If they shut miners down will this not affect BCH price in same ratio or is BCH hashrate independent of Chinese miners (Will McAfee and Mystery miner,jihan Wu then increase mining activity for BCH) ?
We at BCH are geniuses and we also think ahead which is why our difficulty algo would adjust in a day while the monkeys running BTC [into] the ground would need months. In cryptoworld months means BCH will totally take over and BTC can then focus on lemonade stand sales which would be ideal for their tiny block strategy. I can't speak for Jihan or McAfee but I think they and the rest of the miners are starting to see the light. |

Off the top of my head it was: Bitcoin Namecoin IXcoin I0Coin Tenebrix (first scrypt coin which LTC copied) Fairbrix Huntercoin LTC came after all these coins get it seems nobody gets it. Nuggets was in the first 25 and ShitCoin in the first ~50 yet you won't seem them listed anywhere. All inaccurate lists. Cheers! |

If you're serious that's an easy one man. PoW algo change, make all their gear obsolete. Give power back to the people, back to GPU mining. There are enough out there to secure the chain.
But it may not be necessary - their own govt may shut them down.

There is only 1 bitcoin.All forked chains are altcoins who are DEPENDENT on bitcoin to exist the same as a parasite is dependent on the host.Some altcoins have their place in the order but they can do NOTHING bitcoin cannot do at any time upon consensus.Anyone dumping their Bitcoin to buy altcoins are free to do so and bitcoin gives them this freedom to have a diverse pool of altcoins,shitcoins,ICO's etc to choose from because without bitcoin they would not exist but remember bitcoin is not here to hold your hand when you lose it all.
All very true and especially the fact most alts are about to die so I hope people start moving out of those and into "Bitcoin" or the top few alts. That said, per Satoshi and his whitepaper the "real" Bitcoin will always be the longest chain which also has economic majority. That means BTC can die or get pushed aside by another chain and then by the rules set aside in the whitepaper that chain would become the real Bitcoin. It's very simple and straightforward. It's a very democratic/capitalistic model to ensure the best innovation always wins. |

Bitcoin isn't decentralized. I've been saying that for years, which is why my main focus was mass adoption. If you don't believe me then listen to top core devs like Luke-Jr who have previously stated the same thing: Bitcoin is not anonymous nor decentralized. When 2 Chinese miners can collide and 51 BTC and 1 manufacturer/miner backdoors 70% of all ASICS that's not decentralized, that's imminent disaster waiting to happen. |

So let's think ahead this time. What happens when you remove most of the liquidity from an asset?
This is what's really at play in my mind, what you have to prepare for. Cause one way or another it's gonna get REALLY volatile.
You can speculate about the Chinese govt but I always felt they were involved but it's hard to tell what their end game is regarding bitcoin.
So end of month expect seriously large volatile movements in BTC and BCC.
I fully expect BCC to overtake BTC by at least a factor of 2. Right now BTC is worth nearly 10x BCC.

There is no replacement for BTC at the moment. I don't see how BCH can replace BTC when not many people uses it.
Any bitcoin fork can become the real bitcoin as soon as that chain becomes the longest chain and gets economic majority. If BTC is banned by the US govt then that will happen automatically and very much overnight. I said the choice would not be as easy as Hodling. I was expecting crazy things to happen. It's the volatile unpredictable nature of Bitcoin/Crypto. Good news is that BCC/BCH should go on a massive run here and BTC is near an all-time high. Not this time. I was the first one that I know of when China and then Russia banned bitcoin for the first time to say it was a game so they could accumulate like. I have a strong feeling this North Korea deal is not a game or a joke and if so then there is a very real risk the US govt will literally kill BTC for national security reasons. Then I wanna see guys like Andreas and all the anarchists who said they'd just keep using BTC if it ever got banned. BTC now has massive systemic risk which is not reflected in the price. Diversify cause things could get really ugly in the next couple months. |

BTC is at ~$3600, BCC at ~$425, so BCC is around .11 sat. I would be buying BCC heavily here. The odds of BCC going to 2X the value of BTC in the next 2-3 months is very high. Just like I was shouting at people to mortgage their houses and kick their wives in the nuts when BTC dropped below $500, I'm telling you, BCC at $425 and lower is absurdly low risk with high potential and within a very short timeframe.
