After the unexpected gearbox problem it looks like Verstappen is going for this once again. We will see if Leclerc will also have any issue that will require some change in the car. If he doesn't then he is going to have a huge advantage for sure. But I still can't be sure of anything about the winner after watching Verstappen's incredible speed in the Belgian GP. I expect nothing different in his home GP as well. Ferrari will need to keep a solid pace here. They were so slow in the last race that even Mercedes were quicker than them. This is the biggest chance for Leclerc to win and collect the most points in a race for the team.

It is still not the old Messi completely actually. But you all have a point that Messi is much better compared to last season. Messi can be his old version only if he returns to Barcelona but I don't know if he is thinking of it before his retirement. This is just the version of Messi which is close to his old performances. He needs to be consistent in the Champions League especially. Maybe drops in his form don't affect the team significantly in the Ligue 1 matches because of not having a real challenge. But the Champions League wouldn't forgive them if PSG don't play strongly as a team.

If the rumours are true Chelsea made a 80 million euro offer for Rafael Leao but Milan rejected it already. His current market value is already 70 million euros so there is no way Chelsea are signing him by paying a little more than that. I wonder if they made this offer before signing Aubameyang. Because as you know Leao can play as a left winger and centre-forward both. Or maybe they were thinking of him for the left wing as they have only Sterling there. They first thought of Neymar but his contract was going to be very expensive. After that they went for Leao but failed.

It was still a good day for me to get 1.5 points from this match as my prediction was a 2-1 win for Manchester United. 

The first half was really lovely for Manchester United. There were many positive things and the goal was also a product of a nice counter-attack. Rashford performed well in this match and he is doing really good when he gets the chance these days. De Gea's save against Maddison's superb free-kick was worth watching as well. I don't know what they would do without De Gea I mean as he is one of the heroes of the team for long years. It would have been a great ending if Ronaldo's volley finished up with a goal. 

I think that the Aubameyang deal is beneficial for each side. Because Chelsea immediately needed to sign a striker before the end of the window. Otherwise a very tough season was waiting for them due to scoring problems. Aubameyang is one of the great choices available in the market. He is very familiar with the Premier League too so there wouldn't be any adaptation issue as well. Barcelona needed to get rid of some players to solve their registration problems in the La Liga also. Depay or Aubameyang was needed to leave and they reached their goal.

I believe Ricciardo should absolutely stay here despite having a bad season now. These things happen to even the most experienced drivers sometimes so he shouldn't be wasted this much easy. He is still one of the very talented drivers. I remember how ambitious he was when he was driving for Red Bull but he was sent from the team because of the problems between him and Verstappen. Otherwise his future would have been brighter than this.

Let's say hello to a new race week.     The Dutch Grand Prix is the home GP for Verstappen and we know how he dominated the last race here. While Red Bull are the fastest on the grid currently it is going to be really difficult for Leclerc to compete with him at the same level. Maybe we would see a fierce rivalry if Ferrari don't screw up. Leclerc must have missed to win races so much after this poor form.

Monaco are really a complete mess. They started the season with a 2-1 Strasbourg win. As you can remember Strasbourg were one of the striking teams of the previous season as they fought for even top 4. Therefore I was feeling positive about Monaco's new season after this start. But all of the matches after that are a complete disaster. They couldn't win a single match in four weeks. I can understand the point loss against PSG of course but they could have won nearly all of the other matches. They just conceded 8 goals in total from Troyes and Lens in home matches. I wonder if they will recover later on like the previous season.

Chelsea might still make a move for Neymar right before the end of the window according to the source below.

It is said that PSG are leaning towards a deal because of some issues with FFP. However I don't think that the main reason is that. The real reason might be related to the disagreements between Mbappe and Neymar. Mbappe is still not happy with Neymar's existence in the team. He is showing this by his attitude against him in the matches as well. If it will go on like this then it might be better for Neymar to leave to be honest. But he might still have a motivation to stay here because of Messi.

Strong players are doing a really good job in the Turkish Super League. Galatasaray have a great example like Didier Drogba in the past as well. Cavani would have been a good choice of course but he can't anymore. Because he has already joined Valencia.    To be honest his name was even called with Monza which are a Serie A team now. There weren't many clubs after him to sign so it was an opportunity for Galatasaray to sign him. But they went for Seferovic instead and the result is seen by everyone now. It's a disaster.

