2921  Other / Off-topic / Re: Slapping Tournament on: May 04, 2021, 04:56:06 PM
I was watching my favorite streamer MoistCr1tikal doing a side commentary on a Slapping Tournament, and what caught my eye was that it was sponsored by Totalbet, which means that it is a viable betting although I find it easy to bet if you have prior knowledge about who slaps the hardest. Are there any betting site that has this for betting?

When i read the title of your thread "Slapping tournament" i also immediately thought about MoistCr1tikal and his videos that he makes about this crazy "sport" Smiley. I couldn't find any betting website that offers bets on slapping events though and i also think it is pretty unlikely that this will change in the future. Those face slappers themself say that it is not a sport but an event for fun. I also read that the winner gets a price pool of 30k rubel which are around 400 dollars. So this sports needs to become more professional first before we see some reputable gambling sites will add bets on slapping championships to their portfolio  Smiley.
2922  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Neo has the ability to exceed $ 300 on: May 04, 2021, 04:03:54 PM
Neo is a very powerful project. This project has been in the market for a long time. The project has been repeatedly failing to achieve the desired goal for a long time. At the present time, many are expressing hope that the rules will now be able to create a much better position in the market. The reason is that his marketing policy is so strong that many are hoping he will be able to surpass his maximum high. Many people think that Neo will go above $ 300 in a few days. Do you think so?

Of course NEO has the potential to be at 300$ or more per coin. If you look at the charts then you will see, that neo was already at 170$ and more during the 2018 bullrun. In this bullrun neo was one of those older coins that came nowhere near their old ATH's of 2018 like IOTA and DASH for example, while other coins had no problem at all to reach a new ATH like ETH that is now almost at 3x the value of the 2018 bullrun. So yes technically NEO has still a lot of room to grow and pump but on the other hand, i haven't heard any big news from NEO recently, it was pretty quiet around them.
2923  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manga Betting on: May 04, 2021, 08:53:41 AM
I was reading Kengan Omega and Records of Ragnarok and I think that it can be used for potential betting because the story is ongoing and it is a fight which means that we can put our bets on who wins or whether the round is a draw. RoR has a predetermined roster though so you can only bet on who wins the match and no in-between since it is a fight to the death. Does anyone think that it can be a good idea to bet on the fights that only the writers know who will win?

Edit: I didn't mean a large scale betting it is more of an informal, like how you do a bet with your friends and nothing more than that.

Well as you already say your self, large scale betting would be problematic in my opinion, because there are just to many people out there that already know what happens, because my guess would be that there are at least 100+ people involved in the production of those big mangas/anime.
An informal betting betting about those things could be really fun though. I mean someone could create a website where users can give their prediction what happens next for the animes they watch and know. Another possible and even easier way is to just create a thread in a forum like this and let the people vote. There are already anime forums out there so i guess stuff like that already exists.
2924  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why FOMO when a coin is pumping on: May 04, 2021, 08:46:01 AM
I always wonder why a lot of people fomo to buy a coin or token after the price has pumped. In this present bull run I've seen a lot of people FOMO and buy cryptos at a really high price and they quickly dump when they witness drawdowns.
Isn't that just hustling backwards?? Its almost like they are trying to loose money on purpose.
So i wonder why they FOMO to buy in the first place

Well i think it's just in the human nature. If you see, that for example Ethereum is pumping like crazy and if you don't have any ethereum yourself yet then a lot of people are thinking: "Maybe it will pump even more, i want to be a part of this crazy bullrun" and buy into Ethereum too. What can happen by doing this of course is that they buy ETH for the highest possible price and then the coin starts dumping. It's not a secret, that you should not act out of emotions when you are trading but you need to stay calm and act in a objective way.
2925  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Cardano overthrow Ethereum? on: May 02, 2021, 11:39:34 PM
There have been a number of those thread now in the recent days and weeks. Will polkadot be the next Ethereum, will BNB overtake ETH and now this one. I personally don't think, that a project will push Ethereum away from the second position in terms of marketcap. At the moment ETH has more than 3x the market cap of XRP at number 3 and around 8 times the market cap of cardano. I think the recent upgrades of ETH and therefore the lower transaction fees that we are seeing since more than a week now will probably consolidate the second postion of Ethereum even more. So i can't see cardano push away ETH of his throne in the near or mid-term future.

The Race is over. Sadly not many exciting moments this weekend. Hamilton won again of course and it seemed that he still had some reserves left if verstappen would have come closer. A shame that bottas could not keep up with hamilton and verstappen again. That is kinda sad, for him but also for the whole competition because now it's already clear again after 3 races that bottas will have to work for hamilton this year again as he can not really challenge him. Also i was happy to see that Mick Schumacher was able to overtake latifi close to the end. He really seems to have some talented as he is driving in the weakest car of all and still managed to overtake a williams.
2927  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is dogecoin suitable for kids? on: May 01, 2021, 11:34:19 PM
I am thinking to teach my 8 yr old daughter about crypto. But past history riddled with illicit activity so I was thinking to open her a just dogecoin wallet and have her to learn to use it. Do you think it is suitable? Anyone done this? Or any risk?

