has to be extra careful to avoid falling onto a wrong hand that is why it is advisable to DYOR,
in fact, years ago, many team developed projects whose purpose was to raise funds, and looking at the results today, almost all of these coins have disappeared, or become trash coins today. however, only bitcoin really survives, even thrives to this day. I also quite agree with the statement that people need to include bitcoin in their portfolio more than altcoins.
I will never forget the coins I bought in the past that are already worthless now, though I lose a lot of money I already accepted my losses and just learn from it. Per my experience and based on what I read, it's really recommended to ensure that bitcoin owns the biggest percentage of your portfolio.
2911  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 17, 2021, 12:56:32 PM
We know that he is an all-star but his attitudes?? We don't need attitudes like that in the league (at least for me).

It's done by voting, once you have good stats and you entered into voting, you might probably be chosen to be in the all-star game, this is what happen with Irving. Also, we can't blame people voting for him as the majority of the fans do not know news about the player's attitude or anything related to that which is not a big deal for most of us.

If the player plays well, he gets fans, that's how it works.
2912  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 16, 2021, 09:55:32 PM
Although Kyrie belongs to all stars of the NBA, it will harm his reputation if he gets traded from time to time, it only leaves one indication for those who understand, and that means he has an attitude problem that's why he would not fit in any team that values chemistry more than individual talents.

Good luck with his future, he is still young, he will get traded more unless he retires early, which is a bad idea as that's throwing money.
2913  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TALK token good investment ? on: September 16, 2021, 09:32:26 PM
It's listed in Yobit, that's a high risk coin considering that it's not even listed in CMC yet and the volume according to the yobit exchange is 0. Probably this is just a pump and dump coin, better trade with caution and consider what you are doing is pure gambling, just get out at the right time if you like to play the game right.

They have now Westbrook as their facilitator and if LBJ averages 20-25 PPG, he can surpass the current record in 1-2 seasons. This includes also playoffs and if he will get injured. I would love to see that event happen though that Kareem himself will cheer on LBJ when he surpasses the record Smiley.

That's achievable for Lebron James in 2 seasons, I also made a computation on my own, 72 games in the regular season, plus playoffs since the Lakers will certainly enter in the playoffs without a problem.

He just to ensure he is healthy, so he can score every game and he will be able to make a history being the number 1 in scoring in 2 to 3 seasons.

Lebron still looks young, though already at 36 years old, he is still very dominant, so nothing is impossible because he is a special player.
2916  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Uk most deprived areas have the Highest number of gambling outlets. on: September 13, 2021, 09:33:24 PM
Operators do find a way to make their business profitable, and if they find it profitable running a business in such areas, they would pursue it.

However, if the government sees it's concerning, they should not grant a license in the first place.

I think it's the job of the government here to evaluate an application before approving it, and they always look at the effect of the community, but if money works and corruption is happening, there's no sense of explaining to them as they will not see the potential risk of running a casino in deprived areas where people might easily get addicted to gambling.
2917  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Jonas Sultan vs Carlos Caraballo - October 30, 2021 on: September 13, 2021, 08:42:19 PM

If that's what promoters would only do, then boxing would be boring. I believe MP promotion is always up for a challenge and they know this fight will gain the attention ot the fans, so they are making it happen, for Sultan to beat an undefeated fighter with an impressive KO record, he needs to train harder as this could be his toughest fight.

Stats wise, Sultan needs to have harder preparations knowing Caraballo's records. Something that he needs to work out and make sure to find the ways countering this monster.

But MP camps may see different things as they call this fight, it's a good opportunity for Sultan to gained the attention inside this sport. If he does win this fight, other promoters will aim for him.

He needs to showcase everything to break the records of Caraballo, else, it will turn to the other side and the fame will be added to Caraballo.

That's the risk in boxing, it's either you go down or go up, it's a competition where the better fight will go up and will become popular in the future. If MP called this fight, they did a great job because for their fighter to fight an undefeated fighter with a scary record, this could result in a loss for Sultan, but maybe they saw something that Sultan could use as an advantage over Caraballo.
2918  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anderson Silva vs Tito Ortiz on September 11 on: September 13, 2021, 08:15:48 PM
I was so surprised by the result of this fight with Anderson Silva winning at first round in 1 minute and 21 seconds. Now I understand what he did. Days before the fight he said to the media he would dodge and resist maximum as possible along the rounds and that is exactly what Tito Ortiz thought it was going to happen, so he went full attack mode since the beginning. Probably in his mind he imagined he could control the fight's rhythm this way.

However, what he didn't know is that Silva was bluffing and when Ortiz least expected, the game turned 180º. He was surprised by a sudden change in his opponent's strategy that knocked him out instantly without giving him any recovery chance. Maybe if he were more strategical and didn't rush like that the fight would have lasted longer.

Anderson Silva did what he said, he was being attacked by Ortiz aggressively and he was just counter-punching, unfortunately, Ortiz's boxing skills was way inferior to Silva and he got caught up with a solid punch. Maybe it's just a mind game and Silva being a warrior knows what he is doing, and Tito Ortiz just takes the bait, I wonder if he will challenge Silva for a rematch.
2919  Other / Off-topic / Re: Corruption and Sports on: September 13, 2021, 01:32:07 PM
With due respect, political manifestos usually have many promises, lots of wishful thinking and plenty of stuff that politicians hope that people forget when it comes to putting it in practice. Still, it is interesting that there is an specific point on corruption in sports and I would not be inclined to think that they are pointing to betting, but rather to a more general objective of reducing money laundering and bad practice in general. Governments rarely care about honesty in betting other than basic regulations.

Corrupt politicians usually do that and they will create a lot of problems if there are more corrupt politicians running the country than the good ones, especially if most of them are holding a higher position in the government.

Corruption in the sport does not usually involve politicians, in the theory of game-fixing that I read, mostly involve people are those who are running the league as they are in control of everything when someone has a league, he creates the rules and he influences the implementation of the rules.
2920  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Not all altcoins will recover on: September 13, 2021, 11:34:04 AM
That's normal that's why there's what we called risk.

Actually, only a few of the many altcoins are legit, the majority are scams, so that would justify the statement that not all altcoins will recover.
When you are investing, though you see a project to be legit and has good potential, it's still not advisable to just focus all your investment on a certain coin or few coins, always look at the possible worst-case scenario, so make a strategy that would minimize the risk.