My current condition is like this. I couldn't predict any exact score today. If Tottenham were able to get ahead once again and won by 2-1 then it was going to be the only exact score I predict. But Tottenham didn't have a good performance in the second half. Tottenham must be thankful for not losing the match too. Because West Ham wasted so many goal chances after it became 1-1. Tottenham were making simple mistakes in their defense. Antonio's assist to Soucek was really impressive by the way.

Manchester City really seem like they are going to dominate this season. Haaland has made a big impact already at the beginning indeed. We are going to see what they will do in the biggest matches of the league as well. I'm curious about the matches between them and Arsenal especially. When Gabriel Jesus faces his old team I won't doubt his performance. It's good for him to choose Arsenal as we are watching his skills more than before. Otherwise he was going to wait in the subs while Haaland was playing like a beast.  

Among the biggest favourites of the title, I see that Manchester City and PSG are quite under pressure to win it because of not achieving this title in their histories. Manchester City have just built the dream team with Haaland's joining. They must be near impossible to be stopped from now on. Guardiola must have learned his lesson from their Real Madrid matchup last season also.

When it comes to PSG they have changed their manager and their choice was a little unexpected. They didn't prefer to bring a very experienced manager into this arena. They brought a manager like Galtier and actually took a bigger risk. Maybe the Ligue 1 performance so far has been impressive but it can be deceptive at the same time. The Champions League is way tougher than there. The trio has a big responsibility under his management. The team are more attacking focused now and they are successful at it too. If they don't lose their focus this time we might see them in the finale.

Trabzonspor are planning a move to sign Mauro Icardi from PSG. As they are likely to sell Cornelius to FC Copenhagen they are in search of a new striker. They wanted to direct their route to Icardi but it looks like Icardi isn't leaning towards joining them even though they are in the Europa League while Galatasaray aren't in any European tournament this season. It must be because of Galatasaray's being a bigger team when we take their history into account. If he doesn't get any offer from other European teams in bigger leagues then he is still likely to sign for Galatasaray.

Galatasaray are in desperate need of a striker so Icardi might be the solution they have been searching for. They just need to get rid of Seferovic as soon as possible also.

It is a horrible day for me because I'm about to finish the day with 0 points in case the matches end like this. I picked a win for Chelsea by 2-1 but they are the losing side by this score at the moment.    Actually Manchester United were able to defeat Southampton last week. And Southampton were lacking the skill of scoring goals despite finding many critical chances. I expected a similar scenario in this match too. But Chelsea are having a really bad day.

However I see that all the people in the pool are getting 0 point if this match ends up with this score. Therefore it's still not bad for me.

I'm feeling great after the 4-0 Barcelona win. Because it was my exact pick in the pool.    Sergi Roberto did me a favour by scoring the last one in the final moments. I must add that Lewandowski was very impressive tonight by two goals. He has adapted to the team really fast by reaching his 4th goal in the La Liga.

Another pick of mine is 3-1 Real Madrid win. So far so good as it is 1-1 at halftime. I'm happy to see Espanyol scoring the equalizer because this can ease things for me as Real Madrid would keep the tempo high to get ahead again. And we can watch a similar scenario to the Celta Vigo match. Real Madrid scored three more goals after the score became 1-1 there.

The second half was under control of PSG completely but this didn't help for a win. It was a lucky draw for Monaco by 1-1. It was weird to see Galtier changing Messi with another player in the last minutes. Maybe he would have scored the winning goal in the end. The trio should never be changed unless there is an emergency. Because the whole team are dependent on these players to win their matches one by one. I mean especially the matches that can be called as the biggest.

Monaco got this kind of unexpected results against PSG in the past so I decided to stay away from betting on this match. But both teams to score was really a good choice of bet.

Summer break wasn't any help for Ferrari as it seems. Because they were really weak in this race against Verstappen and Perez both. They were even slower than Russell which was even more embarrassing for them. Ferrari can't be slower than Mercedes now. Maybe Leclerc had some problems with his car but Sainz also struggled too much. Now Perez has also left Leclerc behind in the driver standings. Leclerc was going to fight for the title with a fast car but he is far away from that point at the moment. Ferrari's bad calls played a big role in this during the season.