Thanks.,

I mean if you gift her like 20$ worth of dogecoin instead of giving her 20$ in form of a dollar bill than i don't see any harm in that. This way you can give her a introduction into cryptos by creating a wallet showing her how she can send coins around and so on. So i think it's a pretty cool idea and probably way more interesting for you daughter too in comparison to just hand her a 20$ bill. She will probably look at her wallet a lot of times in the future to see if her 20$ are growing in value or not.  Smiley

The qualifying is over and sadly mercedes was pretty far ahead of the other teams again with a 0,4s gap between mercedes and verstappen. Bottas managed to beat hamilton today which will help him to get some confidence back after the bad results he had in the last races. Great performance of vettel today as he managed to reach Q3 today and his teammate was already eliminated in Q1. For tomorrows race i am afraid that i will most likely be a clear victory for mercedes as they can start on the medium tyres. It will be interesting to see, if Bottas is allowed and able to battle with hamilton for the victory.
2929  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: May 01, 2021, 11:28:43 AM
We are now on Madrid Open, Nadal is the top seed.

Unfortunately, Djokovic has to withdraw because of 'family issues;. Nadal is the same bracket as Sinner, in 3rd round, or Zverev in QF or Thiem, so this is interesting if they are going to face each other. While Medvedev have Tsitsipas.

Nadal can face Zverev in the QF and thiem in the semi-final. I think that Zverev will probably not big that big of a problem to nadal if he can perform at his normal level because clay is not the best surface of Zverev. Dominic Thiem in the semi-finals can be more dangerous though i think. Thiem plays stronger on clay than Zverev and already showed that a couple of times as he was in the Final of the french open 2 years ago for example. In the end it all depends on Nadal. If he stays without injury and can reach his normal level then no one can beat him on clay.
2930  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 90% chances if a coin is listed in Binance it has a good potential on: April 30, 2021, 09:43:57 PM
When binance (or coinbase) announces to list a coin than in most cases that coins starts to pump. This is not a new thing. Also most of the times the price comes down again after the initial hype because of the listing announcement. So if you act like you said and only buy coins that are already listed on binance than you are missing that pump and i don't think it is true that the coins that are listed on binance are pumping the most. I am pretty sure all those new meme-coins that came up in the last few weeks performed way better than most binance-listed coins. Of course those meme-coins will die pretty quickly too.
2931  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: April 30, 2021, 12:00:43 PM
No Bundesliga this weekend. The DFB cup will be held today and tomorrow. Today game is between Bremen and Leipzig ...

Leipzig most probably will not be able to reach the title in the Bundesliga this season. Hence, this cup is even more important for them now to win at least one title. Bremen did a really good job by making it to the semi finals. But I think it is the end of the road for them. I expect Leipzig to eliminate them and reach the final.

Leipzig is definitely the big favorite in this semi-final, but i think that werder bremen can be very dangerous today. It's true that Bremen did not play well in the last few matchdays of the bundesliga but i think a big reason for that is that the players are under a lot of pressure in every bundesliga match because they know if they lose they get closer and closer to playing in the second division next year. This can be very inhibiting for many players. Today they have nothing to lose though and the pressure is totally on the side of leipzig as this is their only realistic chance for a title this year.
2932  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Full of get-rich-quick opportunities at Bitcointalk on: April 30, 2021, 11:44:43 AM
Yesterday I saw someone mention #Dogira at Bitcointalk, then I went and bought it and quickly made twice as much money!

Thanks to this platform, it's full of get-rich-quick opportunities!!! Grin

Congratulations to your successful trade OP. It is true that this forum is a good source for general information about crypto but also a great place to find out about new promising projects and sometimes you are lucky and you listen to the advices of the right people. You also need to be aware though that the crypto space is a pretty wild one. If you see someone that says "Buy XX now it will moon tomorrow" you should always be very careful because most of the time he is just shilling a coin that he owns himself or maybe he is even paid to do that by that project. So take the input from this forum, but afterwards do some research yourself and find out if a project is really worth investing.
2933  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This happened many months ago but still wanted to share. on: April 29, 2021, 01:18:05 PM
That was quite a pity and annoying for you i can imagine OP. Those Bonus campaigns often come with very specific terms and very strict rules which are associated with it, i mean after all everyone needs to understand that those casinos are there to make money and therefore are not giving away money or credits just like that.
Reading through the response of the casino i have to say it seems fair and adequate to me, if there were really so many case of overbetting like they say. I mean of course you lost your possible profit of 20k$ which is a big loss but in the end it was your fault and as they wrote in their statement you still have your original deposit and maybe you can make such a big profit again.  Smiley
2934  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: April 29, 2021, 01:03:11 PM
Guardiola is a genius! One of the most beautiful match I've ever seen in my life, great from both sides but with a clear winner! Pep is a football master, the way City was able to find this win is simply astonishing.
This is the team best equipped to raise the cup in Turkey and I can't wait to see if PSG will try to fight back or not.

