2901  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Your successes over the past 5 years on: January 25, 2023, 10:23:31 PM
But when I look at my portfolio, I'm happy to look at it every time even if the market isn't that good at all,

I think it is the same story and we share the same measure of scam to it. Investing in Ponzi scheme is a scam already because it will eventually fail. Also back in the past ICO was all over the place and investing on it then seem like it was a sure way to financial independence but it never happened, it all ended in scam. This is the story so far but there is still light at the end because some investment still give you hope for increase soon during the bitcoin bull.
Yeah, and it's not a scam like those that we've seen and those pump-and-dump altcoins that we probably managed to have in our portfolios. I'm happy that I've kept still a lot in bitcoin and now regretting that I've used a few from my original holdings just to buy those altcoins that did become nearly as of typing this. We're all hopeful to the bull run and we don't know when it's going to happen but most likely, after the halving which is we're just 1 year and a couple of months far.
2902  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This Smells Like Hypocrisy on: January 25, 2023, 09:55:04 PM
That's what I think since their government is known to be really pro-people and taking care of it. That's just based on my perspective and I agree with you and you're right that they can't also control it anymore. But there are still some certain states or prefectures IIRC that do allow gambling there. And I think if they've seen that the changes are still not that effective, they'll make another policy to implement and will have to check and see if it's approving based on what they want to see as results.
Yes, there are indeed things which seems that it cant be controlled out even how government would be imposing such laws and rules where black market places would really still able to exist no matter on how they

are really that trying out to crack and this is why they would rather trying to regulate it out on the time they do realize that it is something that they cant be able to control with.

We know  Japan that is highly restrictive into lots of things which you would really be not shocked if ever there would be some odd exemptions on particular things but
well each country does have its own pace on how to handle up things.
Yeah, can't argue with that for most countries have their own ways of dealing with things and handling them. They may not entirely say the actual reason for it but I guess it's just being agreed upon on who's sitting on the authority and was consulted based on reports that they've got.
And this is the good thing when discussions are up and open for anyone's opinion, we do get to see and read what the others are thinking and different from what we think and feel.
2903  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This Smells Like Hypocrisy on: January 25, 2023, 09:34:28 PM
the reason for that is not because they care about their people and they don't want them to be addicted to gambling
I disagree on this one, Japan is a good country that gives importance to its people, culture, and heritage and that's why it's not just all about being gambling is addictive but they do care for those people that you've mentioned that they don't.
Well, it may be confusing but despite I haven't been there but I'm convinced after watching tons of videos about them and not just all about the place, food, and whatnot but their government is thinking of the people's welfare.

How do they think about the welfare of their people when the citizens of Japan can easily spend all their money on the lottery or the same horse races?

It seems to me that this is not the case here. The government simply understands that they can't control certain types of gambling, so they don't allow it, and those gambling games that are allowed, they make a profit for the treasury. Why would they want to change this if the allowed gambling meets the needs of both parties.
That's what I think since their government is known to be really pro-people and taking care of it. That's just based on my perspective and I agree with you and you're right that they can't also control it anymore. 2904  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Your successes over the past 5 years on: January 25, 2023, 08:51:02 PM
Your successes over the past five years: How well have you managed to increase the balance on your account during this time? Or have you lost everything? Tell me your story.

