2921  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin the most Bullish crypto of the moment on: August 08, 2021, 10:09:19 AM
Code:
price $45,019
If you have study, the entire market in the past few weeks you will discover the cryptocurrency market is a system, and this system works together in terms of market value, but at some point, some cryptocurrencies perform more than others e.g. Bitcoin which is the dominant cryptocurrency. Bitcoin at the moment is in another bullish position while other altcoins, except a few, are in a downtrend mode this leads me to the conclusion that Bitcoin is the most Bullish crypto at the moment.

free to add your opinion on this, but the view should be limited to 2021 alone.

Bitcoin has been bullish since it's inception, of course it will go on a 4 year cycle bulls and bear trend. But being the prime mover of crypto, no doubt that it will continue to go and the price going on the exponential growth in the next 10 years.

Nothing wrong with altcoins though, the likes of Ethereum and others, but majority will say that Bitcoin is the best crypto asset.
2922  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol on: August 07, 2021, 04:26:50 AM
Another fight that wont give Canelo anything except money and a chance to get injured by an opponent from higher weight division.
If Canelo is up to money that much, he should challenge one of Paul brothers. That will be an easy fight and easy money.

He fought one time in the LHW division and beat a former champ, it does take him more rounds though, but in the end it was the same result, Canelo by KO. Of course, that's why he bolted out of his contract with Golden Boy because of the money dispute, so he is after making big money.

How many more year Canelo is planning to be in business? I think it is time for him to retire (not because of age, but because there are no more strong opponents left) or move to other division.

He still has Caleb Plant in the radar, it's supposed to be him and not Bivol, maybe there are some disagreements. But I don't think he will retire, he is still at his prime, although I agree that he is cleaning up the division from Middleweight to Light Heavy. Maybe he can give GGG a trilogy for his biggest paycheck before thinking of retirement.
2923  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is not getting above $41,000 on: August 07, 2021, 02:12:09 AM
Lol, the OP spoke too soon, now that it is above $41k, let's see how will he react now  Grin.

I guess he is happy camper seeing the price reaching as high as $43k. And eventually his wishes of $50k might be hit in the next coming weeks, so everything is good right now.

Just some advise, as others have said, let the market goes on it's normal flow and eventually the price is going to increased long term.
2924  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tokyo 2020 Men's Olympics Basketball Tournament on: August 07, 2021, 01:12:24 AM
One thing I have a beef with Olympics basketball is that, they put the finals game in a good hour for Americans to watch and that makes no sense to me at all. I get that USA is at finals, and they are a big market, but France is the other half and it is in the middle of the night for them, people need to wake up and watch that game and go back to sleep, it is a horrible time for them. Plus the game is a worldwide game, it is not just NBA game, it is Olympics, every other nation will be watching it too.

And with all of that in mind, they still put it at an hour only the Americans would watch ideally, and all others would have to sacrifice sleep, that makes zero sense. It is obvious that USA is favorites and they will not repeat their mistake and they will win this game for sure, but I will not even watch the highlights because I am super mad about the hour, just gonna see the result and move on.

I'm not sure about the scheduling, as far as I know they always followed the local time.

@Harkorede - I'll tail on this time bro, lost my bet on the US team last time. And I agree, usually they start very slow, but once they got momentum and the lead, they are going to slowly extend it up to the last minute. Just watching the 2008 with Kobe vs Gasol's Spain, US takes the lead, Spain comeback and make it close, US only leads 3 point, and then Kobe hit a 3 and then Wade in the last 2 minutes and it's over.
2925  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a safe haven? on: August 06, 2021, 04:09:30 AM
Bitcoin could be viewed as an alternative to banking system, and we don't need to deem it as safe haven. Actually there's no asset that is safe, even gold and oil fluctuates.

