2901  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How many Alts do you expect to survive long term? on: October 04, 2016, 10:30:47 AM
Why a lot of people is feeling doubt for the lite coin, but in my knowledge the age of lite coin is more long comparing with the another like xmr and eth but correct me if i'm wrong, but many coin is listed in the polo i sure if that is will be a long term coin... but i really loved with eth in this time .

2903  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Fund Management Platform ❘|❘ ICO CLOSED on: October 03, 2016, 02:19:28 PM
so what is now the final price of one iconomi? how much it is worth? also does the first who bought have an edge over the last one?

I read a few pages back, they said its about 19k-21ksat though im no sure, because i invested when the bonus was still on

Will be 0.002 when we hit on poloniex, we need more patience, and get rid of bounty cheaters first.

200k satoshi is very high of a price, i doubt you can see that unless you are talking about a very low volume with some random peak lol

200k is only 1000%, and this Mark can be reach. But i think this will take a little time

lol 1000% is not a joke, it's 10x the current ico price, you need a serious wave of money to do this, unless there are big whales here it will not happen
Keep shut up and watching.... at the first time FCT is like an iconomi in their rate and just for a few weeks the price increasing more than 1000%... Are you paranormal??
2904  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What is fair payment for a thread translation? on: October 03, 2016, 02:11:17 PM
I counted words in your Announcement thread, it contains precisely 4543 words; 27396 characters of technical text.

I searched for professional translation services. Here are their payment rates:

Standard  Content                   Technical Content
Spanish     10 cents per word   16 cents per word
German     12 cents per word   18 cents per word
French       10 cents per word   18 cents per word
Chinese     11 cents per word   15 cents per word
Japanese   14 cents per word   20 cents per word
Korean      14 cents per word   20 cents per word
Italian      10 cents per word   18 cents per word
Dutch       14 cents per word   20 cents per word
Portuguese    10 cents per word   16 cents per word

Source: https://www.strakertranslations.com/translation-rates-per-word/

So I guess if you want totally professional translation you will pay quite a bit. I think that you will find someone who can do it cheaper tho.

To be honest that is very irrational for the people is just using a translator for translating the content.... So the amount are need for considering your translation participant....  Better participant and better rate or amount for that... It is will matching just like an achievement for your participant.

2906  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin is the new era of currency? on: September 28, 2016, 02:55:29 PM
Yes, new era must be the internet and computer era, right? We can pay in bitcoin when we buy things on website, transfer money easier and faster and so forth. Bitcoin payment has so many advantages, therefore we can call it new era money.
All of your example is already mentioned is be an evidence for us if this is not a new era of the currency but this about the digitalization of the  real systematic. people just try for inputting the real things into the technology and called a digital er

2908  Other / Off-topic / Re: Who is the Founder of Bitcoin?! on: September 28, 2016, 02:49:53 PM
i never think if bitcoin is has a founder, but more likely for call that is has a developer. because is not creating by the individual person and in my mind bitcoin is made by the team, that's so amazing if bitcoin is having a founder like he is creating by the individual. bitcoin is not have a founder but that is just have a developer but till this time i never know about the developer of bitcoin, that's so really vague.
2909  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Would you buy a hardware wallet? on: September 28, 2016, 04:23:22 AM
Buying a hardware wallet can be good but I think that I would not use it a lot because I have some other wallets.
I also use online wallet so that is why..

I think that its also not worth it because its not very easily with payments, online wallets are better for payments.
On the other hand hardware wallets can be nice for large amounts maybe.
And so ever you try an hardware wallet before? That is just for the people is want for get a high security for their money.
2910  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Many Millions of People Use Bitcoin? on: September 28, 2016, 04:18:32 AM
I don't there is a valid data can bring us into the bright answer about the population is a real bitcoiners, because considering a lot of factor just like a few address is just own by someone, and another factor is can determine if there is no a valid reason for saying about the population of bitcoiners and so for the speculation just making a surveys with sample but that is also can't be a valid researching too.
2911  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lightning Network Could Scale Bitcoin on: September 24, 2016, 03:49:16 AM
in simplistic terms
LN is just X parties creating a multisig by handing each other a public key (not private)
this public key creates a multisig address

they double check they are both using the same address after joining the public keys together. and then both side put in some funds.
funding the address is done onchain. but the funds are locks for xxxx blocks.
lets say they both put in 0.1btc each
which would be on the blockchain 2 transactions
Code:
personAbitcoinaddress 0.1btc ->  LNMultisigbitcoinaddress 0.1btc
signed A