It's not just cryptocurrency that unites us all. We all became different after we learned about her, and went deeper into her knowledge. And now, even if someone is not very lucky to increase their deposit, then you probably have accumulated experience, and you can share it.
I can't give the entire detail but it's lovely to think about the five years that have passed so quickly and my bank account still doesn't have that much. But when I look at my portfolio, I'm happy to look at it every time even if the market isn't that good at all, there's an increase on it, thanks to DCA.
It's hard and tough to be consistent into accumulation but if you've been there and saw the early sell offs that you've done personally, you'll be eager to have some more and will push for it if you believe on this market.
2905  Economy / Gambling / Re: New casino BTC game development on: January 25, 2023, 07:53:20 PM
Welcome here!
It's been so long since I've seen an actual development of a new casino coming to the forum. If you plan to run it on your own and have it funded, there are many ways to do it but if you're going to sell it to another company or investor that wants to establish his/her own casino, that's also possible, no doubt that it's a good project you've made. So, good luck on finding an interested folk to buy it.
2906  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pi network mining on: January 25, 2023, 04:46:37 PM
But just imagine the hype a fake listing could create, now imagine if it was the real thing !?
There's always the hype that's being done by any influential in the market, whether it's from an exchange or a service. Any news that they bring out is becoming trending especially if it's something that will make a lot of people involved and emotional.
I've seen too many participants on mining pi and whoever has made this listing or had that idea is aware of how many are hopeful with it and probably tested if many are going to bike with that hype.
2907  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UK fines online casino for only asking KYC from winning gamblers on: January 25, 2023, 04:17:21 PM
I do hope in general they just tell the customers to KYC at signup maybe if they were to make it a necessity in the first place. I don't think it'd make that much difference no?
Actually it's good to make sure the gamblers are aware if they need to submit their KYC when playing on licensed casino. But the problem is, most people are are don't want to submit KYC but they do want to play in licensed casino, so if the casino ask the verification during create new account, I believe there are a lot people will choose other casino and this casino will lost a lot potential new gamblers.
Yeah, it's better to make that during the registration process so that the user signing up is aware of it. But that's for sure going to push away a lot of new registers on any casino that will do that. That's why some are too transparent to say that there's really no kyc at the registration but they may be asked if there's something wrong on their accounts like huge withdrawal requests or whatsoever related to limits and stuff.
2908  Economy / Speculation / Re: What happens next if Bitcoin drops to zero? on: January 25, 2023, 02:41:26 PM
1. Unlikely.
2. Then total wipe up of the entire crypto market. It's because majority of the altcoin's market are reliant to bitcoin and that's why if it gets to zero, then almost everything goes to zero as well and that means that the crypto market has totally been wiped.
2909  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Web3 Resort in Siargao?

Not familiar with those rapper pero parang hinde naman nila prinopromote ang cryptocurrency sa kanilang kanta and based on the picture in OP, maybe this is all about their experiences kung paano sila nagsimula. Anyway, kung marame naman ang follower ng rapper na ito and they are also curious about Bitcoin and crypto, sana mas palawakin pa na yung pangunawa nila dito and do their necessary action to get the right information.
2911  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Too accessible of online casino grows addiction faster? on: January 24, 2023, 08:42:06 PM
He's right but it's debatable, he could have just his bias toward the feedback that he's given.
Going with the outcome of being an addiction, both choices to me are just equal. You can be a responsible physical gambler or an online gambler and vice versa.
You can also be addicted to online gambling or physical gambling and that's why it's equal to me, there's no exception.
2912  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Quant - top 10 next bull run? on: January 24, 2023, 07:41:43 PM
Will be minimum top 15 next bull run I feel - less supply than Bitcoin is massive and will bring a lot of demand.
I was also like that where I'm basing the predictions that I got based on my feeling. But it has changed these days, supply is a big matter when I get to choose the projects that I invest with. But after some time, what I've realized is that its fundamentals and actual use case are much more important but in terms of comparison, people should stop comparing it with bitcoin whether it's just the supply or price. It's because we know that it's superior to the market and it's really incomparable.
2913  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This Smells Like Hypocrisy on: January 24, 2023, 05:54:07 PM