What bitcoin can offer is that it can somewhat been a leverage, but we have to understand that it is very volatile as well, so that risk is high.
2926  Economy / Speculation / Re: At last at last, bitcoin increase more than $41,000 on: August 06, 2021, 03:26:09 AM
I was very happy yesterday when I saw the price of bitcoin to reach $40,000, I check the market after I woke up today to still still the price to remain at $41,000./I was very happy to see that, it is that bitcoin price will not fall back below $40,000. It take time before bitcoin get to over $40,000 because it was fluctuating between $$38,000 and $40,000 bit the price is now over $40,000, we are expecting $50,000 next.

Being happy is a human instinct, but we should be in control while our deepest emotions will be affected by this brilliant progress that we've experienced lately. On that side of $50k predictions, I must be careful on that scenario because we're too excited while it's not yet happening.

This month $40k still be our good target, because fluctuations remains so volatile and unpredictable which drastically made btc price crash sometimes down to $37k.

We are back to $40k in the last 24 hours, so that's a positive indication that we might see $42k again and sustain that price and the next target is $45k. There seems to be a lot of positive sentiments again that's why the price seems to spike. Of course we will take it one day at a time and doesn't want to see a super bullish run to $50k at it might be just artificial pump and could be a bull trap. So let's see how it pan out this month, whether we stay above $40k or go for $50k.
2927  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tokyo 2020 Men's Olympics Basketball Tournament on: August 06, 2021, 02:30:32 AM
Guys, I can't believe it, I was convinced Slovenia will beat France.
We cannot deny that it was an excellent and disputed game. In my opinion Luka doesn't play very good, including 2-9 (3 points) I'm surprised!

I don't know, but I believe the USA has more chances to beating France in the finals than Slovenia, Luka is one of the few players in these Olympics who "can dominate" some USA players.

Yeah, I thought that it will be Slovenia vs US in the finals, and I take a L on both games.

The thing with Luka though is that he has a bad shooting night because France defenders put a physical on him. Nevertheless, the finals between USA and France will be good, Gobert and Batum will have to carry France in both defense and offense. But we all know that team USA has a lot of players that can shoot and take the game so it will be very though for France to win against USA.
2928  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 06, 2021, 02:09:25 AM
In today’s NBA drama, Ben Simmons has reportedly cutoff contact with everyone in the Philadelphia 76ers organization including ignoring calls from Joel Embid. Ben Simmons is saying he wants to end up on one of the California teams. I think his trade request could’ve been handled better but I understand he’s mad about the playoffs… This is how you end up a Sacramento King.
You're right. Simmons should only buy a ticket to Sacramento, considering that the Lakers and the Warriors don't need him. Also, it looks like he's depressed after that playoff performance because ignoring any contact with team management and teammate has been a stupid action on his part imho.

Lakers, Clippers, Warriors are already filled up, the only other options for him is Sacramento.

Too bad for Simmons though, it seems that the relationships with the Sixers will end up in a bad note. Maybe he really take the heat on their lost against Atlanta, specially when he opted to pass the ball instead of dunking it and you can see Joel approaching him and telling something into his face.
2929  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What was your first impression when you first invested in IcO/IDO? on: August 05, 2021, 04:00:53 AM
Recently, I participated in investing in a project in the public sale stage.  Of course, I did the exercises on it and decided to go there.  0.65ETH is my investment fund when accumulating part of my salary for several months.  My feelings are very mixed, emotional, nervous with anxiety.  I check out the API progress bar on their website, checking the number of transactions on the smart contract hourly.  Lol, I know and believe in the project but in this blockchain world anything can be reversed.  So what's the first impression on your new project?  I am sure it is 100% difference when you buy BTC/ETH

Yes, it's a very different experience when you bought your BTC/ETH because you can have total control of it.

As compare to investing on ICO, it's more riskier, you don't know if the project is going to be successful or not. And then you have to wait if the project are going to list their token to a top tier exchange. So I understand your feeling because that's what I also get when I first invested on an ICO before. Checking their social media like every couple of hours to see some update, lol.
2930  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google starts accepting Bitcoin ads on: August 05, 2021, 03:32:02 AM
Yes, this is good news, but it doesn't mean that advertisers will have an easy time to used for any projects specially scammy ones. They will have to pass certain requirements before being allowed to use in Google platforms.