Well i agree with you that Guardiola is a genius because of his tiki-taka football that he played with barca back in 2009 to 2013. That was really beautiful to watch.
That game yesterday though? I mean come on that was an average match nothing more and PSG was the better team and was clearly dominating ManCity during the first half. Then after the break ManCity scored 2 extremely lucky goals within 7 minutes. From that point on ManCity was the dominating team which is also not really surprising because those 2 lucky goals were just to much for the PSG players to handle and they clearly lost their confidence.
2935  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I think ethereum is the best crypto next to bitcoin. on: April 29, 2021, 12:53:20 PM
Well Project XX is "the best" is always a pretty unclear and personal statement, but it is definitely true that Ethereum is the biggest cryptocurrency next to bitcoin, if you simply take a look at the marketcap and also the  popularity. I personally think that ETH really deserves that ackknowledgement and also the media coverage it gets because it introduced the smart contract functionality into the world of cryptos and finance which was a big move forward. Most of the stuff that we see in the crypto-space today like Yield-Farming, Swaps, easy Token creation would not be possible without the great idea of the guys that came up with Ethereum.
2936  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: To keep coin long term on: April 29, 2021, 12:10:34 PM
Hello community here,

I am newbie here and happy to join here.

My ask is what will be your advices about keeping a coin long term ? Which coin is worth for it?

any ideas will be appreciated.

Always be careful if you ask those questions in social media and also here in the forums because a lot of people that will tell you to buy this or that project are not telling you this because they believe that these are the best projects but because they own them themself and want to shill their coin.
It's always the best thing to do your own research. Go to coinmarketcap or coingecko and read through the projects that you think are interesting.
If you are planning to hold really long term than of course the big and estblished projects are the probably the safest to invest in like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Binance, but i guess that is nothing new to you.
2937  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: April 28, 2021, 10:37:16 PM
It was a bad match result for the home team psg. Second half game superiority was completely taken over by the city and found two goals. had a hard time finding position and getting out of defense psg. When Gueye received a red card at 78 minutes, I said this match ended here.

I have to say i feel kinda sorry for PSG today even though i don't like that club very much in general. They were clearly the better team in the first half and even in the second half they didn't start that bad. It was not like that ManCity pushed hard from the very beginning of the second half. Then PSG received those weird first goal that came completely out of nowhere and was very lucky that the cross just went trough untouched right into the goal. Then only 7 minutes later PSG received another very unlucky goal that should have never happened the way it did. That was pretty much Mbappes fault who turned away from the ball. After those two goals PSG lost their track which is understandable in my opinion.
It's still possible for them to make a comeback in the second leg, but i will be very hard.
2938  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: April 28, 2021, 08:07:39 PM
Really interesting game so far and i am impressed how good Paris is performing today. They dominated ManCity in the first half which i didn't expect. Their goal was after a corner but hey that counts also as a goal. ManCity had only 1 real big chance but foden should have scored there. I mean he could place a shot from around 12 meters or so without ony PSG-player being close to him and he shot the ball directly at the psg keeper which therefore had no problem to make the save. It will be interesting to see, if ManCity can take control over the game now in the second half as they really need a goal to not give PSG a big advantage in the second leg.
2939  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: April 28, 2021, 03:05:29 PM
Paris Saint-Germain ? - ? Manchester City The crude oil clubs in Europe face up tonight in France with the most expensive squads in football history with both team players worth over $1Billion. Tonight will be about a team that can put in the better performance; Can Dias and Stones stop Mbappe, Neymar and Di Maria? Can De Bruyne, Gundogan and Foden dominate midfield proceedings ? I see a tie with flurry of goals wit PSG waiting to hit Manchester City on the counter

A 2-2 draw is very deserving.

As you already said, both clubs are basically toys of billionaire sheiks, it's the same with chelsea except it's a russian oligarch there instead of a sheikh. That is also the reason why i would like Real Madrid to win the Champions league this year, even though i am not a big fan of them in general.
To todays match: I personally think that ManCity is stronger than Paris even though the gap between them is not that big. I have read that Mbappe maybe misses this match or even if he participates he will probably not be at 100%. This fact is also a advantage for ManCity of course. I guess it will be a pretty close game but Manchester is my 60/40 favorite here.

Holding coins and tokens and not looking back until you start hearing how big crypto market is will leave you in a very bad mood, I'm sure this must have happened to some people here as well, this is my new sad story, I have some moozicore and nxps in holding and I just heard that they swapped to new coins leaving my tokens useless

MZI swapped to MZG
NXPS swapped to PUNdiX

I hope others will learn from this

Yeah the "bad" thing about crypto is that even if you just want to be a longtime hodler and are not planning to touch your coins for 5 years or so, you can't just completely forget about them for that long period of time. I personally had this with Modum and SMARC. Both of them swapped their tokens against some kind of shares and for that you had to download a app first. Then send your tokens to a burn address, do KYC. So if i would not have checked on telegram from time to time or here in the forums i probably would have missed that and my Tokens would be completely worthless now.