2914  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the factor that affects the price of bitcoin on: January 24, 2023, 03:31:02 PM
Its supply and demand are given knowing that this is the nature of any asset that has a market. I do agree about the news, since when I started to get into this market. One huge factor that affects the price of bitcoin is the news, good and bad.
But mostly, when a bad news is inserted to the market which will send FUD to everyone, that's making the price fall too easy and quickly and that's what the whales like.
2915  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Future of NFT on: January 24, 2023, 02:16:34 PM
Might be harsh to judge the future of these projects but I guess we have also to think about what these projects can do for us. In fact, they are not profitable in real but just a sort of art collection. Whether it will stay in the market but all I can say is that we can't make fortune from them. If we aim to make money from investing in crypto, we are supposed to look for projects that could really give us what we aim for, not just to spend and get nothing.
As long as we can never see any interesting development form them, it won't encourage investors as well to invest with them.
They've been profitable before but this is the cycle in the crypto market. Once a hyped project becomes profitable, soon its popularity will eventually be gone and it's hard to see it back again.
And on the case of NFTs, there could be some that shall survive but it will never be the same as high as before. The future of it is uncertain because we've been through the bear market and just as the ICOs/IEOs and others, they've never came back as lively as before.
2916  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to profit from altcoins collapses? on: January 24, 2023, 11:21:02 AM
I never touch or playing for something with will fall.
Take more sense buying other coins in good potential. Short-Long? too risky.
Just like the known quote, "don't catch falling knives".
That's a good action when you understand that if you're interested in buying during a fall, it's not the actual dip but it's more of those knives falling and will just bear damage to your portfolio. It's a different situation when we're telling people to buy in the dip for bitcoin because we know how entirely different it is from the altcoins that are being seen on its collapse.
2917  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your take on this crypto gambling use case idea? on: January 24, 2023, 10:54:20 AM
Do you think it makes sense if a crypto gambling platform only accepts it's own token for gambling and gambling on it's platform? If the games they offer are one-of-a-kind, new, and addictive wouldn't this make the gambling token very valuable? I am asking on behalf of a friend who wants to build his own crypto gambling project on the blockchain.
It makes sense for them if they're the only one who offers those type of games. Also, it's their platform so they've got all the rights to accept and deny any type of crypto as a payment that they support.

Will this work? Will this fail? What's your take on this?
Your friend will never know unless he tries it. But to give a hint, I've seen a lot of the same projects that have built their own casino and tokens but only a few of them became successful. And that is because with this market, it's already saturated and you'll be having hard time determining on how to increase your demand when there are a lot of competitors that are more reputable and popular.
2918  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin trading or Investing in the stock market on: January 24, 2023, 10:24:46 AM
Which is the best?  Trading on bitcoin or investing in the stock market? The battle between short period earning and long-term earning. Share your thought about it.
If I were Warren Buffett, I'll answer obviously the stock market and he's a long-term earner.
But since we're in a bitcoin forum and I'm a bitcoin investor then I'd say that bitcoin is better for me because I've experienced the better things with it when I'm able to make a profit through it. And if you're struggling to choose, you're already in the forum and it's not just bitcoin trading but it also includes altcoins if you're for it. But instead of bitcoin trading, you may want to choose bitcoin holding instead.
Yeah, if we were making that much money from stocks then we wouldn't even be here. We would simply just look at stocks that we picked and how much money we made and that would be enough. In any case, I have to say that it's a good life that we are living right now in the crypto world the same way warren did with stocks, there are a lot of people who made a lot of returns and I feel like it's not going to be that much of a shock in the long run if someone gets as rich as Warren did from crypto investments.

I mean we still have some time, in 10-20 years there could be some worlds richest man from crypto, and it's too early for that now but when that happens it will definitely impact the prices a lot and people will want to become like that person.
There's no doubt that our lives became better thanks to crypto and mainly to bitcoin. Without such, I guess we'll be back to our old lives when we're not even educated on how to take care of finances as we're able to learn about it through bitcoin.
So, choose where you think you'll be able to build your empire. It's not all about how quick you'll be good in trading stocks or bitcoin but about the stability and learning to understand each of its sides.
2919  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading as wealth. on: January 24, 2023, 09:42:52 AM
Let go into the society as a whole most wealthy and stable individual are in there position today as a result of investment which is cryptocurrency when we look at them most of them are into trading of assets.
You're confused, yes there are wealthy people that have become wealthy due to crypto but if you're talking about the wealthiest people in the world then they're not into crypto and they've built their empire through experience and a long period of time. You're right that they're into assets but take the example of Warren Buffett, he's an investor and focuses more on a long-term style of investing and that has made him wealthy. There are investments that will be good for you and not for the others so I think you have to assess first what you'll compare.