So this is a win-win again for crypto related projects, they can take the and used Google and then Google can obviously generate income from the ads.
2931  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 05, 2021, 02:41:55 AM
Melo, Ariza, and Howard definitely will have a secondary role on the court. However, they might be very useful if top players of the Lakers starting lineup are injured as it was during the previous season. So it looks like the Lakers are trying to create a strong bench.
IMO they want a defensive team. A team that would highlight the true nature of Frank Vogel. Defense.
They may be old but they are known for their high-level aggressiveness in D and that's all the Lakers need that had been missing last year.
Offense is not much of a problem with WB, Lebron, Melo, and Davis.
Dwight is also a good backup for AD, to avoid stressing his injuries and give him minutes to rest. I just realized they are now filled with big men. Giants.

They have also Marc Gasol, another big men who has experienced as well, and a threat to the outside. He didn't get a good exposure last season, but I'm sure Vogel will insert him if needed as we have seen in the playoffs against the Suns as he hit crucial 3. They let go of Caruso, but added Ariza to play the defense for them against shooting guards of the opposing team.
2932  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tokyo 2020 Men's Olympics Basketball Tournament on: August 05, 2021, 01:48:01 AM
This morning, we are going to have a wonderful game between USA and Australia. If it wasn't too early in my local time, then I would really like to watch this one. But I see it as very obvious that USA will just destroy their opponent with a big effort. I'm curious about Durant's performance. I guess he would score 25+ points.

I'm not sure if US can "destroy" Australia here. Australia is a very good team because it also boosted with NBA stars. So if ever US will win, it's going to be a close match, so I'm not sure if US can cover the odds of -11.5 currently. Sharing my bet on the US vs Spain last game:

So I will go with the same bet, +11.5 @1.94.
2933  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tokyo 2020 Men's Olympics Basketball Tournament on: August 03, 2021, 02:52:15 AM
So attractive.
[..]
From sportsbet.io

Attractive indeed but not gonna bet on that one as I'm a big fan of the US basketball team and I expect them to win this one.

I don't expect a blowout win from them so I'm betting for Spain with HC, hope this will works hehe.

[..]

Exactly, we have the same thoughts, so I'm going with the +14.5 @1.92 boosted odds.

Spain will really stick with the US here so I'm also not expecting a blowout win by the US.

And then wait for the result of this match, before I bet on Italy vs France and Australia vs Argentina, I'm smelling some upset between that two games.
2934  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin current stage and price on: August 03, 2021, 02:08:50 AM
This week holds high expectations for Bitcoin enthusiasts and traders who are waiting for the next Bitcoin movement. The price of bitcoin is $39,700, which some analysts consider as a bullish momentum. We expect at lists a $45k Bitcoin price before the end of this week or a strong resistance of $43k price and the end of the week.
What are your views on the current market?

I'm still bullish with regards to the market movement, we did went as high as $42k, but it seems we have some minor dip to ~$40k. But it doesn't mean that we are not in the bullish phase though, maybe some traders have sold out to take profits, simply as that.

And I speculate that we might be heading to $45k at the end of the month. We have many days to accomplish it and it is doable as the sentiments is bullish.
2935  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 03, 2021, 01:20:09 AM
Rumors are that Kyle Lowry is about to sign a deal with the Miami Heat. This is a bit surprising to me, but I guess that is as close to a contender as he could get. I know he really wanted to win a ring and play with his friend Derozan again (they still talk on the phone daily). Maybe we’ll see Derozan try to make his way to Miami as well, but I’ve heard nothing to indicate that.

I think Lowry already confirmed it thru his twitter:

https://twitter.com/Klow7/status/1422325852709216256

I guess when Lakers took WB, it's the end of the deal for Lowry to be LA bound. So him and DeRozan playing together again might be out of the picture. But I don't know how will he be a perfect team for Miami though, unless Miami offload some of it's players so that Lowry will have minutes to play.
2936  Economy / Speculation / Re: The "what's causing this price increase/decrease?" thread on: August 01, 2021, 08:07:05 AM
tldr; supply and demand

Not sure if that was supposed to be a smartass'ish answer...