Code:
personBbitcoinaddress 0.1btc ->  LNMultisigbitcoinaddress 0.1btc
signed B
now that they both have something to lose they are more willing to be honest with each other.

offchain they create a private transaction to spend the 0.2btc total by giving person A 0.1 and person B 0.1 and both sign it
Code:
LNMultisigbitcoinaddress 0.1btc -> personAbitcoinaddress 0.1btc
LNMultisigbitcoinaddress 0.1btc -> personBbitcoinaddress 0.1btc
signed personA
signed personB
this is the defacto 'refund' transaction.

then later, still privately if person A buys something. they agree that person B gets more..
by giving person A 0.099 and person B 0.101 and both sign it
Code:
LNMultisigbitcoinaddress 0.1btc -> personAbitcoinaddress 0.099btc
LNMultisigbitcoinaddress 0.1btc -> personBbitcoinaddress 0.101btc
signed personA
signed personB
obviously person B wants the extra 0.001 each purchase so he is happy to sign. and person A wont receive the goods until he signs so he is happy to sign

later person A buys something else

by giving person A 0.098 and person B 0.102 and both sign it
Code:
LNMultisigbitcoinaddress 0.1btc -> personAbitcoinaddress 0.098btc
LNMultisigbitcoinaddress 0.1btc -> personBbitcoinaddress 0.102btc
signed personA
signed personB

the first transaction can be happily forgotten as they now have a new active transaction they are happy with

later person A buys something else
by giving person A 0.097 and person B 0.103 and both sign it
Code:
LNMultisigbitcoinaddress 0.1btc -> personAbitcoinaddress 0.097btc
LNMultisigbitcoinaddress 0.1btc -> personBbitcoinaddress 0.103btc
signed personA
signed personB

and so on and so on for over lets say 90 trades.
...person A buys something else
by giving person A 0.007 and person B 0.193 and both sign it
Code:
LNMultisigbitcoinaddress 0.1btc -> personAbitcoinaddress 0.007btc
LNMultisigbitcoinaddress 0.1btc -> personBbitcoinaddress 0.193btc
signed personA
signed personB

as long as both people are online. signing it is near instant and these transactions are only stored on in the mempool of the individuals involved

after a while they decide its time to settle up. so close the link between each other and broadcast the most uptodate transaction onto the bitcoin network:
Code:
LNMultisigbitcoinaddress 0.1btc -> personAbitcoinaddress 0.007btc
LNMultisigbitcoinaddress 0.1btc -> personBbitcoinaddress 0.193btc
signed personA
signed personB

and even though there have been 93 trades between A and B. all the bitcoin blockchain sees 3 transactions (2 to setup 1 to settle)
Code:
personAbitcoinaddress 0.1btc ->  LNMultisigbitcoinaddress 0.1btc
signed A

Code:
personBbitcoinaddress 0.1btc ->  LNMultisigbitcoinaddress 0.1btc
signed B

Code:
LNMultisigbitcoinaddress 0.1btc -> personAbitcoinaddress 0.007btc
LNMultisigbitcoinaddress 0.1btc -> personBbitcoinaddress 0.193btc
signed personA
signed personB

hope this has helped people visualise the simplicity of the concept.

LN uses buzzwords like bi-directional. but because its not using a long chain of transactions that are linked to previous transactions. its more like having a pool of funds and negotiating who deserves what.
meaning person A could prove goods are not delivered and they both sign that A gets a little more and B gets a little less

however there are still a few issues that need sorting.
the private communications channel(ensure they dont lose touch or other issues)
locking initial funds in
3rd party(hubs) to mitigate disputes
parameters to settle
preventing double spends(person A sending defacto refund to get 0.1 back even after buying 93 products)
I just understanding it more onto the escrow network... because the two person a and b is putting their money into the same place (X) and then after the amount of A and B is already holding by the network (X). this is just like an escrow system?correct me if i'm wrong.
2912  Other / Off-topic / Re: What value does Bitcoin bring to you? on: September 23, 2016, 12:07:44 AM

2915  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best Offline Wallet For Storing Bitcoins? on: September 22, 2016, 06:08:13 AM
I have taken all the advise on board and here's my plan...

