Only if I had assets to spare, and not too much into it even then. It would only be based on the expectation that more people would buy into it, even if it makes no sense right now.
Alts are more attractive at this point. Bitcoin is simply is too expensive to operate with, and it's slower on top of it. Thing is it remains the most popular even with the shortcomings.

Only as a joke prior to this. They are coming in every possible color now. What is the crypto world to become?

If btc is widely accepted, governments would be losing power, and people dependent on fiat, which is almost everyone, would be losing purchasing power. It might not be too noticeable at that point yet, but, when it comes to money, if one side gains the other inevitably losses.
On the other hand, if it stays mostly as an asset people speculate on, like now, not much would be different even at a much higher price.

Unrealistic expectations there, no?
Anyway, I'd first invest in improving myself.

Trust no one too much.
Cold storage is the best way to do it. Anything else is riskier.

Tokens credited to my account. My thanks to the team here.

Just gonna say there's greed and valid concerns on both ends.
And is an alt inferior just because it is an alt?

A lot of fiat was traded for LTC, but then LTC was in turn traded for BTC.
LTC's still doing great though.

Doge always good to transfer fund from one exchanger to another because of lower fee comparing to bitcoin...
And is much faster, too. Too bad ones like Bitfinex don't carry it.

Just look at how much the world changed in the last couple decades, do you think you could predict anything accurate about something that far? Things will only move faster saving a major disaster.

These last couple days sure been great for this one in the market, but I have no clue where this leads.

"Bitcoin" is coming in every color and flavor.
Don't really use facebook nor twitter here, so good luck to those that do.
|
|
|
Any any idea how many have installed it? Just wondering if I have a shot at these.

I finally got mine as well, but I have to agree, between delays and else, it wasn't as hassle free as expected.

Yes bitcoin sounds money. Can earn it spend it you can even use bitcoin to pay bills and makes payment easier bitcoin has a great value.
Maybe some day. Even if viable, right now I can't afford competitive fees on top of the actual payments.
|
|
|
Is there anywhere we can see who got paid and who’s missing?
Or at least some more updates. It's been long enough. Nothing we can do except hope for the best.

There's many Chinese investments in the sector, but as a nation it might not be in their best interests. Because the Chinese government believes that bitcoin can not be controlled, it will undermine the Chinese market economy and think bitcoin is dangerous. Bitcoin is anonymous, bitcoin can be exploited by criminals and criminals, and the government can not trace criminal minutes. So the Chinese government does not like bitcoin. Sensible reply, are you from the region?

People accepting it or not is all that gives power to any of these coins. As such, almost any of them could grow, or become irrelevant. It is true, however, that rich players are going to disproportionately higher amount of influence.

If the whales really support it, it can keep going up.
I'm gonna stay with stuff like NEO, ETH and IOTA myself.

You could pump the price of some unpopular coin with your purchases, and generate fake volume, but people would be wary if there's no reasons for it to have picked up. Controlling a coin that no one trades is not too different from owning monopoly money.