Might not be the smartest answer, but the market is base on this tenant though.

Probably the reason for the recent spike is that there is no FUD, or at least the China FUD is dead already. Even when Amazon confirmed that they are not going to accept bitcoin as of the moment, the price continue to soar above $40k'ish.
2937  Economy / Speculation / Re: At last at last, bitcoin increase more than $41,000 on: August 01, 2021, 03:11:36 AM
$50k is in sight, although I'm not very good at predicting the price.. this time my prediction was right, it has reached the level of $40k from the price of $30k, and I have already benefited from the short term that I did. This time it's a new entry to start over, and it looks like next time I'll take the long term to $60k and even higher. good luck to us & stay consistent in the hold.

Short term, that is the next target, $50k and it's within range already, couple of thousands of dollars and a billion worth of trading next week, we might be in the verge of breaking that huge mental barrier. Yeah, long term it could be in the range of $60k-$100k. So a long way to go, but we have weathered the storm already, all we have to see is keep calm and have patience and continue to stack sats. August for sure will be wild ride for all of us.
2938  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 01, 2021, 02:39:45 AM
I stayed away of the NBA news, and I just realize, westbrook is going to the Lakers, I'm surprised.

I even think the Lakers made a good choice, the only significant loss in this trade was losing Montrezl Harrell and first pick in the draft. Just for Kuzma leaving the Lakers was already something good (I'll feel so sorry to Wizards for accepting Kuzma lol)

Guys, What did you think of this negotiation? Who got a bigger advantage, Lakers or Wizards?

Obviously, it will be the Lakers, as they added a premier point guard in Westbrook that can make the Lakers good again next season. And they will be the favorite again, with Bron and Davis so that's already a big 3. Harrell game though as a Laker dip this season as compare when he was with the Clippers, and he plays center position, and I think he is undersized for that. And Lakers still have Drummond and Gasol in the middle.

As for Kuzma, he didn't let to the expectations in the last two years, so it's good that he still in the NBA and not with the Shanghai Sharks,  Grin.

Wizard is the loser here, WB and Beal is a good combination and they bring Wizards in the playoffs after 2 years if I'm not mistaken. Can you imagine Beal and Kuzma lifting Wizards to at least 6th-8th place at least next season?
2939  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hoping to see a bitcointalk token sooner on: July 31, 2021, 02:49:04 AM
Thats impossible to happen this forum is for btc and no other coin will be created unless theymos decided to create a utility token to be use only in this forum Im thinking of the current merit to become a utility token and the supply is according to the total existing number of merits for sure it will be expensive when traded but looks too impossible for this idea.

There is no hint by theymos that he is interested in any bitcointalk token. I think its not necessary as this is bitcoin forum and our token is only Bitcoin BTC.
Also there is no use case to introduce such a token other than to make money which is not required by this forum.

Yes, obviously Theymos has accepted bitcoin or grin maybe, but to have our own token just for pure hype and pump-and-dump? I don't think he will like the idea of it.

This has been discussed many times before and there is no way bitcointalk will do that, if they wanted to then a long time ago maybe along with the creation of the forum they have done that, so I hope you don't associate forums with tokens. This is just a place to get a lot of information

You have to understand that during the creation of this community, there is no altcoins yet? and ever this is, altcoin is just minority and people chooses BTC as the prime mover of cryptocurrency market.

But I do agree that the community has evolved so much, from BTC to altcoins, but this still remains as predominantly BTC, 90%.
2940  Economy / Speculation / Re: fomoulation: the age of green dildos is upon us on: July 31, 2021, 02:10:26 AM
^^ We are in the turbulence phase right now, as we are about to break into $42k, (or if might have been broken already.)

So still there is a positive movement as we enter weekend, another week of positive movement during Sat-Sun. But the bigger move should be expected by Monday Aug 2 as we are on a momentum build here targeting $44k-$45. Short term we might be looking $50k tops and then let's see how it goes.