Create 10x Bitcoin address's on an offline computer using downloaded version of bitaddress.org. Create 10x Bitcoin address's with Electrum on offline computer. Put all 20x keys in KeePass using encryption and 30 character password. Then encrypt KeePass file with TrueCrypt and different 30 character password. Copy to file to several USB sticks, and bury the USB sticks in waterproof boxes in family members gardens.

Can then pay a little into each wallets for the next 20 years and there's a pension plan  Grin
Lol, but that's so complicated... you will having a lot of address... okay but i'm glad for heard you already getting your answer and why you're not trying or making it be more simple than like your explanation is like an essay..? let's trying your method and i also waiting about your result... maybe i can trying your method...
2916  Other / Off-topic / Re: waiting for a confirmation: what are you doing? on: September 20, 2016, 12:53:09 AM
There are a many daily activities in my lives and maybe i will not mentioning it in here, about the confirmation is just sleeping my desktop and doing my daily activities and i don't need for checking my confirmation because that is will finish for automatically and i don't need for filling my mind just into the confirmation story.
2917  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think bankers will destroy block chain tech, decentralization, bitcoin? on: September 20, 2016, 12:50:00 AM
Absolutely not.

There is a lot of talk about the banks destroying bitcoin, yet no one has even shown me a method for doing this. Until someone can show how this could be done, I don't think it will be done.

1. How are you going to stop the bankers trying to dictator crypto? - I don't have to. There is no way to do it.

2. Are you fully aware of things that are going on? - Um.  you mean in the bitcoin world? Sure, more than most I suppose.

3. What measures are you taking now? - I only use BTC online and dumped my credit cards. The banks are only powerful because you keep giving them your money. I do not do that.
Aagree with you, there is no way to fo it, we are just a civilians and there is no way for taking any act till just avoiding their service just preventing the bank with a little effort.

Bank just focussing their viewpoint in bitcoin and just harness the blockchain for threatening bitcoin

2918  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you vote for a possible president that support Bitcoin? on: September 19, 2016, 01:48:35 AM
But i doubt about that if that is just more in their campaign, but different in the real because too many a lot of candidate is always throwing the sweety statement in to the community. but just giving a vote into the president is giving appreciate into bitcoin and community and not making a strict regulate for their civilians about using bitcoin/ and that is will useless just giving the vote into the president is supporting bitcoin but in real their are making a strict regulating about using bitcoin for their civilians. we are need candidates is are not just throwing a bullshit statement.
2919  Other / Off-topic / Re: how many people do you think knows about bitcoin in your community? on: September 19, 2016, 01:44:09 AM
This is just my speculating, i think it's not too many people is know about bitcoin in my community because bitcoin is very unfamiliar in my community, and especially about the cryptocurrency. for some people is never know about the bitcoin in this time. and that's why maybe just i and my brother is know about bitcoin in my community.
2920  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your opinion on the future of "digital money" (cryptocurrencies)? on: September 17, 2016, 08:19:17 AM
I think that this is my first self-moderated thread since I'm on the forum, but there is a reason for that. Pointless comments will be deleted.

My personal opinion is that Bitcoin (or any cryptocurrency in existence for that matter (well, Ripple could be an "honorable exception")) is not going to be widely accepted as money.
I agree, with this and in my opinions bitcoin will never be a universal currency.

Not because it's bad or good, but because it can't be controlled, at least not in the way the governments would want to.
And that's like bitcoin is more be a natural currency and no one can be controlled him and alhought bitcoin is made by human.
Bitcoin is hard to explain to the average Joe and personally I gave up on doing it to my real friends, because probably 95% of them are seeing it as a speculation/bubble.
They're just familiar about bitcoin like the trading forex.
But do you know what? That doesn't really matter. I believe that Bitcoin (and some altcoins) would find their market niche and for that they'll only need to be accepted by some part of the masses.
The bitcoin is already finding their niche and in this time they are just waiting for the development of bitcoin
It's hard to say how many people are really using cryptocurrencies, but I think it's safe to say that they are under 1 million (which is like 0.0128% of world's population). 10-30x increase in the user base would make a huge difference. Bitcoin is currently the king, but definitely it's not going to be the only one.
too difficult for calculating about the users of cryptocurrencies and especially if someone is already having more than 1 wallet for storing the cryptocurrency and there are a various cryptocurrency and that's why we can't put the clear factor
